Great place to get local Ghanaian cuisine with a touch of class.It was a bit noisy when I visited, the closest hand washing station wasnt working properly, and it was almost impossible to get a place to park. Otherwise it was a wonderful evening.

The place is very pretty. Good service and a varied menu. Loved it!

Reservations are a must as this quaint restaurant gets packed fairly quickly. You may want to come early or check the menu out ahead of time to assure the items you want are available.

Restaurant was rather full when we arrived so staff kindly let us use garden space to eat which was very pleasant. Food was good and my two friends (visiting Ghanaparticularly enjoyed it. I left a phone and staff were really helpful when I went back later looking for it.

So much customer service lacking , all the credit went to one gentleman who deserves a medal 🏅 for all the hard work others lacked. While others messed up the orders he cleared it up . And even with that being said, theyre highly overpriced for the measly portion of food they served which didnt taste good.

First stop for Ghanaian food. I wasnt disappointed. Beautiful beautiful space

The last experience wasnt that good, we were ignored by staff, food took SO long and the quality of the boiled yam received was not good. All other visits prior were much better. I might give another try, hopefully to restore my faith in this restaurant.

Really nice authentic West African food and very friendly staff

Great choice of specialties, nice setting.But, when we got the main dish there were rather bones than meat, I stayed hungry for quite a high price. And the service took ages. Cant recommend, sorry.

Hangout with my gf here, was awesome. Staff are nice and friendly, a manager came around to ask how everyone was enjoying the food and service, the kokonte and guinea fowl groundnut soup was super delicious 😋, I found the peppered snails too pricey for the quantity though...and a tad too soft.

Buka is a fairly good place for local food but one of the most irritating things is the fish. They dont fry the fish well. The fish is always barely done. I dont know any African person that wants to eat fish that hasnt been fried well (kenaa). I can only assume they are doing this for other groups of people. Youd think you should at least have the option to request for the fish to be cooked well (properly).

Great ambiance forever, but got the wrong food after waiting for hours.Staff would need further training to keep Buka going. I felt lied to if not hoodwinked.

Place was suggested by a friend when I complained to her that I was yet to find a local restaurant in Accra. I was quite impressed, dish came on time, menu were self explanatory, waitress was respectful, environmental was neat. I have few suggestions, clients ought to be reminded prices are VAT exclusive, spotted 1 or 2 house flies in around, and with the price. I think they shd do everything possible to keep flies away. As for the taste of the fufu and goat light soup, it didnt taste local. But 4 stars is ok in all.

Great spot for a date and family. Would recommend reservations to sit upstairs net to the outer walls facing the parking lot; Great view and breeze. Oh and good Food!

Its a very beautiful place. It can get full stop youll have to wait for your seat. However, youll have access to very good waiters who are very professional.Their menu covers a very wide range of local dishes which youll definitely enjoy.Have fun at Buka.

The food was so on point! Very cool and lovely ambience. The art all over the premises were very well curated. We really liked it there.

If you’re going during peak hours, I recommend you call and make a reservation before getting there else you’ll be asked to wait at the waiting area until there’s a free table which is not the best if you’ll with guests.Finding a spot to pack might be difficult during peak hours but security will definitely help you find a spot.The food was generally good as always, my guests enjoyed their meal. I personally felt the size of their iconic tilapia has reduced a bit.I ordered for palm wine and oh my! The packaging and presentation was lovely. The taste was really good.My guest wanted a strong local drink but there was non on the menu so we had to go upstairs to go get it from the bar upstairs.

I was recommended this restaurant by an employee at the hotel I stayed…August 2022The restaurant is amazing, from the ambience to the food to the staff. After my first try, I ate there every single day for the rest of my stay - lunch and dinner. I’ve tried just about every dish from the main courses, and everything was delicious.The quality of food and ambience of the restaurant made up for the slower service in the kitchen. The drinks were served timely and every cocktail and juice I had was good.This restaurant is well run - Please keep it up!!!

A really nice place to enjoy typical African cuisines. Meals are very sumptuous and affordable. Place is usually filled up in the evenings and u may be on queue for a while before you get attended. But Buka is a good restaurant to enjoy quality African meals, including Nigerian delicacies.

Beautiful scenery, tasty foods and top notch customer service. I loved every about the place.

The food was amazing and the ambience was just right. The live music was everything you could dream of. For a minute, I thought the music was coming from the radio but there they were with their trumpet and keyboard singing all the oldies.

10/10 setting. Food is great and absolutely loved the peppered gizzard. Advice to pay with cash or MTN mobile money as we had a little trouble paying with Vodafone cash. 200% recommend

It’s a high end chop bar. Delicious food and a calm space. A hotspot for the diaspora.

The Indian manger guy is rude and only seems to respect you and cater to you if your are foreign, American or feels you are important in some kinda way. I’m American but I didn’t say anything just to see how he acted and the way I was treated was intolerable. From being screamed at to leave a room to the service of the waitresses and waiters was poor and lacking. I use to love this place and have written many blogs and post about how great it is but it seems since 2019 the service and the customer care is missing. Very disappointed and will be writing blogs and post about my treatment and experience. Beyond disappointed, there are much better places to go to that will treat you with respect and that cook the same foods better and have the things you want on the menu.

Buka is amazing! The food is fresh and delicious. If you are looking for authentic Ghanaian food at a nice restaurant in town, this is the place. The vibes are amazing too.

Starting with the aesthetics, it actually had good aesthetic, the arrangements were okay, the design them around the restaurant was good too, there were also full length mirrors!To the food, I tried Banku with Okro for the first time and I would say it wasn’t a bad trial for a first meal.Service, it was a bit below average because there weren’t enough staffs to attend to everyone on time, but the guy who attended to us was pretty welcoming.Overall, my experience at Buka wasn’t a bad one and it’s a place I would go back to and definitely go with friends and family.

The food is always good no matter what you ordered. The starter is amazing. Waiter(sare very friendly and acts professionally. The live band on Wednesdays are so welcoming. What you see and orders is exactly what you get. The food served there can be ordered for any occassion

Visited on a Sunday and they only had buffet, food was okay a nice variety but a little cold for me. Service was not great nobody to greet and sit us once we entered. Was asked to sit downstairs in the end, as upstairs was full and tables were revered. The actual buffet was upstairs and still had to find our own seats.

The food here is really good but the service, terrible. A menu was brought to us about 30 minutes after we had been seated. It took another 30 for the waiter to come back and take our orders. The food took forever to arrive. You should all ahead to make a reservation before going since the place can get full and you’ll have to wait a couple of minutes for people to leave before you get seated. I’m indifferent about going back here.

Oh best believe you are going to wait to get inside lol but once you are there you will experience some amazing flavors. Question is is it worth the wait....Id say so!

Buka! I had an amazing experience here. I just loved the ambience, the service and the great food. The waiters were really nice and courteous.The foods served were very delicious I enjoyed every single bite.The only problem I got was that my reservation was not noted. I had to look for a table but that wasn’t tedious.I Will 💯 recommend.

It was my first experience tasting Ghanaian food, and this was the right place to do it. The restaurant is charming, with great African Art all over the place. The staff is friendly and very efficient, but most of all, the food was great. They have very good Covid prevention measures in place and they enforce them. I highly recommend eating at this restaurant while in Accra.

They didnt have my original order and the goat in the goat soup I ordered next...lets just say Ive had juicier, tender goat meat elsewhere. I struggled with it and eventually gave up. The soup didnt taste fresh and was lukewarm. The soap in their dispenser in the restroom was out. Thank God I always carry sanitizer on me.My second dish was better. Egusi stew with boiled yam. And it took forever for me to get my orders. My mates were already on their main dish and I was just starting on my first. Frustrated AF

Excellent restaurant. From the atmosphere, service and food, everything was fantastic. The green salad was fresh with sweet tomatoes. The peppered smails were hot and moist but not rubbery. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection. And the red fish steak was seasoned well, tasty and moist. The meat fell off the bone. But my favorite were the sweet plantains! I highly recommend this restaurant.

Ive been here quite a number of times and always enjoyed the local Ghanaian dishes. My last experience with tilapia was not the best but still a good local African dishes place.

This is one of the most popular restaurants in Accra. The prices are a bit on the high side but are worth it. I liked that their restrooms were very clean and there was a station to wash hands. They serve everything West African.If you are lucky, you might sight a celebrity. I saw Jidena, the musician, when I visited. You can pay in cash or with card. I liked that they had those options.

The food was really good. That I can vouch for. Our waiter was not bad. The dishes we were not to sure about she took her time to explain it and what it had in it. It just took a pretty long time to get the bill sorted out and brought to us. Loved the ambiance. It was very relaxing. If you want local dishes this is the place to be!
