Hilly, dog-friendly nature area offering forested hiking trails to waterfalls & panoramic overlooks.
Great hike. Definitely some steep up high climbs. Worth it for the overlooks!
Beautiful place! The Noggin trail was much harder than I thought. I chose it on my 3rd trip up there, its very rocky due to much of the trail being along a creek bed & quite slippery in places but Absolutely Beautiful!
This is a great place to hike. Easy access and free to park. Takes about an hour and a half to hike to Tip Top if you go at a good pace by way of the Cascades. Free printable maps online. Trails well-labeled. Narrow trails but beautiful sights along the way. Well maintained trails. Second highest point overlook on east side of mountain affords clearer views than Tip Top. Love this place!
Small park with hiking trails. Pretty views. Off the beaten path for sure.
We just rode through I didnt stop to check all the other things out we just went up and rode through and come back down but it was pretty it was nice
We hiked Noggin which followed along the creek—we had a toddler with us and had to stop at the steeper section. But the first mile or so was gorgeous and totally doable with a toddler. Beautiful park!
Beautiful trail. 😍
Couldn’t help but stop at one of my favorite parks In Johnson City.
Good park
Beautiful place. Lots trails to hike..if you’re not hiker be ready to have some sore legs. Bring some water. Over all worth it!
Some really nice trails. Great views. Only saw one other human while we were there. Very close to town and easy to get to off the highway.
Several steep trails, without difficulty markings at the trailheads. Some trails are narrow and eroded, so watch your step! A pretty place and great exercise, just be prepared!
Walked up on a 300 lbs. Black bear. No joke. Be careful
Regular workout spot! Love the variety of trails here and the fact that you can choose one to suit the difficulty or workout level youre looking for. Beautiful views and nature here too - nice and close to Johnson City, so easy for a daily workout and with fewer people than Warriors Path Park in Kingsport. Love it!
Short hike to a beautiful view! Perfect for watching the sun set and eating pizza!
love this mountain. the right side of the trail at the first White Rock Loop sign will take you to Tiptop. Its the highest point and primarily overlooks Johnson City, although there is some view on the backside as well. The left fork takes you to White Rock. Its one big loop, but the left fork is much steeper and shorter. The right fork is more moderate, but still has some narrow areas. Never once seen a person actually manning the checkpoint stand.
We love to hike here! Beautiful trails and veiws, family friendly and usually not crowded.
Went sledding. So many unattended children, got pushed off the mountain with my child... fell 15 feet.Go.at your own risk. Im grateful a family on vacation stopped to help us.
Great place to hike. Trails and roads allow you a choice of terrain. Several places offer extended scenic views, and the trees and streams are wonderful. The beauty of Gods creation is abundant here.Important things to note:¹There are no bathrooms here.²Parking is tight, and it is not always easy to turn around.³Picnic area is bare bones and not up to date.⁴There are no water fountains here.⁵If there are trash cans here, I dont know where they are.So its a great place to stop by and hike, but bring your water bottle full and you should be good.
Love the picnic area at the top (via road). Only wish they had restrooms.
The view is worth the walk!
It was enjoyable and biking was fun it is a rush flying down the hills like a kid just make sure you have good brakes on your bike will be going again soon
Great trails to hike through terrain from mountain tops to creekside hiking offering amazing views. Pretty picnic area and well signed well maintained trails.
Excellent place to hike, really looking forward to goin back 👍
It was a great ride for the most part. The trails could use a little grooming. The thing that aggravates me most is people throwing their trash out.
Some trails really tough but those views are amazing!!
Nice hike, difficult parking
Beautiful place.
Nice place for mountain bikes and a wonderful view
Great for hiking and getting much needed exercise, beautiful views and not overcrowded like most places.
Awesome views and a great place to hike
Very nice local hiking trails.
Loved it. Has picnic benches and a few pavilions. There is a checkpoint attendant for safety too. I am glad so see public land utilized in such a fantastic way. Saw several families out enjoying the great out doors. Plenty of hiking trails too.
Great trails, mostly easy to moderate. The views at the top are worth the effort.
The trail is no joke. Went on the trail marked with white paint. Probably a bit too dangerous for kids, the trail slopes down, off the trail is the sideof a mountain. It was beautiful though.
Beautiful Park with an amazing view of Tennessee. There is plenty of shade to relax in and the walk up the mountain is not scary. It is quite easy as long as you are okay with heights.
A nice hike that was challenging enough but not too challenging. This hike was mostly well-marked until the very end when we ended up making a wrong turn and going in a circle. The views are nice and there are plenty of places to stop and enjoy the view or have lunch.
Love the trails and cleanliness. I do wish they would get a kiosk for trail maps. Im also confused about the parking situation as the sign says they close at 6 but when we left people were still going in.
Definitely for hiking, me and my boyfriend didnt know that at the time so we didnt come prepared for that kind of thing at all.. so we drove a while up the mountain and found what we thought was going to be a big beautiful park on a mountain, but it was a good sized gazebo with a bench and big sign of the many hiking trails going up to the very top of the mountain, we started walking up one trail and only ten minutes in we had no choice but to turn around as we did not have the necessary shoes for hiking nor the any of the must have prepared strength for any kind of up Mountain hike. But this experience was due to our own fault for not checking out what it was first
I love this hiking trail. It is very adult friendly and I take my entire family as well. We have 6 kids from the age of 4 up to 12 yrs. And they all love it!! I recommend this hike for anyone who loves the outdoors and loves to explore.
I love visiting the park. Great views, various trails of different difficulties, and lots of good shade on the trails.
Trails are very rough. Straight uphill. Im not in shape, but hike often, and I had to stop and turn around because it was too hard for my son. It was nice and cool next to the creek and under all of the trees.
One of my favorite places to hike!
No trash cans. Really rundown. But very quiet. Roads are steep but trails are awesome. Great place to walk a dog or relax.
Went hiking with 3 children. Its a easy hike and was fun for the children. Bring a camera!
Beautiful park. Trails are a little rough for small kids or inexperienced hikers but beautiful views and accurately marked trails.
Really nice place to have a beer and relax in the nice weather of the city
Not sure I can fully review because I didnt hike the trails. However, unless I missed something I didnt see a park building or any kind of formal parking. There were tons of people parked in their cars in various spots....just sitting there...without any kind of view..it was pretty creepy so I bailed.
Its a nice place for a day hike bring a map your first time cause there are a few forks.
Well maintained trails. Good even foot kids. my 4yr old was able to hike under half a mile to a bluff and see her first overlook.
