Buffalo Creek BBQ in Cleburne

Have lived in the area for 8 years, just tried Buffalo Creek BBQ! Absolutely the best bbq I’ve tasted in North Texas! Everything on the menu looked and I’m sure tasted as good as it smells. I had the pulled pork sandwich w/coleslaw and green beans. Hubby had the brisket and sausage w/English pea salad and green beans. The pecan pie is pretty awesome too. What a great change from Dickeys! We will definitely be back!

Had Brisket. Good meat. Good sauce. Will try again. Give them a try.

I got the 3 meat plate, St Louis pork ribs, brisket and sausage with 2 sides. Everything was amazing 🤩 the pecan pie was to die for 😋 very nice and polite ppl too.

Dined under the tree at picnic table. 2 meat plate and pecan pie with tea. Food was great.

Got the Pulled Pork sandwich special. Cole slaw and potato salad for the sides. OUTSTANDING!! There is nothing negative to say about anything. Perfect!

I brought my husband here for the 1st time and he enjoyed the food fresh juicy and not dry. The best bbq ever.

Good barbecue. Servers very nice guys. Enjoyed our meals both times we have been here. We love getting the Texas Trash, baked potato with choice of meat, beans and cheese, etc. Very filling.

Dry brisket, dry beef ribs and, okay potato salad.My recommendation is to avoid unless youre fond of good potato salad. The actual barbecue fell short of average. 2 to 3 stars BBQ joint at best.

This place is amazing! I am so glad they survived the pandemic shutdown!!! Where else can you get homemade pea salad, cornbread salad & banana puddin?

This is the only good place for food in Cleburne. They have the best bbq in Cleburne for sure. Try the bologna!

We wanted an authentic, local barbeque, Texas style..and we found it! Brisket, ribs, beans, Mac and cheese, all delicious. Pecan Pie is great!

The food was amazing, and the service was awesome. I found the baked beans a little sweet, but that is my only complaint. Everything else about the place is great!

I would like to say that this place and the food is amazing! They are extremely nice and if your a regular they will remember you. My husband has been going there for years and he is known as the Safelite guy ( the potato/rib manlol. They treat us with such kindness 😊 Love their sweet tea and their desserts are delicious!

We were in the Cleburne area and wanted some BBQ. We selected Buffalo Creek based on their reviews. Im so glad we did. I had the brisket sandwich with jalapeno pinto beans and cole slaw as sides. The brisket was excellent. Tasty and tender. We will definitely be back!

Pretty good BBQ. I had a chopped beef sandwich and frankly, the meat was pretty dry without a lot of sauce. The ribs were good though and theyve got great sides. 1 thing did annoy me the day I was there. A bunch of coworkers were dining together but kept arriving later and later. The workers that were already there just kept letting them cut into the line. This happened 6 times! The owner should have put a stop to it. There were other patrons standing in line first!

Still the best brick and mortar bbq joint, in town. Pulled pork, over one of those huge spuds…..🤤Jalapeño pintos are the bomb. Excellent potato salad. Banana pudding and peach cobbler are worth loosening your belt!!

Absolutely one of the best Bbq places in the entire metroplex. I highly recommend the Texas Trash(Frito pie). It rocks.

Excellent BBQ. We had brisket, smoked turkey, and some sides, including Mac and cheese.All were excellent. If you like BBQ you will like Buffalo Creek.However, more than that, we came in later in the afternoon, closer to 2:30. They had just been slammed by a lunch crowd. They were amazing! We could tell they were tired but they served us with smiles.All around excellent restaurant and staff.

This place is amazing…best BBQ I’ve had since being in this fabulous state…gluten free sauce too!!! Can’t wait to go back!!!

Uuuummmmm no. I love love love ribs. I was visiting and on my own for a few hours and decided I wanted to get some small town (Im from Houston areaBBQ.The ribs tasted like they were boiled or maybe even made in a instapot and then a little smoke put on them. The potato salad and mac n cheese was good. I asked a few locals where to get good BBQ in Cleburne and the consensus was there isnt one this place is as good as it gets around here.

I decided to visit this place because of the Google ratings and Im glad I did. If you are in the area, its wonderful. If you are at least within an hour drive or want to take a drive - its worth it.I always look for meat that can stand on its own without sauce - this one did. Make sure you try it that way yourself - youll have to let them know not to drown it in sauce. Unfortunately, I didnt catch it in time and had to ask for another plate. They really should ask first - not everyone cares for sauce.Anyway - jalapeno pintos were great and so was the potato salad. I also got the pecan pie and it was well worth the splurge. Hope you stop by and try them - great place and everyone is very friendly.

Wisconsinite and this place is great💯. The best place Ive found so far in 🤠texas. Great value🤑 great taste🤯. When in town we go at least 2x ✌a week. Their pecan pie is also the best Ive ever had. We stop here when we leave and bring a whole pie home every time. Try their cornbread salad. Never seen it before but fell in love with it. Ive gone to big name places also like coopers by the stock yard in fort worth and buffalo creek is still the best Ive ever had.

The brisket and sausages have absolutely no flavor. Tasted like the brisket was cooked in the oven absolutely no smoke flavor and the sausages tasted like they were boiled in water and steamed. The sides were no better. This was the first and last time I’ll eat here.

Nice selection of sides. Iced teas are good. Friendly and helpful staff. Was a bit surprised when I ate the brisket sandwich. Very little meat, thinly sliced and no smoke flavor. Almost like eating baked steak. Parking is limited. Getting out the parking lot can be a challenge.

I use this restaurant to order turkey and ham for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I order it weeks before the holiday and pick the order up the day before the holiday. Its always good and my order is always correct. When I went to order the meat for Thanksgiving the person who took my order was very polite to let me know that I couldnt order the turkey in advance because of the turkey shortage this year. He further told me that they are having a hard time getting turkey delivered to them. They never know when they are going to get turkey deliveries. He told me that all the other meats are available to order early. So Thanksgiving will have barbecue brisket and ham this year and everything will be great.Update: we got our barbecue for Thanksgiving. The brisket was awesome and the ham the best ham I have ever eaten. I received ham from them in previous years and this year the ham was so much better. Thicker slices, very little fat and very moist. I will continue to get my Thanksgiving and Cristmas barbecue from Buffalo Creek BBQ. And I will order food, especially the ham, more frequently!

Stopped in today for the first time, was really, really good! Super friendly, will definitely be back. I had the turkey, hubby had ribs and brisket, son had sausage, everybody was full and happy!

The food stays pretty consistent & its good. They seem to have a high turn over rate & the employees can be a little rude & off putting. But not a big deal i suppose because you probably wont ever see them again.

Came here with my dad and hubby recently. DELICIOUS! Its a very small, humble little place, but oh so good. When they run out, they are out, so plan accordingly. The jalapeño beans are so good! Brisket melts in your mouth. Yum!

The Meats is good. But their sides is where its at! Love the cornbread salad and pea salad, Yummy! And if youre craving pecan pie, like the one that special family member makes from scratch at Thanksgiving every year, well try theirs, its pretty good!

My husband & I just ate here for the first time tonight, we will be back! The people make you feel like they have known you forever and the young man behind the counter is a breath of fresh air, he’s friendly and funny. We tried several of the different meats they offer and we were not disappointed in any of them and the sauce is just perfect. For me though, the star of the show was the Cornbread Salad that they make themselves, it’s definitely the things cravings are made from.If y’all have not been here, GET YOUR SELF THERE.... you won’t regret it!!! If you have been, get back there and support this wonderfully delicious, small town with big taste restaurant.Keep up the good work y’all!!!!

My family and I dined in. We ordered some brisket sandwiches, meat plates and a “trash” potato. When we got home we were all stomach sick. Some of us have it worst than the others. Food tasted good but something did not sit well with us. The sides were under heat lamps so I am not sure how long they have been sitting there.

Oh my was this a pleasant surprise. Outside looked a little underwhelming. Thank goodness we went in! Samples were offered on just about anything we wanted to try. Folks were beyond friendly and bent over backwards to make sure you got what you wanted and how you wanted it. OUTSTANDING EVERYTHING! We are going back for sure. Almost went back same day 5 hours later for desserts!

Wow, first time visiting Buffalo Creek BBQ and it was amazing. Flavor, everything I ordered had flavor. The Jalapeno Beans and Cornbread Salad tasted great. They gave me samples in line and treated me like a friend!

Been here three times with my fiance. Food is always great staff is extremely fun and interactive with customers very welcome and down home environment. Also again food is amazing from brisket to the desert try something new everytime I go and have yet to be disappointed. Great job and keep up the amazing work.

We stopped to get dinner to go. I ordered ribs and gave up my sides for a baked potato with butter. When we got home I opened up the box to find a rotten potato inside the store knew this because they had put butter on it. It smelled like it had been in the warmer for days. To let something like that out of your restaurant says your food is nasty would never eat here again .
