BuffBurger in Montrose

I came to eat a burger today and found out that the restaurant has a new owner so I was like dang I drove all the way out here, hopefully the food is good... so I asked the cashier and she said the recipe is the same and Im the new owner. Ok cool, she has the torch. So I placed the order and the burger tasted delicious, thanks to the cooks. I give it a 4 because as I was eating, other customers asked her questions about her restaurants food and she replied "I think it does have that or Im not sure if we made one today" and honestly, if you now own an established business it would be wise to learn the product because customers are what keep it afloat.. aside from that congrats to her and hopefully the torch stays lit years to come.

Buff burger is a nice fast casual burger joint. I had the Texan burger, and specifically enjoyed the chargrilled patty. The tots and truffle fries were very good as well, I liked how the fries were more shoestringy, which meant that you got a nice quantity. The ambience is nice, and the front of house service was extremely good!

We ordered two well done burgers through GrubHub, and the delivery was quick! They should have taken some time to grill them properly though... One of them was almost raw inside and inedible. We called the restaurant and they said we had to go through GrubHub for a redelivery, so we did. GH contacted the restaurant and they said it was too late for it to be delivered again. Ugh...it was my husbands bday and he wanted a good burger from a place hed never tried. Bad experience for first time customers. Two stars because the burger flavor was very good overall, just couldnt be eaten by either of us.

What I like about Buff Burger is the way they cook the meat. Never precooked. I get a really juice and flavored patty each time. The bun is soft and I get generous slices of avocado with my order. The fries are very good but so are some of the other chains. I have not tried any of their salads but the women seem to order them all the time.

BuffBurger is one of my families regular spots. The food is consistently good - I mean it, consistently good. You order at the counter but they bring it to you. There are healthy options. They have several beers on tap. There are also specially cocktails. The inside dining area is really nice but it can be a little loud when busy or smokey from the fire. We really dig it.

Excellent food and service. I ordered the avocado burger with side of tarter tots. The bacon is out of this world I also love the jalapeño ketchup.

Was driving by and decided to stop here for the 1st time and man was I pleasantly surprised!! Love the menu and I like their take on a "burger". Fresh ingredients, meat is cooked to your liking, juicy and tasty.Wish there was one closer to where I live, I would frequent this place more often. 💯

Great burgers!They messed up my friends order a little bit, got him well done beef Patty instead of medium Patty. But other than that, it was a great experience!

The truffle burger was amazinfg, but the falafel sandwich was definitely lacking flavor. Although well made, its definitely for those who dont like spices or heavy flavor. Fries were great. Would come back again to try other burgers

We spent a day in the city visiting a museum and stumbled upon Buff Burger and it did not disappoint! It was in a great location with ample parking. The employees were all friendly and happy to accommodate my family of 5. The burgers were all delicious and the kiddos ate free (on Monday). I asked for a lettuce wrapped burger and I was happy to see they had huge lettuce leaves to actually wrap the burger with! Overall we were very happy with Buff Burger and we’ll definitely be back!

Buffburger neatly slips into that list of hamburger joints where the burgers are special because the ingredients are not your standard bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickles, cheese, etc. I would say artisan burger although the burgers on the whole are not at all that outlandish.The burgers are satisfying (I eat more than your average person which says a lot already and I found myself happy with themand the fries are delightful when you get them as truffle fries. And the tater tots. The tater tots are perfect. Excellent, crisp exterior.I would say that since the burgers are cooked on what seems like a wood fired grill that it did get smoky in the restaurant one time I went. The other times Ive gone it wasnt smoky at all.

The beef patty, bacon and onion rings of the Texan burger combined to produce a delicious burger. Others in my group got different items including the Ahi tuna and Avocado burgers and had good feedback about them as well. The environment was casual, and service was friendly.

Sorry folks! No before picture only after. It was so damn good I couldnt wait. That was the Exquisite truffle Burger and the delicious loaded tots. I would go back for those loaded tots everyday of the week till I was sick of them. You should too! Update 3/18/19 I went back and got a before picture....

I got a goat burger on lettuce. They wrap them perfectly and it makes it much easier to eat. I saw they now had tots on the menu. I got super excited to try them and they didnt disappoint. I got the truffle ones, they were very hot which is great since Ive had cold fries in other burger joints. The burger was juicy and done as I asked.

I came here during the week for their happy hour menu. For a beer and a burger, I paid about $14. Not a bad deal.I got the regular burger but with arugula instead. The beef patty was large and juicy. The burger was massive compared to some other places that Ive been to. Lets talk about their buns for the burgers though. They were absolutely delicious!They had a lot of different beers on tap and a small bar area. The place was clean and the staff was quick and friendly.

Very clean and nice restaurant. A bit fancier than some burger joints but the prices aren’t bad. 11 for a burg then extra for fries or side and drink. They also have alcohol with some good options and frozen drinks. The truffle fries were so crispy and good. Highly recommend.

Service was average. The tables were not as clean as one would expect. The food was prepared well. I had Tuna sandwich and it was very tasty and fresh. I would visit the restaurant again. Hopefully they have better service and cleaner area. I had to ask for catch up since the cups were the but dispenser was missing. The staff had to being it from the back.

Buff burger is so delicious! I got goat cheese burger and was very satisfied. The truffle fries had a large amount of salt, but still tasty!!There is a bar and ice cream choices- so it truly caters to the whole family!

This was my first time at Buff Burger. I went there to catch up with a former administrator and try out the gourmet burgers at her invitation. The place was newly built, in operation for just 2 months, according to the cashier taking my order. Everything was clean and one could tell the place was definitely brand spanking new! There was lots of parking spaces, plenty of interior room, and lots of comfortable inside and outside seating. The views out the window are nice too. I was impressed with the staff and their efficient service. They were clearly well trained, delivered the food quickly, and were polite and courteous to the customers. I was able to take my time and the low noise level and good insulation from the sounds outside made it possible to enjoy the conversation I was having. We were able to spend a leisurely 1.5 hours at the place and there was no pressure from the staff to leave...very important at a place where the prices are at a restaurant level. All in all, I would certainly go back there again. The ambience, friendly staff, and ability to enjoy a conversation makes it great for both dining and social meetings. The only reason its not a 5 star for me is that the burgers are gourmet, but not more so than other top of the line gourmet burger chains. The slight premium they charge over other gourmet chains should result in slighty better gourmet burgers. Still, its not a deal breaker, and their food was definitely upscale, fresh, and delicious. 😋

Really good wood fire burgers. And they offer gluten free buns. 5 stars for fantastic taste filled me up. Definitely coming back when I get the need to get my hamburger fix.

A very interesting concept. The burgers are wood fired and use high quality ingredients. Dont get me wrong, it didnt taste bad, it just didnt taste as good as it cost. I dont crave a BuffBurger. If someone bought me one, I would happily eat it but if Im buying, Im not going to BuffBurger.

Burgers are pretty decent with a good selection of beer too. The interior decor is nice and the outdoor seating is a plus. What was very off putting was a sign at the register that stated something along the lines of "For the safety of our staff and customers, we do not accept cash." Now I dont typically pay cash, but on this particular day I was planning on it. Not having a cash option is not a smart idea. In the crowded burger genre you really have to be on top of your game.

I ordered through UberEats a couple of burgers and the Texan Burger meat was almost raw. When I called the restaurant I was told that the burgers are made medium, I told the employee that it was not medium it was rare and that the other burgers were fine. I ended up complaining through UberEats and got refund. But the person who I ordered this for was not able to eat it.

Eating here was a great experience. I loved the aesthetic and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Overall, everything was so pleasant and cute. The food was great and the pricing is fair $12 for a quality burger & fries and $1 extra for truffle fries (which I 100% recommend!The wait time is reasonable, in my experience I estimate it to be less than 15 minutes. This is a place I can highly recommend!

Theyre great, great fries and the burger is also tasty. If you want to grab a burger, you can go there but dont expect something phenomenal!

We had Texas burger and Chicken burger. I liked more chicken burger which was crispy and tender.

Was craving a good burger & Buff Burger delivered! Everything was fresh and so tasty. I really enjoyed the truffle fries and was able to enjoy the burger with a gluten free bun (which is really difficult to do bc most places dont offer them). I dont live in the area, but will visit again when Im in the area wanting a burger.

What can I say about buff burger?? They are burgers with a twist. The first time I went (about 2 weeks after it openedto this restaurant and I thought it was just ok. After this second time I think they might have worked out some of the kinks. I tried the Brit burger with the tater tots for the first time and really enjoyed it. They serve string fries as well, which I love. We ordered a strawberry shake that had too much milk but Ill let that slide. It was great the first time we tired it, so no biggie. They might be a little over priced but it still is a pretty good place to stop. I would like to give them either a 3.5 or 3.75 if I had a choice.

Friendly employees, good food and a decent draft selection. Gluten free, vegan, and whole wheat buns available as well!!

Came here before a rockets game with my dad, since we both really like burgers. He thought it was the best burger hes ever eaten (a compliment of crazy magnitude, considering weve eaten at least 50 burgers together in Houston alone). Im not sure it was the best burger Ive ever eaten, but one things for sure- the quality of the ingredients was the best of any burger Ive ever eaten. Their whole premise is to have fresh, high-quality, and eco-friendly/sustainable ingredients and the execution of that mission is clear from the first bite of the burger. Upgrade whichever burger you get to truffle fries. I also had a chocolate shake (I had to ask if they serve shakes because it was not on the menu). Friendly customer service, clean restaurant, and great smells. Great experience, not surprised at all to find out that theyre growing and opening up new locations steadily.

Hands down the BEST burger I have ever had! I had their blue burger and truffle fries and I finished every last bite! The burgers are small, but still enough for an adult, and they compensate with a ton of fries. I also had their cookie butter shake, which was delicious as well! I will definitely be returning!

Very nice premium burgers. The chicken sandwich is also excellent and an order of magnitude better than the better known chicken place with the cows. Good selection of beers, wine & cocktails. Counter service with table delivery. The beef was very nice and they actually seem to understand what "medium", "well", etc mean. Decent sized parking lot that usually has room.

Great fries! Love the texture- crunchy, shoelace style, but not too thin. The burger was a miss for me. Good quality meat, but very much lacking in flavor. Not a bad little place. The environment is relaxed and great for family.

This place is so delish!! I usually can not eat a whole burger because my body ends up wanting to reject it but here I can! The meat tastes so fresh and light.

Really enjoyed the burgers here. Definitely a place I will eat again. I had the Texan burger and it was awesome. The fries and jalenpeño ketchup were perfect. Also, as a parent you have to enjoy a place where the kids will eat all their food 😁

This place is so good! I love that they are able to wrap any burger in lettuce. Its great if you are doing low-carb. Their salad is also hearty, fully of awesome veggies, and delicious! If you are looking for good quality and unique burgers, this place is for you.

Came here for a quick bite on my way to the Menil Collection museum, basically half a block away, across the street/parking.The decor is modern and extremely clean, and they have several beers on tap. There is parking on the backside. The large window walls provide excellent natural lighting.I ordered the goat cheese burger and it was delicious. The goat cheese is subtle, soft and they spread a good amount on it. The burger pattie I got medium well and it was juicy but not bloody.The fries and shake looked really good as well (gentleman in front of me ordered them w/ no burger so they must be pretty good), cant wait to come back and try them out!

Nice staff. Really good burger made with high quality ingredients. I had the Buff Burger. I thought the bun, burger and add ons were well balanced. I especially liked their fries - thin and cooked perfectly. Only complaint was the ice in my water had a funny taste.

Food was decent; the employees were really nice. I got a regular burger, and it was a lot of bun (which makes it difficult to eat without a knife to slice in halfand french fries with jalapeño ketchup (these were pretty good). The decor is cute, but if you sit at one of the farm tables, you’re right next to two massive trash cans. They should add some outside fans so outside eating is an option in the summer heat. They also have a pretty full bar, but the ambience seemed much more fast-food than “let’s hang out here for a while.” I went on a Friday evening around 8pm, maybe it’s more hip at lunchtime or late-night?

Very delicious burgers. Their French fries are addicting, both the regular and the truffled. I have been here twice now. The only thing I would say is to be sure to tell them how you would like your burger cooked. The first time I came I didnt know that I needed to specify well done (for health reasons I need all meat to be cooked through, no pink). But leaving a 5 star review because when I told them about it, they made me a new burger right away and did not charge me. Very nice place with very wonderful people running it.

Burger was good, but way overcooked from what I asked for, thats why 4 instead of 5 stars.The regular fries were very good and a large portion. Had a free taster of the ice cream they have. It was super sweet but after the burger and fries I did not have room. I think they make the ice cream there. Also offered frozen chocolate chip cookie dough, I declined. They said its very popular with the young kids. Everyone there was really friendly. Cool chic modern bar area with bar seating. I was there for lunch so didnt have that. Will go again when i am on the area. Texas country/folk artists piped in for music. Loved that and even Shazamed some songs.

Buff Burger has a great atmosphere and location. They use fresh locally sourced, quality products. I went for lunch and ordered a classic Buff Burger with cheddar cheese, truffle fries, and a lemonade from their counter service. Total cost about $20 and they only take credit cards. I loved the buns.

I had the Brit burger and truffle fries, and both were amazing! My fiance greatly enjoyed his Avocado burger. The limeade was delicious as well. The overall space was nice. I like the focus on local, sustainable operations. We will definitely be back soon!

Really good burgers on the budget. Great for families and for groups. They made a special event on May 19 with a BBQ burger menu, and I had the best burger of my life. No kidding. I hope they can do that again, because they do not serve those burgers normally.

Bergers here are great. Cooked on a wood grill. The perfect size. I highly recommend the "Texan"

Neat place, bartender was friendly and they have a good local beer selection. Nice outdoor seating. They cook the meat very well here and it is sourced from 44 Farms so it is quality beef. Fries are thin cut and crispy. Truffle fries come with a nice aioli.

Buffburger! The most delicious unseasoned burger I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Im not salty over it, I suppose they want to showcase the locally sourced meat, but if you have a seasoned palette youre going to be let down.My eating companions were less dismayed by the dearth of spices as they are straight carnivores and 100% unadulterated meat was a treat, but even they agreed there wasnt a speck of season to be seen.I mean not even some paprika? Lawrys? Herbs de Provence? Something!?!On the plus side the fries were LEGIT, the decor is cute farm chic, and service was efficient. Even the toppings on the burger were super delicious! Too bad Im not willing to go back and pay for another blah burger.Life is too short for unseasoned food.

I always rate a great hamburger by the number of napkins I dirty! I had the buff cheese burger and it was nice. Cooked perfectly.
