Relaxed playground offering accessible play equipment & a water splash area in a tree-shaded park.
Tried to visit the splash park on 7/30/2022 and its getting rebuilt right now. Sign says closed until January 2024.
Toddlers park
Time to update the playground and add some new equipment. It is at an odd location from where you park. The kids will love it regardless.
I like how big the whole area is for kids to run around. Several play areas and swings. The playground has a lot of rusty areas, could use an update. The parking lot is pretty far so factor in a 10 min walk to and from your car.
Very nice playground. All the kids were nice to each other and played several rounds of hide and seek.
Sad to say but this playground is dangerous, much of the playground equipment is broken and rusty. It is truly shameful that none of the playground equipment has been replaced or repaired.
Love it!
The park is dead, it looks like it was deserted a decade ago, no maintenance where so ever, swamps of mosquitoes and bugs. Homeless people sleeping everywhere, drunk people too. It was a terrible experience
Theres an abundance of homeless people roaming around the play area and a bunch more sleeping by the only restrooms in the area. Not such a safe feeling place
My family has been pretty locked down the last year and only recently started going back out to playgrounds. So it has been a while since we have visited this one. We were really surprised to see some dangerous rusty areas at the playground that were a major safety hazard. Particularly on a walking bridge on one part of the playground for older children. If a child would have stepped onto this area their leg could have easily fallen through and been cut by the rusted metal. I felt the need to stand over the problem area as I was worried children would hurt themselves on it.Edit: I contacted the Herman park conservancy about my concern and they said they would forward it to the Houston parks and rec team.
Muy bueno todo pero hace más de 5 meses las escaleras están dañadas y se puede lastimar algún pequeño y hoy le rompió el pantalón a mi pequeño muy muy mala la atención sobre los cuidadosVery good everything but more than 5 months ago the stairs are damaged and you can hurt some small and today I broke my little pants very very bad attention on care
Did not visit here.
So serene place to spend you weekend evenings
The walk was a little too much for my 3 year old from the parking lot but we loved the park it wasnt too crowded and the splash pad was perfect for the heat. Also check out the dock next to that park many turtles and ducks to see.
Padding over concrete on playground does not meet minimum standards for child safety Restrooms need to updated and they need soap
There is no sign board to recognize! A lot for improvement!
Just a great time for families or romantic settings
Best
Someone was smoking marijuana there , and the whole place smelled , obvious we were there for 30 sec
Playground is old and dirty now. The restroom are gross.
Nice playground for what it is. There are a few nicer ones in the area.
The playgrounds are nice something for any child. The playgrounds are a bit rough/rust showing their age.
Nice place for kids to play!!!
Its an okay park. The old name was Herman Park. I just advise moms to leave once it becomes dark because this is when a lot of homeless men come out. The environment is a bit scary for a mom of small kids walking through unless its early.
Homeless peoples home. Very nasty place. Why would the city allow this. Says for all children. I wouldnt go play there thats for damn sure. Just sorry.
Slow and rude staff
