High-end Pan-Asian cuisine plus cocktails and live DJ sets in an extravagant baroque setting.
The service was not good. Took around around an hour for the food to arrive. We didn’t get cutlery until we asked for it. The food overall tasted good but not worth the prices. Would not recommend overall.
I could not believe how poor the service was. I am genuinely confused at how they can charge these prices and provide such an appalling experience. Starter came quick, but the main did not come for about 1hr, and then it was only half the food. Really surprised at how disappointing the whole experience was, and will certainly not return.
Went for my cousins birthday. We had a family a meal. Food was nasty pad Thai tasted like pasta with tomato sauce. The customer service is awful. They made us wait 40mins before they took our order. Service was slow through the night. We asked why we didn’t pay the service charge we advised food was not good and service was slow the lady then huffed and puffed at us. I’ve been here few times before it was good but this place has gone downhill. We got into a conversation with other customers in the bathroom they also said the food was horrible.Avoid this place if your want good quality food. You are pretty much paying for the decor of the place.
I attended Buddha Bar as part of my birthday week celebrations. I first went 7-8 years ago when there was a classy and mature crowd. The food was exquisite as were the cocktails. The service from Simon was 10/10.However, the dress code is appalling. We were surrounded by half naked women who were allowed in wearing skirts that barely covered their genitals wearing no bras under their clothes that hogged the stair case for hours taking selfie after selfie. The staircase was a loitering area for barely dressed women looking for someone to buy then a drink and men ogling at them.On the contrary Ivy Asia (another Sushi restaurantlimits people standing up and taking pictures as it is a sit down restaurant. This policy should be applied here. Some men were dressed in shabby tracksuits and dirty trainers. We were told tracksuits would not be allowed when we called to check the dress code but this is not the case.People were allowed to stand around constantly which made other diners sitting down feel uncomfortable. The food here is pricey but exceptional. Our waiter was fantastic but serious measures need to be introduced regarding the dress code and for those allowed to stand around pointlessly for hours. This place has really gone down hill and could benefit from some proper management. I don’t intend to return here sadly.
Fabio service is five star and beyond , super attentive and made us feel so welcome and we felt like Buddha bar was an experience tailored especially for us . Gabriele was amazing his English is so amazing and we were fascinated and enticed by his amazing cocktail making skills . We are staying at the bulgari and will recommend all our friends in the GCC to visit budda bar only because of these two amazing people
We hosted a bar mitzvah for around 150 people at the Budha bar. The team headed up by Christiaan couldn’t have been better. The organisation was incredible. Team worked with all suppliers, created and managed event running order. Liased with suppliers pre and during event. Dressed and decorated the room impeccably. The food on the night was 5 star the perfect canapés, all food was presented beautifully. From the cooked dishes to the sushi all canapés were outstanding in both taste and design. We had dietary requirements of some kosher and a severe nut allergen this was handled with great consideration. The food was truly 5 star delicious and the presentation completely divine. The deserts were equally great, little bites of everyone’s favourite deserts and presented with team walking through carrying sparklers. It was absolutely impeccable in every way. Thanks Chef! The cocktails and mocktails were perfection and our guests certainly tried them all. The bar staff were friendly and fun and incredibly quick. Some great bar tricks on display too for added entertainment. The staff were the greatest asset of all charming, polite they couldn’t do enough for us. The team were fantastic with the children and helped to create an electric atmosphere. The room was constantly being restocked and cleaned. The standards set the bar. We had a complete 5 star experience on every level and I cannot thank the team again they were the best I have ever seen. Highly recommend and will be rebooking. If I could have given 6 stars I would Budha bar and team certainly deserve it. *****
Had a party there over the weekend. The food was fantastic; the team who helped us organise it were 100% incredible. Worked so hard, everything went perfectly. Place looked amazing, great music and fun. If you looking for a great night out in London, with great cocktails and food go! Christian was amazing - an incredible man who helped beyond. Thank you
This is a unique environment. I have experienced Buddha Bar in NY, Paris, and now London.Very sweet vibe, pricey yet delicious!Definitely worth the visit..
Had a terrible experience with my boyfriend. The food was as if it was thrown into a microwave- no thought or care, I would even say disgusting. When we did complain the manager was rude and confrontational. Save your money!
When I arrived my friend who was visiting London was sat tucked away in the corner, the first right as u enter the restaurant in a dark nook, as a black person your always on alert if this happens as a red flag. I sat, the waitress was polite, food was ok. As we progressed the evening I counted at least 5 other black couples asked to sit in the same tucked up area, most being from London and obv not wanting to sit in the corner. Was very very odd that this was the first offering but there was obv availability elsewhere in the restaurant and was offered up after the customer complained. Doesn’t seem coincidental and quite frankly unacceptable. It’s not a cheap restaurant by any stretch of the imagination, this isn’t 1920 Alabama this is London and u should treat people spending money here with the same respect and not attempt to hide them in a dark corner. Do better.
Went there on a Saturday night, not busy at all. Ordered 4 drinks, took 15/20 minutes to arrive. 2 Aperol Spritz and 2 Spicy Margaritas £78. Rip off!
I use to come here often however I visited recently after 3 months and everything has just changed drastically! The lamb chops I ordered was so plain and tasteless, for £44 you’d think it would’ve been top notch! The food took 40 minutes to come and everything was just in my opinion disgusting. Me and my partner spent around £170 and I even complained to the manager about the quality of the food! It was bland tasteless and absolutely dry! The staff was slow on service and just walking around talking, it wasn’t busy so I don’t understand why I had to wait 15minutes for some sauces! The manager then mentioned how they have a new chef, also how I’m not the first to complain about the food. Before when I use to come it was lovely and full of flavour, I must say I will never be returning again. For the price paid it was shambolic, I regret even paying that amount.
Amazing place and amazing experience. Regular dining at Buddha Bar is incredible, the food is actually amazing! This past weekend I hosted a friends 40th birthday in the private dining room and it was the best set up! The food was incredible and more then enough for our guests, we were able to set up a mini bar in the room and a full DJ set up. The staff and management were so incredibly accommodating and very nice! I will be hosting more of my parties at Buddha Bar! The private room is perfect for any party 20+.
What a great spot with amazing food and super cool vibe. Try the toro tartar 😻 as well as their ceviche and sesame cake. This place is great for both romantic dinners and fun-filled nights. We had amazing time, to repeat.
The food was decent if anything. The staff are friendly and very fast serviceAnd thats about itExtremely overpriced in comparison to all the other restaurant in London . Explains why on a Eid weekend it was empty . Will not go again for sureHalal meat providedGood location minutes walk from harrods
Lovely food so tasty especially the octopus & chilli mini squid defo recommend staff were lovely and the Latin live music entertainment was nice would go back again for sure.
Buddha Bar please! You used to be my favourite restaurant, then you changed the menu! Please change it back. That 5 spice bbq chicken and egg fried rice was amazing! And the spring rolls and chilli squid. I’m heartbroken by the change and hope you change it back
One of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I have ever had. I expected great food and service but unfortunately received neither. The food we received - tiger prawn tempuras, whole boneless chicken and lamb chops were all bland and dry. The highlight of the meal was the Strawberry Dragon cocktail. The service was bad and we had to chase someone down for the bill. Definitely wasn’t worth the price paid (£197).
Very impressive in relation to the interior . Just had drinks. Expensive but thats London for you. Really enjoyed going there. Will try food next time. On the website , menu has no prices which there should be. Thats why I have put 4 stars other would have been 5.
Trash. Just trash. Lol dont go there.. you’ll waste your money and your time. Service is poor, food is bland and tasteless.. the bar & interior is very attractive though. I have heard many good things about buddha bar from 2 years ago but my recent visit really let me down.
Restaurant was pleasant, we had the seven course meal for a big party of guests. The servers were pleasant and the food came in drips and drabs and at the end of the day everyone was stuffed. A bit bouje, but if thats your thing, youll enjoy it.
I honestly think the service here is the worst thus far. Especially since the food is expensive or high end. But the level of service and hygiene is concerning. And also the reaction to my concerns were appalling. I found what looked like hair in my food. On multiple sushi I was eating. I never took a receipt with me, and I called up and informed the manager. He stated that he’s not impressed. And I should email head office. And was reluctant to even send me an email of my receipt. No apology, nothing. No offer, nothing. I am a regular customer but will never be coming here again. Ever!! The standards must be low. For the manager to not even care about to the hair on the sushi. Was so unbothered.
Had a fantastic experience at Buddha Bar recently. The sushi was so tasty! Best of all though was the accommodating hostess - Sophia! Although the restaurant was full, and we hadn’t made a reservation she got us a really good table at short notice. We didn’t even have to wait that long. She is such a star! I will be coming back. Thank you Sophia we love you!
Fun atmosphere with delicious drinks. The bartenders all really seemed to enjoy what they do and seemed to make the beverages into a piece of artwork. The place wasnt as big as I expected (the one in Paris is a lot larger from what I sawbut we had fun stopping in for a quick drink.
to be honest, as a whole it was a lovely place! Staff were so friendly and nice. Service overall 10/10. The food however wasn’t completely to my liking! In my opinion, it lacked some flavour. The sushi however was really nice! I feel like we could’ve got a bit more food for the amount paid but to each their own! Would I recommend? Maybe. The vibe was lit thoughh
I loved the ambience but my experience with dining was a big disappointment. I was expecting the food to be great because I had read so many good reviews, however it was far from great. Over priced and food was tasteless.
Great food, most of the staff were very friendly.Tips for improvement below:Firstly, I received a call from your team asking about my whereabouts even though I was dining in the restaurant and had provided my name at the front desk. Please ensure you maintain accuracy of the guests you check-in to your restaurant. In my case, it was clear you thought I wasnt in the building. Ontop of that, your employee cut the phone on me mid conversation once she found out I was already at the restaurant. I found that rather unprofessional.Secondly, once me and my party finished dining we decided to take some pictures etc. Despite no customers wanting to make their way downstairs, we were told seated pictures cannot be taken on the staircase. If this is the case, and the restaurant is particular about where pictures can/ cannot be taken, please make it clear for customers because I didnt see any signage.Additionally, I wanted to change my footwear just before leaving the restaurant. If there had been a seating area near the front desk I could have changed my footwear just as I was about to leave the restaurant. I decided to find the closest table to the exit and change my footwear which would have taken a maximum of 30 seconds, instead a member of staff told me I couldnt use the chair because it was reserved for another party. The party wasnt present at the time and I wish she had used some common sense because there was technically no other table for me to sit at since my reservation time slot had ended.Lastly, it would be helpful for customers if you label items on the menu e.g. suitable for vegans/ may contain fish etc. Is there a reason why this type of basic labeling is not present on your menu?
Amazing place 😉I went there with my family their menu is for all types of people and their drinks menu is amazing and they do all classic cocktails the taste was perfect the food everyone must try truffle lobster 🦞 its amazing 🤩 and the mango maki is very tasty 😋 and the chicken salad there no words to say about it ,beautiful restaurant and the bar is gorgeous 😍 the waiters are very friendly and the manager is very polite our waiter Dylan is Soo nice manager himself took our pictures one of the top places to visit with friends and family in London
Great food, great decor and great service for the most part. After food I asked for a coffee but then after ordering, and before the coffee arrived, I asked for it to be changed to a tea. The waiter said it was too late to change the order. Strange as it was only a coffee being ordered and it had not yet arrived. Then they added on a £14 service charge.Minor issue overall but you would expect top class service from a place charging £50 minimum per head.
we booked the private room for a birthday and I must say, nothing couldve gone more perfectly. Moira was our organiser and she was absolutely fantastic! Always stayed in contact, took every suggestions and made every personal preference possible. Additionally, she was extremely professional while being really friendly! Food and cocktails really good. Thank you again for the evening
Excellent ambience, great service, great food. The staff made birthday special by sending in a complimentary birthday pastry.
Worst place Ive ever been!!!The manager was very rude and only seemed to care about lining his pocket with money!I will tell everyone this place is overhyped and the food is absolutely awful!! The main I had was slices of chicken cooked in soya sauce made thick with cornflour absolutely tasteless and horrible served with rice and salad leaves! Is this what you call signature dishes!!! Please see my picture my daughter had steak with mash potatoes nothing special at all then overcharge you with service charges thats absolutely horrific never ever going back to this place!!!I rather go to Levant or Ivys food is much tasty and better service from the staff!!The manager needs replacing along with the chef!!!
Went for our wedding Anniversary Lunch at Buddha Bar.The staff was really courteous and even took our pictures for us.Had a fab evening over there! Loved the decor. The californian sushi rolls were great and the portion was enough for two. I loved the mango salsa on Salmon tiradito. The salsa was just so good. Also ordered Chili salt crispy baby squid and it was just amazing!! I love mojitos and they had an amazing mango and passion fruit mojito. Had a nice peaceful lunch
Absolutely divine. Cannot fault them. Lived up to my expectations. The food is amazing. TRY THE VOLCANO SUSHI 😍😍 a few cocktails to try; the ZOMBIE was sooo good. Decor was fab; very picturesque. Perfect for the next insta post. Will definitely be returning.
We had 11.30 pm table reservation, arrived early for a few quick drinks after adinner in different venue as it was my daughters birthday . We asked if we could sit by the bar. Atmosphere and vibe great as always, place was full - I looks like good old days are back.Service was great, Barmen were easy to chat with and sweet. Before we left , they got us birthday shots on the house and sang" happy birthday".Overall great service! Always happy to go back there. One of my favourites ❤
Tried Buddha bar for the first time a couple of weeks ago as all the food on the menu was halal. We tried the sushi along with Prawn Pad Thai and the Scottish Beef Fillet. Really good food, especially the sushi. The mocktails were great and the service was on point. Buddha bar has good food, good service and a great ambience. Definitely one to visit again.
Visited Budda bar on 6th August 2021.The decor and design and atmosphere is lovely for family or friends. Lively music and bustling vibes.7 of us went and the bill came to £550. The starters wer really yummy and tasty but the mains were not great esp at that price range.I ordered the aged beef and egg fry rice. The steak was cold and then was replaced but was cold and the sauce was hot. I was really disappointed. All the other dishes were hot. I like my food hot not like it was left out for 30 mins then served.Other than that the decor is lovely and beautiful the stair case is amazing and alot of people taking pics.Would recommend the bar more than the restaurant.Staff were helpful and manager was nice enough too change my steak for a similar warm/cold steak but i didnt want to ask or make a fuss again.@buddha-bar need to check what happened with the steak on this nighg.
The sushi was incredible. The beef short rib was flavourful and cooked to perfection. The overall vibe of the restaurant is nice, a bit dark inside for photos but really good service. Not too expensive for what it is, perfect for date night
We ordered their special chicken meal (chicken with weight riceand Tampora shrimp and shrimp Sushi. The food is so delicious but very expensive. In addition, two different flavor of virgin Mojito‘s which were only average.
I visited Buddha Bar last night for my boyfriend’s birthday and we both really enjoyed the night and loved the hospitality of Margarita !!! She was so lovely and patient with us and done an excellent job by surprising my boyfriend with a birthday desert ! I loved the food/drinks and the vibe was super cool. At the end we got seated at the bar and the bartender who recommended the Don Julio 1942 shots was amazing as well! I definitely recommend 10/10 and will come back again !!
Average, it was ok, they placed customers to close. You only get 1and a half hours at the table, they could have placed customers apart its not a small venue. Some groups where told to wear a mask other groups where not, they where walking passed customers with no masks taking pictures 👀. The food looked lovely but lacked in taste. I think they should visit the Asian Ivy for inspiration. Handwipes or sanitizer should be give to each table. Inbetween each meal the table should be wiped down. The venue looks lovely
Absolutely disgusting place, I have never been so shocked by a restaurant. I came here for a friends birthday and was appalled by the service, the staff was rude, slow and disrespectful to the whole table and gave preferential treatment to the table next to us despite the fact that their table was obviously breaking the rule of six (photos attachedthe food was decent but the price point was insane for the quality of the food. The atmosphere was extremely strange and looked like a cross between an old strip club and a faux chinese temple. The fusion attempt at this place is clearly failed, as a chinese person the artwork and strange gothic haunted budda interpretations confused me.
Absolutely fantastic experience, food exquisite, vibes through the roof. Great for special occasions as the price is not cheap but definitely worth it. Customer service from their staff were amazing and knowledgeable about the food.
So I had the best tasting calamari // fried squid here. It was to die for and the level of spice was to my likings. Cocktails are nice. The service ran on time, however was a bit confusing trying to work out who to pay/tip and who to get our coats from.
Came here for the Sake and Sushi Making master class. Welcomed with a glass of champagne followed by a 2 hour masterclass which finished with some of the restaurants most popular dishes being tried.Had a great time, was a good balance between enjoying some ‘well made’ sushi and also making our own.Can highly recommend!
Went on v day, we had to book a couple of days in advance. I absolutely loved it. Everything about it was great. The food (from starters to mains to sushi rolls), the atmosphere and the staff were just brilliant. I would definitely recommend it, I honestly don’t think you could go wrong with anything you’ve ordered. However, I wasn’t a fan of the cake but maybe because I’m not really a dessert person.
I had an amazing experience at Buddha Bar. Food was lovely and the cocktails were great. The staff is very attentive and friendly.Outstanding service.I definitely recommend this place.
Highly recommended. Very great service and delicious food. We started with crab salad. For sushi we tried volcano and spider. They were all very delicious and tasty. For main course the king prawn and wagyu were perfect. Very nice decor and live DJ.
Infused pan-asian cuisine. Liked the atmosphere. Not usual interiors. Food is great and service is great 👍🏽. I recommend the following dishes;- Rock Shrimps Tempura- Crispy Salad- Mango Sushi- Kobe Wagyu RibeyeLive band was playing. Place is more crowded after 9pm. Advance reservation is recommended .🍣 🍣 🍣🍸 🍹 🥤
The surrounding here are very cool. The drinks are lovely and the staff are veey professional. We attended for a sushi and sake masterclass which was amazing; lots to eat and drink, as well as make. The chefs doing the msteeckass have a real passion for sushi/sake and are a wealth if knowledge and skill. Well worth the money.
