Buddha's Eye Nepal Tibet Restaurant - Nepalese restaurant in Koeln, Germany
Loved it. Tasty food. But service and infrastructure is not excellent
Delicious chicken curry and naan! #31 is great too!!
Good food and fair prices, service a bit slow due to understaffing.
My favorite is their momo. Very delicious!
Homely environment, lovely freshly cooked delicious food.
Found this really awesome restaurant at the junction of Komodienstrasse. We were thoroughly impressed by the taste of the food. We ordered chicken noodles and chicken fried-rice both were really well prepared. The taste was authentic and reminded me of the taste from Nepal/ Darjeeling tour days. The service was prompt and the staff were courteous and helpful. Highly recommended if you are looking for authentic asian, Nepalese cuisine in Cologne. P.s. they do not accept the usual types of credit cards, so please carry cash.
Tasty, delicious, friendly, not expensive at all.I have never tried Tibet cousin before, but will definitely pay closer attention to it from now on. Planning to be back, next time I am in Köln
Beautiful restaurant with fresh food. Mostly we get already prepared gravy for curry vegetables. But they make everything fresh or at least it tastes fresh.
The puri reminded me of me and my grandma going to get plain doughnuts and it was good i reccomend
It was amazing and the owner is very nice! For French customers please note that here the rice is included in every dish!
Nepalese restaurant with amazing food. I liked the food. They serve all spicy chutney
I really liked the restaurant. The food is amazing and the taste is authentic. And besides the lady is very sweet. ❤️
Really good food.
Food was good, the atmosphere was comfortable and cozy and the staff were friendly and helpful. Definitly recommand!
Authentic Tibetan Food!Momos were super yummy!
Timing a bit dispair, brought entry dishes followed by main dishes... Cozy atmosphere, food is ok for the price.
A star for each of the 4 amazing staff members and an extra one for the delicious authentic Mo:Mo!
Perfectly located, the staff are super friendly and the food is really really good! Totally recommended!
Reasonable price for the mittagsmenu with good quality and quantity of food. Only one of the items was a bit more on the salty side and the dessert was not as nice.
Very tasty food! Amazing service! 11/10
The food is very tasty and the service is also nice. The guy was friendly and helpful. I just wish they would take cards in the future
Authentic food, great staff.
Definitely recommended. It has a cosy environment. The decorations and interior was very nice which gave a pleasant atmosphere. Quiet, slow and peaceful music around. The Manager was too good and gentle. The people in the restaurant speaks good english. The food was very delicious and freshly prepared although they took little more time than expected to prepare but it was worth waiting. We have ordered fried momos, vegetable fried rice and mango lassi. All were extremely delicious. Located 5 min walk from Dom U-bahn. Commerz and Deutsche Bank are near by.
Went in for Nepalese food but also got served Nepalese vibe . Amazing food and amazing ambience this place has to offer . Definitely coming back .
very nice ambiance with Tibetan/Nepalese/Indian decoration, homemade taste, dessert Sujiko Haluwa was awesome!
Great little restaurant near the cathedral. Good food and excellent service. The ambiance is beautiful. They dont take credit cards, be sure to have cash with you.
Lunch set menu is fulfilling and not expensive. Cumin chips are awesome but too bad we couldn’t get more
Great food and great service!! Highly recommend!
Nice restaurant, Nice manager, we had The garlic naan, The tibetan Dresil, The momos and The buhteko and everything was Nice! And a lot!
A place with great atmosphere for Momos. The Momos here, both the pork and chicken are pretty good. The filling is generous and the skins not too thick. A variety of condiments were served alongside the Momos too. Also had the Mango Lassi which was delicious. They do burn incense in here (and sometimes Buddhist chantingwhich gives the place a little more atmosphere. However, if you are sensitive to incense, do take note.
The restaurant has a warm and cosy atmosphere that is really inviting. I adored the decor, as well as the calming music. My friend and I originally wanted to order individual set menus, and instead, the friendly waitress recommended that we go for the two person Thali…I’m glad we did! We got a lot for the price including poppadoms with 4 dips, a salad, 4 main dishes with rice and a dessert included. We ordered steamed vegan Momos as well to try but the portions are large enough for two!Everything was so delicious and there is a great variety for meat eaters and vegetarians/vegans. They had larger tables and so I’d like to come back with more people.I can highly recommend Buddha’s Eye and cannot wait to come back!
Nice location, close to the station. Reasonably priced. Food is pretty good, not the best but price quality ratio makes it an excellent place.
Momos were absolutely delicious. Service excellent. Lovely curry and samosas and great ambience. The chow mein was a let down. Dry and basically spaghetti, not proper noodles.
Very good food, nice service, cozy place.
The staff is very friendly, the dishes taste great. Its better to have a little time on your hands when going here as it is freshly prepared. It also means, sometimes dishes do not arrive together but a few minutes apart. Can highly recommend!
Finally a place which offers real nepalese chicken steamed momos...dough thickness is also accurate..if you know the real taste, you will enjoy it..only missing element is original momo chutney..but they do have some good alternate chutney options..will be a regular on my list
Very cozy place, not far from the central station, really friendly owners, awesome fresh food with reasonable prices. Me and my partner found the place on our way to the central train station, we decided spontaneously to go in and we were really really surprised with atmosphere, quality of food and the friendliness of the owners. Its a hidden gem, I recommended it to anyone, and for sure it will be a certain stop on our next trip to Köln.
Excellent food. Homemade feeling. Great atmosphere. My company had khaso massala, dresli and the curry chicken with brokoli. All dishes were delicious. I also recommend the dumblings.
Tibetan food, not so spicy but great flavors. The service was quick and friendly. The menu is not overwhelming but there is still enough selection to want to go back and try some more.Maybe Ill see you there 😀
The staff at Buddhas Eye are friendly and the service is okay. The dishes, particularly the momos are flavorful, but the temperature of the food when served should have been hotter. The friend I went with said that her spicy dish was not that spicy, but it was tasty.
Very lovely restaurant with nice personnel and great ambiance. My lentil soup and pork momos taste so great. Mango lassi is also great.
The people are very friendly but the food could be better. The buffet was cold. I liked the place, clean and good service but I cant give 5 stars because the food was only acceptable.
Small and cozy. Good food, not many options but there are some vegetarian options. I loved the crunchy salad 😍
Atmosphere was great and relaxing. The food was nice and full of taste, but the price was rather high for a small dish. The other part was the entrance which felt like the door was broken and the coldness could easily come inside. I recommend it for people who want to try and eat this mild spicy food and even spending time to admire their surrounding.
Close to the Dom this place presents well. Went there mostly for the momos and really enjoyed them. The different chutneys as well as the momos were good. Food was tasty in general though and portions were generous. We tried going for dinner and the place was packed but for late lunch on a holiday the place was empty. I would recommend reserving in advance though. The waitor and waitress (not sure if they are the ownerswere very friendly and explained everything well. Service was fast. Am no nepalese food expert but I would definitely go back.
The service. The food. The price. All fantastic!
We had two fantastic meals here. Very interesting flavors, reminiscent of authentic food I ate in the past. The staff are Asian. A minus is that the hours of operation didnt match when they were actually open, so be careful. I recommend tasting the Nepali tea.
Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was fairly good too but not quite mindblowing. The two dishes we ordered (duck & lambhad the same sauce. The cucumber salad with Mango vinaigrette had next to no Mango...
Lunch time had a small buffet that didnt look super exciting so we stick with the regular menu. They have both veggie and meat versions of momos (dumplingswhich are either steamed or fried. The skins were a bit too thick for my taste, though the veggie filling was good. Ordered the paneer masala which was less tomato and creamy than expected and had more vegetables than expected as well. Also ordered the paneer naan which had no paneer but was just plain but naan, which was still good. Would say that the food was not quite as expected but still good, just not great.
Fantastic lunch buffet for only €7.50! Absolutely worth it, and the staff were very kind. Lots of vegetarian options were available, which was fantastic. There was a lentil soup, a noodle dish, a stir fry, a curry, rice, and some samosa-like snacks. I almost want to go back to Köln just for this place!
