Bucks Head in Piripiri

The pub was very cosy and close to the station so a group of friends and I popped in for a drink before our dinner reservation.As soon as we got to the bar, one of the bartenders instantly tried to get me to order various drinks that I would never have ordered for myself. I was asked to smell a vodka because this particular vodka was "amazing" and I should order it. When I said I didnt want to "risk ordering" as I didnt like vodka the bartender misheard and thought I said "whiskey" and proceeded to poor me a shot of whiskey to try.Eventually I got the original drink I wanted but Ive never been to a bar/pub where Ive been upsold something it was very bizarre and quite intimidating to be honest!Not sure I would return 😕

The pub itself was ok - comfortable and calm. Exactly what we were looking for.However the bar staff kept trying to push drinks on us telling us to try things we didn’t want to. I ordered a (single)drink that would have cost £5 max anywhere in London and was then told I should get the spritz version - I had never had it and assumed as it’s only an added shot of Prosecco it would be £2/3 more. I went to pay and it was £14.50 and she just walked off so I couldn’t question it. Similar thing happened with another person in our group but she refused and after a few mins of back and forth, he finally gave her what she wanted.Now it’s not about being cheap but if you’re going to do something to triple the price of someone’s drink you really should inform them of that… yes I should have asked but I’ve never experienced anything like that no matter where in the world I’ve been.I would recommend this place but unfortunately it would come with a warning.

The first time my girlfriend and I have visited the Bucks HeadWe were served my Pedro, he was an absolute delight, very chatty, amazing customer service, couldn’t have asked for a better bartender! Thank you Pedro!

Came into Bucks Head the other night and was served by a lovely redhead (sorry I didn’t get her name). I loved her recommendation for a strawberry gin that I hadn’t tried but paired well with Mediterranean tonic. Can’t wait to come back for more recommendations.

Came in the other night for a drink after work and got served by a lovely bartender Celia. We ordered a burger (the melteach and it was great. We were told it was cooked by Clare so a big shout out to her! Will be back for sure.

Visited here yesterday for Brunch. Was alarmed that the gent behind the till took my card from me and tapped it down behind the till out of sight, reason card machine didnt move? Major no no, requested receipt. The customer beside me was asked to walk behind the bar to do his Apple Pay on phone, however he chose to hand his phone over for the bar staff to do it. Food was atrocious, had the full veg breakfast . Toast was hardly toasted, mushrooms were almost dehydrated as so over cooked, veggie sausage really hard to chew. Very disappointed ate the egg and beans as very hungry. Nice pub and great location to sit outside but sorely disappointed with the service and food. sorry

Great bar. Outside seating watching the throngs roam the high street of Camden. Nice mix of locals and tourists. Friendly staff and fast drinks at good prices. Tash, Chris and Ludwig make this place something special. Who DAT !?!

Excellent pub within Camden, we were pleasantly surprised at the low prices for the drinks especially being in London. Nice atmosphere and wonderfully clean toilets. We didnt eat whilst here, but they had a good range of food available. Polite and helpful staff.

My friends and I love this place! We walked in after walking around Camden and the bartender Pedro took AMAZING care of us! Definitely recommend this place if you’re nearby!

DO NOT ORDER FOOD HERE. ONLY DRINKS!Its pretty obvious the food served here is an afterthought. We ordered the nachos, salad, and pizza. Nachos were the broken chips at the bottom of the chip bag, topped with salsa and cold chili that Im pretty sure came out of a can. It also had guac and sour cream, also most likely just came out of a tub from Tesco.Salad was so bad. I dont know how you mess up a salad. It was made of 6 leaves they found outside, a quarter of a tomato, some carrot shavings, green onion(who puts green onion in a salad?!and some halloumi.Just get the beer and go eat somewhere else.

Bucks Head is the best place in Camden I have ever been to! The staff is so welcoming and warm I will always come here when in Camden. Pedro is the highlight of the night

We went earlier in the week and had some great cocktails made by a bartender Tara. She recommended we come back for the local free music night and it was great. She was friendly and remembered us! Overall, really cool atmosphere!

Came to Camden and grabbed some food here, the food and vibe was great, as well as the bartender Pedro. There’s a mint little rooftop terrace which is great for a drink.

Buckshead was an amazing bar. The service and drinks were by far the best of the night. Pedro was a pleasure to be served by!

The Bucks Head pub is in a really cool location in Camden, it’s just opposite buck street market. You really feel that you are in Camden when you are sitting outside just watching the world go by. The inside is really cool and well decorated. It’s literally a five minute walk from Camden Town station. If you like eco markets then just cross the road and there it is.The staff are great especially the manager he is polite and knowledgeable. They have a great range of drinks so you can drink to your heart’s content. The atmosphere is traditional and not annoyingly modern so it retains the feel of being in a real pub. I think you would really enjoy this place if you want to just have a relaxing drink any day of the week.

My experience is okay. The cocktails and the person that made them were great. The guy with long hair is very polite and quick. The nachos that I ordered had a nice taste, but the ingredients were so spread out. I paid £14 for the nachos. I would expect way more ingredients if it’s gonna be spread out. The inside looks cool. The location is great since it’s on the Main Street from the Camden Street Tube Station. They do have 2-4-1 cocktails M-F 🙂

Live music on a Sunday night, killer cocktails and banter staff, finding it hard to leave. Shout out the Clare, justas, Eran and Jose in the kitchen cooking up some banging calamari. 10 outa 10 🎉

I recently attended Camden street party on Buck street , staff were so accommodating about using their loo and really kindly gave me soda water for nothing even when I said I wasnt using the pub . Cool stuff like that just makes a chill day even better. Thank you busk staff 🤗

OMG chef DAROTA the best burger ever...Cooked to perfection, full of flavour with amazing bulleit bourbon bacon & onion Jam, honestly gotta try+ with a selection of topped fries to choose from & paired with a crafty IPA5 star experience u just dont wanna miss!!!

Came here with a couple of friends. And the bar was pure class. Engaging, funny, absolutely brilliant service. I believe his name was Jose.Will definitely be coming back.

Lovely selection of draught beers, friendly and pleasant service especially Pedro who quickly and efficiently answered our queries regarding the menu. Great location in Camden Town definitely a must visit.

A quaint pub set on the high street of Camden Town has a wide range of beverages and plenty of variety of foods including a good selection of vegetarian meals. They have a roof top terrace to soak up the sun while chilling out

I attended the premises at lunch time today. I was amazed but the beautiful cuisine. I treated myself to a Angry Hash burger!! Absolutely Fantastic. Would highly recommend. I will be going back soon

Nice place with plenty of seating out the front and they have a roof terrace but we didnt go up. Plenty of drinks choices and good food menu that was reasonably priced, the food was a good size with chips on the side but we both had a chicken club and said it coukd do with a bit more chicken and then would be perfect. Staff very friendly. I would like the toilets to be a bit cleaner with proper locks on the cubicles.

The ambient is so cool, the drinks are great and the food is okay. I would definitely go again, mainly because the decoration stands out and they even have games and a Roof Top!

A totally ok place, nice to sit by the window and watch the outside buzz. Went for a bite and a drink. The prices were a bit above average, but the food was decent. Service could have been a bit better. One of the rare places that offers still water for free, so thats a big plus.

What a lovely place! I was a bit scared when I came in, it looked like all the keg beers were off with upturned glasses on the taps. No need to worry, one of the post chillers was out but all beers were on a few feet away!! A delightful reception from the staff and beer quickly in order both, politely and merrily given. Currently sitting in a very comfy wing chair besides an outrageous mirror. Lots of comings and goings as you may expect in busy Camden. I have enjoyed my visit, I am sure you will too!

A brilliant place for people watching especially if you can bag one of the few tables outside. We sat out a monsoon and had a couple of beers here. We caught the tail end of a keg and the beer wasnt at its best, but it was changed quickly for a different brew without any discussion, but lots of apologies. The pub itself offers a genuinely impressive range of drinks including lots of gins. The prices reflect the area, the beer and people were lovely and the loos were OK. Will return when next in the area, rain or not!
