Buckaroo Motel in Tucumcari

I rented here long term, twice. Both times for 11 months each year. Great place to stay. Secure and quiet. Great owners.

Nice and clean

I like it here Shawna and Dave are vary nice owner and they are polite we lived here off and on for6 yrs I would stay anywhere else there clean.

The owners are SUPER nice and friendly, the rooms are clean and its really quiet. We would recommend the Buckaroo to anyone traveling through!!! The prices are also great. God bless the owners!!

Booked a room back in 2012 while traveling from Arizona to Texas. Very well kept and clean, the rate was very reasonable.

Nice little place for long term stays at a reasonable price.

Its never been the same since Ruby sold it. Seems to stay busy though. For long term rentals, it might be a good choice.Love.

Stayed there twice in 2005. Loved the place and the owners. Best sleep I ever had. Almost never wanted to leave. The very best in Tucumcari

Owner is racist. Rooms are good but if youre a mixed couple dont go there

The worse time ever I went to sleep with my babies woke up at 4 am with bed bugs all over us and bites everywhere and then they still made me pay after I showed her pictures of the animals and the bit marks yuck yuck nerve angin. ....

I was ordered by a New Mexico State Trooper to stop here in February 1968 to, of all things, go to traffic court which was either in or behind the motel. Judge Ernest T. Shipley presiding. I had received a ticket from the New Mexico State Police for improper passing on route 66 way over near Oklahoma/New Mexico. Paid a $15.00 fine plus $12.00 for court costs. The motel looked nice way back then but I was anxious to leave this fine state and never stayed there. Nice to see that some of these old relics are still up and running. The motel was on route 66 at the time.

Stayed here in August 1955 and still remember the nice visit! Just happened to find the old photo from way back then. Note my brothers brand new 1955 Chevy in the background.

Stayed here for a few weeks in January 2014, cool place.
