A chicory smoker is used to prepare the meat on the barbecue of this relaxed family BBQ restaurant.
Consistently good food, best salad bar in town! Friendly, attentive staff.
We had lunch here. The salad bar was clean and well stocked with very good options (including pudding!). The ribs were excellent and did not need sauce to enhance there flavor. Even the toast was good. Plus our waitress was very friendly and accommodating.
Salad bar was very filling and it had a variety to offer and the sloppy Bubba was very delicious and the service was awesome we had a new server she was fun and attentive we will definitely stop back in if we pass through
Friendly service, good food. These people work very hard to make sure your experience is great. They close two days a week to give their employees time off since there is a lack of people that are willing and want to work. They clearly value quality of life over money.
I went here thinking it might be a good bbq restaurant, and it had a 4.3 star rating when I was there. The food was absolutely terrible. I am from Texas and expect my Brisket to taste good and smell like it is suppose to. It was complete trash Brisket. Mac and cheese was sub-par, the beans had ketchup in them. Which is God awful to do to baked beans. If it were up to me I would leave a negative 100 star rating, and would shut this place down. They have no business calling themselves a bbq restaurant. Oh and by the way we had the ribs as well, and they too were complete trash. Bbq sauce was a complete waste of time, as it did nothing to improve my experience. Please dont waste your time or money here. Maybe if they took some money and sent their so-called pit masters to Texas they could turn this around, but I doubt that will happen. So I see no help for improvement.
The food was delicious and the servings generous. The service was excellent. The only thing less than exciting is the barbecue sauce. But still, highly recommended.
Stopped in for lunch. Had the lunch bbq chicken and was very disappointed. The thigh and drumstick was very dry and a very small portion. For the price it’s not worth it. Requested bbq sauce on the side. You guessed it. Thick and heavy all over the meet. No refills. Staff was nice.Might move on to another place.
Very good wait staff. Great beans and potato salad. Pulled pork was disappointing. Tender, but little smokiness and very dry.
Great food and service was on point. The summer help had already gone on to different things but the staff that remained went out of their way to make sure we had a enjoyable time.
Although they had run out of pork, my husband had the brisket and I had the BBQ chicken. Was very good. The staff was friendly and we shared a couple of laughs.
My husband and I ended up coming here to eat dinner and was completely blown away by how amazing the ribs were. We are planning on revisiting and bringing our son next time we come to Yellowstone.
I will never step foot in this restaurant again. I ordered the fish and it was disgusting. It was absolutely the worst meal I’ve ever had. It was comparable to prison food. I got sick before I even left restaurant.
The best barbecue and baked beans I’ve ever had. In my entire life. I laughed about it at the dinner table. I tell friends about wanting to leave New York and move to Cody for the cuisine, but this restaurant is all I have in mind.
Wish I could give 10 stars. Both my wife and my meal was wonderful. Great customer service. Oh the strawberry shortcake is very good.
Great food great service. You get alot of food on the dinner portions. I was very happy and haveno complaints. Staff was very friendly even though they were busy we got seated quickly and the food come out fast as well.
Stopped here for breakfast on the way to Yellowstone. The breakfast was great. Heads up French Toast lovers. A full order is 8 triangles. So prepare your stomach accordingly. The service was great as well.
Nice atmosphere.Food was pretty good.Service wasnt great... not enough servers to handle the volume of customers. Our server was generally absent so drink refills were hard to get.The beef brisket was the best meat selection. Definitely recommend it.Pulled pork was fairly flavorless.Ribs were tasty although very tough and dry.Was given old and cold french fries and veggies were very overcooked.Received a veteran discount which was nice.
Awesome brisket! Super big portions! Loved the sauce! Delicious sides! Dessert buttermilk chocolate pie pretty dense and rich!
My husband and I were in Cody for the weekend and had the opportunity to try several restaurants, including the Irma, Roadhouse and Proud Cut. Strange as it sounds, the best meal and service by far was at Bubbas Bar-B-Que. The Bar-B-Que chicken I had was as good as expected. The real surprise was his Rib steak. After being disappointed in others he had tried during our trip, it was a treat. It was cooked just as he requested and the flavor was delicious. In addition, our server was friendly, and although she was very busy, she never made us feel rushed - unlike the experiences we had at some of the more expensive places we visited.l was glad we saved room for dessert - the cheesecake was homemade and the best I have ever eaten. We can hardly wait to visit Cody - and Bubbas again.
Just in Cody for the night and this place was close to the hotel. Amazing food and friendly staff. 100/100 would recommend!! 4 in our party and everyones food was amazing. Their garlic toast is something else, wow. If we lived closer would definitely visit more often.
Thursday night waited for 40 minutes for table, after getting to table waited for another 10 before waitress came. She was very nice. The food was not worth the wait. Had pulled pork really red almost like it was to busy and they didnt cook enough so pulled it early. Waited about 15 min to get food. The carrots were hard, like they cut and put in hot water then served. Would not recommend this place.
This local couple has not found a better breakfast in town than the breakfasts we get at Bubbas. Delicious and ample portions, friendly service, reasonable prices, and nice atmosphere. But more importantly, our food always arrives at the table HOT. This place is well managed and very clean.
Delicious food! Great service! Nice atmosphere! The pork brisket is so tender it falls apart with your fork and the prime rib garlic sandwich makes your mouth water it is so good!!
Food was amazing. I had 1/4 dark meat chicken my hubby had baby back ribs. Misty was a great server!
I dont claim to know great BBQ but this is substandard to me. I have never had baby back ribs that were difficult to cut with a steak knife until now that is. I gave 3 stars for the sides that were served, the garlic bread and beans were the highlights of my meal. I also found it strange that I could not find corn bread on the menu, maybe I missed it but...
Good, not great. Veteran-owned business, so worth our support. The salad bar was better than the barbecue. Also, it is bread pudding, not chicken.
Service was good. They only had one BBQ sauce and we were not fans. (My best guess is lots of apple cider vinegarI ate my pulled pork naked. Unfortunately, we will not return. Were in town for the summer and hoping to find a really good BBQ spot. The search will continue.
Great food and Great service. Place was packed when we got here on a friday night and didnt have to wait at all. Highly recommend the ribs!!!
I placed an order over the phone when picking it up....All food, cold looked like old food.French fries, sweet potato fries and onion rings were not crispy at all.BBQ nothing like it.Im sorry but I dont recommend.
Food was awful. We got the turkey and it was tough as leather and tasted awful. The sides were just as bad. Its probably the worst BBQ Ive ever had. Dont waste your money. The other BBQ place in town is way better.
Waitress was fantastic,Food Sucked.I have eaten ribs there before that were good but this time my friend and I ordered Brisket lunch ,,very, very dry with no taste.I was going to order my friend across from where I live a brisket lunch to go and a extra portion of brisket for later at home, but after I had a bite of brisket ,spit it into a napkin and ate my side potatoes,,
Staff was friendly and great service, food was marginal. Prime rib was super overdone and ribs were dry. Sauce had an overwhelming mustard flavor. We had breakfast here before and the breakfast good.
I understand there’s different types of BBQ. This BBQ had no seasoning and is very reliant on using sauce as flavor. To bad the sauce wasn’t even quality. Meats were over cooked and dry, sides were “eh”.
Just had the most amazing experience here. The food was out of this world. I never wanted it to end. Truly the best spot we could have picked. And the service was so welcoming and the atmosphere was perfection. Thank you fir an amazing visit!
Food was excellent (wife and I had grilled salmonas well as the service and desserts! Misty did an excellent job of taking care of six of us, and it was my wifes Birthday!
We did not know what to expect coming to a BBQ place in Cody. We both have eaten at great BBQ restaurants in Nashville/ St Louis so we have high expectations. The food did not disappoint ! I got the BBQ chicken and my wife got the pulled pork. Both were generous portions and cooked to perfection. We also like that they have lunch and dinner prices. The service was top notch and it’s a good atmosphere. Will be back!
Half a rack of baby back ribs, smoked turkey and open faced prime rib sandwich with mashed tators and gravy was wonderful on two different occasions!!! Great service!!!
Complete waste of $90. Very dry, ribs had a lot of meat that was so dry and hard that it was pretty much inedible and the top just crumbled when you cut ribs apart. Not the normal ribs cooked right that the meat falls off the bone either. Husband didnt even eat most of his meat because it wasnt sitting well with his stomach. Then one of my kids ended up with a stomach ache before we left. Mens bathroom was filthy. There was water and paper towels all over the floor. Very disappointing dinner! And far from worth $90!
This is a good BBQ / sit-down western restaurant, the best one in Cody. Prices are on the higher end, but not so much it will make you cry. Dinner hours do add a little bit, so go earlier. It is really good food, average portions, good environment, and good service. This is the locals choice; you wont be disappointed coming here.
Good food, salad bar to die for, especially because we havent been able to enjoy one in a long time. The customer service AWESOME. Wyoming is DEFINITELY a great place!
I ate a brisket plate with a side of ribs after hiking granite peak, the highest point in Montana. The side of ribs was delicious and the brisket was terrible. I’m a Texan. The brisket just doesn’t cut it.
Good not great. Friendly service. Food came out quick. We got the combo which includes ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and chicken with 3 sides. We thought their chicken and Texas toast was the best tasting things we got. The brisket portions were substantial.
Went to Bubbas twice in one day 😃Both meals were really good but if I were to come back Id pick breakfast to come for. Chicken fried steak with grits for me and Haystack for him. Supper we split the large combo and added a 1/2 pound of burnt ends that were on special. Both meals more food than we could eat. The Bbq meats were made really well, just missing the smokey flavor you usually get with bbq.
Thought the ribs were very good..the sauce on the ribs was good too. The sauce on the table was more of a mustard flavored sauce..good but not great. Nthe brisket was good but could of done with a few more hours on the pit. Beans were excellent. Coleslaw is a pass. The salad bar is a 9 out of 10. The people working here are very nice too. Worth a stop.
Serving chicken, beef brisket and pork BBQ. Lunch serving size was just right. Supper size will give you an overload. Delicious.
Good Service. Good Food. Our meals came out efficiently. Server was friendly. Salad bar was open. Self serve. Would recommend.
Great BBQ , Great Service. This is right off the Yellowstone Ave in Cody, Wy. There is plenty of parking outside the restaurant. The restaurant is very cute. We were seated immediately. The restaurant is doing a good job following COVID guidance by having all the servers wear masks and separating groups with a table in between each one. The server was very pleasant and helpful and our food arrived within minutes. Their iced tea is excellent. Their baked beans and sandwiches (brisket and sloppy sandwichwere very good. The prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was pleasant. I would definitely recommend this for fellow travelers.
Yes, Virginia, there is legit bbq outside KC. Brisket sandwich on GARLIC TOAST, sausage sandwich with bbq beans, and corn nuggets! Need to check back in to the hotel for a nap now.
We ordered take out because of the virus. It was disappointing to see the vast majority of customers without masks as they came and went. Three stars for the food. My brisket was way too dry and my husbands pulled pork had a couple of big hunks of fat. The beans were good and the buttered Texas toast hit the spot.
Service was too notch. Our server, Andrew, was attentive and helpful. Food was hot & served very quickly! Dessert was amazing, highly recommend the chocolate buttermilk pie!!
