Traditional pork knuckle & beef roulade in cozy, wood-lined rooms or a vaulted cellar.
Homemade German food, great quality, excellent traditional service with a welcoming attitude. The host also speaks English. Warning, the dishes are huge! Highly recommended: beer soup, strudel, and the fruit compote. Located near Marktkirche, the iconic church with inverted pentagram.
Super place if you are looking for trafitional German food in a cosy old setting. Old German townhouse with a low ceiling. Food was very good and prices fair, compared to other similar establishment. Service was fine. Can really recommend.
Cozy place and nice food. Good service and quick ordering and food ready quickly 👌
Great beer & food.
A definite must visit. Great beer and food. Really nice atmosphere.
Really nice atmosphere, traditional German and very tasty food and good beer. Only one thing that could be better is communication, waitress didnt speak English.
Very good German restaurant on Kramerstraße, just near Am Markte square. Located in the nice old historical building. Very tasty German traditional meal, especially Grillteller nach Broyhan Art - mix of different meat with amazing potato.
Delicious food ... German pork schnitzel served almost like Jagerschnitzel ...We ate in the "cellar" which was typical German setting.Highly recommend this place
Great food, nice staffLovely evening
Great food and great people.100% recommended
Best bear in hannover. Try their special bear. All of my colleagues agreed that this bear was the best during our hannover fair visiting.
Nice restaurant located at the old city. You can enjoy your meal or drink inside where there are two floors or outside. Polite service, crowded after 7:30. Variety of plates somehow expensive.
Very good food, service was fast and without any complaints.
The staff were very friendly but I found that the food was very under seasoned . It was like the chef was afraid to do so.
The food was very good and the service extremely helpful and efficient.I would recommend
This dinner was amazing. Very good !!When you go to Hannover this is the place to be for best dinner. We were served very friendly and welcoming.Deserves even more than 5 stars!
Charming, traditional German esthetic experience. The food was excellent. The service was attentive and spoke beautiful English to help guide two American travelers from Southeast LA. Recommend eating upstairs in a cozy corner and relaxing with a dark beer or white wine. Superb fresh salad. Creamy mushroom sauce topped on Schnitzel has been best we’ve tried so far. Deliciously delightful and filling!
Really nice beer , nice place in the middle of Altstadt, nice waitress
Beautiful old German pub, of a type I have never seen before. Reminded me ,in a sort of way, of the old English pubs. Warm, coze, with a lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious draft beer. A real must visit place in old Hannover.
Lovely atmosphere, great food & wine. Attentive staff/service & well priced all round. Highly recommend so definitely book a table here if you can one 😊!!
Very good food and service. Do bear in mind its not particularly child friendly but well worth a visit for warm comforting food and a nice atmosphere.
Nice quiet place, at least when we visited. Ordered pork fillet medallions, taste and sauce was good but meat was over cooked and dry.
Very good service, coffee and dishes
Nice little German restaurant. Good food nice beer. Service a bit tardy but ok.
Wonderful place! Historic and lovely, has menu for everybody, well cooked and tasty, good beers and reasonable price. Highly recommended!
Realy good food and servise our friends had their weeding lunch in this Restorant
Food was awesome! Staff / server was not. Felt like he couldnt be bothered serving us and we were a bother for him. If that server was not on Id go back.
Very good German cuisine food in affordable prices and big portions.
Excellent food and amazing service. Very reasonable prices too. Waitress went above and beyond helping my family and children enjoy their visit too
The best pork knuckle I had! The meat was juicy not dry, the cracklings were so crispy too. The buttery slice potatoes were yummy!Had apple strudel with ice cream for dessert and it was so nicely done!
Mediocre food. Rinderroulade was very dry and tasteless. Old school waiter was a bit obnoxious because we sinned by asking for a different table. They have a decent dark beer though.
Very nice and pleasunt place with tasty food and excellent service.
Very nice place right in the center of Hannover. Although the place was full when we got there and during our whole time spent there they were able to fit us in and all of their guests willing to wait at the bar for a few minutes. The service is good and they are moving fast which we appreciated even more as we were very hungry. The food is also very nice and we enjoyed our meals a lot. I would definetly recommend the place and go back there again.
Dishes were really good. The place is cozy and special with long history. Very German style
Great food and atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place.
Very nice place in german style, with a delicious food. Definitely worth to visit and take a bite.
We had a really nice meal in this restaurant, the food was excellent. The service was very friendly and efficient. The beer was also very good.
Excellent food and wonderful service. Great portion size and very tasty authentic german food.
We experienced this restaurant as customer friendly with typical and great german food. We had our bachelor party dinner here, thus we were with a group of 10 men. Unfortunately this was not desired by some of the other customers, however the staff absolutely handled that brilliantly. We will come again !
I came here late on a Monday night on a business trip. My colleague and I had planned to have Rinderrouladen at a different restaurant but as it was already quite late (nearly 10pm), their kitchen was already closed. The staff recommended Broyhan Haus as an alternative and luckily we were still in time to order our Rinderrouladen. ☺️The service was friendly and quick. When the food arrived, we devoured it quickly; both because we were very hungry, but also because it tasted great.I would come back here on my next trip.
We just had a beer there. Nice place, good atmosphere and good service. Nice seating outside, we enjoyed the time there. I would recommend it.
Not bad. Its not a reference place, but you can enjoy typical german food in a typical ambient.
Excellent food, reasonable service from what Ive encountered in Germany so far, and a nice comfortable and quiet atmosphere. Plus there is a parking structure really close by if you happen to be driving in.
Pretty good food and service. Nice, cozy place with good interior.
The place it is historical with its hundreds of years. Many people just passed to take a picture of this great building. In terms of service, at first it was crowded and the waiters didnt have a special attention on telling us to wait or so. Also, some waiters said that they were not serving food if you seat outside, but after a while they ask us to seat outside. Finally a waitress came, and she was so nice and careful with us. We ordered some asparagus as appetizers, they were OK. And for main dish I had pork schnitzel with Champignon sauce. It was good and with lots of French fries aside.
A great place for us tourists to experience proper German cuisine right in the middle of the old city. The prices seemed very reasonable and the service was really quick even though it was busy.
The place is cozy, with an older audience. The music is a nice background. Its a great place to come when it snows outside, and get a table at the window. The food, as far as I tasted, is really well balanced, and the dished will surprise you! The chef has a way of making German meals feel so special and interesting! You have to eat here. I can safely recommend the duck with nutmeg cabbage. But others are amazing as well. Family feel, quiet evenings
A cozy place for some traditional hearty German cuisine with a good selection of expertly served beer to match. The menu is a bit light on vegetarian and vegan options but they are clearly marked and most importantly delicious! For expats showing visitors around its ideally located in the historic part of town.
Extremely welcoming and of the food we sampled (tea dried sausage and baked Camembertwe couldnt be more complimentarily - very tasty, quality and excellent value. Ill be back!
Ive been coming to Hannover for around 15 years, a couple of times a year. I always make an effort to visit the BroyanHaus for some good hearty traditional German food. Always friendly and Ive never been disappointed with the food or beer. A must if youre ever in the area.
