Brownhill Creek Recreation Park - State park in Adelaide, Australia
Great place to go for a walk or bike ride
Beautiful 5km loop through the park along the creek. Great to get out in nature and explore.
Great place to go for a stroll. You can bring some food for a picnic or just walk around and head home. Lots of different walking trails and the Heysen Trail goes through the recreation park. Good place overall
Took our Labrador for a walk and swim with her brothers absolutely loved it definitely worth the day out.
Not as good as Belair. Walking tracks are predominantly along the main road. Some pretty magnificent trees though.
Awesome views and steep hills. A good workout. I highly recommend also walking around neighbouring Waite.
Has improved however much more work needs to be done protecting people from trial bike riders, the current situation is unsafe.
Small park neat and tidy friendly staff good prices ☺️👍
What a peaceful place so close to CBD.
Good nature walk👍
Great walking and riding trails excellent for taking your dog for a walk
Being one with nature, birds chirping and the sound of a flowing stream made my walk very tranquil.
Decent park, lots of trails. The actual mountains are not that scenic though, with very few greenery.
If you live in the area, I implore you to visit. Photographers and Exercisers alike will love this place. The tails are not challenging so it can make part of your normal local walk and the sites are beautiful. KEEP IN MIND when walking the trail Google maps shows roads that intersect with the walking trails. It seams these roads are actually l form part of the park’s infrastructure and as such don’t take you to the surrounding residential suburbs. The trails are narrow so watch out for bike riders who can pass you with out warning and quite fast. No COVID-19 restrictions IE no social distancing or face masks enforced.
Fabulous spot for camping and the snack van is awesome - coffee , tastiest n pizza
Brown Hill Creek is an amazing riding destination for mountain biking with quite a few selection of trails with a wide range of trails for different riders all in all the belair triangle for mountain bikers is an all out fun house
A beautiful walking path. Nice experience on 10 minutes away from the city
This park is a great place for hiking and jogging. The road is relatively flat. Its quiet in the woods. Brownhill Creek flows by the roadside in the rainy season. Adelaide Brownhill Creek Tourist Park is right here.
We went there last weekend. Autumn in the hills is just stunning. The walking trail was easy to troll, very suitable for dog walking, or cat walking for us. 😋 It was the longest walk that our cat every did with us. He walked with his tail held high at all times for 40 mins! It was a record for him. 🥰
The Wirraparinga Trail Loop at Brownhill Creek Recreation Park is one of the most beautiful and scenic walks Ive done around Adelaide. The recently completed footbridge and new signage have cemented this as one of the best walks around.
The place so nice and beautiful I cant wait to go there again.
Great spot for walks along the creek koala, possums and feral deer at night. Watchout for the snakes, great caravan park close to city
Going during the week was a lot quieter. A beautiful long walk. Really liked the "Fairy Avenue"
Wonderful stay great staff. Clean delux cabin highly recommend this caravan park. Joe mularczyk
A perfect day, creek running with lovely walks. Bring your dog along
Beautiful area for walking. We saw kangaroos, koalas, different birds and the creek was flowing rapidly.
Beautiful Spot for a Wonder through on a Sunny afternoon..🌞👍
Really nice walk to do with kids or without. Lots to see and do. Beautiful surrounds, running water, lots of greenery, picnic tables, fairy garden, koalas, farm animals, areas for kids to climb and get dirty.
Challenging hike... But the views are worth it!! It was extremely slippery.. would be nice if there we some sort of steps put in place..
Such a beautiful place to walk around. Couldnt see any maps of tracks but if you have time its nice to walk and discover. Not too busy and parking was easy to find
Love koala spotting here! Perfect location for a run with the dog or a walk with the kids. One of my favourite places in Adelaide
Lovely spot, down in amongst the trees and hills although then no phone reception at allGood camp kitchen but a bit of a hike if your up the back campingKoalas I trees
Awful. There were mice in our cabin. We were in No.05. Very outdated and would not recommend. Way Over priced and way below average.Very disappointed........
Brownhill Creek was beautiful. The Caravan Park was in a lovely setting but I didnt feel real save there. The toilets etc could do with some upgrading. The Management were lovely and helpful
The caravan park looks nice, but as a place to just go for a walk there isnt much to it. Poorly signed trails.
Brownhill Creek is a quiet caravan park with facilities like multiple Bathrooms, a Pool, a Laundry and a TV Room. Most of the people staying in it are very kind. The only bad thing about it is that some of the sites arent completely flat. I also reccomend adding a few mobile data towers, seeing that I cant call anyone until I get into town.
Beautiful scenery and great bush walks
Wonderful walk along the creekline. Great walk for dogs with easy to moderate tracks. Trail goes up the Bel air for the hike hungry. Some nice history along the way.
Great spot for either camping or with a caravan/campervan. Close to town so you can do the 20 minute walk or drive in a couple of minutes. Even though its so close to the city you feel like your tucked away with all the trees and quiet sounds of nature. Plenty of cooking facilities, showers and toilets. If you need to catch up on some washing they have you covered with washing machines and clothesline just make sure you have some pegs, or ask someone who has been set up for awhile as everyone there is super friendly and notices a few people where staying here for a few months. Even someone walking an alpaca!
Its gorgeous and close. Take a nature bath here its well worth it. Ive never regretted the time Ive spent here. Bring a trash bag please if you can. I do #trashtag
This campground is really close in to Adelaide itself and main arterial roads. Cabins are old & dated, and the place needs some renovations done, but a surprisingly quiet spot.
Perfect place for a day out with your fur babies ❤️
Great walking trails and very picturesque. Unfortunately theres a massive lack of rubbish bins. There were four parking areas but no bins in sight!
Hidden gem not far from Adelaide.
A quiet park on good setting with good clean facilities. The only negative is the sites could be a bit better either lawned or a concrete pad. Worth going back, very accessible to the City or Marion
Awesome view, interesting surrounding walking trails. Definitely worth a look.
Great facility, lots to entertain the bigger kids. Not a lot for toddlers to do though. Would be great if it was completely fenced in.
This place has an amazing walking trail along the creek and foot steps of the hills. All year round it changes landscape which makes for exciting trips up there quarterly. The creek is full of life. Bright blue yabbies frogs water insects birds and a vast variety of plant life thriving on the creeks edge. Highly recommend for families and couples looking for some free weekend fun
Great place to walk dogs. On lead, there are koalas about! Plenty of birdlife. Dont expect facilities past the camping part at the entrance.
Brownhill Creek Recreation Reserve is an excelllent spot for a picnic or hike. Close to the city but feels like the country. Dog friendly also!
