Gotta say, its different. For the price however it is absolutely value for money. Been to places on the outback 3 times the price offering a lot less. Would book again.

I usually try to avoid one-star reviews, so... on the plus side, the room was clean, the shower worked, and the place is very cheap.The setup as such is quite intersting - motel-style rooms with a huge guest kitchen, a tiny, dark lounge and a pool area (closed when I stayed). Rooms, however, are tiny (mine had no window), and if you end up in one near said guest kitchen, it can become very smelly. The AC changed between freezer and oven modes; impossible to use. There seems to be no WiFi (and theres no staff that you can talk to about these things). The place is cramped and very noisy; people next door were arriving late (very noisilyand checking out early (also very noisily), so sleep was a challenge. Room keys come in envelopes placed at reception; reception itself is always closed, during a two night stay, I saw no staff whatsoever. Not exactly nice, and not exactly a great vibe in terms of service and security.All in all, terrible stay.

Very comfy bed. Excellent communication re late arrival. Pleasant reception staff. Cleaners grumpy.

The place is nice, it has a well equipped kitchen for the guests, the bathrooms are clean and the pool and garden are beautiful. They dont offer luggage storage or wi-fi. Once you check out (10 AMyoure not allowed to use the common areas anymore. once your check out, youre out, they said. Buses out of Broken Hill leave 3.45 AM btw.

Convenient location in centre of town. Quite dated and run down but kept clean, bathrooms were good. Friendly staff, contactless after hours check in. Beds were comfy, heater worked well.

Good overall, but ask for a room with easy and close proximity to your car, if you have a bit of luggage, because it was a long way into the building to bring heavy bags, and away from the pool if you want quiet.The bed sank a bit at the head end. Room 22 was only 87$ a night, to keep it in perspective.

Photos dont match what you get. Good budget accommodation. On street parking with a backbackers feel. Communal kitchen and bathroom. No soap etc provided. 2 showers in the ladies with one broken. Nothing special.

Room full of cooking smell, garlic bread, whatever food people were cooking,we could smell it. Window is sealed, air con is right next to bed, literally no space between air con and bed, so we had to turn on air con on and off, cos it was humid, hot and full of cooking smell but after few mins it got too cold. Its really a torture....

Good service. Great pool for a dip!Large community room for a beer or ten! Not good for the fussy precious type but for a place to get your head down its great! Enjoy life!👍🏼

I was placed in room 25 at this establishment.. I had to endure a very loud dripping sound for roughly 80% of my stay due to my airconditioning system leaking directly on the floor in my room.The management team were extremely unapproachable, after I made 2 attempts to contact them at the reception by pushing the after hours buzzer, which obviously doesnt work!Myself and others stayed here because we were roadtripping from brisbane and were very tired from driving for 11 hours.There kitchen facility was good tho.Will NEVER return 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Clean rooms quite use of kitchen close to shops bottle shop and butcher across the road

Budget accommodation in Broken Hill. Rooms and facilities are basic but the large kitchen/dining area and TV room are a bonus. The outdoor pool area is nice and relaxing to have a rest or read a book

It is what it is. Backpacker vibe, clean communal kitchen, clean hot showers, and clean and comfortable bed. Easy checkin. If you want good value you cant go past it. If youre fussy about bells and whistles stay away. Big thumbs up from me.

Its pretty okay, hot showers, little heaters in the rooms which is super helpful, well priced, friendly manager. If youre used to fancy places you probably wont like it, but for me it was just fine :)

The photos on booking dot com didnt match what we got ,first it was very old and ran down ,no one to meet us key left at reception , one bed had broken wooden slats ,so the bed dropped in the middle ,the air con worked but blow between the beds , the main areas were clean , but a lot of wood worm thru the building in the wooden door frames and skirting boards ,very dodgy ,left after one night ,

Stayed there from June to September 1981 while on working holiday. Lots of fun. Remember vividly watching Botham win the Ashes on TV. Short walk into town. And now they have a pool too? Fantastic!

Cheap and open late.Its good for a few nights stay.Close to everythings

I arrived on the bus at 11.30 pmAnd wanted to shower to freshen upGuess what no soap supplied.The next day I had to buy my own soap. First shower in 36 hours.

This place was dirty and the bed was uncomfortable. Will not stay again ☹️

A budget room. Clean and friendly. Shared amenities and talkative timber floors might not be to everyones taste but spent a few nights there and found it ok.

Basic good value accommodation. Central location

Carpets are in need of an update. Rest of the lodge was a great experience. Staff were fun and chatty, pool area was great. Kitchen and den were great places to chat people up. You wont feel lonely staying here.

Basic rooms and common shower areas. Perfect for the traveller. Stowed the motorcycle around the back. Has a laundry and kitchen and great staff.

backpacker hostel, not far from cbd, very quiet, the room I stayed was single room clean and with heater Im happy with that but it would be great if has window.

Stayed two nights in our caravan. The lots were huge staff were very friendly and helpful. They had happy hour with a roast beef on the spit. For $7 we had a huge roast beef with gravy breadroll and a salad on the side. We met a lot of friendly campers.

To begin with, the staff were horrible. We wished to view the room on our arrival and received the response “we’ll still charge your credit card” in a rude tone. Personally, I think the place is mis advertised. It is a hostel. I don’t stay at hostels so this may be of standard but I was appalled with the cleanliness and the service. The beds were stained and... just no.

Perfect budget accommodation

Budget accommodation with a lot of value.The shared amenities are nice, big kitchen, TV room, outdoor area with swimming pool and the private rooms although basic afford more security and privacy that a hostel dorm, for the price its totally worth it.

A fabulous place that is welcoming, clean and very inexpensive! Karen keeps the lodge clean and tidy and always has a smile ready😊 A super laid back and cozy place to hang your hat!

I have stayed here many times, rooms are always clean, good aircon and heating, quiet location.
