Relaxed museum offering local history exhibits & displays, plus educational programs for kids.
Interesting museum. Brockville is a nice place with a unique history. Appreciated visiting this place.
Great place to visit.... huge source of information about Brockville- fee of entry is by donation. Very organized and clean facility- if you read everything it should take about an hour and a half to get through the two levels of the museum....highly recommend especially if it is your first time in Brockville as it was for us
The museum was nice as were the people in it. What wasnt nice was finding a $50 parking ticket for parking beside the museum. Turns out that the northern half of the lot is arbitrarily called "boat launch" even though its further from the water and just looks like regular parking ie the 2 hr. free southern half. Nice scam to get money from the visitors. Hope it was enough, as I wont ever be returning to Brockville. (While I was walking to the city hall with my ticket a resident noticed it and sympathized "they are just brutal here.")
Great museum that highlights the early transportation and commercial roots of Brockville, some artists of Brockville, war with the Americans, the tunnel, and early life. Some paintings hang in the museum. Clean washroom. Friendly and efficient staff person with a sense of humour. An excellent overview of Brockville life and history. Visited late July 2022
July 2022 updateReally nice and well located museum. No admission but donations welcomed. There are two sections to the museum. One side is the famous people or residents from the region and their stories. While the other side is a large room with artifacts on main and paintings on second floor.I suggest start with the people and social section first so that you will have a better understanding of the layout of the artifacts areas and it’s paintings.
We walked around the museum, it was by donation. It had interesting stuff.
Excellent experience. The museum manager did a great job answering questions about the history of Brockville and the demise of many businesses. Also recommended dining options.
Full of amazing history
Super easy to book a visit online. Was greeted warmly and then had the run of the museum. Having justed moved to Brockville, I learned a lot about the history of the places where I now walk around.
Great little museum. Staff was super friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. Continued to be helpful throughout the visit. Lots of great information and historical artefacts packed into one causing a little place. Recommend for a couple hour visit for sure! Neat little gem!
Go and see interesting things
Great place to learn about brockvilles past
Alot of history in a small place. Great staff
Nice little museum for the history buff in you. Entrance is by donation which is great. Very insightful information about the history of Brockville and its population.
Très intéressant et tellement dhistoire. Le personnel est tellement agréable et sympathique.
Interesting and fun stop if youre passing through Brockville. Worth checking out if youre interested in Canadian history.
I was here for a Tattoo display and watched someone get inked. Wonderful displays with very personal stories of why the individuals got tattoos. You were able to ask questions of both the artist and subject, which was very interesting. Some very tasteful hors doeuvres were able during the event. I will have to come back for a better all round look at the Brockville Museum. Cheers
Interesting local history, but nothing of impact to someone from out if the country.
Website said open to 5pm so we walked there and apparently they arent open Saturdays at this time of year. Im sure its a wonderful place but the website needs updating.
The industry, buildings, and people of Brockville. Admission by donation. Plan a spending an hour here.
Great museum with plenty to learn about a nice town. A bit text heavy, though, and could use a bit more stuff to look at rather than to read.
Nice little museum, tells the story of Brockville’s industry quite well.

What was made in Brockville? Cars and some very cool ones are on display. Lots of interactive displays for the kids and plenty of interesting information for adults!
Have visited this place 3 times and always enjoy it. Staff is friendly.
Great museum with a lot going on! Awesome exhibits on local history. Admission by donation.
Very interesting place to visit.
Travel through time and discover the history of Brockville.Take a self guided tour through museum and learn about the industrialization age in the area, explore the evolution in transportation, clothing, sports and more. The exhibits are unique as they are varied.Walk into the past in the period home, complete with furnishings and the displays are full of information and memorabilia.
The Brockville Museum is the first stop for any visitor interested in the history of this interesting city. The exhibits and displays are very well presented throughout the rooms. The great hall holds some of their larger items. There you can see an Atlas automobile, a horse-drawn hearse, a steam fire engine, and a farmers seeder. It is also a good place to carry out local and family research.
