Broad St, Reading RG1 7QE, Kapoeta
Shopping mall with household and fashion shops, plus a supermarket, fast-food outlets and eateries.
Its definitely not the best shopping centre ever but it has a couple of ok shops.Definitely could do with a modernisation, its also on the small side.
Lovely place. Nice kids rides all around the mall for little ones to enjoy.
Nice place but I thought thered be more decent shops
Branded as Readings original mall, this centre hosts a lot of small businesses and amenities. Central location in town makes it a place paraded by lot of people.
Tricky to find but a good car park. Nice and convenient. Easy access to streets and Mall.
Recently refurbished, and looking good. Could do with a few more big brands, and cheaper parking, considering its not quite central.
Generally well kept, plenty of varied shops, usually a better place to find a low price bargain compared to the nearby Oracle. Easy to reach in the centre of town, and while there aren’t lots of places inside to eat, it’s right next door to lots of choice in the town centre.
Not many shops here and quite old but its ok, just a bit further away from town than the Oracle and not many places to eat.
Really need independent shops all ate starting to close or gone
Mall for the general public. You can buy all kinds of stuff here and there have post office, fast food shops and cafes etc
Went for covid booster, staff were quick and efficient & very good with our autistic son.
Nice shopping centre real shop rather than stand oracle layout that seems to be blueprint for most shopping centres these days
Clean and tidy, if you will have a chance get samosas that are sold close to escalator.
Good Mall.. decent crowd. The Veggy&fruits stall in the entrance at left takes all the cake ! :)
Is a bit old but has a great atmosphere and various different shops. Is worth a visit
Cleanest, shiniest and reasonably priced products. The parking is expensive though
It’s a good mall with variety of shops around. The decorations in the mall is nice as well. The only challenge is the rest room
Covered shopping centre what else is there to say. Its not bad with a good selection of shops
In years gone by, this use to be the main Shopping Centre of Reading..St Marys Butts Shopping Centre on Broad street. In its heyday, it was the hub,the place to go to ( if not to shop, then just hang-outthe shops were plentiful and I recall there being a huge ARGOS store. Now, a shadow of its former self, glory days over, replaced by THE ORACLE. Still, a few shops strive in the Mall,,,Post Office, WILKO, TKMAXX, SUPERDRUG, NHS HEALTH CENTRE, BEAUTY PARLOURS, READING BUS INFORMATION SHOP and various other shops.
Not as fancy as the Oracle but better value for money. Theres Wilko for everything, TKMax for all clothing and Superdrugs for all the medicine, just to name a few. Bright and well lit but closes earlier than the Oracle.
Smaller than the oracle but good since it is right in front of the bus and is also right in town centre
Great range of affordable shops including Poundland and a great value greengrocer - worth a visit whenever pennies are tight
has everything you need, good layout with lots of accessibility (stairs, escalators, and lifts)
It seems the mall was once a trendy and landmark in Reading town center. However now it is outdated in design and lacking of attraction inside. Still it does not a broken mall. Indeed its location is good.
Always my favourite place to shop , seemed to taken a hit since the oracle but still the best
Fantastic space... inexpensive 3-screen cinema with all the usuals... cafe with various seating areas... collaborative working spaces... great venue.
All malls are very similar with lots of shops so no issues. The parking charges at the Riverside especially for over 2 hours of parking is frankly outrageous .
Meets most needs but missing some essential stores.
Shops and restaurants are great, but beware car park access is narrow
Not too big, but good Mall. It has some cafes and parking. Always nice and clean toilets. In Mall you can find shops like TKmax, Wilco, Poundland, Post office, stationary, furniture, clothing, accessories, pastry, wedding dresses and Gym. You can find Amazon locker and beauty salonIts very beautifully decorated during the Christmas season.
Amazing place to shop for every age group so much selection and they have an extremely good ladies hairdresser there super cuts.highly recommend .Toni Hunter
A nice little mall, some empty shops but thats expected, nice Boswells and sweetcorn stall, plus cant beat a Gregs!
Always shop here clean and tidy public toilets always clean to a high standard baby changing aswell plus a few good shops centre security always willing to help
Good walk around for food, poundland the works even fresh fruit and veg shop
Small mall that has Wilkos, TK Max, Holland and Barrett. Some fast food brands. NHS. The gym and physical therapists as well which is handy after too much lifting at the gym or carrying copious amounts of shopping bags !
Are not too many things what to see in this mall. Is very small and except post office and other two shops nothing interested. The toilets started to be untidy and people are not too nice. The prices are quite expensive.
Rough, grubby and dated, did not have a pleasant feeling to it. The main high street outside is even worse and one of the worst places I have been for a while. The kind of place that makes you hold on to your possessions a little more.
I suppose Im a bit of and ol timer now but have always preferred the Butts centre(broad street mall). I really enjoy foodies, friendly staff and good food...what more can you ask?
Very dated very shabby. Lots of boarding. Really looks run down. No longer a nice part of town centre. With so much history it should be better looked after.
A well Managed Clean Mall Situated near Town Center of Reading UK. All types of various Shops are available in this Mall. Reasonable Price, Branded Products is the speciality of this Mall.
This Mall is in the heart of Reading Town centre. There are many Retail and food shops. Like Boswells Cafe, Gregs, Wilkes, pounland Etc.
Always go to Broad Street Mall for specific items. Post office is great, staff helpful. Shops not as expensive as The Oracle. Love the card shop and The Works. Parking quite expensive though.
Entrance and exit of the car park is like labiryth with narrow lanes where easy to scratch rims of the car. Price per 1 h higher then expected but not dramatic £1,60Mall itself is nothing special on ground floor. I cant tell what is on upper floors, didnt went there - I was just looking for the Fast Food and preferably drive through. But found just that one.As Ive seen, apart of Greegs, other fast food restaurants are outside, so you have to enter them from the street.
A small but good quality shopping centre on the west side of Readings town centre. Plenty of car parking, as well as many bus stops outside too. A good handful of shops and cafés inside, and the centre is well laid out, also being clean and tidy. Compliments the larger, more modern The Oracle nicely! 😌
Went here for the covid vaccinations and realized itd been years since I was last here.Apart from the feeling of nostalgia, it was a pleasant surprise to find a lot of useful shops. Holland and Barrett, there is an organic nuts and dried fruit shop which was much better value than other places, and a few other gems. If the climate crisis wipes out the Oracle, this place looks like itll still be standing (and have the same shops).
The mall was clean and tidy with full access from the carpark. Reasonable selection of smaller brand shops. Nice food stand section with a good variety of things to eat. Toilet facilities and all lifts and escalators in good working order. Previously might have been a place to avoid but definitely on the up and up.
Odd selection of shops, majority not really high Street grade, but its well maintained and staff are friendly and approachable. TK Max is most probably the most popular unit in there
Ample parking space. Car park was nice and clean good spaces for parking. Clutter-free. Clean mall. Many many shops to choose from joining with High Street shops. Toilet facilities available which was nice and clean. The mall was nice and bright. Easy access to wheelchair users. Disabled parking bays available with lifts. Access to public transport and local restaurants from this mall. Very convenient.
An old fashioned but convenient shopping complex on two floors. Has variety of shops, walk in NHS medical centre, Boswells Coffee house and various other shops. Parking in the same block with direct access to the shops.
Slightly depressing shopping mall with an NHS walk in centre. The management are trying their best to compete with the neighbouring Oracle mall which is offers plenty of shops and has more of a buzz. This mall has a decent size Wilko and TK Maxx aswell.Would I come back here if I was passing by? Probably not.
