Beautiful, clean, countless varieties of flora and fauna.5 Stars for transport by boat. Big, cozy, not crowded in off season, employees friendly and kind. Prices reasonable.3 Stars for the Safari Park. Animals dont seem relaxed at all. The zebras, goats, donkeys and peacocks seem ok as they have very large enclosures, but the Ostriches are obviously very stressed (plucking feathers). The worst of all is the elephant cow. Alone - her partner the elephant bull died 12 !! years ago, which is a very very long time for an elephant to be alone. Female elephants shouldnt live a solitary life. Also the enclosure is really really really tiny.2 Stars for the rentals. Bikes are old and rusty, no gears and not well equipped (no baskets, no phone mount..). The lady at the rentals was very uninterested and unhelpful. Prices are reasonable though.On some places there is unnecessary trash that could easily be removed.Nevertheless it is definitely worth a visit.Hopefully theyll improve the Safari Park soon.

Island is very beautiful this time of the year. The guided tour was nice!The sport department, where I rented a car, is quite old but the girl working there was very nice and helpful with everything I asked!

I recently visited Brioni National Park with friends and it was a really lovely experience. After the interesting tour given by our relaxing guide Andrej, we had time to explore on our own and so we rented an electric car. The staff working there was helpful and fast with providing us the vehicle. We could go on our own and befriend the zebras and donkeys of the Safari Park. The ostriches, too. The nature there is beautiful and the museums offer a look into the rich history of the island.

Beautiful island and beautiful park. The safari zoo was very interesting, between zebras and ostriches. In my opinion, the elephant looked sad and had little space in comparison to other animals. One negative note: we went for coffee with a glass of water at the bar. We were served water in a broken glass, despite the bartender having noticed it.

Stunning island. Ferries there are widely available. You should leave yourself as long as possible to visit the island, so make sure to take an early ferry. Otherwise, there are also hotels on the island. Avoid taking any of the tours.

Beautiful nature. So much things to see. You can come with small boats of with big ones. We came with ship called Brijuni. After we arrived on the island we took the "train" with a guided tour. Amazing views. On the island you can find several nice beaches. (mostly empty so you can enjoy in peace).Beside "train" you can rent golf cars, scooters, bicycles for explaining Brijuni.There are few restaurants where you can eat of buy a drink.

Today we visited this beautiful island. There are really many places to visit and you can easily spend a whole day here like we did. This place just breathes history. I have to give a star down for the slightly inflated prices both for the entrance and for the refreshments on the island (two coffees with water 100 kuna +and also the thing that puzzles me a lot. A lot of peacocks live on the island and they shed their feathers. I witnessed a family collect some beautiful peacocks in the forest and wanted to take them away by boat. However, on departure the staff confiscated the feathers, crumpled them up and threw them in the bin! Such a shame! I understand that nothing can be picked or collected, but why does it end up in the bin ?

Was so beautiful. Had lots of places to swim. Not alot of animals but patting the zebra made up for it.

I have heard and read a lot about history and offer of Brijuni and had some idea how it should look. But, to see all that in person was fantastic and it exceeded all of my expectation. I cant wait to return, but next time for more that one day.My next visit was as great as first one.This time I was walking around island and seen things i have missed before.What i notice is that signs could be better. And GPS can be weak.I recommend you to rent an electric bike (vespa likeand enjoy :)

Beautiful day spent in Brioni national park, the short ferry ride to the island was nice as well, in the island we took the tour with a tour guide that told us about the history of the region and island, rode the family train through the main parts of the island for an hour, beautiful beaches and an amazing day in that historical

Beautiful place, amazing atmosphere, wonderful view of the sea.

Brioni island(sis a special place mainly for two reasons, history of a country which doesnt exist anymore and for mild nature that you can experience only on a mediterranean tiny island. The beginning of the visit start in Fažana village at the info point of Hotel Neptun in the old center just in front of the starting dock near the village beach. Here you will buy tickets and embarked on the boat. The best option to visit Brioni is to pick the official organization, Brioni National Park. You have many options to choose, we choosed the one with guided tour and I racommend it. We enjoyed many interresting stories the guide has told us about the history of the island, the legendary president of Yugoslavia Tito (Brioni was his official political residence), particularities of the island nature, geography, malarya which was a problem at the island around 150 years ago (I dont remember the name of our guide but she was great... tours are in Croatian, English, Italian and German language. The tour included ride with tourist train through the main interresting points on island (safari, the Roman ruins on the beach Verige, oldest olive tree in Kvarner, ...). We visited the museum of Tito, churches, old olive tree, cedra alley ... the tour takes approximately 3 hours but are 3 really running fast hours and even for our 13 years old boy the whole tour wasnt boring at all. After that we went to the fazanerija to see Koki, 66 years old cockatoo that Tito gave to his granddoughter, and other birds, then went the beach, swam, eat at the caffeteria, and in the end we were lucky enough to catch the movie of the Pula Film Festival and watched it under the starry summer sky. And one more thing, as we decided to watch the movie, we stay late on the island, we were lucky to see the deers peacefully graze with his herd on the greenyards, rabbits, peacocks, hoopoos ... it was a day to remember.

Beutiful, untouched nature. Place you shouldnt miss in Istria. Crystal clear waters for swimming. Island tour is also interesting. Visit museum, botanical garden and safari park.

Awesome park. would recommend if you have kids. Rent a golf cart, and drive around the island yourself. Think this was the most relaxing and fund trip I had in a long time The golf car gives perfect shadow on a hot day.

A step back into time. Well run for the size of the park with some excellent sights and displays to see. We purchased the guided tour which was nice to see much of the island by train. Good experience.

Just beautiful!If you can, rent a bicycle or another vehicle, so that you can travel around the whole Brijuni and see beautiful nature by yourself.And its worth paying more for a train tour if you havent been yet on Brijuni.Also, pizza in the small pizzeria bar is really good and enough for two persons :DWhen tourists stop coming to Brijuni by the boats/ferry and go back at for example from 19:00h most beaches become private nature paradise.

It is just beautiful. The nature, animals, walking through forests. Its so peaceful. And on one of the warmest days in a year it didnt feel as warm, because of the shades, and breeze all around. Safari is maybe best reached with some kind of vehicle you can rent there, it is a bit far from the port and it doesnt have that much trees like the rest of the island

Nice place with good infrastructure and an interesting offer. The joy of the visit was ruined by the rental station staff. We were lied to, the real price was different than confirmed earlier. BE CAREFUL while renting bike or melex car.

The island overall is good. However, the safari park seems to be was forgotten in the 80s, particularly the poor Elephant who has such an small space to walk and live with a very dirty water area and boxed in a small fence area. The elephant has been left alone for over 12 years living in such a horrible conditions.The guide guy mentioned there was another Elephant who died 12 years ago and there have only made an sculpture in his memory. What about the conditions of the existing female Elephant?We enjoyed the tour untill we arrived to where the elephant 🐘 is kept. Very depressing and hard to see to be honest.Croatian institutions MUST do something about this to ensure this animal is kept in good conditions and it is care by professionals. Loads of space in the island and they only give the animal a few square metres to be. Perhaps instead of giving such a luxury houses to Croatian politicians they should also think about the health and conditions in which they kept their animals.

Brijuni national park is one of the gems of Istria. I would definitely recommend it for the nature and unique experience. Take the safari tour and enjoy beautiful scenery with very interesting history. The tours are worth their money. You can also rent bikes and cars but the price is a bit steep considering the quality. In general logistics are not very good. For example you cant pay for the tour only when on the island but its only available through buying the tickets. Bike stands are not very close to points of interest like hotel and its not a good experience for visitors. I recommend to buy them online.

Definately you should just buy a boat ticket and maybe rent a golf cart to get around on the island, the guided tour is not worth it. Safari park is quite small. There is also Titos Villa with exhibitions of stuffed animals and old state visit photos.

A great daily (and probably multi-daytrip. I used a rented bicycle which you can get near the marina where the ferry docks. Biked all around the big island and had a really great time. There are also guided tours with a small road train, and there are small golf carts and scooters available for rent. But if you can, I suggest renting a bicycle and doing a free travel around the island. I assume you dont miss much in comparison to the tour because each landmark and animal has a board with a description anyway. Plus you can stop and get around on foot any time you like.

Very pretty place, i would recommend going around by bike and exploring things on your own.We went with a guide, but theres not much he told us. Mostly about Tito, if youre interested about that. You get to visit more things if you go by yourself and pick the things you want to see.

This Nation Park is out standing! Having experienced national parks in mainland U.S., Alaska, Hawaii, Canada and Korea. And have toured parts of Japan, France, Bavaria, Italy and Greece, this location reached the top of our list, and was put on our "Id come back here!" places we enjoyed. The guided tour was a joy. The rich history and very well preserved displays and structures are gorgeous. The interactive museum was great fun for not only adults the children. Im not a garden guy, but our guided stroll through this Mediterranean jewel is informative and surprising. The safari tour had a surprise around every corner. We planned to leave on the 5:30pm ferry boat, but stayed at the hotel restaurant enjoying wine with appetizers and took the last ferry back to the main land, having experienced a very memorable day.

Nice trip to the summer residence of the famous Tito. Not only interesting from the historycal point of view, but also a relaxing place. Probably it could be done a little bit more to preserve the beauty of the remains of what Tito left behind (all the structures of the zoo are empty and not well maintained). The botanical gardern was a real disaster (literally nothing to see - all the lavender was dead and the grass was high, expected a little bit more from this).We came with the dog and the entrance for the dog was 100kn in April 2022.This is a “must” if visiting Istria, I reccomend at least 3-4 hours for the visit + to take a golf cart (300kn per hour). There are not enough golf cart for all the visitors, it’s not possible to get a reservation, so the only reccomendation is to run as fasf as you can to the sports rental 😂

Beautiful nature, 4 stars only because of that. Organization of rentals is not something to be proud of. No el.cars for 6, even though on web it said they have. All bikes should have baskets or at least smart phone holder of some sort so one can easily follow the route. Toilets are very poorly kept.

This was my second time visiting and its awesome!With the ticket you get a tour of the island and they show all the important stuff.You can also explore on your own by foot or you can rent golf carts, electric scooters, and many more for a reasonable price!Good place to visit.

Very peaceful and quiet. Beautiful animals and nice weather. We took the electr. Car to explore, the guys that work there are great. Other employees of the park are also nice and friendly.

I have been to this national park few times before on a half day tours. This time I decided to stay at the hotel and it was a good decision because island looks different when the tourist groups are gone. It is peaceful in the evening, so do not be surprised if you see rabbits or does on the meadow close to the hotel. The staff on the island was very friendly and helpful. And one more thing, rent a golf car for perfect visit of the whole island.

Great place. A must see if you are in this part of Croatia. Guid d tour is great, and you can get lots of information about the island. Here they have a small zoo, so it can be interesting to children. Also there are animals roaming free, so you can see them if you are walking around. History of the island is really interesting.There are few nice beaches here if you are staying longer.

Must-see. We had a wonderful day in the island walking and walking. No need to deal with people here. Weve seen the dinosaur place and the safari and other great places. Bikes or bobby cars are too expensive to rent, but youre very welcome to hike and enjoy a day off

Overall i think the tour is worth your money. Our guide was very good with handling so many people and very friendly. The island itself is beautiful and has a lot to offer. Its interesting to learn about the history and the many different animals.

Perfect excursion trip for couples, families, group of friends.You arrive from Fažana and have little train tours on Croatian, English, German and Italian language where you visit safari and do sight-seeing of the island.Take your swimming gear because it is possible to swimm on several secluded beaches in peace without the crowd.Also, island has many exhibitions to see and its easy to spend whole day there with rented bikes or golf cars.

We had an amazing day on this Island. After a 3 hour guided tour, we took a little electric car rent and it was an excellent idea to explore other places. Kids enjoyed looking for dinosaur footprints and spoting animals in the nature - rabbits, deers, peacocks even a lost turtle.Beach near the port was our last stop to take a swim and refresh from a hot summer day.One day is simply not enough to see all this beauty. Must come again soon....

A historical national park with a perfect combination of green nature and blue sea. My favorite are the Safari part with zebras, ancient roman remains and the possibility to rent out a bike and discovernrhe island by yourself. This place is so peaceful and calm, you wish to stay here forever.

Its really beautiful and you can see a lot of the untouched nature with Mediterranean vegetation and Titos legacy. Its recommended to book everything in advance.Most of the island (especially the prettier partsis closed to visitors anyway, so you can visit only the "touristy" parts. The guided tour is a train that takes you on a hour long trip with (tooshort stops to visit the safari park. The good thing is that you can rent an e-bike or regular bicycle (with a kid trolleyand have a tour of the island.

Very, very, very hard to be visited during COVID restrictions. We could not travel on land, all the panoramic tours are all about traveling around the island, which is, so so so windy and cold during May. Also, since not so many tourists are present, the price is close to be 100e per person, against the 20 euros required in a normal period, since you have to buy a full private tour. Italian language on payment, so I am supposed to understand local language despite spending 100 euros.. With half of the price I did a tour in Venices Canal Grande...

Beautiful place, gorgeous landscape. It is like little Heaven in Croatia. Would visit again. If you are into photography you can get great photos. Drinks and icecreams are a bit expensive. The air is fresh. There are great golf fields. Trees are old and beautiful. The place is full of history from the Romans to modern times.
