The military bars of India inspired this lively spot with exotic BBQ, full bar, TV sports & pool.
Nice restaurant, polite and attentive staff, not very busy on a Friday evening, good food, absolutely crazy high prices e.g. 24£ for a normal size curry without rice included and 15£ for a gin and tonic. We didn’t get drinks.
Excellent modern Indian food. The Hyderabadi Jheenga Poori is fantastic and the the grilled meats nicely spiced. Very pricey but worth it for a treat.
This was the most beautiful birthday party I could expect. I used to celebrate at Trishna in a party of 2 ppl. This year I chose to have a larger party, but Trishna did not have availability. It turned out to be a lucky miss so I could try Brigadiers (I wanted to remind in the JSK family). While not starred, the service is at exactly the same standards, from booking (I did not know until the end if we were going to be 9 or 11), to food and wine suggestion, to speed of service and the birthday treats! Great quality food as well, the Feast was abundant... I have been so happy to have chosen Brigadiers for the evening! Such great memories! Looking forward to coming back soon!
Every now and then you discover a place that just resonates with your soul. The staff is friendly and efficient, and a shout-out to Eric (bar areawho is absolutely amazing! Eric walked me through the menu which offers various Indian classics, but with an urban twist. Selected three appetizers (I was eating aloneand saffron ice cream (for the first time)... yeah! Finally, an absolute classic bourbon to finish off the meal. Oh I know what youre thinking: American whiskey to cap off an Indian meal? Dont knock it till you try it. By the way, their choice of whiskies knocks the socks off of many cocktail bars that Ive seen. Thank you Eric and the rest of the team at Brigadiers!
Omg so good!! The goat belly samosas, lamb chops, short rib, and gulab creme brulee. The drinks were also super delicious. I dont think Ive ever had Indian food this good so I will definitely be back when Im in London again.
Biggest let down was the limited halal options on the menu. Any decent Indian restaurants has halal beef or lamb biryani options. Only chicken biryani was available and thats not even on the menu so had to ask.The staff were great and provided a good service and the 1 star is not a reflection on them as I say they were great. The food tasted good, I really liked the bbq butter chicken wings and the lettuce paneer. The biryani was ok nothing special. I was really hoping to taste the beef biryani but like I said I wasnt halal so couldnt try it which was a shame as that was the main reason I was there. The chips masala, I have had better, I didnt like the size of the so called chips which were esentailly rectangular pieces of potatoes and seem to offer nothing in terms of taste, normal size chips offer a greater taste.I heard good things about Brigidiers from a friend and the reviews online and the restaurant seems to make top 10 of Indian places to visit but unfortunately I wont be visiting there unless a better halal menu is offered with more overall options available.Tayyabs in Whitechapel, Saffron kitchen in Leyton, Kadiris in Willesden, Dishoom is better.
Food was exception especially the wagyu seekh kebab. They made peshwari naan and garlic naan separately which wasn’t on the menu.Very respectful of halal requirements. I will definitely return and recommend this spot for groups.
Nice upmarket Indian restaurant with a unique atmosphere of military cafes. They have quite a few veggie and vegan options. We ordered grilled vegetables and biryani which didn’t disappoint. We found the portions quite sizeable for two girls, but a doggy bag solved the problem :)
Food was absolutely amazing and delicious. Blew my mind and possibly the best Indian food I ever had so far.
Ive eaten Indian food at places around the world. Brigadiers is, without a doubt, the best Ive ever had (full transparency, Ive not been to South Asia). The butter chicken was a highly elevated take on the usual chunks of chicken is gravy, in the form of a whole small chicken in a perfectly seasoned sauce. The goat shoulder was the absolute best Ive had-cooked to perfection with delightfully tender meat. The bread thing it was served on top of absorbed the meat juices and became even better as the meal went on. And the lettuce wraps appetizer was so good, I would have eaten it as my main course. The serving staff was fantastic, providing reccomendations for the menu and ensuring water etc. was always topped up.I am sad this was the final meal of the my trip in London as it precluded me from going back.
Delicious Indian dishes. The restaurant is more like a pub and a bit loud. The staff were very friendly and helpful when explaining the dishes.
A fantastic find, after finding myself unexpectedly needing dinner. Superb atmosphere and the counter was a great experience with Yohuna looking after me so well.I asked her to recommend two dishes and she was spot in withe the chicken skin starter and the lamb chops as a main.Just delicious
I heard great things about this place and can confirm the food was fantastic!Everything was amazing, particularly loved the beef biryiani, samosas and poori.Nice venue, attentive service, would come back!
Excellent Indian restaurant! Food was amazing, staff equally so (very attentive without constantly interrupting you when youre in the middle of conversation). Decor is distinctive and the environment quiet and welcoming. Menu is very different from your standard London fare, but well worth investigating. Im looking forward to going back and trying some other new things! This place remains top notch - if youre in the area you should definitely try it out!
Brigadiers may be one of the best Indian restaurant. I ordered chicken tikka and goat with lacha parantha…both were excellent. The ambiance and service were top notch. In a field where every restaurant is doing a modern take on Indian cuisine, this place serves traditional dishes cooked to perfection.
Prawn biryani - 4.5 starsOne of the best biryanis Ive had. On the greasy side but it packed so much flavour. Not a fan of this type of crunchy prawns but thats just me. They gave plenty of prawns as well.Chicken feast - 4.5 starsButter chicken - 5 stars. Really moist!Kebab - 5 starsCorn and fries were cold but wouldnt fuss over that.Service - 5.5 starsWe sat at the bar and the friendly bartender made drinks, took our orders, served the food and cleared the plates. Thank you!Ambience - 5 starsReminded me of Raffles Hotel in SingaporeA fancy chill place to grab dinner with friends.
Honestly one of the best Indian meals I’ve ever had.Not exactly “curry” options but our sever was so helpful and recommended some dishes that really exceeded my expectations.
Really good. Nice modern atmosphere and decor. Food was great. Took some polish people here who have never had Indian food and it worked out pretty well! Highly recommend.
Amazingly delicious food. Everything cooked perfectly with the right amount/blend of spices. Good value for money. Prompt service. Overall great experience. Drinks were a bit underwhelming but food more than made up for that.
Went to Gymkhana a few years ago and was excited to finally try this sibling restaurant. I think I may have even enjoyed this one more. Top-notch food for sure.
The food was outstanding, The whole vibe of the place is amazing. Nikoletta, our server for the day was absolutely brilliant. The butter chicken bbq wings were the star of the evening.
We luckily managed to book a table here on a Monday afternoon for dinner and it did not disappoint! We arrived at the restaurant early and was allowed to have a seat in the bar. The food was amazing, the restaurant despite being very busy, was very quick to get our food out (perhaps a bit too quickly as some of our starters arrived before our drinks). Our waitress Jystyna was excellent and getting everything to us in a quick manner. My only criticism is having a charity donation added to the bill automatically and not knowing what charity its for.
Too expensive. Exclusive place, i.e. We believe there is no table if you dont wear a suit, plenty of tables free whilst we were located to have lunch at the bar. Quality and taste is good, also the service (barmanwas good.
The menu is large and I really struggled to pick what I wanted. I loved the vibe of this restaurant. Relaxed, sports playing on the tv, a nice buzz and great service.Bread basket - MUST need but only for a group of 3+. There was just 3 of us and this was so filling!!! Shame they don’t sell single portion of bread.Bbq butter chicken wings - a DELIGHT! For a starter this portion was massive, as was everything else.Amritsar fish sliders - star of the day. Must order!!Fried seafood of prawns, squid and soft shell crab - actually quite disappointing. It was over fried and a bit stodgy. The sauce that came with it was fantastic though. We were so full we cancelled the main because this was a lot for 2 people!!! I think this place is perfect for a group of at least 4 people to share lots of dishes!!Value for money in my opinion, and a great spot for Indian food. This restaurant is actually HUGE and is perfect for private dining.
Amazing food. We chose the vegetable biryani and sizzling vegetables along with chocolate run cake for desert tonight. Highly recommend everything. Close to the train, safe neighborhood even at night.
Amazing food, brilliant tandoor style food. The staff was very hospitable, friendly and prompt and overall very good service. All the food from starters to desserts were well made, portion sizes were generous unlike other upscale places and tasted amazing.
I went to Brigadiers 2 weeks back without a reservation. It was an early Wednesday evening, when I got there the lady at the reception desk (Hannahmade me and my business associate and his wife feel very unwelcome. One could tell that she wanted us to leave. She was curt..borderline rude and wasnt accommodating at all. I was made to feel very embarrassed in front of my guests. Luckily, Mint Leaf Lounge down the road accommodated us that evening and saved the day!Reluctantly, I happened to go to Brigadiers again tonight..this time with reservations and coincidentally with the same business guests. I had no great expectations of the service there or the food. To my surprise, our maitre d - Salvatore was absolutely amazing! We had ordered 3 beers and had to wait a bit as they were changing the kegs..seeing that we were waiting that tad longer than expected, Salvatore got us complimentary beers. When we ordered a starter course (not knowing that the portion size is 2 pieces and we were 3 dinersSalvatore got an extra portion so we could each get a piece. His gesture was from the heart and he fully understood the finer nuances of hospitality. I have posted his picture on the review. If you do happen to go to Brigadiers..please ask for Salvatore to be your maitre d. He made our dining experience even better!
The Lamb Chops and Biriyani were amazing! The Gulab Jamun Crème Brulee was also great! Good good and great service, recommended.
Food was delicious. Very generous portions. A lot of options since restaurants, bar or even pool tables. Services was a bit absent. A bit expensive but I guess it is in the city.
We planned an event for our corporate retreat for the Brigadiers terrace. It was an absolutely wonderful time! Having been cooped up for so long due to COVID and finally being able to spend time together was lovely, but the service and food made it spectacular. I have to particularly thank Ren, Claudia, and Arjun for being so welcoming and accommodating to our many requests. Some particular highlights from the bites menu were the Achmi chicken skins, Guinea fowl reshmi kebab, chicken lettuce cups, and the Konkani coast scallops were truly delightful. The biryani was enjoyed by all as well. I’d highly recommend this beautiful space with its wonderful team to everyone!
Came with my family, including two under two, and the staff were incredibly friendly (and playful with the kids!), helpful and hospitable. The food, well, I couldnt recommend it more. The butter chicken wings, wagyu seekh kebab kati roll, tawa prawn biriyani and the grills are must-haves, and you cant go wrong with any of their Old Fashioneds, too. They also have a vegan menu and a kids menu -- both of which are substantial and more than accommodating. Easily one of my favourite restaurants in London.
The staff was courteous but the food was okayish- actually some dishes were tasty some were bland. I only tried vegetarian stuff so- Veg Sizzler had tasty mushrooms and beetroot tikki but below average paneer and cauliflower, aloo chaat was tasty, the lettuce cup tasty but the main dish I ordered paneer butter masala was almost tasteless, same for the cheese naan and daal.
My go to for wonderful Indian food!I often visit here when I need a good Indian fix! The butter chicken wings and lamb chops (full rack is pricey but is worth it!are must orders!Cheesy naan, biryani are great side cwrhs to bulk the order.I cannot wait to revisit!
What a perfect place for Indian food! Everything is super aromatic with loads of flavour, and surprisingly not greasy or heavy at all. Staff was really nice and helped to choose the best from the menu. We had a few different starters (BBQ wings are a must try!and mains - everything was super tasty and didn’t disappoint. I wasn’t sure about trying something new but can 100% recommend, even for a fussy eater. Kulfi for a dessert was a great choice too and was a nice finishing touch to the whole dinner. We will definitely be back!
Lovely dining experience at Brigadiers.Food was delicious, decor was superb. Our waiter, Dish, made our experience wonderful. He was knowledgeable, polite, friendly and really professional. Definitely recommend Brigadiers!
Loved loved loved the food! Perfect indian flavors, and tempting food presentation. They were so sweet to wish us with a special anniversary dessert. The staff is pleasant, attentive and offer wonderful service. Brigadiers is a must visit for an Indian treat.
Amazing food and super fast service. I highly recommend the lamb chops and the goat shoulder. For the starters you must try the butter wings. The staff is very kind and helpful with the recommendations.
Finally got to visit and it did not disappoint! The fantastic waiter guided us through the wealth of options. Some serious cocktails to start. Paneer lettuce cups were the perfect balance of flavour and texture. Chicken skin canapés were a delight. The infamous butter chicken wings, were exactly as expected 🤌. The show stopper for me was the bone marrow biryani - wow!
Brigadiers definitely dont shy away from the spice and layering delicious intense flavours into their food and I love them for it! Had a fantastic lunch with some incredible Indian food cooked using their well known bbq, grilling and tandoor techniques. The small plates just hit every mark for me and what I want from Indian good Indian food, the chaat is some of the best Ive eaten and the Telicherry Fry is just a plate of happiness. From the larger plates we had the Dum Beef Shin and Bone Marrow Biriyani as we know what makes a great biriyani, and we could not fault it, a dish of just jam packed flavours, perfect spicing and perfectly cooked meat. For dessert we stayed more classic from the options they had and chose the Saffron Kulfi with Kheer which was the perfect sweet finish to the meal. The fusion dessert I will definitely try next time is the Gulab Jamun Crème Brûlée as thats the type of fusion food I would think of to cook myself. Excellent drinks and cocktails here too, if youre into your whiskey, would highly recommend the Barfi Old Fashioned. The service and the staff were perfect, very kind, attentive and lovely to be around with a really nice atmosphere and decor to replicate the old military bars of India. Price wise, Brigadiers is definitely value for money compared to other Indian restuarants in the area and worth every penny for the quality of cooking and food they prepare. (for two of us ordering a cocktail each, 3 small plates, 1 plate, 1 dessert, a coffee + service, it was just over £100).
I went to Brigadiers for my wedding anniversary celebration and loved this place. Excellent ambience and super delicious food. Food is on a pricey side but totally worth it. Drinks were equally good. Staff was friendly and attentive. Totally worth going back again. 👍👍👍👍👍
Excellent dining experience. Warm ambience with lots of traditional wooden brown shades. High quality of food starting off with the papads and chutneys. The paneer lettuce cups were great as were the lasooni chicken, paneer roll, lamb rolls. The best was the chicken wings with a super delicious sauce. The Mushroom biryani was different but nice. The dessert of gulab jamun brulee was unlike anything Ive had, a crazy combination of flavours but really worked very well. The service was excellent and enthusiastic as well which added to the fantastic experience.
A great taste, I enjoyed every dish we tried. The place was packed and the service was very good. The recommendation from the waited was excellent, the quality and quantity is great. Lamb Bryani and Shrip Bryani are excellent choices if you like rice.
Cool spot for lunch.I like the way they have set the place out.Good venue to bring a few mates and the food was tasty and worth coming back for.
Been here a few times. The food is amazing. You defo need to book in advance. Bit more on the pricey side. But the staff and everything is very good. Only negative is I would like to see a few more chicken dishes on the menu. Like a chicken biriyani.
Amazing food and cocktails and very cool atmosphere. We shared poppadoms and 4 starters which was too much food for two people who had a late lunch! But really yummy and flavourful. Some dishes were really spicy but another dish was mild and with yogurt and it was a really nice balance!
Great service even though it’s busy most of the time. Delicious Indian snacks and full meals, with a great selection of beers, wines and cocktails. Lovely atmosphere even when there’s no sport on!
Original take on Indian food, more on the fine dinning side. We got the Diwali feast and oh boy it was a feast. All dishes were flavoursome but refined. Our favourite, the chicken skin. Service is great, attentive and kind. The place is gorgeous. People are a bit loud but it makes sense given that it’s a sports bar as well. A bit pricey but it’s totally worth it.
This is really a unique place! Great interior design, absolutely love it. Service is immaculate, staff knows the menu very well and are very helpful. But you probably wonder what about food? This is the best Indian food I had in London!Especially recommend Tandoori lamb chops. One of the best mango lassi I’ve ever had!Dum beef shin& bone marrow biryani also worth a note!Currently the only bread option is a bread basket which is quite big. Would be nice to be able to order just one naan or chapati.
Excellent dinner at Brigadiers. We chose to come here for date night last night and ordered an assortment of starters and sides, as well a dessert and drinks. We didnt have a booking but we were quickly accommodated with seats at the bar where we enjoyed our meal.Great ambiance, highly recommend booking if theres a game on, as we understand thats when it gets busiest. My favorite starter was the Chilli Paneer in lettuce cups, its brilliant and is reminiscent of Thai larb while still being Indian fusion.Well be back and bring friends and well book a table. Looking forward to it!
Came here for my birthday and had a lovely time at this special establishment. The staff went above and beyond duty to provide an exceptional level of service and very much enjoyed learning about some of the drinks served and history behind the dishes. It was clear they shared the passion in what they were doing. All the dishes were of exceptional quality and would be difficult to replicate at home. I particularly enjoyed the use of spices to provide exciting yet subtle flavours. Mouthwatering dishes with the meat melting in the mouth as it was so tender. The highlight for me was the Kid Goat Shoulder cooked slowly in the tendor for hours which was simply sublime. Will definitely return and try again.
