Description
Great food and service every time!
Wonderful server but had to wait 22 minutes. For her to take our order. The baked stuffed 🦞 were great and a very fair price. Every thing was wonderful 👏 .
MoreWent for an early dinner. Ordered the steak with gorgonzola butter. Cooked to perfection and mighty tasty! Wifey also got the stuffed seafood lobster. She loved every bite!!On a side note, their Caesar salad pizza is the best!!
MoreThe early morning bliss you will never forget with the sunshine glitters on the face. Its a wonderful wonderful and forever lasting memory been there.
MoreAlways a great time when we visit this spot! We go to Humarock every summer and one of my kids favorite things to do is have a "fancy dinner" at the Bridgwaye. Many memories made here.
MoreExcellent restaurant with a locals feel. Food is great and view is spectacular. Bar staff is awesome and always make you feel at home!
MoreGreat food! And a beautiful location!
Solid placeChowder was good as were the steak tipsMy wifes salad was excellentOur server gave a good effort..it was busyWe dined outside it was very niceGreat locationFun night out we definitely go again
MoreThe food might be good - who knows? You havent got a prayer of getting any between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Perhaps this would be a good place for lunch on a Tuesday in March, but forget about eating here in the summer.
MoreNothing special. Was really hoping since it’s owned by the Polcari family, same owners as Regina’s, the pizza would be on par but it’s no where near close. Shame because there aren’t any places in the area that have a similar style pizza to Regina’s.
MoreProbably wont go back. Wasnt really worth it. Great location that is about it
I had got chicken fingers. They were amazing. Loved them
My sister in law and I went to dinner for our birthday present to each other. Having driven past the restaurant a few months prior and remembering it was a nice place many years ago we decided to try it.It was a Thursday evening in July 2022.Upon arrival the parking lot was full almost to capacity which is generally a good sign. The waitress took our drink order upon being seated. After we placed an order for an appetizer and entrée she brought a nice loaf of bread. I would not have ordered an appetizer had I known there was bread. We had just sliced the bread and were applying butter when the appetizer arrived. We were not in a rush because this was a celebration. We only took a few bites of the calamari when the entrees were placed on the table. The tables are a bit small which should not have been a problem if there were not all the food at once. The calamari was heavily breaded with no sauce. The shrimp and scallop polcari had lots of watery sauce with lots of garlic. We put plenty of cheese, pepper corns, salt toadd flavor. The waitstaff was pleasant and thats about the best we can say about our experience.
MoreThe best restaurant on the south shore... I love everything on the menu.. friendly people.. beautiful view 👓
MoreFood was excellent prices were Fair restaurant was clean wait staff was excellent. Go there often
MoreNormally I love this place. Definately seems like they are cheeping out on some ingredients and such lately. Been multiple times in the course of the past month just to see if maybe it was my imagination. Yet I recently ordered a chicken censor pizza and it basically had no chicken. I included a pic. Also ordered some Buffalo tenders that seamed to be watered down with ketchup! Do not order mild! On a good note. They have hired a lot of new staff. Some of which have provided excellent service. Just seems like the food Is a bit on the lacking side lately. Please fix chicken in chicken Ceasars pizza. O ps I actually added the cheese in pic. Seemed to be missing any of that also. Not my first time with this experience. Yet 5 stars to the wait staff and servers. U guys are amazing.
MoreBest fried clams down the cape. Excellent wait staff very courteous and attentive. Definitely number one of my places to visit in the area.
MoreGreat food, prices and service... expect some wait time as always busy
Food was outstanding as usual. Sat outside which was nice..
My friend group decided to dine at Bridgeway Humarock. After a 35-minute wait, we were seated by the unpleasant middle-aged blonde hostess.I happen to be on the curvier side and was wearing a tank top and jean shorts. After I sat down, the hostess leaned over to me and told me "No one wants to see you in that bathing suit top, I will let it slide this time, but no one wants to look at that while eating." I was not wearing a bathing suit top, it was a cotton grey plain tank top.My friends regretfully decided to order food while I sat there uncomfortable and refused to spend my money there. No one was impressed with the food, it was subpar, to say the least. One order was completely mistaken and another never showed. After waiting an additional 20 minutes after the first round of food came out, we asked where our order of fish and chips was, since it never showed. The waitress informed us the kitchen was messing up orders the entire day. Not only was there barely fish on the plate, but they also ran out of fries. Our waitress was extremely pleasant, but she never wrote anything down, which led us to believe thats why an order for a hot dog came out as chicken tenders, that the fish and chips never showed, and we repeatedly had to ask for a side of ranch. We all walked out regretting not leaving when the hostess made her original comment and chose to leave behind any leftovers since they were not worth bringing home.
MoreDelicious Dinners My Fiance Had The Lobster Pie & I Had The Chicken & Eggplant Parmasean, We Came Home With Leftovers For Another Meal! Our Dinner Came To $57 + 20% Tip. Excellent!I Came Here For Many Years When The Arc Og Greater Plymouth Did The Childrens Christmas Parties. My Grandfather Built Some Of The Summer Cottages Over There In The 1940s - 1960s.Also There Are 4 Motel Rooms Above The Restaurant.
MoreVery nice restaurant. Good food reasonable priced
Excellent server and great food. Hugh portions. Took more than half home
Locals get a lot of attention. If you aren’t a local you won’t.The mature hostess makes one feel unwelcome.
MoreFood is really good. Restaurant is always busy. Highly recommend
My wife and I are coming to Marshfield from Croatia every year for the last 5 years and clam chowder from Bridgeway is one of the meals I am looking forward the most and it is usually the first item on to do list while in Marshfield. To be clear, clam chowder is not the only thing that is good there. We just tried coconut shrimp and seafood stew diavolo yesterday - delicious! Actually, I cant think of anything that Ive tried there and that it wasnt good. Staff is very friendly and the vibe is cozy New England everyone-knows-everybody kinda place. Planning to get more clam chowder for the weekend!
MoreDecent restaurant, we recently stopped in for dinner as there are only two restaurants in the area. The food was alright the best thing we had was the Buffalo wings, but my steak was covered in fat, there was more fat on the steak then meat. It was also unseasoned and dry. Our very kind waitress checked with the kitchen staff for us and was able to take that off our bill so we are grateful for that. After our appetizer nobody cleared the old plates off the table so we had very little room. The bar is unable to make alcohol free “virgin” drinks but that’s ok if you aren’t interested in that. Over all the food really isn’t that bad but it’s a little pricey. Would recommend trying it out to see if it’s right for you but I don’t think I’ll be returning to this restaurant.
Morewonderful dockside restaurant. pleasant waitresses. varied menu. fair lunch prices. excellent fish and chip plate. easy access for handicapped and convient parking.
MoreThe staff at Bridgwaye did an awesome job on what I know was a tough day. Sunday, Labor day weekend, we decided on a whim to have dinner there. It was very busy. We were told about the wait and given a pager. We enjoyed delicious Cosmos while seated in the waiting area. After about thirty minutes our server, I think Marcia was her name, was smiling and welcoming as she seated us although Im sure overwhelmed by the crowd. We never felt rushed. We both chose the baked stuffed lobster which wed spied on someones plate earlier. It was hands down the best Ive ever had at a restaurant! Marcia referred to it as a treasure chest, and once we dug in we knew why. It was filled with lobster claws shrimp and scallops and topped with just the right amount of crumbs. We are still thinking about it and cant wait to go back! I work in a kitchen myself, and I know all restaurants are short staffed. But if that was the case at Bridgwaye, the quality did not suffer. Our meals were excellent. Two enthusiastic thumbs up - actually four. My cousin agrees!
MoreWe used to love this place but were beyond disappointed and left without a single eye contact with servers after 15 - 20 minutes at the bar. This place is popular because it’s the only place in town - Humarock that is - and people will come anyway. Good social spot, but being completely ignored just takes all the fun out. Bummer of a night.
MoreThis trip I ordered a small Caesar salad with our pizza and the dressing was exceptional! So many restaurants insist on using way too much vinegar (and lemonin their Caesar dressing...last nights dressing was creamy and delicious. And, as always, the food and service was wonderful.
MoreWe have come to this place for years and everything was always great. Most recent visit was not the best. Food was ehh. Wait staff was horrible and when we went to talk to manager he couldnt be found. It was a rainy saturday at 130 and took almost 2 hrs .
MoreVisited the Brigwaye on a Friday night. The wait was an hour. No problem to wait if your food is worth the wait. Paid $29.99 for fish, shrimp and I ask to swap the claim strips for scallops, and ask for a baked potato. When it came it was a heaping order of food that was incorrect. Claim strips instead of scallops, ff instead of bb. It was also cold. I am assuming they pay more attention to the orders normally or no where else in the area to go. Fish and shrimp were very good. My husbands well done steaks was medium rare.
MoreWorst dining experience Ive ever had. Waited over 1 hour and 40 minutes for our food. After an hour our waitress informed us there our ticket got stuck to another ticket and was missed in the kitchen. It still took 40 more minutes to arrive at our table. To top it off, the food was cold when it arrived. Nothing better than cold fried seafood. Ill never go back.
MoreFood here is always amazing. Specials are worth checking out. Had the swordfish with lobster and lobster sauce tonight and it cooked to perfection. Service was superb as well. And cant forget the great views!
MoreGreat food and great service. Rachel was our waitress and exceptional with her answers to our questions. The lobster roll was delicious.
MoreWaited two hours for a burger that tasted like it was grilled on the bottom of someone’s foot. Over cooked, stale, and bland. No more bread before the food too, just annoying bugs everywhere on the patio.
MoreHunted down the manager on the way out of this joint... to tell her it was the best food Ive ever eaten. The Seafood Pie. Wow. Anyway to give more than five stars?
MoreGreat casual restaurant. Very busy at 5pm on a summer weekday, easing up a bit by 7pm. We enjoyed our swordfish and haddock, but the "signature" chicken caesar salad pizza now seems to have much less chicken on it.Staff were great! Maybe a little overburdened -- dont go here if youre in any kind of a hurry. But this isnt the kind of place you should hurry, anyway.
MoreEntrees came out 15 minutes apart, steak was overcooked, had to get it to go and was still charged for it, not enough waters for the table, and we were there for almost 3 hours because it was so slow. The place was not that busy. If you want this review to have more stars you can refund us the steak.-Steve
MoreThe Bridgewaye is set at the old Whites Shipyard bridge and marina with views of the South River. There is no bad seat anywhere in the restaurant, water views are everywhere. Service is par excellence, with always a friendly personable staff, that become like family by the time youve finished. Large menu with choices of local fresh seafood, local fresh produce, many choices of beef and chicken dishes, appetizers and deserts. Your bartender will make a delicious beverage of your choosing. Full kids menu, family resturant. I recommend the Fish and Chips, the panko encrusted chicken and Brownie Sundae. Outside seating available during dummer months. Covid regulations observed please.
MoreHit or miss depending on the night. More concerning is the fact that everyone at my table was sick tonight. We believe the water may have been contaminated as we all had various drinks while the water was the only common factor. This has happened to me more than a few times here but now that it happened to others Im starting to think its a consistent issue here. This is never acceptable especially during a pandemic.I really hope management takes this review serious.
MoreWe love the food at the Bridgwaye Inn. We had baked stuffed lobster. No one makes it like them. Service was excellent also.Keep up the good work.God bless and protect you all.Marc and Sharon Frigon
MoreGreat atmosphere, delicious food and very friendly staff. Seafood is all very good and fresh and they have plenty of non-seafood options for those not into fish. The lettuce wraps were amazing!
MoreThe Bridgwaye always has consistently good food, and they take the time to change up their soups and menu specials which is great for those of us who frequent their establishment year after year. It is such a great place to chat with other patrons and the bartenders, bar backs and wait staff are truly nice folks and the reason it is one of my favorite places to frequent.
MoreGood food, good atmosphere, right on the river in Humarock. Pizza is very good, especially chicken caesar salad pizza! Burgers are good, fish is always fresh. Only down side is the buffalo wings, the breading and sauce are not a good mix, fried wings may be good or naked wings buffalo style, but together I did not enjoy.
MoreFresh beer & nice location are the highlights. Seated promptly I ordered fried clams as an appetizer (not on the menuthey were excellent. Service was ok. The spaghetti and meatballs were very good. The only downside was the small pizza my wife had, was nothing like the Polcaris pizza in Woburn.
MoreThis is a favorite, "go to " place. The food is fabulous, the service is friendly and attentive, and the menu is satisfying and reasonably priced. Seafood in all its glorious forms dominates, however, the steaks, chops and pizzas are equally represented and deserving of accolades. The atmosphere is casual with an oceanside view.
MoreMy husband and I were there today for an early dinner with another couple. I ordered fish and French fries. Fish was great but French fries were dry and just warm. Not good at all. My friend ordered chicken parm. Chicken was overly cooked. She was not happy at all. I must say they do have a wonderful Caesar dsg. The best Ive ever had. So if we go back we will get Caesar salads.
MoreService, location, quality and price - this place kinda has it all. Its not easy to get to, but worth the trip. On Hummarock beach, the menu is surf and turf. Beer selection is respectable and the seafood is always fresh.Prices are more than fair for the portions and the atmosphere and food presentation are classic South Shore. Youll meet lots of friendly locals at the Bridgwaye, and a few adventurous tourists, too.
