Brickhaus - Restaurant in San Juan, Puerto Rico
Staff and food was amazing in this tiny place. Very close to the pier, shopping, and park . Beware of the Pina Colada it is really good and catches up to you!! I was on a cruise vacation so I really wasnt paying attention to parking and wheelchair access. Prices were good.
Its really nice eat ,I had chicken wings it was really good
Very cool local bar, great live music, food was good, great atmosphere, worth a look
Best wings in town!Kitchen open till 10:30 pmHappy hour everydayHomemade burgersFall off the bone ribs
If you dont try it, youre horribly missing out. Carlos is fantastic!
Food was decent, they had the basketball game, bar tender and other waiter was nice the woman not the case. She was rude, had an attitude. I specifically said I have a food sensitivity to spicy condiments. Told her, asked her if what I ordered had that and she stated no. Food came out and it did, I told her and she said no its not. Second in the middle of the game she gives us the bill without asking if we want more drinks. I pay bill but I do wa t more drinks. She never stopped by the table. It wasnt until I asked for beer at the bar that she stopped by and asked. Last was my credit card went missing. I gave my credit card to a waiter. And I dont know what happened to the communication between them but I wait about 7mins and she returns with the bill for the one beer. I said someone has my card and she says No one has it with an attitude. Another 7 minutes pass and they happened to find my card at the bar. I definitely wont be returning. Its a shame because its a nice spot and the other two guys were nice.
Got 2 rum and punch drinks to go back to our hotel. Friendly staff. It was a drink special for the day. Seven dollars per drink. Good price, tasted good. Not up scale so dont go in thinking that and youll be fine.
Awesome burger & even better Rum Punches
Best place in town for some rock music, great finger food and drinks!
Delicious food, good service, close to the square!
The wings here are excellent! If you’re in the mood grab some! Staff was alsoGreat. Super friendly and fun!
Slow service just for two beers...But the wi-fi was ok.Thanks!
Employees were very nice but its overpriced, limited selections on menu and beverages. Found a hair in my burger but lost it before I could report it.
Ordered a Puerto Rican burrito and they brought out a burrito with just rice, literally just rice and a tortilla. I complained and they said that’s how they make it.
Visited Brickhaus bc of reviews on wings. I ordered quesadillas and cheesesticks for dine in and wings to take back to room with me. Enjoyed my meal outside under the bamboo umbrella. Didnt get wet at all when a rain shower came through. The guy at the door (I didnt get his namewas very friendly and made my dining experience superb. I enjoyed conversing with him while I feasted on THE best quesadillas. The guacamole was so fresh and they quesadillas were cooked to perfection.
Perfect lemon drop shot. Best one of the night
Great mixed drinks made to your custom tastes (we prefer less sweet drinks, so the owner/bartender worked with us to create delicious versions of what we wanted from the menu). They also offer tasty bar food served quicky, great music, great service, TVs inside playing sports games, and clean premises. Mixed drinks on the menu are all around $8, which is very fair for the area, and drinks are of normal strength. We enjoyed sitting at the bar both times, but theres nice outside seating as well. Bartender/owner is a pleasure to chat with and had great recommendations for more formal restaurants. Highly recommend!
The best wings in san juan and didnt have any wings in the whole restaurant
Definitely needs more stars! Great food, great staff! Best experience I’ve had since coming to Puerto Rico
Tourists beware! This restaurant way overcharges for drinks. We went there for dinner and we were told they were "out"of the small drinks and only had the bigger drinks. We ordered food, which was average at best, drank the drinks and the bill came and the drinks were $25 a piece! The fish bowl drink which was more than twice the size was $28! Ridiculous! When we asked about it, we were told we should have asked when we ordered, even though the small drinks were listed as $8 on their website. All in all, not happy with our experience.
Friendliest, funniest bar and wait staff I have ever met. Great English and Spanish speakers, great overall service. Cocktails are amazing, and they have a very good Mai Tai. Food is amazing, it’s normal bar food mainly, but it comes out quick and is very tasty. I spent a week down in the Old San Juan area and we went back there multiple times because of the service. Shoutout to employees JP, Bob, Jimmy, and Bobby!
Best nachos in Puerto Rico !
The wings were awesome and our server Sejay was great.
I had chicken wings and ribs at this place, both supposed to be their best. Unfortunately, both were quite disappointing. I dont recommend either. Additionally, the rest rooms are not clean and there wasnt even any paper towels to dry your hand when you wash your hands. Lastly, the table itself where we were seated was not cleaned. The bad hygiene of the place is quite ironic considering that they will measure your temperature before you enter as part of covid-19 precautions.
Awesome staff drinks and food 😋
This place was definitely a great spot to end my vacation. I wish we wouldve showed up and spent a bit longer here, but i got there a little before closing time. I ordered a beer and then decided to try the Mojito, which was done by JP.....best mojito on the Island hands down, he made it with love and great spirits! Next time im vacationing i know exactly where to head to for some Mojitos! Thank you guys!
Definitely try the Pina Coladas!! They are so damn good!! Me and mu husband went in and decided to both get a medium. Shortly after tasting it we regretted not getting the large. Sooooo good and strong (with alcoholwe recorded our first reaction to tasting it for my YouTube channel. You guys go subscribe to Netalia Gutierrez to check it out for yourself. I would give the Pina colada a 20/10. 🔥🔥 We’re coming back tomorrow 😉
This is a fun bar, the food is good (love their wings & Caesar salad), the Mojitos are yummy & they are always very nice! Do not believe the last review written by a woman named Latisha. I happen to go to this bar when ever Im visiting Puerto Rico and I waswalking by when this tourist caused a scene! It was shocking & Was definitely all her! She & her friend were extremely rude and didnt want to pay for the drinks & food they demanded! They were trying to scam the waitress & owner! Check out her other reviews. She has issues everywhere! Awful!
horrible service police were called because I didnt want whatever they felt like giving me half cup of beans and a whole lot of unnecessary attitude from the waitress then the manager of the establishment threatened me and my friends with jail if we didnt pay. just horrendous
A friend of ours told us about this place when we began visiting Puerto Rico and its now a staple for our family! The service, wings and drinks are all fab!
Brickhaus was a great place to dine at. It was the first restaurant that we stopped at when we got in. The crew was super nice and inviting and the food was just as good. I had the chicken quesadilla and my boyfriend had a New Yorker with fries. Definitely going back ! A must have while in Puerto Rico.
Great experience, everyone who worked there is really nice and had some great stories. Especially Jimmy, he was very helpful and gave us a list of things to do in the area. The food was fast, and honestly one of the best burgers Ive had in my entire life. Drinks are good and they offer outdoor seating which has ocean view, would recommend to anybody in Old San Juan.Se Habla Espanol tambien
This is the place if you are looking for a genuine sports bar! Ive been asking around and I dont know how everybody missed it. This slid under the radar. No vegan options yet except fries, but this has screens and VOLUME for the game. Baseball, football, hockey.... you name it! Deals on brew and mixed drinks too. This is home for sports
Amazing service! Delicious food! Definitely a must visit if your in San Juan. And I want to add Honest. We left a tip in cash n the gentleman caught us before we left to hand it back. Seems the tip had already been added to the bill.
While understanding the fact that the time I went they were understaffed it doesnt excuse the fact that the food is bland and below par servings with a $11 quesadilla being a single folded tortilla with barely any meat and cheese.
Best place to eat and drink in old San Juan. Bar tender/owbet is really friendly and prompt. I ate wings the first time and they were fantastic. Loved it so much I came back at night for the bar. Will be back if I am ever on the island.
Best wings on the island I certainly hope not. They came out cold and soggy these were the worst wings i have had in a while. The service was also terrible felt like we were being ignored while all the tables around us were served promptly. Maybe it was because my family and i are not from Puerto Rico maybe not but thats how it felt.
HORRIBLE SERVICE. me and my friends say down and the waiter/owner with the pig tail was so rude he didn’t even ask what we wanted and sat down as if he was impatient, and asked are you ready yet? Like he sat there super rude so we left without ordering anything. Wouldn’t spend my money here.
Best wings un the whole metropolitan area. Cold beer and great music
The bartender/boss with the pig tale complained about other customer the entire time. The food was nothing special. As Im leaving this review hes now moved on to a customer complaining about the price of his beer compared to everyone elses, and another older gentleman asking for help connecting to the Wi-Fi. His attitude just sucks, dont waste your time. Food took so long
The best hot wings and fries in old San Juan! A must place to eat! Perfect spot if you wanna watch sports.
Last night after failing to find a good place to have a night out, a bartender suggested we come here for food. It was about 11:30 and most places closed or kitchen closed early. We found parking by the pharmacy and walked over after being harassed by what seemed to be a homeless man. We sat outside because inside didnt seem very inviting. I orderd a pulled pork sandwich on hoagie with fries and my boyfriend got a quesadilla. While waiting on our food the same homeless man came to the table beside us and brought them a blender he found, he sat down at a table and watched people eat. Shortly after, our food arrived... the pork had decent flavor, but had tiny hard spots in it, almost like bones which was weird. The "bones" made it hard to enjoy my food because I had to spit it out, meanwhile my boyfriend enjoyed his quesadilla. The food was okay, nothing exciting.
Robert was excellent!Best bartender EVER!Im so glad I came here after spending a week in condado. Ive been missing out . Bartenders in Condado are so BAD . They dont have any personality. They totally should learn from Robert !Definitely coming back !!
Excellent service! Awesome environment. It has a really good location with cruise tourist who want a few drinks under the Old Town atmosphere. A must come visit place of your in Old San Juan.
The place was over priced and not good. We ordered chips and salsa. The chips were soggy and the salsa bowl was half full. Then we ordered wings and our wings came out with no sauce on them but on the side. You only get one cup of ranch/blue cheese per 10 wings and that little cup was half full. Never coming here again
Wings I had my first visit were good... but not good enough to make up for the slow service and high prices. My second visit they said I was not able to order steak because it was still being cooked. Chicken nachos took forever, were extremely disappointing and probably heated in a microwave. Check was $18 for just the nachos and a coke. Lots of better places to go in OSJ!
They said that they could not serve us tap water, served bottle water instead. Charged us $2 a piece. Food was ok at best, they ran out of beer, and when we switched over to drinks, their recommendation tasted like rubbing alcohol. It was advertised as a sports bar but because you have ESPN news on and random stuff on the walls does not make you one. Was not happy at all.
This place looked ify looking in off the street; but Ive got to say the food and drink was great and reasonable. Also the waiter was attentive and let us in on all the specials. Try the ribs! And titos vodka
Good food and atmosphere. The service was a little slow, but there were six of us and it was moderately busy, so cant complain. The waitress remembered our orders to a T despite the fact that a couple of us are picky. The only hiccup came when she tried to double-charge our friend for his bill because he paid in cash and at some point, one of her coworkers must have taken the money without reporting it. We didnt have to pay twice and they were understanding, but its pretty shitty that a coworker would act like that -or- they would try and pull that on foreigners. BUT, that is, Im sure, not a typical experience, and overall, would definitely recommend.
Awesome service! Great food and great experience and location. Friendly staff and great drinks. You have to stop here! Enjoy
