Brick street & Co - Bar in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates
Easily one of the most racist establishments. Hardly anyone dances but honestly cant blame them when the DJ/music sucks so consistantly. All the workers look and act miserable. Their attitudes kill the vibe before you can even hit the dancefloor.
Nice college atmosphere
Gives great concerts. Treats VIP people like they should be treated. Not so good on the mixed drinks .
Got beer spilled on me every minute.
Wont let you in 21 even with a 21 ID, school ID, Vax card, and passport. Even dug out a ZOO MEMBERSHIP with the same name/birthday. I get strict but this seems like a bit much.
Yoooo it was fun. 21+ is $2 entry, 18+ is $11. We got 2 tequila sunrises for I think around $17. Its a sticky wet sweaty hot mess on the dance floor and youre packed in like sardines but the lines were like 10-15 min wait at like 11:30ish so it wasnt crazy bad.
"Where dreams go to die." Is how I described being dragged to this place at the end of the night.
This place is popular, but even as a college student, Im not a huge fan of the crowds and the smell is awful. For some reason, this is the place for college students to be, but I cant stand the wait times for drinks and the atmosphere
Such a fun place to be on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. But jesus christ, PLEASE get new staff. Every time I go, there is an older blond woman with glasses who will, without fail, yell at someone for doing nothing. My interactions and my friends interactions have been absolute nightmares. She is rude, snarky, and straight up vile. The DJs need to be fired. They never play any music that teenagers our age listen to, play god-awful edm remixes where the drop is so awkward. Get someone who isnt some weird frat boy playing his child-hood favorites.More toilet paper in the girls bathroom needs to be available. I have seem women do the nastiest things to wipe. Its sad and gross.
Came down for green beer day with my friends who go to Miami University. They refused to let anyone in whiteout a Miami ID even though COVID is supposedly done now. Pretty pathetic that they won’t let you bring your friends in if you don’t go to Miami.
I dont frequent this establishment, but Im an uber driver & Im constantly picking students up here or dropping them off.
I stood in line for an hour to be told Im to old. Had fun in line though...
Very friendly staff great place for a concert looking forward to possibly making a trip back down there again
Won’t get a dime from me ever. I’m not a guinea pig and not testing to attend anything.
Dont like the new rules... require either proof at least one vaccination shot, a negative test within 72 hours or a positive antibody test for entry.
Great place to visit when you visit your kids at Miami OH!!! People that work here are excellent !!! Fun college bar !!!
Best bar in Oxford, just be prepared to deal with crowds. I’d highly recommend the tropical trashcan, great drink.
Please beware - this place is apparently dangerous based on my daughters experience New Years Eve. I understand it was crowded with multiple floors, packed with people. And she got hit in the head with a bottle - with no idea who or where it came from. The staff took care of her best they could, but she was bleeding and scared to death of what had happened. It sounds like a safety hazard in my opinion. Obviously she and her friends will never go back and hopefully something can be done structurally floor-to-floor to prevent this from happening again to the next student. We also havent heard a peep from anyone in terms of my daughters recovery. Ownership?
Awesome great wait staff with amazing attitudes. Always good at keeping the crowd in check while keeping the drinks flowing. Great job!!
Very fun place but some of the bartenders are very rude. Customer service is mostly not a priority. The employees who are also students are mostly nice but the few bad employees leave a really bad taste in my mouth
Heard I had to experience Brick while I was in town - you must as well. The day vibe is a great place to watch the game with friends, and the night vibe is very lit. More fun than many of the clubs Ive been to on either coast. Try the Trashcan and play Beat the Clock if youre experiencing Brick for the first time.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst place I’ve ever been to. Most of the staff are extremely rude and make you feel unwelcome. My friend and I had told one of the female staff members that the girls restroom was out of toilet paper and she scoffed at us, rolled her eyes and chuckled. How’s that for some service. I waited in the 21 and up line for 40 minutes just to get to the beginning of the line and be told that I need to go to the 18+ line because I didn’t have a Miami Student ID, and that line was about an hour and a half wait. Just went to another bar instead. I always have an issue when I come here, and you can believe I’ll never be back.
Decent place for a concert and reasonably priced drinks. Its terrible while students are in town so check it out during summer months.
Tonight was my first time at brick after 3 years here at miami. The very night i finally decide to give it a try the dj who was so wraped up in his on world that he played but 2 90s song on 90s night. what a waste of time. brick needs to do better with getting djs that know what they are doing. Its the whole point of your job. I dont know why the staff didnt twll him to put something else on because evrybody there looked miserable and like they were trying to make the most of it because they were already out. tonight could have ended on a bang. but an oblivious dj insisted on playing every era except 90s. do better because the sound system is to good there to let it go to waste like that.
Great as a freshman and sophomore. If youre a senior and this is the only place you go... yikes. Expect an hour wait for the bathroom and a 30 minute wait at the bar on Friday/Saturday.
Very recently, I forgot my ID, and (after standing in the cold in the line), I finally got to the front and I realized I didnt have my card. I called my friend to bring it to me, and asked to stand in the entrance/foyer (NOT in the bar itselfbecause I was quite cold. The bouncer wouldnt let me, and I explained that my ID was on the way and I was freezing, so the bouncer called over another employee saying that I was causing problems and refused to leave, and the guy they called over roughly grabbed my shoulder SHOVED me out the door, almost causing me to fall in the street. I used to come here often, but I will NEVER come back after the way they treated me :( SO so rude!
I work for RDI my name is carrie my grandaughter is skylynn but RDI had our christmas party there first time i was ever there very nice place had a blast.
Have you ever wished you could rate a place lower than 1 star? Brick Street will make you wish you could tie bricks to the rating system just so it could sink lower. This is a poor excuse for an Oxford bar or even business in general. They dont support local customers despite being smack in the middle of the town. The only thing in this town that has a worse reputation than Brick Street is its owner. If this bar welcomed its surroundings more, then maybe it would deserve a visit after youve blacked out. I recommend Skippers or 1Up over this bar.
An incredibly close approxiation of Hell on Earth. If you like being sweaty, miserable, and served watered-down drinks at twice the price than this is the bar for you.
Don’t go here if you don’t have a Miami ID. Traveled from UC to visit a friend and couldn’t even get in even though I’m 21. I told the manager and she said “you’re not actually 21” without even looking at my ID. Terrible attitude.
Dont bother going if youre over 23 they dont even want to serve you. Trying to only have a very young atmosphere at this club nobody over traditional college age welcome.
Best place to ever exist!!! Would highly recommend the dance floor especially. Perfect spot for any night of the week or any occasion!
I gave it three stars because the Miami students love it. Its always packed. They cater almost exclusively to MU, though - so if youre not specifically a Miami student dont expect to get in.
Drinks are very expensive. Its usually packed or empty, no in between. The floor is very sticky. Monday and Tuesday there is no cover. Cover on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday is $6 for under and $2 for over.
Worse location EVER. Security had absolutely NO BACKBONE to the drunken idiots there would let them do whatever. Worse system as far as security Ive ever seen at a concert. Get people with some balls to do security and stop letting these spineless college kids do it. If you have a girlfriend, worse place to take her. If they get separated from you staff does not give any cares. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else. The hell with that place.
I went to Miami so I have been many times before. Its a very young crowd and the place is always packed full of drunk people. As an adult I dont recommend it if your a college student you will have a good time
We got there 3hrs before the band started to wait in line for the pit. Right before they opened the doors they just let people in that were just showing up for will call and they opened up doors on the side of the building so people were just walking in, instead of people who waited all day. The main female manager was a real jerk to people! Watched a friend be told they couldnt come in and he wasnt doing anything and other dudes were being real douches and the staff let them through. Ps. Watch your feet in the pit I saw two different dudes piss on the floor!!! Brickstreet sucks!!! 😁
The week before classes called, I tried to call Brick street and email them to see if people over 21 that dont go to Miami Oxford (I go to the University of Cincinnaticould get in. I knew during the school year the answer is no, but this was the week before. I called twice at 9 pm, 10pm, and 11 pm (no one ever answeredand I had sent an email 4 days before that no one replied to. In the end, I showed up at midnight, and needless to say, they started their "only Miami students" policy that night. I told them they should post this on their website or answer their phones so I didnt have to waste my time driving up. The girls working the front desk literally said, "Honestly, the owner makes enough money here anyways so he doesnt care if we answer the phone." Never will I go back to a place that talks to customers like that.
Most egotistical bar. A required cover charge at the door to enter an "exclusive" rats nest of a bar which serves the same skunk beer at the same price as every other bar in the area. The difference is every other bar doesnt make you pay to enter and pay again to drink. Ridiculous nonsense of a policy. Loud, obnoxious, and dirty with frat and sorority losers everywhere. The door is ran by intitled sorority sisters who have never heard the word "no" in their life. Avoid this bar at all costs. Every other bar may card you and give you ludicrous attitude about your bag or purse but atleast you dont have to pay a cover.
Wow! Smelly Bars, young crowd and cheap beer. Had a lot of fun here. Be careful when it snows though. It gets very slippery.
Massive dive bar fit for broke college kids looking for Natty or Beast. The outdoor area has a wonderful painted brick mosaic of profanities written in marker which gives it the sense that it is an extension of a fraternity basement. Bottom line it was an ok place to slam hoons and drink beers... Also, the floor was like walking across fly paper it was so sticky.
Had fun on the dance floor as usual. Make sure to say hi to Will.
I drove 45 minutes from mason to go to meet some friends here and I couldnt even get in because I needed a miami ID but I knew this wasnt the case because my friends who had gotten in already didnt go to Miami and didnt have Miami IDs and told us we could get it. Employees werent very nice about it as well.
One of the more upscale Oxford clubs. Pretty clean with good drinks. Also the dance floor is lit af
Expensive cover, but the best college bar in Oxford. Air conditioning and good DJs come close to making up for expensive drink prices, but the most fun and comfortable college bar experience
Do not go to Brink unless youre ready for an experience.Expect to be: spilled on and touched.Brick only really is there for you when youre trashed and need to dance with somebody. Anybody.
Saw Granger Smith there, the place is perfect for bands. The floor is sticky, but so what. Id go back anytime. Oxford is a great little town.
If youre looking to dance to a DJ, this is probably one of the best in Oxford. They recently added a side bar and expanded the Skybox. Drinks are cheap and fairly strong. Nice side patio for smoking and enjoying the weather.
This place is really bad. Puke all over the bathrooms, terrible food, nasty drinks, and the worst customer service I have ever experienced. There are plenty of other nicer places to go in Oxford. Stay away from this one.
im going to this place tonight and not looking forward to it. I usually have to be wasted off my ass to even bear being within 1 mile of that place. With that being said, I do love me those overpriced Trashcan drinks :)
