Brick House - Kapana in Plovdiv

Dont go there unless you want your experience and mood both ruined. My friends and I, we went there, sat around the table waiting to be served. 10 minutes after waiter arrives and half of our drinks choice from the menu wasnt available. We ordered something else for drinking 4 of us and then waiter said we must order food because this place is not for drinks only! The waiter shared with us that this order comes from the manager/owner, so we asked to speak with him. After the waiter went to address the issue and the problematic table to the manager, the manager started looking at us badly and unwelcoming without even trying to come and speak to us. And forget about resolving the problem. Later, the waiter came and said it was fine to stay, as it wasnt busy, otherwise kicked out... What a joke of a service is that?! If you have to order food too, this etiquette has to be established and you have to keep your customers well informed before being seated on the table and not making your customers feel uncomfortable, unwelcome and treated badly. I would like to thank Brick House - Kapana for teaching me a lesson not to visit such places like them and therefore I dont recommend.

Disgraceful service-arrogant and unfriendly staff; At 11pm, when the restaurant was half empty, they refused to let us have a drink and one of us to have a cheesecake, demanding that everyone needs to order food otherwise they will not serve us…Worse place in Kapana!

The food is very delicious. Its great that the kitchen is open until late in the evening. The staff is very, very polite, helpful and friendly. Definitely recommended!

Kind service and great food

Service was late, the food is overpriced AND processed. They told us we have to pay cash (onlyafter we finished our food, the closest ATM is a 10m walk away

Simple and good food but awful service. They lied about the price of the wine while going flinty on other things claiming at the end "a house error" and strangely asking to pay only by card. Restaurant to be avoided for one of the many other restaurants on the street.

Waited a lot for a pasta, and apparently you serve a latter with a spoon for coffee instead of a straw (They were from carton tho)

Small tiny fitted place. Staff was kinda fine, lady was just trying to be fast, not really giving customer experience. Food was great, italian based, a little more expensive than average, but it was good, portions were not big. The chairs were comfortable👌. We ordered salad with chicken and avocado 🥑🥗 and bruschettes with tomato, mini mozzarella and pesto (5 in a dish for ~10lv, really tasty.

Tagliatele with mushrooms and dried tomatoes - realy good.The design of the location is interesting.

Best wine Zitara is served there.Must try !

Great place to go for lunch! They have a big meat selection on their menu, but there are a couple of vegetarian options available too.

Average dining experience for an above average price. Food was okay, but small portions. Our waiter, despite seeming like a fun person, wasnt very professional. He got some laughs, but also some pretty awkward moments. He chuckled to himself while admitting that the vegetables were from a frozen bag, after repeatedly pressing us on what we thought of our meal. Almost as if he was playing a joke on us, now that I think about it. The location and inherent ambiance from being in Kapana save this place from a 2 star review. I am surprised they have survived in this area with how many other high quality alternatives there are.

The manager-owner and the staff are rude. Poor service, expensive food for quantity. The quality of the food is good. If you do not order food but only for drinking, they make a problem.They do not allow you to sit at a table if there is one chair more than the number of people you have.

Worst place ever! Went there with a couple of friends, the waitress spilled the beer all over me.. she disappeared and they changed our waitress.. did not even give us a discount at the end.

we got told off cuz we didnt order food, although we actually had and were waiting for it... we got guacamole.. it was like the tiniest ever portion for 10lv with np tomato or anything except just 50g avocado cream and the Clever brand tortilla chips 😅😅😅😅

Im pretentious with the desserts but after trying two of them was very impressed. Not that much sweet and intrusive as everywhere else.Nice and friendly team.Sorry forgot to take a picture because everything was delicious and it disappeared fast.

Worst experience ever!!! At one of the busy weekends in the afternoon our family was waiting for a table because booking was not available. After approx. 10 minutes one table got free, it was for 4 people and we were only three.. my wife and our 2 years old daughter. When we approached the table very unpleasant guy with bold head and long beard told us that we cannot sit because the table is for four and we are only three of us. This place is in contrast with the Kapana atmosphere.. very rude staff and obviously not child friendly place.. I would recommend to avoid this place!!

We ordered takeout though a 3rd party. We ordered 2 beef burgers. We have ordered before and they were amazing. Good pattys, well constructed, delucious roasted potatos with herbs. Now they were 2 sad burgers which i had to eat with a fork because they were badly placed in the box itself (although there were sticks insideThe sticks were broken and we actualy though that there werent any and we almost ate them and hurt put mouths. The beef patty was very poor quality beef because there were parts which i could not even chew. There were 2 little pattys instead of 1 big one, which didnt help with the construction of the burger. We also asked if it is possible to get extra potatoes because they were delicious but couldnt find them as add ons to the burger. Thank god that they didnt give us extra because now they are not baked potatoes like before. They are fried chips which were tasteless and full of oil. The potatoes were one of the best parts of the burger and now they just give me stomach pain because of the oil they are soaked in. They also became more expensive which I dont mind but the quality went from 10 to 2.

I do not recommend this place to eat or drink. The glass of beer was dirty, the order was mistaken as well as the bill. Also please do not order the chili sin carne because it is just a potato cut in half with some beans and corn. The rating on google is totally unrealistic, I recommend to find other place to eat. The only plus I found is that you can pay by card ( yes, in 2020 in Plovidv this is not a common thing...)

Was really nice! The food is good, the place is lovely, a lot of people go around, it is in the heart of Kapana. The only waiter did great job of helping everyone and doing it fast.The pasta was amazing, the chilli can be worked on a bit more.

Burgers are delicious. Well cooked, not raw. Nice atmosphere, waitress was very nice and kind.

Great place - amazing food, great atmosphere, quick service. They need to work on their cappuccino making, but apart from that, I would definitely recommend this place and would for sure come back next time Im in Plovdiv.

The food is not the best you can find in Plovdiv. I had some calve, and it was too fatty. The salad was ok.

Really enjoyed the Brick House Salad and the chips that came with the Brick House Burger, we were a little bit disappointed with the actual burger, it seemed more processed than some of the others weve tried locally, still tasted good though and well definitely be back to try some other things from the menu.

Burger with pulled pork was pretty mediocre. Stale bun, a huge one, mostly filled with tomatoes, rather than meat. Even with added egg and bacon, still felt like cheap fast food. Fries a bit undercooked. The pleskavitsa had some weird big chunks in it. Presentation is pretty plain. Their signature salad was good, although overpriced. All in all, the atmosphere inside is good, considering it also a copy paste of the rest of them. Would not really recommend. Also could not pay with card for some reason. Service was good.

An amazing man who does his job very well !!! He welcomed us and was really patient even though we were a group of more than 20 people !The food was very good and he even allows a to pay separately!! 😀

The place looks good, but some items from the menu are missing. The bathroom looks good with bookshelf. Please clean the sink, the hot water must come quicker.

We had a friendly waiter, but the chicken burger and nuggets were raw. Chicken shouldnt be that hard to cook...

Kitchen sucks lol, but some nice beers. It serves Glarus as well. And why would someone eat french fries anywherd anyway. :)

Nice atmosphere, nice service, but the food was not as good as we expected. And the homemade lemonade with fresh peppermint was just a drink with peppermint syrup.

The burgers are definitely overrated, honestly, I don’t understand all the good reviews here. Disappointing place.
