Whitehall Rd, Cleckheaton BD19 6HG, Bradford
Laid-back family pub/restaurant chain serving classic dishes and international favourites.
Well it used to be a great pub but I was took my wife mother father in law for a treat, and was met by a half dressed girl behind the bar both breast exposed and her nipple exposed.. What? My mother in law noticed it but didnt say anything then a young lad at the bar was some much under the influence of drugs he fell off his stool smashed a glass and throw up ill never go again. Ho, the food was OK
Ate here on the evening of 30/09/2022 the award winning pies well below par this evenings visits only redeeming feature the serving staff especially the duty manageress pleasant and efficient sadly let down by the food served.
Been going to the hunsworth for quite some time now usually ok today was shocking booked table we usually have when we got there it wasnt available went for drinks we had various bottles none were opened and glasses werent offered until I asked ordered fish and chips and smothered chicken chips were the cheapest oven chips money could get fish was grey and over cooked same as the chicken sauces came in a small plastic thing come on guys you can do so much better really spoilt my mums 81 birthday
Very friendly. Explained menu. Good food. Early evening meal offer was excellent value
Staff were lovely and the building was nice. Unfortunately the food wasnt the best and theyd ran out of certain ingredients for certain dishes. Prices were fair for the amount of food served.
Loved it.... fab meal polite staff... pulled in with our caravan after a weekend away ... grand daughter (4was hungry pleased we did
Main menu meals between £11 and £15 but also offer menu 2 for £9.49. Dogs not allowed inside but we ate outside. Staff were lovely asking if dog had water and making a few visits outside just to stroke him. Parking free up to 3 hours, input car details on screen entrance. Food was good. Soft drinks a little pricey, coke £3.09 but same most eat out places. Would visit again.
Nice breakfast but was missing a few items, most likely due to supply been messed up by brexit
Very good carvery. First carvery Ive been to where you are told you can go back for more veg. I know you can do this but no other carvery actually tell you.
Delicious 😋 great value for money 💰 all you can eat breakfast, defo go again 👍
Food was beautiful look forward to going back 😋.
Went for breakfast and we were really well looked after. We have four young children and the staff were really accommodating.
Really enjoyed our food and staff was polite and helpful
Called in for a bite to eat and we enjoyed a fabulous meal. Staff were helpful.
Staff were very welcoming and polite. The guy doing the carvery actually asked me how my day was going which was very much a shock to me as usually at other places you might get a smile or a hello but not an actual personal interaction. So well do to that guy, he was also very informative about how the carvery worked really refreshing to see someone so invested in the customers. Food was all cooked to a high standard. If were ever passing that way again well definitely be dropping in for another carvery.
What a lovely first time experience here. The atmosphere was really good. The food was delicious and the staff couldnt have been anymore helpful and friendly. Definitely will return :)
Typical.Brewers Fayer. Good food, good prices and the staff are pleasant and attentive. My wife has to use walking sticks and we were asked if we wanted a table closer to the bar than our reserved table was. Little things like this mean alot to us. Thank you
We booked into the Premier Inn attached to this restaurant, and had breakfast and a couple of meals here. We enjoyed the food so much we returned after we had left the hotel for a meal before a long drive home. With the restaurant being located next to the M62 we will return when we are next in the area
Excellent service from all 4 staff members that we actually interacted with, well informed of the minor menu missing dishes, kind and courteous. Bar service by Nicola (I think that was her name was great and the food was delicious, steak cooked perfectly etcWould certainly recommend a visit
First time breakfastUnfortunately we ordered and received our foodThat’s it the service was very poor no one cam to our table at all to ask if all was ok and when finished no one took our plates away or asked if we wanted anymore. So for what we got I thought it was over priced so will not be going again .As much as you can eat did not apply with us food okSERVICE VERY POOR
We had the carvery today. It was one of the best carvery meals we have eaten at the Hunsworth ...well done and keep.up this standard.
Lovely food, and pleasant friendly staff, i would reccomend it to anyone.
Great pub great pricing especially if you get the 2 for £10 difficult to beat.
The minute you walked in all you could smell was that stale food greasy type smell. It needs a good fumigation so it smells pleasant when you enter. It wasnt very bust and yet there were tables left with glasses and empty packets of crisps etc. Another example of either not enough staff or staff that just dont care about doing their job.
Me, my partner and little boy attended for the first ever time to a Brewers Fayre last week for some diner. We was sat near an elderly couple, who was telling our little boy who is 4 years old to shut up, every time he giggled or laughed (please can I state he was not being naughty in the slightest). I didnt want to make a scene so I spoke with a member of staff (Helenwho moved us and apologised numerous times. The staff then went above and beyond for the rest of our experience, interacting with our little boy, we got free deserts (which we was not expecting in the slightest, but was lovely!and checking everything was okay with our food. I wanted to write the review as you honestly do not get customer service like that any more, they was all so lovely, these members of staff really deserve to be recognised and due to how they treated us we will be definitely returning. I believe there names are Helen&Christin and there was one more lady but we couldnt catch her name before she finished she wore glasses and had short brown curly hair. Thank you again ladies for the amazing customer service!
Lovely staff who always had a smile on their face and did all they could to make our family birthday meal special.
Enjoyed our meal there was 11 of us and no complaints
We had a great meal staff very friendly and good service...we go again soon
Fantastic all you can eat full english £9.50 and all you can eat continental for £7.50 we have been today and had the full english was cooked perfect staff are fantastic looking forward to going again
Excellent food as always. Great staff
Had breakfast here, the staff were really friendly and showed us where everything was, nothing was too much trouble for her.Unlimited cooked breakfast for £9.99 which includes unlimited continental breakfast and unlimited drinks, amazing value were I dont think can be beaten.
This is a wonderful place to go and have food the quality is 2nd to none, the staff are so helpful and friendly and there is ample of choice when ever you go. I have only been for the breakfasts and I must say when you either have it from the buffet where you choose it all yourself or you have it ordered there is always ample for you to enjoy. I have never been for a lunch or an evening meal there but from what I am informed again it is first class. If you love a big belly busting breakfast then this is an absolute must for you there is so much choice you couldn’t complain. Disabled Access is absolutely perfect as there is no steps what so ever to hinder your way into this wonderful restaurant.
Good food, staff are so helpful and friendly
We go to the Hunsworth regularly and it is our favourite restaurant. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is very good . Our favourite dish is the Smothered Chicken. We are also able to use our special offers from our Brewers Fayre card.
Starter and main lovely not waiting long although quite busy. Day spoilt by having to wait 35mins for dessert ordered at same time as the meal. They said they had lost the order!!!!!
Very nice food polite and friendly staff made our visit a pleasure. The blue light card discount also made it a very inexpensively priced meal.
Very good food for a chain restaurant. The staff were excellent. Would recommend highly. We will be back later in the week
First visit to this restaurant. My overall view was it was well worth the visit. Spaced out tables, good hand cleaning facilities give the confidence to enjoy an evening out.Our food was delivered promptly and with a very friendly manner by our waiter. It was enjoyed by all five of our party. All in all a good start to our evening out.
Good place to go with the family, theres a good variety of things on the menu and never had a bad meal here. The restaurant itself is well set out and staff have always been friendly.I think theres a play area out back but never been with young children to know what its like.
We went here for a family meal. My mother booked a table for Saturday afternoon. The table was only booked because when my mother phoned they told her that they had gluten free and vegan options. As it turns out they did not.We were told different "information" by different members of staff. One excuse given was they arent a gluten free restaurant. I was given dozens of sheets of paper of extremely small print writing to try to figure out myself what I could eat. The manager told me I could have chips and salad. The meals that my family order were not enjoyed with quite a bit left on their plates. The staff were extremely rude and didnt seem to know a thing. My partner witnessed another member of staff yelling at the man who brought me the allergy guide because he had not brought me the festive one after I asked for help as I could not find the festive menu in what I had. It was quite uncalled for the employee to be treated like that. The chairs were falling apart. Literally. A few of us had to find chairs that were somewhat sturdy. All in all Id advise to find anywhere else to eat. Just the pure lack of human respect makes it an awful place.
Food was tasty, a lot better than the Brewers Fayre at Salterhebble, Halifax.Portion sizes were great, a few items were missing from my meal but the waiter noticed as he put my plate down on the table and came back with them on a smaller plate immediately - very attentive.
Quality ingredients. All you can eat is offered but when asked how much bacon sausage or eggs would you like? Then the waitress says 2? Makes you not want to ask for more. The whole place is a little stuffy. Also very expensive for just a breakfast.
Clean & modern, nice friendly staff, good range of everyday favourites on menu, nothing innovative especially limited vegetarian options
Fabulous food great staff well organised
The food and drinks here are really good and service is fantastic, but the only thing preventing me from giving them a 5 star review is the fact that whenever I visit, theres always a list of things that they dont have. Its only like half the size of an A5 piece of paper but it can really be annoying because half of the deserts are gone. Other than that, this place is great.
Shocking food, shocking service. Had gammon egg and chips and the food was floating in grease! Daughter had burger but burger was overdone and missed her side off. Really slow service. Had most of kids starters missing and a few mains unavailable Disappointed as use to be amazing place.
Went to this pub for a meal for my husbands birthday. Our daughter and her husband and 4 grandchildren came with us too. We had a lovely meal hot and tasty. The staff couldnt have been any better. Very friendly and helpful. My husband got card and some chocolates for his birthday from the pub. Which was really nice. All in all a very enjoyable time was had by us all. Thanks Hunsworth for everything
Staff are very friendly and welcoming the food was beautiful
Have been here a few times now. Love the place and food. Will definitely be returning again.
Used this place in conjunction with our stay at premmiere inn next door had the breakfast option for about 10 pounds each you get full choice of continental breakfast stuff then you order your full english options ifyou want them.there was yoghurt, cereal, sourdough crumpets, croissants, fruit a d fruit juice, toast ulimited drinks, then on the english break fast was eggs, bacon, hash browns, bubble and squeak(fry up),beans tomatoes regrettably half of one grillled rather than tinned, mushrooms, black pudding, iI thought it would be a buffet for full english and i heard some others say the same but when the lady came to take our order she said order has many of each item has you wasYou just need to front it outWhen bacon and sausage arrived sausages were very nice with herbs in and eveything else was good too
