Frakkastígur 8, 101, 101 Reykjavík, Iceland, Borgarnes
No-nonsense chain bar specialising in the Scottish brewery's craft beers, with regular guest brews.
There are cans, but I don’t see them on menu nor untapp. Foods are sooo good. Buffalo wings with blue cheese sauce very on point. Lamstrami and brisket sammich were very good.
Great beer, good food, nice atmosphere..
Very nice staff offering the tease for different beer.
Brew Dog in Reykjavík had a great, cosy atmosphere with a good selection of beers on tap. We liked the octopus and squid art on the wall too. They’ve got a food menu too that lists a good selection of bar food and based on some of the reviews here, the food at Brew Dog is excellent. Unfortunately, the northern lights at the time distracted us so by the time we entered Brew Dog, their kitchen was already closed. Brew Dog is a fantastic bar in downtown Reykjavík and we look forward to returning to try out their food menu!
Great beer, good food, excellent service
Great lively place with good food and a really decent drink.
10/15/22 first time here: had a local IPA called Noah’s Ark…excellent!
We really liked this place. The food was very good. We liked that when they dropped the beer flights off they went through each one and described the beer and where it was from. We actually preferred this BrewDog over the ones we have been to in the states.
Good location. Great selection of beers. My partner creates his own flight of beer from their menu choices so he could experience four different ones. The atmosphere was great, lively but not loud. Staff were helpful and welcoming. My partner is a big Brewdog fan so this visit was a must.
Amazing place amazing food, the French waitress was so kind, cool and helpfull. The bar an Bioce(if i write it correctwas so kind to help us with the northern lights like he was our friend. This place definately worths the visit with so good people working there ❤️Thank you so much guys!
Great locatiin with a good selection of beers to choose for.
We had great chicken wing, wonderful beer, and the service was easily the best part. Everyone who works at the Brew Dog is so very friendly! Happy we stopped in!
Brewdog was good. Lots of different brews to choose from. Just had one as I was walking to my hotel and had a ways to go.
Great spot. Beer & food 10/10. Only slight downside is that seating is limited. But on a nice day there is outdoor space available.
Crazy selection of beers. Local and not.Quite good pub food:sandwiches, wings etc.
Huge selection of craft beers, despite being a Scottish chain bar. Very chill in the afternoon with people doing work on laptops and families in the bar.Beers are more than average price but this is to be expected for good craft beers and I would put the Jujitsu Gnome that I had, firmly in this category. Delicious.
Food was great. Large selection of alcohol.
Very nice place to have a beer. They have ~20 beers on tap, many of them local - Icelandic. And their sammiches are undescribably good, absolutely fabulous!
Great Atmosphere, great and friendly staff.Had literally one of the best burgers i had in a very long time (Brisketburger). We will sure come again at the end of our trip.(Food is pricey, but thats true everywhere on Iceland)
Outstanding atmosphere, large drink selection, friendly staff, quick service, and exceptional food. I had the chicken and waffle and it was AMAZING! Stop in!
Really appreciated the bartenders suggestions. Very tasty hazy brews on tap
Awesome location for in/outdoor place to enjoy good brews and grub!
Nice spot for beers and food. Im currently pregnant and they had a few great NA options. My husband and I sat and played cards for a bit and I had some French fries. Super yummy and nice cozy spot!
Large choices for beers, vegetarian options with mushrooms cauliflowers. Quick and excellent service in the heart of Reykjavik near the bus stop to go to the Phare at the East edge.
Great place! So many drink options and the staff (as everywhere in Reykjavikwas super friendly!
Cool brewpub. There was only one server working so it took a bit to get our orders in, but they were super friendly and accommodating. The local beers were interesting (Im from northeast USand tasty, and the food was great. We got the Buffalo cauliflower and chicken not-on-a-stick, both highly recommended.
Super friendly and informative staff. Beers were all good that we tried.
Nice place. A bit quiet early on the day....
The only place to buy beer-to-go in Iceland are the Vinbudin (state alcohol stores), and they close at 8pm...except for the brew pubs. This one was CLUTCH for us last night when we needed a late beer after a super long day touring the Southern coast. Walked right in, and though it was slammed, one of the bartenders quickly helped me get my brews and get on my way. And the beer was goooooood. I recommend the punk ale.
Great craft beer place with their own smoker. Food was good, Andre was awesome. Beers were delicious!! They do all you can eat wings on Wednesday after 6. Make sure you book a reservation or you won’t get in.
Great Beer, interesting tasting someked mushroom risotto, medium rare burger with fantastic fries.
Small but perfectly formed brewdog had a lovely relaxed feeling inside with staff who were very attentive and friendly and knowledgeable with some good beer food looked very good well worth a visit .Best brewdog I have ever been in for friendliness and atmosphere which was coming from the three staff members
Ribs were smokey and had a sweet BBQ sauce on them. Third place I have tried ribs in Iceland and best tasting ones I have tried so far. Not over cooked and didnt take much to get off the bone.Brisket sandwich was made of sliced brisket. Nice flavor and good balance between the bread to ingredients ratio. The cookie desert was a little smaller than we expected, but good tasting. Easily enough for two to share, but nothing more.Beer selection is nice with saisons, darks, IPAs, and wit beers. Beers from Iceland and not.
I was expecting something more social. As a solo traveler, I enjoy sitting at the bar. Well, the "bar" had no seating, and I was seated at a back corner table, and no real chance to socialize or even watch the street scene. And the beers were so-so at best.
Great dinner and the house IPA was fantastic!
Awesome find! The only place open by the time we made it to Vik for dinner. Kitchen closed at 10pm, we arrived at 9:45 and they were happy to serve. It was quite busy, still light out-of course, and staff super friendly. Food was amazing and the beer was delicious after a long day of hiking! Staff spoke English and very helpful with suggestions. A sample was provided before we decided from the extensive list of brews to go with our chicken burgers w/ fries.
The beers are fantastical! The food is probably the best food Ive had in iceland so far!
More impressive outside than in, a vast space inside but an impressive church organ. Good idea with coloured string symbolising different aspects of the world and life, which could tie to tree. See photos.
For starters, this is a generous 4 star rating. Beer options were very good (had liquor too). Loud and ver cozy social atmosphere. Service very good. Food was pub focused with limited options. Burgers, wings, brisket and ribs - several variations. Wings were tasty, with a crunchy coating. My brisket sandwich was super tender but too many sauces drowned the thing. Soggy and tough to eat. If you can deal with the mess, you would love this place. Group of 4, all options were tough to eat, as bread/buns could not stand up to the sauce. Easy fix, cut back on sauce. Could be very good. Add a few options and tone down the sauces. Fun place and cool concept.
Great place to try some solid beers. They do flights for a decent price and have a pretty wide spread on the taps. If you want to eat dinner youll need a reservation and if you want drinks at night youll need one as well. We were able to walk-in during the afternoon.
Great place for some awesome tap beers. Bjarni is super knowledgeable about the beers and gunner is just great. Loved it.
The place has a great selection of beers and friendly service. The 3 stars goes to the "hot wings". That was the only food I had. The wings were not hot at all. Hardly any spice at all. The wings were breaded and had a soft sweetish taste. Not really good to be honest. The texture was nice, but the taste is totally off. The price of appx 20 Usd for this taste(lessfood is way off the chart, even in Icelandic standards. I dont know about the other foods, maybe they are better.
Great atmosphere and large selection of beers. Food was delicious!
This place is delicious. I ordered the Rye IPA and the Dry Aged Burger. Both were great. Actually the best meal I had all day.
The service was great. The beer selection was by far the best I have seen in Iceland so far. The burgers were tasty and quick. The lamb burger itself was cooked perfectly. Overall a place I will come back to next time im in Iceland.
Superb beers for sure (I love the Punk IPA). But the food is also amazing, cant recommend enough, I can compare to the Liverpools branch and here is so much better.
Insanely good food. Full menu of beers on tap. Could not pick a better place to unwind after a long day of exploring.I had the chicken and waffles and it may have been the best version I’ve ever had...
Nice place right in the city center! The service was amazing! The options were good! A tad expensive for tourists probably but not so exorbitant prices by Iceland standards.
Beautiful mates! They can give you a full instruction about their beer!About the cost... do not ask about it lol. It is Iceland(near ten pounds-ish cost). You can catch doubled rainbows if you have some lucks 😛
Had heard a lot of good things about this restaurant. Went to their website but no real info about the place unless you register or sign in. Not going to happen. However some friends dragged me along to the place. We ordered Group Menu 1 that consists of some hot wings, burger, fries and kokteilsósa (or so I thought😊.First came the hot wings. These should be demoted immediately to only "wings" as although a bit spicy they are not hot at all... not when it comes to spicyhotness nor are they still hot from cooking. The wings had a sauce possibly made with some Tabasco and Cholula in it but still not hot. However... the wings were really tasty and flavorful 😊Second came the burger and fries. Unfortunately cooked a litle to much but that might be my fault as this was a set menu and I did not ask for it to be less cooked. Burger was really good and the fries to. The fries pack a litle punch for those with very low spicy tolerance (some of my friendsbut I found them to be really tasty. The kokteilsauce is also a litle different from a normal kokteilsóasa but was nice.Lastly we ordered coffee. Big mistake. 😳DO NOT ORDER COFFEE AT THE BREWDOGTook a long time to get, it tastes awful, served luke warm and looks like its served in dirty cups. At least with dry coffee stains outside of cup when served. If this is how BrewDog usually serves coffee they should just stop and say "sorry, we do not offer coffee".Everything had been pretty perfect up to the coffee disaster but that really did some damage to the total experience. That will cost BrewDog one star in the review that othervise would have been a perfect score.
