Bretton Beach Crest in Port Alfred

Lets just say. All this place has going for it is the views. When it comes to the living in the units you have to settle for outdated furniture and linens super strong mold smells and so much more. The units has been updated almost 20 years ago. No wifi is available even though it is advertised. For the amount per night you can definitely find better accommodation elsewhere in Port Alfred.

Worth the visit. Ill definitely come back.

Gary and I have just spent the most divine Easter long weekend away here. Not our first visit and definitely wont be our last. Colin and Lee and amazing hosts who are always available to help if needed.The views from our cottage was stunning and the cottages are always so neat and clean. Thanks once again for having us. Wonderful destination. Accommodation is not luxurious, but its clean, comfortable and everything works! Hosts, Lee and Colin, were helpful and friendly. Stunning views, great access to the beach with a tidal pool in front of the resort. Well definitely go there again!

Bretton Beach is a rare find on the gorgeous Eastern Cape coastline. The cottages are in a thicket less than a two minute walk away from the beach. The rates are affordable and the hosts are wonderful. Accommodation is basic and a bit old but if that doesn’t bother you then you will love it. The bird life around the cottages (and the rest of the areais rich. There is a tidal pool that keeps the children (and husbandsentertained for hours. There is also a gorgeous viewing deck on the property that has a view that stretches down the coastline. Some of the cottages have magnificent sea views but if you have little ones you might need to trade the view for their very own bit of beach sand to play in.

Unique private accommodation with the best beach access you could wish for. Perfect for kids with the snorkelling and fishing in the tidal pool. We’ve stayed at Breton Beach many times and hope to be back soon.

Lovely cottage right by the sea. You have privacy as the cottages are not in the middle of PA, and it feels like you are in a private jungle. All nessecary amenities are provided. Shops and restaurants nearby.

Bretton Beach has the best location in Port Alfred. Its such a home from home that its worth the long trip from the UK to stay there. The cottages are well equipped and the setting is private and peaceful and as close to the beach as you can get. I cant recommend it highly enough

Excellent value for your money. Everything is simple but clean. The sea view we had and the constant sound of the breaking waves were magnificent. Will always be back.

Value for money anywhere in Port Alfred. Nice cottages with excellent views.

Amazing accommodation for the price. Has everything you need. Some of the houses have a beautiful view of the sea. The sea is a short walk away but there is a lot of rocks in the water so if you want to swim you are going to have to walk fairly far.

I am giving one star but it should not even be one star. The place was not clean. Dirt was swept into a corner in the kitchen. The kitchen floor was dirty. The toilette did not flash....disgusting. The shower is so so outdated. The place needs a good make over. Please invest in a proper double bed and a good duvet. The blankets weighs a ton. To sum it up just revamp the place. Reception is to unfriendly defnitely not a peoples person...

What an amazing place to go and relax. The cottages are rustic, but clean, and caters for all your needs. The stillness of the bush around you with the view of the sea, was really good for my soul. Will definitely go back again.

Ons is net terug van n heerlike naweek by Bretton Beach in Port Alfred. Natuurskoon is asemrowend en jy is net n paar tree van die strand. Al die huisies is privaat en het alles wat jy nodig het. Ons sal dit defnitief aan beveel vir enige iemand wat vir n naweek wil weg breek. Sien julle weer een van die dae.

We loved it here. We had a lovely view of the sea from our bedroom. The place is very basic but clean and has everything needed for a weekend away. We were very impressed with the friendly and helpful service of the owners

Every time we stay at Bretton Beach we find it hard to leave, which probably explains why we kept extending our stay. Low key, very comfortable and clean, the cottages are spread out amongst dense milkwood bush so it always feels private but you are only a few steps away from the beach. One of the best places to stay along the Eastern Cape for beach lovers and certainly the best you will find at the price, guaranteed.

Just back from a delightful few days at Bretton Beach!! Cottages have everything you need. The owners are most accommodating when approached about anything and are only too pleased to help out. This is our second stay, windows open listening to the sound of the surf is so relaxing! We love the prolific bird life in the dense dune bush, Knysna Loeries, Southern Bou Bous eating the left over steak stuck to the braai grid, what a treat, you can almost reach out and touch them!!
