Ornate Gothic town hall with marbled lobby, gilded art nouveau chamber & grand cellar restaurant.
flabbergasted
Opening hours (Fri until 14,30, Sat & Sun closeddont make a sence at all. Bremen Rathaus is definitely not friendly to weekend trip visitors.
The Townhall in Bremen is one of the most important gothic buildings in Europe and therefore in the world. It was build 1410 and was added to the UNESCO world heritage list in 2004.In many ways it is a beautiful and fantastic site to explore the history of hanseatic Bremen. Definitley worth to take a tour and learn more about the worldwide influence of the hansa and the rich merchant culture starting in the 1500s.Definitley take your time to look at some architectural details. It has a room made of gold i had the pleasure to see, but it is is closed to visitors unfortunately.
Beautiful city hall however the inside can be only viewed with 7EUR tour, in German only, didnt see any options for English speaking tour so didnt go for it.
Strongly recommended place to visit. Charming old town square.
Best
Beautiful old city hall building with numerous amazing details. Its an example of the Weser Renaissance architecture. Together with the Roland statue is a part of the UNESCO World Herritage. There are some guided tours inside the city hall but I didnt visited them. The city hall is located on the main city square - Marktplatz and its always very crowded. Also, just near the building there is a famous Town Musicians of Bremen sculpture, and from the other side - big gothic Bremen Cathedral.
Exceptionally beautiful area, historic buildings with great history.
Fairy Tale Town Hall. Dont miss the nightlighting.
You have to see this place for sure! I’ve visited early in the morning and it was raining - no tourist at all, best time to see it. Otherwise it is too crowded!
Following the guide, we entered the Hall, which has tall ceilings and is full of daylight. The guide told the relevant history stories. Interesting!
buildings are very unique and impressive.
Beautiful city centre and town hall building.

Beautiful piece of architecture in the heart of city Bremen.
Book a tour here, it is worth it! There is a lot to see and it is great to hear about the history of the city and town hall.
Very beautiful building going back to the 15th century. Unluckily it can only be visited with a guided tour which must be booked through Deutsches Tourismus.
The beautiful Bremen City Hall is the seat of the President of the Senate and Mayor of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen. It is one of the most important examples of Brick Gothic and Weser Renaissance architecture in Europe. Since 1973, it has been a protected historical building. In July 2004, along with the Bremen Roland statue, the building was added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.A mustve seen in Bremen!
Ancient and beautiful with lots of historic architecture.
Located at the market square where youll get to see the St Petris Dom, the Town Musicians and Roland statue within the vicinity.Beautiful Town Hall @ Rathaus.
Wow, what a beautiful building!!! I walk around the building at night, but even in the dark it was impressive! I had never been to Bremen before and was true my impressed by the quality and scale of the architecture in the center of the city. It was well lit and very interesting even at night. Impressively preserved city center and should be a must see if you are in the Bremen area!
This historical town hall is such a good sight. At the time of visit, at night, lights were projected to one side of the building and this light was animated. It was great to watch and many stood by to take videos in amazement. An amazing experience it waa
Highly recommend the tour of the inside. Our English guide (I forget his name but remember that his mother is Turkishwas very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. It was a great way to learn the history of Bremen!
Wonderful memories of this beautiful Hanseatic city. A must visit in autumn, if only for Grüne kohl und Pinkel, the delicious local stew!
This area is the centre place of Bremen, where you will find many buildings & statues of great historical significance. Bremen town hall is a very beautiful building. A must see when you visit Bremen.
Historical buildings with deep culture. We really enjoyed our time in Bremen.
This is a very impressive building has such detailed architecture and is a very nice part of the city .
Guided visitNice architecture from 15th century and still in use today
The Rathaus (Town Hallis the most “shining jewel” of Bremen historical Market Square.Built after Bremen joined the Hanseatic League in Gothic style, the building was later renovated in the so-called Weser Renaissance style. With its magnificent facade, it is said to be one of the finest civic buildings in Germany.
Very beautifull building same as square where its located.
Lovely place to visit.
A very beautiful building in the heart of Bremen. A nice photo object. The Bremer Stadtmusikanten statue outside the town hall is also very popular among the tourist. Earlier we can enter the front side of the building. Theres also a guided tour around the charming rooms. You can see the schedule on their website or on Bremer tourist information website.
Superb architecture in medieval style. The streets, the town hall and the sculpture of four musicians seem like a scene out of a fairy tale
It was absolutely beautiful! This part of Bremen is historical and lovely. Very worth going to see. The history to Bremen is deep and fantastic!
Didnt go inside but 5 stars from the outside. Great gothic architecture and beautiful city centre
A fine building but the visit ruined by nasty unpleasant guides. The interiors are moderately interesting but the outside is excellent. Better to save your €s and enjoy the exterior without paying to be abused by the staff.
beautiful town square, especially during the summer with all the light and cafes
