Good, affordable breakaway. Very nice location, on the river bank. Well equipped kitchen with every piece of cutlery and plates, bowls, pots, mugs, glasses you can dream of in a camping site. Well worth the visit.

Visited in March 2022, stayed at Camp 1 and just loved all of the space, both inside the lapa and outside. Great to have an indoor and outdoor braai option, too. The kitchen was so very well equipped, clean and tidy. Appreciated having the 2 fridges as well as a freezer. A couple of observations for improvement - the basin in one of the cabins does not drain well at all, and the first shower must be blocked as the floor floods badly when showering. The access to the river is steep and can be slippery when wet, so advise caution, especially for small children. Dogs swimming in the river could struggle to get out on their own. Loved the birdlife!

Great for relaxed escape in a beautiful setting right on the Breede river

The cabins are very rustic and simple, but you have a shared living space separately from the cabins that is very well equipped. The location on the river with loads of space outside is just great! Canoes, trampoline, volley ball, swimming, and a lot of wine tasting nearby, so there are enough activities to keep you busy

As a fairly unorganised person I managed to make the booking for Camp 1, it was just a weekend away with 11 of my friends. This place comes with everything you need, just bring yourself and food and bedding and you good to go. They provided everything you need.Absolutely amazing setting with lots of activities, with the camp on the river bank what more can you ask for.I highly recommend this spot to everyone, Id go back in a heartbeat.Beautiful and private. Recommended.

Great fun and a lovely venue but the entire contingent of adults and kids were so badly bitten by sand fleas I suspect we wont go back.

Good for summer bad for winter

This is an amazing venue right on the edge of the breede River. The huts remain cool in the heat of the day and the trees create a canopy in the middle of the huts which makes for a great outdoor seating area during the day.There are two camps here, both are good, the general kitchen and bar area provides a rustic experience with a fridge, chest freezer and indoor braai area.There is ample wood available from the owner, the setting is quite private and secluded, we spent 4 days here with a group of 24 and it was absolutely amazing.

Lovely place for a group. Its on the rustic side but has all the facilities that you need. Its next to a deep hole in the river so theres good swimming all year round. The owners are truly the kindest people. I would recommend this place for everyone.

Excellent campsite on the Breede River just outside Bonnivale . 2 sites consisting each of a Lapa, huts with beds to sleep in. Inside fire place to braai. Fully equipped kitchen with fridges. Inside toilets and showers with hot water. Outside seating area on the river bank with a fire place for when you sit outside at night. Kayaks to go rowing on the river. You can fish in the river. Great camp for groups bonding.
