When my partner became unwell and we had to cancel our booking , a member of staff called us himself to offer us vouchers after I explained the situation. Very polite and thoughtful. Thank you

Be warned if booking on the website! They double booked our slot, which is apparently impossible, but somehow happened to us! We travelled up from Cambridgeshire and had booked this as a special event that we could do as a whole family and were really excited about it. Our slot got double booked, which for some unfathomable reason wasnt highlighted until wed arrived, sat down and were eagerly awaiting entry to the room. Thats when we were informed that someone else has booked the day before we had, for the same slot. Wed booked well over a month ago and had received email confirmation. Although the staff were apologetic, and obviously offered us a refund and free future escape to try to make up for their mistake, the damage was done. We couldnt find any other events we could do that werent already booked up on a Saturday night and had to head back down south the next day feeling dejected and frustrated that the highlight of our weekend away never happened.

We love Breakout!! So many amazing rooms to keep you coming back, weve never had a disappointing one. A special shout out to Bobby who is the most fantastic host. He really brings life to the games and were thrilled when we know hell be running our one. So happy to hear theyre bringing some new games out soon as weve almost completed all the rooms now. If you like escape rooms, you MUST do Breakout!

Fantastic experience with Breakout Manchester. I brought an unorganized group of 30 along to the escape rooms for a work social and the staff were absolutely brilliant at helping sort us out, including getting everyone together for a group photo at the end. Everyone really enjoyed solving the puzzles and trying to escape and there was a great variety of rooms to suit different tastes. Strongly recommend.

Absolutly loved it. We had a great time we did the 2 star difficulty and got out with 30 seconds to go. If your struggling they do offer clues along the way. Also if your scared your stuck in the room you actually arent. There are big green release buttons incase you need to get out at any point. But we were that engrossed in the clues that we werent that bothered about getting out without solving the clues.

Had a great time today playing the Enchanted room (even if we didnt complete it). First escape room experience for my two friends and they both said "we need to do every room they have!" as soon as we left. Our game operator, Alex, was so friendly and explained the rules very clearly. Would definitely come back to play again!

Friendly staff, I got some problems paying online, they handle it politely and satisfied all my needs.Had a great time here, played "Enchanted", we got very useful hints.Both of us are not native English speaker, we were a bit worry about the communication and cultural gap before entering. It is good that we can keep our phone and get immediate translation.The clues are fun with a large variety of lock to open, good experience.

Really well setup escape room, booked a room with my wife as an anniversary date to test the relationship. We didnt escape but we survied it!Clean venue, nice and friendly stafff and well thought out rooms!

We did Enchanted in a pair and had so much fun! The puzzles were very engaging and made us think outside the box. Big thanks to Amik for being our game master and ensuring we had the best experience! 5* 👌

A really good collection of escape rooms with brilliant staff. Just completed the Forsaken room and had a great host with Caitlyn.

Really good experience. First time participating in an escape room and we decided to attempt Forsaken. Unfortunately, we didn’t escape in time but it was really enjoyable, exciting and fun. The puzzles and props were much better than I expected and the atmosphere was really well set. David who was our host was brilliant. Someone I was with jokingly asked him to put on a voice to set the scene when reading the scenario to us but he did this with no hesitation and it really paid off. We were also greeted politely when we arrived. The other staff seemed nice although we didn’t really have much of an interaction with them.Overall it was a great experience and will defo be returning for more.

Excellent place! We went for one of the hardest rooms as we booked last minute and is was very well designed and the clues didnt feel random like they do in some other escape rooms, and we had a lovely host!

We went as a group of 9 and got 3 rooms. None of us got out the rooms but had loads of help from the staff there. Would go again just go I can say I got out the room

Very interesting. Working out puzzles within the 1 hour time slot. Not easy but enjoyable. 8 different choices- I think. Easy to get to

My partner and I were stuck with things to do and ended up booking the Identify room here to cure our boredom. It did just the trick!It was easy to book and reasonably priced. Erin was our host and she was incredibly friendly and very funny. We felt welcomed, safe and definitely immersed in the experience. Waiting area was nice and big!The room itself was medium difficulty with red herrings and a fun murder storyline. We were given a little bit of extra time as good will and encouragement to finish with a "stuck in traffic" joke to ease any stress! My partner and I worked well as a team, enjoyed the puzzles even with our poor maths skills!Recommend and will definitely come back!

Played the Disturbed escape room. First thing we noticed is that we had to take our stuff into the room with us as they had no storage. This was odd. Seemed promising when we entered, however we immediately noticed a broken lock, we reported it and was ignored. We were unsure when or how the lock was meant to be used. The room just felt cheap and lazy, not a lot of effort put in. Many of the puzzles had no correlation to the "story" if you can even call it that. The puzzles seemed random with nothing to indicate that there was a solution. Many of their "red herrings" would have been better solutions that the actual solutions. You were given a object that made sense to use and figure out to only figure out that it had no use at all and the real solution was something so random with no clues pointing towards it. This left us unsatisfied and having to need constant hints, without them it doesnt even seem possible. Will not return.

So after making this booking in goodwill for my wife and party, the day before the member of the group who the booking was made for as a birthday celebration suffered a medical emergency which meant the booking could not be fulfilled, but the attitude of this business is diabolical, no refund policy in circumstances like this shouldn’t even come into it. My family members and myself have been several times before but after this terrible experience never again, I can’t see any justification for not issuing a full refund 🤬“UPDATE” since posting this I have been in contact with a customer service representative from Breakout Manchester who was very understanding and resolved the issue immediately, so I have now adjusted my review rating as a consequence of Breakout Manchester reaching out to me like any good business should and for that I applaud them 👏🏻

Absolute banger of a place! Visited during our trip to England from Canada and this location is high quality. Great room and amazing staff. I cannot recall her name, but the lady who animated our room was very friendly and absolutely hilarious, made our time a million times better.She definitely made our trip much better just by herself. On top of that, the room we did (Reclassified Greenwas very very fun, creative, unique, and the three of us were always busy on something.If you want to do an escape room in Manchester, this is the place. Hard to do better!

Fantastic place! The room provided an excellent challenge with lots of challenging puzzles and a great back story for the setting. It looked amazing as well with good props and furnishings. The staff were also very friendly and worked hard to ensure a great experience. You can see they have great enthusiasm for the games. The venue is also easily accessible in the city centre.

Very fun experience even though my friends and I didnt escape the room, unfortunately the witch got us in the end 😂. Our host Reece was exceptional at his job, he was very fun and easy going and helped out when we were struggling. I definitely recommend going and trying out something different for a fun night out.

Really good option for a team building activity. The room and the story is well thought out and it took us just under the full hour to get out. Would definitely recommend to a group of friends or colleagues for an hour of fun

Really enjoyed the game (enchanted), location is in central Manchester which is ideal. The host, I think it was Bobby, was great. They were fun engaging and kept the game moving if ever we got stuck.

Fantastic experience loads of different puzzles in the room, really well themed/decorated. Expertly briefed and prepared by very friendly staff, overall brilliant all round.

2nd escape room Ive visited and a second win. Not to say this was easy as without some clues at vital times we may not have got out in time. We did the vacancy room and the first part had us stumped for around 15 minutes!! Over thinking was the problem though so dont dwell to long and try another angle. Planning on doing another soon (zombies probablyso will be back.

Absolutely amazing! If u love puzzles and mystery It is a place for u! Its challenging and props are sooo realistic! Im definitely coming back to see other rooms as I only saw murder mystery hotel x

First time going to an escape room. Unfortunately I didnt breakout but I did have a really good time here. Recommend this place for a different put fun activity.

Fantastic hour in the wild West themed room. 2 kids aged 10 and 11 were able to participate fully and loved it. We will be back to try the carnival one next!

Had a brilliant time at breakout Manchester, with my son Martin, who did most of the work. All round a very enjoyable hour. Only flaw was the rooms were too dark. The host was incredible, knew how to present and deliver the brief. Took her time explaining everything so we felt at ease. Asked if we had any questions. The host was very helpful during our investigation.Unfortunately we didnt break out but had a lot of fun!Highly recommend anyone to visit, you will have a great experience all round.

This venue is my favorite of escape rooms. Many people seem to be able to escape, but I found it impossibly hard to even enter. Back in 2014, I found myself in a predicament which the staff were kind enough to sort out for me. I promised a stellar Yelp review, but I am so daft, it took me 7 short-years to do so. And I’m not even doing it on Yelp. I’ll do that next. Escape rooms hadn’t made it across the pond yet and I was just so excited to do one, I booked a room. Unaware of geography, I booked a room in Manchester. I sent the following message to Breakout Manchester shortly after booking what I was sure to be an epic time:I just made a booking for three in the detective room for Thursday, 24th July at 16:00 but failed to realize prior to doing so where exactly Manchester is in relation to London, England. I saw that the directions indicated it was a fifteen minute walk from Oxford train station and confused that for Oxford tube stop. Geography was never my greatest subject in school and Im a silly American who just now realizes that I couldnt possibly make it to Manchester for the booking I foolishly made with your organization. I am writing to plead with you for mercy in my request to have the booking refunded. The error was viciously mine, but the good will is yours for the taking if you would honor my request.They refunded my ticket in exchange for my permission to publicly shame me, which they did in the friendliest way, and I definitely deserved it.I think of them often and will one day journey to Manchester just to try to break out of a room I wasn’t even smart enough to enter.

Went to breakout with my friend for my birthday as we love escape rooms. We were very impressed with the safety measures in place. Bobby was running our game, and has previously done so as well, and he is nothing short of amazing. Made conversation with us, personalised the back story of the room to me and my friend and my birthday. Truly went the extra mile to make it an amazing birthday experience. Thank you Bobby

Great fun for a work night out! Puzzles were challenging but never felt obscure. Once youve solved them its a sense of achievement. The staff were brilliant too, leaving us to ourselves mostly but the odd hint here and there. Definitely recommend it.

Awesome experience, staff were great. Ellie really got into the story before we went into the escape room and had a good chat with us. We did the enchanted room for my girlfriends birthday and it was just the two of us. Had a great time, the room was ace, really well decorated and lots of fun puzzles to solve. We broke out with 4 seconds to spare and Ellie gave us a few helpful riddle clues when we were a bit confused. Overall a fab escape room experience, will definitely go again and would recommend!

The staff were absolutely awesome. The facility the escape rooms were in is just fantastic. A lot of them take place underground which gives it an extra creepy vibe. I did the saw type one with my family and the emersion was amazing. The rooms were well designed with challenging puzzles and the general appearance of the room was amazing. It was dark, creepy and exciting. Definitely 5 stars and I do recommend.

Had a fun time trying to figure out the answers and clues. I think for our particular game identity its best to have 3 or more people. Would like come back and try an easier one as we didnt manage to break out!

great team game breakout of a room game. really loved this . we were 2 doctors and 2 nurses .all a bit older ! we were a bit apprenhensive as to whether it was really pur thing . the staff made us very welcome and said we were the best team ever . well i guess they say that to everyone . well worth the money .
