Snug, colourful cafe with stripped floorboards, for breakfasts, juices and classic Brazilian dishes.
I used to get pastel de quejo delivered and it was really really good... But they raised the price from £5.80 to £8.50 (each), which i think its really cheeky. Im very disappointed since its just fried cheese and flour.Wont be buying any more pastel de quejo here.
Love this spot, such a cool interior and great food 😊
Worst service ever in a restaurantRude and nonprofessional staff everFood took forever and small portions for the price.Avoid!!!!
Very lovely and cozy place with friendly staff very good food fresh and amazing
Highly recommend it; the service and food are outstanding!!! My compliment to the waitress was very helpful and to the kitchen staff that prepared fantastic Brazilian food. The facilities were well tidy, clean and organised. Its an excellent place to take a family or group to enjoy the best of Brazilian cuisine.
Really liked the food here. Good value for money, some great tastes and beer was good. Also the staff were super friendly.
The food is ok but it is so overpriced sadly. The feijoada is £20 and it’s tiny compared to a traditional Brazilian one. Same goes for the pastel, actually a street snack but madly overpriced at £9! Shame as I used to like the place but not really worth it now.
I just stopped for tapas and a smoothie - all was freshly made and delicious. Service charming too.
Steak is delicious 😋
This place is ridiculous for what it is!!Sweet potato fries is £8 insane , and small portions…Our the potato’s flown in from Brazil 🤦🏽♂️Drinks average at best …Service charge was insane for hardly doing anything(£4)!! Go to the Mexican next door!! Which we did …👍🏽value and better cocktails!
I love this place, both as a bar and restaurant. The decor is unique and interesting, and the small number of tables outside are a good spot for watching the world go by. The staff are all super friendly and couldn’t be more proactive and helpful with ordering and explaining the menu, recommending items etc. The range of drinks, especially beer, isn’t the best, but at least the prices are reasonable. The food is where the place really excels - the tapas range is extensive and every dish I’ve ever had is super tasty and well cooked. Service is fast, presentation good and the portion sizes aren’t scrimped on. Its hard holding back from ordering dish after dish! The single toilet is underground and a bit of a squeeze, which is in keeping with the whole place which isn’t overly big, but for it’s size there’s a great atmosphere and I can’t recommend highly enough!
Just wanted to let you know that Brazilian Gourmet is a gem.Fantastic food. Amazing service. Great value. Dont hesitate to go!!
Very good brazilian food, staff very welcome ,good service and nice place.
Great food, excellent and friendly service. We had pasteis and coxinhas and it was flawless!
Skewed review since Im a vegetarian and theres not a tonne of options. Fejuada was nice, however the cassava croquettes were okayish. Do try the guranya flavoured soft drink,it was refreshing
Such a lovely atmosphere and so sweetly decorated. We had the nicest caipirinha and the owner really made us feel welcome. Will definitely be going back !
The staff is very friendly and the "pastel" is amazing. I really liked the taste.the ambience is very nice. The food is a bit pricey as the drinks. If it wasnt for the high price, I would come back more times.Good food, definitely!
Firstly, they charge service fee without even ask. Secondly, I ordered an Acai bowl that supposed to have banana AND strawberries as it is written over the menu, however, it came with banana only. When I reported about the strawberries, the waiter said it goes with banana OR Strawberries only, which is not matching with the menu description. Even though, I asked him one more time to bring them over and then he refused by saying that they would not fit in the bowl. Apart from these, the feijoada, coxinha, tapioca and pao de queijo are good!
Brazilian food might not be for everyone (some said that it might be a bit too salty). But I think the restaurant did a very good job. The decorations are lovely with clustered lights and comic books (the owner must be a big fan of comics). The food is amazing. We had the avocado salad, the beef stew (which is traditionaland the pizza (its not normal pizza though). The stew is a bit salty but I think its the way it is. You only need to order a bit more rice to go with it.
Lovely little location. Cosy and charming. We got a sweet pastel with banana and cinnamon. It was delicious. Great place for a date or to take friends.
Dropped in here during an evening out. Its a really nice place.Small and cozy place, great food, nice atmosphere and good background music.
Was passing through and decided to pop in and try a quick bite to eat.Food was excellent and drinks too. Beef croquettes I could eat every day. Staff very nice and helpful explaining the traditional dishes.Highly recommend if you live near by as prices are very reasonable.
The owners are super friendly, specially if you are brazilian. The food is great, but not outstanding. The price is also a bit high, but nothing different than what you pay in that region.Their picanha grelhada is a safe and right choice. I ate it a few times and were consistently good. One more dish that is a must are their pastels, specially the chicken with cheese one. Absolutely a must try!
Really friendly staff and the food was delicious. Extra star for how they treated my dog.If you like Brazilian food this is the place.
Had an amazing selection of delicious Brazilian pastries and small dishes when I visited here. Its a little cramped inside, but comfortable and very tasty. I started stopping by just for pao do queijo on my way home from work!
What a lovely little restaurant! The atmosphere is cozy, feels a lot like home. A lot of small touches in the decoration that are well thought of. And yes - the food was good too!
On an A-Z tour of London, we stopped by for some Brazilian fare. Boy oh boy! What a sweet treat, beautiful little joint, twinkling lights, jolly waiters, shining caipirinhas and vegan options. Todos muito BOM!!
Okay so its the second time Ive been here so I feel Ive given them a good go. First I must mention they had a big party in but I did ask them if wed be better off going somewhere else. First we got moved to make more room for the party, this is fine but we still couldnt order a drink or food even after sitting 10mins in one seat then be moved and made to wait even longer. The food was fine but £7 for deep fried balls feel steep but maybe I was grumpy from the wait. Then we were asked to share our table with another group, this is fine on its own but I must admit I expected some recognition of our constant shuffling but at the end they didnt even realize we were two separate groups. I reckon youll have more luck after December.
Amazing food, environment and staff!
I really liked the place. It doesnt have much of Brazilian decoration I think (it could have been an English place for example), but it looked nice and the dishes are Brazilian of course. And they are delicious. I ate a sandwich with picanha (rump cap/sirloin capwhich was great. And the beijinhos and brigadeiros (Brazilian sweetswere awesome as well.
I’ve been to this restaurant last year. I even left a very nice review since I was really impressed with the service and the food.I’ve been there today again hoping things would be nice as last time. The quality has dropped dramatically.I have paid way more than I used to pay. A portion of 4 small Coxinhas for 9£ is really abusive. The food wasn’t as good as before and the place is empty. It’s a shame with such a nice decoration. There was only one waiter and only one more client after myself but she seemed to be interested in talking to a friend of hers that was in the restaurant and I decided to go without ordering a desert. Thank god i didn’t ordered I wonder how much more would it cost me.Making a long story short. For the price I have paid there I could go to Preto and eat 2 times on a Rodízio with as much meat and food I wanted.Sorry guys but this time it wasn’t very nice.
Amazing experience there!Let’s start from the time that we arrived! The decor is simply lovely, attention to the details! Music played there really pleasant.Service: the girl with lond hair always with a smile on her face, very helpful and kind.Food is brilliant just like back home! We had few tapas and picanha grelhada, my friends from a different countries tried the food and loved do much!I highly recommend this place!
Brazilian restaurant near work, lunchtime is always very busy. Seating is tighter after the recent refurbishment, but the food is as good as ever. The lunch menu is varied and you can choose from four mains and two from four sides. I asked for a little bit each of the meat and fish mains with beans and salad (see photo.Very yummy and makes for a great lunch with colleagues.
Really good and home made Brazilian food. The pastel is a must try and also the juices!
Had a birthday surprise dinner for my husband here. Great, hot and tasty good. Having lived in Brazil myself for a number of years, it was nice to enjoy some great grub that reminded me of my days there. Plus they were very accommodating by serving a birthday cake that I had brought from outside. If you’re looking for a place that’s serves great Brazilian food at an affordable price in London, here’s the place.
A wonderful, authentic and friendly Brazilian restaurant, tucked away just a short walk from Central London.Often overlooked and under promoted, Brazilian cuisine features some delicious rustic savoury dishes. We had a 2 course meal for lunch, which left us very full, happy and reminiscing about holidays to Brazil. We started with a bowl of Mandioca to share, a native root vegetable that is deep fried in oil and served with chilli sauce. Similar to chunky potato chips, Mandioca is a novel and tasty alternative. We ordered Picanha Grelhada for our main, a grilled sirloin steak served with salad, farofa and the essential rice/beans. The steak (mediumwas cooked perfectly and the whole dish was delicious and authentic. In a surprising (but welcometurn, we had two medium sized steaks per plate. The service was excellent, catering for an allergy with care and attention. Thoroughly recommend the short walk to this little gem to try something different from the usual restaurants.
Absolutely great experience. Being from Brazil myself, I was already craving some real authentic food when passing by London. I searched up Brazilian places and Brazilian gourmet came up. We went the same night, and I was surprised on how tasteful the food was and how comforting the place was inside. It is located more on the outside of London, but once you’re there, it’s a real gem. The owner was very nice to me and my mother. I ordered a pastel and we got some rice, beans and steak. Great experience and this place is a must try!
Awesome food. Good music and very beautiful interior. I really.liked the simplicity of the place and food. People are very nice and polite. They have pretty good music. Plenty of option for salads and sandwiches. They have their specials as well .Will visit again.
One of my favourite cafes for breakfast =Lovely classical ambience too!
Really lovely and cozy small Brazilian place with some delicious tapas and other snack.Really enjoyed having multiple amazing croquettes here - definitely going here again.
Great service, main courses far inferior to tapas menu. Lots of fat on the beef steaks. Lovely gluten free breads to start. Excellent waiting staff but menu needs to be more consistent in quality.
I particularly love this place. Its my go to for a good chilled and cozy vibe with bites inspired by the exotic country of Brazil, plus natural fresh juices and smoothies. You can seat outside in the sun or inside in the lovely cottage-like feel. The service is on point and very friendly. And its in the perfect area to feel like you can hide from the noise of the city for a bit!
Centrally located family run Brazilian restaurant serving authentic food, with a funky vibe and miles better than the Brazilian-themed chains on the high street.
Tasty food, cozy atmosphere. Great for lunch.
Very cozy and friendly atmosphere. The background music really makes the perfect lunch environment. Delicious Brazilian food with quite few options on the menu (eat in and take out). Very friendly staff.
Traditional Brazilian in a quaint space. Tasty food that felt like home cooking and lovely friendly service.
This place is so stylish and yummy and surprisingly quiet. We had a team night out starting here and everyone had caipirinhas, shared brazilian tapas and wonderful portuguese red wine. Highly recommend.
Very friendly little place. Seven traditional Brazilian food. We had to wait a little for the food but they give us a couple of complimentary cheese bread. Which actually was excellent, a cheesy/doughy texture served warm .they are delicious. Very generous portions and reasonably priced. Great for a change.
Let me start with the positives: the food was nice and, based on all the good reviews, I hope we just happened to catch it on a not-so-great day. As per rule, Brazilian restaurants in London are far from cheap and this one is no exception, but the portions are very reasonably sized. Unless youre absolutely starving, ordering a couple of starters and one main course to share should suffice. Now lets talk service: the waitress was very nice and helpful... if you could get her attention. She was the ONLY person serving the entire restaurant and that was simply not enough. Obviously service was slow and you could actually hear your order being passed on even 5 minutes after you had actually made it.We ordered one of the specials and incredible 15 MINUTES LATER were informed that they had ran out! At that point we were already expecting the food to hit the table. And to make it even more amusing, we were charged for the dish that never came, on a bill that alone took another century to reach us.Just before leaving, I tried to have a nice chat to the waitress regarding her solo endeavour, to which she replied "No, its fine. I can handle it." Well, considering that was the slowest service we had experienced in a long while, she very obviously couldnt. At this point I was still thinking that maybe we would come back and try another day, but as I headed to the door and thanked her, I still had to hear "Yeah, unfortunately we cant please everyone", nailing the coffin shut.I will not be back, but sincerely wish better luck on your journey to Brazilian Gourmet.
Friendly staff. Small, quiet pleasant with a great selection of food, all very tasty.
