Brasserie Montbenon, whether you live in Lausanne or youre just visiting, Montbenon is a must visit. The food is great, the service is smooth and welcoming and youll get a very nice view on top of all that. Just make sure to book a table because Im not the only one who likes this place 😀

The 5 star service and the fresh orange juice and rosé are very good. Food is also highly recommended. Stunning view is priceless. Must come again.❤️❤️❤️

Fantastic view and ambience. Had lunch w friends - salmon tartare, asparagus salad, ravioli, tarts of strawberry and lemon and rhubarb crumble. All yummy!

Either they dont like their job, or they are heavily underpaid, which leads to the same result.

This staff... are these professionals ?... The only comparable thing I can remember was the military cantina in Bosnia during the war.

Been there roughly 10 times. Not bad at all, particularly their famous "cordon bleu" and the view on lake and alps. Nevertheless I dont think they justify the excessive hype around this restaurant, leading to the almost-impossibility to find a place on Saturdays and holidays, and the well above average prices.Overall, its okay. Service is fine, a bit too informal with customers, but polite. Will return here, partiularly to impress friends and colleagues with the beautiful view and location, with reasonably good food.

It seems like only rich people (or at least rich lookingare being welcomed here.We had to ask 3 times for a seat despite being almost the only customers. We even had to remind the service personel to hand out menu cards. They were unfriendly and arrogant.

We had an emergency back home half way throughout our meal. The waiters and kitchen staff were incredibly kind and went out of their way to help us, and even welcomed us back later on in the evening.Incredible service, food, and would happily recommend this restaurant.

Absolutely delicious meal - went classic with roasted marrow and the cordon Bleu. Both executed very well. Staff was very friendly, and kind enough to switch to English for me.

Average prices. Indoor and outdoor sitting. The terrace has a great view over the lake. Make sure you book a table in advance. Ok service.

Good food, but extra slow service. It took us almost 3.5 hours to get through the whole meal. We had to wait 1+ hour for every single dish, and to get the bill.

Best reastaurant in Lausanne so far! The food quality is really high and the prices are affordable, even though its a bit more expensive than the usual, but all worth the quality. The terrace is really nice with the lake view! Even when its raining the tables are properly covered. Will come back for sure!

Nice service, they pay attention on allergens- I got a gluten free bread next to my starter. They always have seasonal menu available.

visit : friday lunchexcellent spot for a lunch outside OR inside. For out surprise visit we were able to enjoy a 31c temperature - thus perfectly matching the salmon tartare and glass of sauvignon.salmon tartare was very well presented and of good quality - as photo we had the half size portion and for our lite/small eating it was more than ample.service was exceptionally friendly and helpful - including recommendations of certain special itemsoutside setting really is fantastic - and with the covid spacing very relaxinghighly recommend!

Enjoy the atmosphere here and the food is always well prepared and delicious. My sister and I were sitted right away, lovely setting for a special lunch. Nice value for money, our new regular place for supper. Eaten here loads of time, waiters usually outstanding and no issues about the food. The personnel were definitely immaculately dressed and it was very clear they knew their job well.

This restaurant is centrally located and offers fantastically fresh food. You have a great view of the lake and the service is great, will definitely return soon.

For Thanksgiving lunch with fellow MIT alumni. Nice view but otherwise mediocre. Selected soup instead of salad and was served salad. Main course placed on table without silverware. Turkey was tasteless, tough, probably factory bred thick white breast. Definitely not Swiss quality food but definitely Swiss price at CHF 45. Dont recommend.

Nice place but bad staff.Evening ruined since staff was extremely inattentive. Placing the order, asking for the bill, and paying the bill needed extensive tries (plus remindersto catch a waiters attention. Everything took too long and was hence annoying. Too expensive for such a lousy service.

Went here with a group of friends. We get there and already, bad service; the waiters ignore us, then tell us to sit down on a DIRTY table, and never get our order. My friend then goes to the bar to get our VERY EXPENSIVE drinks, and has to get them to our table by herself; no effort made by the waiters. Very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend this place.

Great place with great food, service and outside terrace with a view. Been here a handful of times now over the years and its consistently good. Great service and dedicated staff. One of the best in the area. Parking also close.Overall, great value.

Almost a 5 star... missing the service on busy timesWeve visited this brasserie more than half a dozen of times after its renovation in 2015.What a discovery... great food (I particularly love their saladine foie gras, the cordon bleu poulet fermier and the café gourmand which is crazily decadent), incredible views, lively atmosphere, and pretty nice waiting staff which is unfortunately not easy to find in Switzerland.The only caveat is that they dont have enough serving staff/they are not experienced enough so in busy times (sunny Friday after work, holidaysyou would wait quite a lot and they would tend to forget small things. Otherwise it would merit 5 stars for me.Price/Quality is good for Switzerland. Anywhere else it would be ridiculously expensive (135CHF for 1 starter, 2 mains, 1 dessert, 2 beers, 3 glasses of red wine)

A great restaurant located in the city center of Lausanne inside a great parc.The terrace is big, south facing and has and amazing panoramic view on the lake from above.Inside, the rotonde ceiling ia particulary high and gives a great and elegant atmosphere.The service ia usually fast and very professional.The open kitchen offers you a great view on the cooks working inside.My advice is to book in advance or at least call before. You have anyway a dozen of non bookable tables that you could get without reservation, just by waiting your turn with a glass of wine.

Delicious food and stunning views over the lake. This is the perfect place to have a meal or enjoy some drinks. Vegetarian friendly!

No English menu but tasty food and beautiful location. I arrived at 8pm on a weekday, had to walk all the way inside into the end of the place to get a sitting from the host (no computer up front). They had no menu in English, the service was slow and waiters were always running and very busy so didnt have time to explain the menu (had to use google translate).

A typical example of how a classic, elegant place evolves to become the popular, trendy place where people want to meet for a drink or an easy meal. Its located some 10 minutes from St. François and Flon, in the old but beautiful building shared by the Casino and the Cinémathèque. Nice spread of tables on both the ground floor, around the bar and on the 1st floor, with tall windows overlooking the park and the lake with the Alps in the background. Remains a Brasserie, so the casual to smart casual is generally accepted. The staff is busy and youll have to catch them, but theyre attentive and respectful. The order came fast (we were there for a burger weekend party), food was good without being too complicated. Deserts are good, the all chocolate cake and a glass of desert wine were just wonderful. Prices are mid range. Book in advance, especially if you want to book for more than 4.
