Brasserie Kazan - Kosher restaurant in Ra'anana, Israel
We went for a meal in this restaurant. It was Election day in Israel. The place was full at lunchtime. The atmosphere was electric. Their menu offers many dishes plus specials of the day.The food is superbly cooked and tastes delicious.Service was wonderful. The staff were very helpful and polite. Made you feel very welcome. We were able to sit outside, in the glorious warm sunshine, on a November day. Definitely recommended .
Good place in Raanana. Can choose outside or inside.
Great place but I don’t eat everything as it’s not mehadrin
Best hamburger Ive ever had. Order the kazan burger
Great service and great food.
The vibe and surrounding is really nice, good customer service. Wasnt crazy about the food. Very hard time to find parking.
expensive but great steak. decent wine list. (for israel standards)
Food and service was good, but the place was noisy and crowded.
I have no words to explain what great food we ate there. The place is beautiful, the service is fantastic and the FOOD WOWOne of the best kosher Restaurants in Israel!!!We came specifically from Jerusalem and it was worth it..well sure come back
Delicious food and top quality service. Strictly kosher. Prime rib was cooked perfectly and was quite tasty. Restaurant is quite pricey but great for a special treat. Diverse, high quality wine list featuring some of Israels better wines. Nice range of appetizers including beef carpaccio and Moroccan cigars stuffed with lamb or vegetarian. Delicious high quality burgers and a range of chicken and steak dishes. Some vegetarian options. Indoor and outdoor seating. Worth the drive to Raanana for those who dont live here ..
Very Good food. Pricey but worth it
Quality has a price. The place is not cheap but I never regret my money. The prime rib is just unique (in kosher restaurant, I cant speak for non kosher)
Food was ok, service excellent, but the music was so loud we had difficulty to engage in conversation... 5 peopme in a table!!!
Its a shame that the service is so bad. Ive been here twice and both times the food was good and the service horrendous. Our waiter showed no emotion, didnt crack a smile or even seem happy at any point. He dropped cutlery on the table multiple times and didnt apologize once. He brought us the wrong dishes and argued that it was our mistake, offering no apologies throughout. When we asked if we can order drinks and have them come out with the food we were simply told "no".When we asked which, if any, bottles of whiskey can be ordered, we unknowingly started a 15 minute ordeal where the waiter came back 4 times and at no point had a full answer to give us...To "make up" for some of our experience, we were served some watermelon. When the bill came, of course the watermelon wasnt comped...Disappointing throughout.
The food and drinks here were great. It’s really sad that as an experience the restaurant totally failed to deliver. Our waiter was completely apathetic. He wouldn’t even look at us while talking, and couldn’t properly answer our questions.During our meal he cleared dishes we weren’t through with yet, never once checking if we were done with them before clearing the plate. I ordered the Sirloin steak (212NISand the waiter swapped out what comes with the dish, for what he asked me I wanted as a side. As if I wouldn’t notice, what a joke. We got wrong dishes sent our way numerous times, he then argued with us trying to persuade us that we in-fact did order the dishes we clearly didn’t. At this point we felt like we were being pranked. We wanted to time our drinks to arrive with our main dishes, but that was too much for him to handle. He just wouldn’t let us have our way!! As a bonus, our waiter dropped our cutlery over and over again. Once directly on to my plate as I was eating, and the next time directly on to my back staining my sweater. Overall EASILY a “One and done” experience with Kazan.(Photo attached of my newly stained sweater)
Wonderful little brasserie which is both kosher and has a wide selection of options all of them were really tasty.
Clean, tidy, tasty, fast there is not much to add.
Excelent place! Great food! Had one of my best burgers ever!!!!
Amazing place. One of the best steaks I have ever had. 40 day aged prime cooked to perfection, the fat was like butter. Professional services and tidy. Will certainly be coming back!
Food was tasty, but highly overpriced. There was no desserts’ menu, so the description of the desserts as well as the price were missing. We were surprised to find out that a non-dairy dessert is priced at NIS 60.Bartender was tired, apathetic and lackluster. No smile, no eye contact. We left 10 percent only because of social norms, the service was missing.
Nice, noisy place. Because of loud music you cant manage a conversation without speaking up.
High quality meat restaurant (expensive)The Food and service is amazing.
Very good steak, kosher restaurant, very expensive.
Amazing!! Everything tasted so good. The cigars with lamb were delicious as was the other starters. Main course, the chicken salad was so delicious, shame they didnt have avocado, but they replaced with mushrooms. The quinoa salad was so yummy as was the tomato salad. Schnitzel was massive, loved the fried onions on the mash potato. Only criticism was food came out too quickly and the waiters/waitress didnt let me finish my starters, they just took the plates away whist I was still eating as the main course came out so quick
Grate Kosher food. Good cocktails. The only complaint I have was seating so close to the noisy street.
I came here with a friend for a glass of wine and we had a good time. Ill come back for a meal and update the review accordingly.
Very good atmosphere. Staff is very attentive and polite. The prime rib is to die for , its so good. If you like to be treated like royalty, this is the place.
Food is fresh but very pricey for the size of portions.Service was good.Music was extremely loud and kept getting louder despite our request to lower.Lights were on dimmer, darker and darker. Makes it dangerous to eat fish. High risk of choking on bones!Cant recommend the place for a family
This restaurant deserves 5 stars in quality and taste of food as well as incredible service! We came to this restaurant on our last night in Israel and it did not disappoint!! We ordered two mains- beef fillet with fois gras and portobello sandwich. Both were delish, cooked to perfection and played beautifully! The staff were organized and friendly and they frequently came by the table asking if you need anything. They gave us a free appetizer of beef carpaccio and a dessert to try- these were SO tasty and it was very thoughtful of them! The ambiance of the restaurant was awesome too! For the service and food you get here, it is very well priced. Definitely highly recommend for a special evening/lunch out!
Fabulous tasty meal served beautifully by very attentive waiters
I had a very nice business lunch, with a first course of chopped liver. It came with slices of very crunchy dark bread with nuts, which I really liked. The main course was their high end burger with a sunny side up egg and fries. This was tasty, but on the whole overpriced. The service good, fast and considerate. They didnt hurry me along, but they were there when I wanted them. The business lunch came to almost 140 shekels for just myself, including tip. I think thats a very high prices for a business lunch.
Kosher meat can be really good !We visited here with local friends and had a delicious meal. Meat superb quality, expertly cooked with lovely side dishes. The place was packed so booking a good ideaWorth a visit!
The place is nice, the dishes are very good although on the higher end of the price range. The service is not very good as you have to always look around for a waiter and when you find one you have to actually raise your voice and call one. This cheapens the place and experience. In spite of the very good food dont expect a 5 star service. This is just a shame as it seems the managers miss these issues.
Their Kazan burger is probably one of the best hamburgers in Israel. This is a very nice restaurant, open kitchen, friendly staff, great atmosphere and food!
The food was just amazing (from the appetizers to the salads and the steaks). Really great wine selections. Service was great as well. All around, a true five star experience.
Way over priced - unjustified. Toddlers plain kosher for Passover pasta cost over 50 shekels and we were told that they are out of tomato sauce to go with it so we were given ketchup instead. No logical reason why it should cost so much.
Super nice BarmenClean and tasty 😋
Just had a delicious meal at Kazan. Salmon Tatar, seared tuna, goose liver and a 60 day aged steak.
Good service, pricey, and kosher. The house wine was great, the desert was plain, and the liver dish was good.
We started with a special appetizer with fresh tuna fish and vegetables. It was tasty and interesting (unconventional dish. For main dish, we took 750gr entrecote for two person. The meat was delicious and prepared with care. We enjoyed from the food. They had special dishes that were not in the menu - so you should ask the waitress to tell you what daily specials do they have. The waitress was helpful, the whole service was very good. We also got a desert on the house.
I have a very mixed review, which is unfortunate for such a gorgeous setting. I had a reservation here for a family member’s birthday. We were a table of 6.Food: The food was actually excellent. I’m generally someone who has a problem with chefs under seasoning food so I add a lot of salt and it was the first time in a long while that I thought food was perfectly seasoned. Everything was cooked perfectly. Each of us had a very different entree and all the feedback was great.Service: This was the problem. The service was very slow and confusing. There were about 5 different waiters coming up to the table so we weren’t sure which one was actually supposed to be our server. Asking for anything as little as a glass of water took about 15 minutes to arrive to the table. The waiters often forgot what we had asked for, or brought it such a long time after that we had even forgotten we asked for it.Overall it’s a great place for kosher food. It’s definitely on the pricier side but very recommendable.
Comfortable. Good service and good food. A nice Brasserie, food is tasty well served. Its a kosher so dont expect dairy products and pork. Nice selection of wines. Great atmosphere with good acoustics. A bit pricey but the lunch special is reasonable.the service very kind and professional staff, and atmosphere justify it . Parking my by a little be hard to find.
Excellent place for meat lover. For vegetarian do not have many choice. But test was so good. Very nice services and environment also good. Must visit.
Food is very expensive and really not that great. They have 3 types of hamburgers; we tried all three types; everything around the burger is fine, but the burger itself, in all 4 hamburgers that weve ordered, was as hard as a rubber shoe sole. The fries were a weird shape and instead of being "meaty", there is just a shell of the chips. The tuna ceviche had very little tuna in it and most cerrainly not worth the price.Service was fine, but rather slow. The positive things I can say about this place is that it looks nice and that it is Kosher. If you are not keeping Kosher, then stay away. There are plenty of other, better, choice. If you do keep Kosher, then at least the atmosphere and the appearance is nice, but dont raise your hopes too much re the food.
The food 5 stars. The service 6 stars. My wife took me for my birthday in order to enjoy the 40 day dry aged prime rib. She got the signature burger with mushrooms and goose breast. We shared a corn beef appetizer. The conrbeef had an amazing flavor accompanied by a sweet aftertaste. The Burger was packed with flavor, surprising you with every bite. The prime rib was one of the better steaks I have ever had leaving me with the feeling that I wouldnt want the experience to end. The one thing my wife and I unfortunately didnt like so much was the overcrowded space. If you are not only looking for a culinary experience but also for a place to enjoy with ur loved one where u can feel comfortable to hold a conversation, I would suggest requesting a table for two more in the side. I do want to add that they dealt with our allergy restrictions better than any restaurant weve gone to. Very considerateTo conclude:Food: easy 5Service: no hesitation 6Seating: 3.5
Very fine experience, quite rare in Raanana.. an upscale place, also by its prices, but first and foremost by the quality of the food and the service.Being a Kosher meat place, don’t expect much of the deserts, but we enjoyed the tuna tartar, the Lavrak (seabassfillet, the unique lamb hamburger and the foie gras tarte-tatin. Very attentive service, especially by the shift manager Achiya. All in all, worth a visit.
Classy, incredibly vibrant restaurant, definitely one of Israels finest.Fish lovers must try the seared tuna appetizer, and for those craving meat , the kazan burger is AMAZING!!the manager there is also incredibly gracious, many owners can learn alot from him.
One of the nicer places I have been to. The service here is great, very kind and professional staff, and the food is just high end. The burgers I tried were pretty good, the basic burger is not very special. The rib eye steak was great, and the pricing is definitely reasonable.
Has been a while since the last brasserie in Raanana. But, seems it is long due. The place is very cozy and welcoming with a semi open kitchen. the menu is minimal (as expectedand has some nice looking dishes. This time i went for the classic burger and unfortunately it was just average. However, the service was good, there is parking under the resteraunt and the business lunch deals are fair.
Pleasant atmosphere, good service, delicious food. I wanted the sinta for its special side of beet gnocchi and they didnt have sinta, but they were willing to pair the side with the beef fillet instead. Desserts were less than good (only so much you can do with parve desserts...), and it seemed like the chocolate crunch & chocolate pistachio dessert were the same apart from the dollop of sorbet on top.
