Brass Bowl Kitchen & Juicery - Health food restaurant in Saint Petersburg, United States
Love this place but they are closed for the whole month of Feb. I paid for parking and walked two blocks to find this. Google shows that it is open but they are not. Very said because I was in town and they are one of the few places I can eat with my food allergies. They also have a board in the window saying they are open but paper signs say closed for Feb. Will write another review when they open again. Just not considerate to not notify google.
Amazing food. I make my own bowl and the portion sizes are just right. Everything is super fresh. 10x better than fresh kitchen, chipotle, taco dirty, etc. So glad I found my new go to spot. Healthy too.
Great food. Staff were very helpful and the place is very clean. Plenty have healthy food per plate. Price is outstanding for the quality and quantity of food received.
First visit today for lunch and it wont be the last. Super delish food, lots of healthy options (like gluten free dishes, cauliflower flatbread, etc.), huge portions, friendly staff, and very clean. I would personally recommend The Citadel bowl. Yum!
Bowls are good. Sandwiches are a lame ripoff. I’ve been here twice, had the Chakra bowl both times and found it missing salt but generally tasty, filling, and a fair price. My boyfriend ordered the southwest turkey melt today and as you can see from this pic - it’s sad and totally not worth $10. It was basically sliced Publix deli turkey and 1 slice of cheese. Based on the quality of the ingredients in the bowls, I expected more from the sandwich.
I’m so disappointed! My boyfriend ordered pizza and they served it cold. My hamburger was barely cooked and I can’t believe we spend close to $40 for this place!! I hope I don’t end up with food poisoning from the hamburger! Definitely not worth it!
Excellent service and a great menu for a fair price. Really solid espresso drinks, great sandwiches, and the bowls are fantastic. If youre looking for a place with lots of distance between seats but is still inside, Brass Bowl is gold.
Food is good, but the sometimes the sauces always have some weird flavor that is super unpleasant. Idk what it is. It’s not spice... it’s like bitter, BUT I still enjoy the food here. The staff is always delightful
Visited it today, ordered the creamy pesto grilled chicken sandwich, and my girlfriend ordered a pork bowl. The chicken grilled meat was really not pleasant to eat, so overcooked and dry. I couldnt even cut the meat with fork and knife. And this was a sandwich that you suppose to eat with hands. I just couldnt bite that meat. On other side, the pork meat wasnt done, was undercooked and very chewy.
Tasty food. Friendly service. Clean and pleasant indoor and outdoor seating. Fun odds&ends of merch and swag. And a variety of food and drinks for about all tastes.Portions could be just slightly more generous. But still a great meal with quality ingredients!!Highly recommend!!
This is my first time at the brass bowl kitchen and jewelry. What a nice surprise, I actually had a turkey sandwich in my partner had one of their bowls. The sandwich was amazing and the bowl was outstanding, next time Im going to try one of the bowls. We will certainly be back! Great atmosphere, wonderful service, delicious food!
The staff wears mask and the place is opened and clean. The menu is very flexible which you can altered the way you like it. Food quality is fresh and taste great. If I need to pick on something, just hope they wipe their hands/groves before packing. The to-go box is a bit greasy and like being reused. I am sure it is not.
Food is terrible and poor service. Manager proudly said that the food which is served today was made YESTERDAY! Tomato salad was mushy. Vitality bowl over salted, Ceasar dressing was powdery, avocado was hard. Not workTh the money. Poorly managed facility. Don’t go.
This place is great. They helped me with a larger order for over 25 people. It was ready on time, separately boxed, and all the boxes were labeled. Everyone preparing the food was wearing gloves and a mask. And, of course, the food was great. My own meal was even large enough for two meals.
Used to love this place. Placed an online order for me and my girlfriend. She picked it up and brought it home, the burger was extremely rare and dripping blood everywhere (requested medium). She brought it back there and the girl she talked to argued with her about it and said that’s what medium is. Absolutely not. Apparently no one here has any actual training either in culinary nor customer service. Burger was returned finally medium, but still a bit rare in the center. Bun was dry. Most definitely frozen product and not fresh. I’ll take my local business elsewhere next time.
Been about a dozen times, really wanted to like it but never leave happy. Sometimes its the food, sometimes the service, but never really on point. I tried so hard to like the place because the menu is great if prepared properly, but after I received a mushy bowl of inch long noodles as my pad thai I dont think Ill be back. Given yall a lot of chances to prove yourself and sorry but it seems like this place was started or is being run by someone with more money than restaurant experience. Get it together and you could be great.
Awesome food and friendly staff. Unwrapped Tuna roll is a must if you stop in!
Minus two stars because the rice was kinda undercooked and the meat not hot. But otherwise, I love the flavors of the bowls we got (hunter gatherer and Seoul). For the rice, there were spots where the grains were super hard and hurt my teeth as I enthusiastically munched on my food. At first I thought it was little bits of bone, but it’s just undercooked rice grains. The meat in the bowl was lukewarm, so it didn’t give off that FRESH feel, and made it feel like the whole bowl was just kinda lukewarm instead of having hot beefs, warm rice, and cold kimchi. If the rice and meat was better I’d definitely bring friends here to eat, but as it stands I wouldn’t because it’s not really enjoyable eating warmish meat and accidentally biting really hard rice grains :-(
Great little grab and go restaurant! Fantastic bowls whether you’re a meat-eater, vegetarian or vegan. The food is organic and the ingredients are delicious. If you’re trying to be health-conscious without sacrificing flavor, look no further!
A healthy heart this is the second time Ive been there and ordered the same thing. Love the Vitality Bowl. The smoked salmon is delicious as well as the sauteed superfood vegetables. The staff is friendly and very customer service oriented. I will go back many more times.
Been twice now and the consistency was excellent. We had the vitality bowl (salmon, avocado, greens}, the chicken pad Thai and the kids flat bread. Everything was delicious and fresh.
Absolutely repulsive food. My burger was small, the buns were burnt, the pickles were soggy and there isn’t any good drink options. There’s no good side options either. Best part of my meal was the ketchup container. Everything is over priced and not worth it
AMAZING ORGANIC FOODCan’t brag enough about this place. We love finding healthy food options when going out and tell everyone we know to check this place out. Really really hope they decide to open a location in Tampa so I can grab lunch easier 😆🙌🏼
So freaking delicious! I stopped in before a meeting for a quick dinner and so glad I did! This is good eating without the guilt!Service was great - I didnt catch her name but she helped me find my way to the right counter to order as well as showed me their juice and kombucha selections. I ordered the Chakra bowl. HUGE bowl. I couldnt finish it. But it was beautiful and flavorful - had a nice kick to it. Chicken was not dry - thank you! Loved the variety of vegetables in my bowl. The hummus was good too. The naan was very hard though, not sure if it was meant to be that hard but I couldnt eat it.Also bought a juice - Citrus Mojito. Refreshing and tart. Enjoyed sipping on it at my meeting.Big restaurant, lots of seating. Cool industrial vibe. 5/5 will come back!
An amazing cute place. The food is great. I enjoy this the employees
Great place with great ingredients and surprisingly good service. Cooking oils for the food tasted clean. Fresh flavor so rich! Great experience! Good space as well!
Im happy with this place. Yummy food and quick service! I like it better than Fresh Kitchen, which I see as slightly over-rated in St. Pete (and Ive gotten diarrhea after eating there a few times -- prob cuz of all of the bad food combos and too much sauces/spices). Back to Brass Bowl, I like the food options, such as wild salmon, etc. The service is generally nice (except for a grumpy dude there Ive experienced 2x). Feedback: think the location is a bit too big; would consider moving the restaurant to the front side (where juicing is now), and renting out second half. Or, relocating. I want this place to thrive in St. Pete! Stay alive, whatever it takes. Thanks for being here and offering g/f food.
Pros: The food is good especially the steak.Cons: I just paid $15 for an overpriced snack these bowls should not be this expensive or if they want to charge this much they need to include real portions.I won’t be back
This place is a little pricey for bowls. BUT they are insanely well done, tasty, and you don’t feel guilty about eating the food. Some of the best bowls I’ve had!
This place was so yummy! We had the pork bowl which was very juicy and tender. The staff was really nice. Everything looked clean. I will def be back!
I heard good things about this place so I decided to give it a try on bitesquad. Definitely not what I expected. They dont have descriptions under the food items so I thought i was getting rice or noodles with my pad thai bowl. I got noodles in the form of carrots and zucchini’s?? Luckily i added pork shoulder and guacamole. Those 2 items were delicious. I also got a side of Brussel sprouts and every single piece was burnt and bitter as in the photo. This place may be great to some people but definitely not my thing. Probably wouldn’t eat from here again.
One of the best spots on Central. The food is healthy and delicious. I eat here 3 times a week and it never disappoints.Hint: The salmon tacos are life changing 🌮
Absolutely delicious! Healthy never tasted so good! We added Brass Bowl to our catered lunch rotation and it has quickly become one of our favorites. Not only is EVERYTHING gluten free and organic, but Jason (owner/chefis such a pleasure to work with and also caters to our dietary restrictions. His bowls are simply outstanding. I definitely recommend.
Pleasantly surprised. I was initially resistant to try this place because of the wave of businesses that have taken over this block from the likes of Local 662, Daddy Kool, etc... That and the fact that’s it’s next door to a similar concept turned me off to Brass Bowl. However my wife and I gave it a try and both of our dishes were quite good. A nice healthy lunch that you have the option of having a freshly pressed juice to accompany it. I had the braised pork which was super tender and went very with the the tomatoes, olives, corn and black rice. I’ll defiantly go back now.
Surprisingly good. Just went in with no expectations & really enjoyed the food. Fish tacos are super
I have the great pleasure and privilege of eating here almost weekly. I knew I had to share it so I decided to host my sisters baby shower at Brass Bowl Kitchen. Chef Jason worked along side me to create the perfect menu and was so kind, helpful and eager to make this the best shower ever. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant and this team. St. Pete is so lucky to have Chef Jason and The Brass Bowl Kitchen!
Great place to come too! Has great options for vegetarians vegans and meat-eaters. Not only that but the place is super clean and smells clean. You also can watch the cooks make your food. I would definitely highly recommend this place
Brown old vegetables, steak that was not cooked, and the food was cold. I couldn’t eat any of this. Very disappointed! And health hazard. While I was waiting for my food the staff was using chemicals to clean and spray around the counters and food prep areas. The chemicals were very strong. I could smell them across the restaurant. Obviously when you spray chemicals around food and into the air, some of them will leach into the food. No one should be straying chemicals while food is being prepared. A friend told me about this place and I had high hopes but it didn’t even come close to being “okay”. Food was not edible. Waist of money and time. Sorry to be harsh but it’s just not okay. The staff seemed nice but the food, which is more important, was not.
This was our first time here and it was fantastic. We got a create your own bowl with braised pork shoulder that was perfectly seasoned and tender. A bed of cauliflower and kale underneath and a little smashed avocado. I will definitely stop here next time I am in downtown St Pete. This is a great option for someone on a low carb diet!
Healthy clean food that doesnt taste like its healthy. This is foodies food - gourmet, perfectly matched flavors, interesting uncommon ingredients, but all in a counter casual setting. This is my quickie meal alternative to burrito counters or pizza. Ive been 4 times now. The entire menu is guilt free: healthy ingredients, chock full of organic vegetables, gluten free. They serve bowls and flatbreads. I usually choose one of their bowls, but you can make your own. The salmon is cooked PERFECTLY every time, the sous vide hangar steak is crazy tender and flavorful. I just tried the zucchini/carrot noodles in their version of Pad Thai, which are cut wide and thin for their pad thai, it was so delicious! There is also ahi tuna that I have yet to try, and many vegan and vegetarian options. The flatbread is the most delicious gluten free bread Ive had, I would not have known it was GF.The portions are a little too big. I leave too full. The prices are $12-14 which I think is reasonable considering this is not fast food, these ingredients are amazing. They just added beer and wine, and a happy hour appetizer menu that I havent tried. plus some natural sodas and teas. They have one side of the counter just for fresh pressed juices and fruit bowls, I havent tried that side.
We booked our baby shower here after scouring St. Pete for a venue of beautiful atmosphere, catering options and a price that made us feel at ease. In our search, we found other restaurants and catering venues to request $500+ without the inclusion of food cost. The decorum of The Brass Bowl had the chic wood paneling and lovely bright lighting to present a cozy, open area for our 40 guests to sit comfortably and had plenty of traffic space for our shower games to be played without elbows bumping.Executive chef Jason Gordon and his crew were professional, timely, and open to any culinary requests as was applicable from the menu. When food was brought to the tables, it was done so on fine wares and meticulous presentation.Jason was not only our top advocate for taking off as much stress as possible on the catering portion, but he was quick to assist in decorating and allowing for the arrangements of our guests as requested. He gave an above and beyond production for our event, and in the multiple instances where times did not run accordingly with our plans as far as games and guests went, he was quick with understanding and a generous attitude, allowing for postponement of food without compromising temperature or quality. He was easy going with allowing our own food and drink to be brought, and helped present it better than we had ourselves. His menu allows for some adventurous eating as well as fine dining takes on simpler entrees.Located in the ever popular downtown St. Pete, The Brass Bowl is a short walk from The Sundial parking garage to allow for all the extra parking necessary to prevent tow truck drivers making a living off of your guests vehicles.Simply, the experience was wonderful and our friends at The Brass Bowl took a large portion of stress off of our shoulders by bringing easy food choices, a grand venue and a price to throw a large event for a plethora of people that made every ounce of effort put in to planning it all, well worth it.
Interesting new place. Its the "turf" side of food that Pacific counter doesnt serve, but still delivers on flavor. The smoked mushrooms, the popcorn shoots, and the zoodles were very good. The proteins were also all excellent, but the shishito peppers need lots of extra seer. Drink choices were all excellent as well!
Went for early-ish brunch and didn’t realize the kitchen didn’t open until 11 - went with a smoothie bowl which was good but pricey for something I could make at home. Took a while to get our order even when it was completely empty inside and they were out of a few ingredients. Screamo-sounding music was blasting and didn’t seem to fit the vibe which was otherwise pretty cool. Would still like to go back to try the other bowls/flatbread.
AMAZING! The in house portions are generous, delicious, and beautifully assembled. The food is organic and locally sourced when possible. Celiac/gluten friendly. The best food you can get for 13 bucks, hands down. I would eat here for lunch everyday if I could. This kitchen is deserving of the highest recommendation. The vibe is open, chic, and very inviting.
Thanks to a wonderful, I was introduced to this wonderful, fresh and amazing lunch spot!! This a newish spot, and its a twofer!Walking into the restaurant, you find a clean, open and bright space. Tables and stools offer you options to sit. Then you find a fresh juicery and smoothie bar! I wish I had tried it but alas, was just there for lunch. We moved to the back to be greeted by the the fresh bowl counter! They have a wonderful assortment of bowls and flatbreads that you can choose from or you can be saucy and create your own bowl!Yall know, I went for my own! They had so many fresh options, that it was hard to choose! You get a base, protein, 2 fresh veggies and a sauce. I went with the sous vide steak, carrots and zucchini noodles, mushrooms and cabbage. Before my eyes, they warmed, cooked and assembled everything in a pretty brass bowl. We also, got a side of honey brussel sprouts. The kitchen was clean and everyone moved with efficiency. You have fresh, healthy options for drinks that include water, teas, pressed juices and some carbonated healthy options.Sitting in the comfy bench, I eagerly dove in! The steak was amazing, falling apart tender with amazing flavor. The mushrooms were full of flavor and earthy. The only thing I didnt particularly like, there was to much liquid at the bottom of the bowl from the zoodles. The flavor was so good and everything was completely fresh and tasty. The service was good. I managed to grab a few words with the Chef, very charming, everyone else was very heads down. Very polite.I am eager to try it again, already.
Came to check them out. New kid on the block had to try. They have 2 counters to order from. First is juicery, second counter towards the back is bowl kitchen. Vitality bowl with wilted rainbow chard which I would reccomend wilting it as chard is bitter. Other is flatbread with hummus (cant remember name rneverything was yummy and flavorful, prices are on point with area. Portion sizes are just right, not too much not too little. Will be back to try other menu items.
Great vegan options. Herbivore flatbread served on vegan gluten free naan and build your own vegan bowl was excellent. Vegan options are not well marked and only one staff member know what was vegan. Im only giving four stars because the ordering process and service is really slow and inefficient. So many employees just standing around. Hopefully this gets better.
Its pretty darn good. But It does have new restaurant syndrome. Kinda quiet (they should be playing some musicand some of the veggies were cold and dry (The potatoes especially). Otherwise very tasty. Im exicted to come back.
I walked in and tried asking for a rice bowl, and the server was very rude. He was goading me to ask what I wanted, when it was my first time actually going here. The place and the experience was unpleasant. It was $15 for a tiny bowl of rice (cold), 5-6 small pieces of steak, and a bit of vegetables. For the price, I feel cheated and underwhelmed. Not recommended.
One of the best spots in St. Petersburg. Not your regular bowl. The creativity, freshness and thought behind all the ingredients will blow your mind. Not to mention the amazing staff and decor that brings this bowl all together!! A++
