We come here weekly for lunch, terrific menu, beautiful food and Amber and all the staff are always so lovely and accommodating, highly recommended!
Fantastic Cafe with delicious fresh produce. I had there homemade soup and brown bread. Great value and very tasty.I’ll be stopping off again when in or nearby Durrow.
Beautiful Coffee shop and very tasty treats 😋 . Will definitely be back for a lunch soon. Would highly recommend here!
Absolutely love the food here. And the buns and cakes are fabulous..
This place... Not to be missed!!! How on earth is such an amazing restaurant located in a place like Durrow! (Nothing against the town, but the food really blew us away. The tastes, the textures, attention to detail, the harmony between ingredients, everything was so far beyond expectation and was less of a meal and more of an experience (and one not to be missed!). Guys, if you have the opportunity to eat here, take it. We will certainly be back, trust me on that... 5 stars without a shadow of a doubt!
Cafe looks small but pleasantly surprised to find beautifl outdoor area to the back. Food and atmosphere enjoyed
Always good standard. Quick and efficient and food always great.
Food is so good here. Beautiful restaurant with indoor and outdoor sitting.Really enjoyed my lunch here, will definitely be returning.
Fab place to eat staff very good and reasonably priced
Stopped off in Bowes today following a funeral in Moyne. I had my 3month old baby with me ,he was hysterical and needed a feed. Initially there was a bit of a queue so I went and sat out the front to feed him. One of the waitresses followed me out and suggested I eat under the canopy out the back giving me fresh air, cover from the rain and giving me a bit of privacy. She pushed my buggy through for me as I was feeding my little man. She served me promptly and checked in on me a few times making sure I had all I needed. I ordered a cappuccino and a Superbowl Salad. Both were delicious. The changing facilities were clean and comfortable and payment was efficient. I was very impressed with the variety on the menu and the service I received ! I would definitely return if in the locality again.
First time here. Lovely fresh food and enjoyed chicken, blackpudding and couscous in pastry served with salad. Staff friendly. The toilet near new extension had cold not very hot water as notice said, and I felt the toilet, the area around toilet was very poorly cleaned. No sanitizer inside door of toilet and maybe as it was late that was the reason.
A hidden jem in Durrow, stopped for brunch, busy cafe, lots of seating, very roomy area.Lovely menu choice, quick service, friendly and helpful Staff.Great selection of buns and cakes.
Great for breakfast or lunch, lovely food, Great service and take away menu too. Order ahead of time on website on busy days.
Very good as usual wish I could eat there more often
Great food, lovely experience, very relaxing. Excellent all round
Called in for a snack and ordered The most amazing Beef steak pie with side salad and separate fries 😋. Have to send compliments to The chef and the Front of House for quick sitting. If you are ever calling with a Party call and book in advance. Ill definitely be there again.
Must be Best coffee ☕️ shop in the area queue out the door Gorgeous Coffee en Cake 🎂All the food we seen coming out looked fab 👌 👏 👍
One of the best Ive ever had the pleasure to experience.Excellent service with a smile , and food to die for !!
Excellent address! Lovely room with an appreciated garden when the sunshine. Nice plates and very good flavours. Go for it! 👍
Food was really good but mother of God, give the poor girls a break and put more staff on the floor. Twice Ive been where we didnt stay for dessert due to staff being run ragged.
Beautiful fresh food, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. The menu changes regularly and the tasty food is always a treat. There might be a short wait as its a popular spot but its worth it. You will be full leaving but get a piece of cake to take away for later! Yum 😋
Stellar service, even though the staff were coping with an unexpected volume of customers. Our order was taken and the hot food on the table very promptly. Great food, efficient and friendly staff, what more could you ask for!
Stumbled upon this little gem while passing through Durrow. A wonderfull breakfast menu was presented by very attentive and efficient staff. Breakfast time was busy with a great atmosphere and seats were always available. Upon entering one cannot help but notice the very attractive display of sweat treats which will definitely be sampled on my next visit. see you soon!
Fabulous food .. very friendly and helpful sfaff ... would definitely recommend this cafe for breakfast lunch or just something nice
Amazing food - totally bowled over with the loaded plates of absolutely delicious and tasteful food. Have recommended it to loads of friends- cant wait to go back.

I’ve ate here a few times and always find the service and food to be top quality. Definitely the stand out place to eat in Durrow. I’ll be back for sure.
We really enjoyed our breakfast. Everything was so delicious. Highly recommend 🔥🤩👏
Easily best place on Cork Dublin road.I will make this a regular stopGreat food, great service
Absolutely incredible food, super friendly staff and fab desserts!! Main courses come in big portions and at very decent prices! Really happy with my lunch today :)
Nice place, nice staff, ordered a sea food chowder for early lunch, disappointed to find it bulked out with reheated skin on soapy baby potatoes that did not taste good. Also the Chowder came with one slice of homemade brown bread (delicious BTWwith one piece of butter, I asked for a second slice and was charged an extra €2.50 when I declared it at check out. There seemed to be 3 fish varieties and was no shell fish in the chowder.
Always great to come for a visit and enjoy tasty food
Lovely food, nice varied eclectic menu of lunch dishes. I had a Moroccan lamb option last day. Plenty of kids options. Friendly service. Lots of outdoor dining space out the back, deceptive how big it is compared to front entrance. Can get pretty busy, very popular spot at lunchtime.
Lovely atmosphere, beautiful garden and fantastic menu. Main course was delicious, however poached egg was not runny. Some desert items were unavailable, which was not communicated until other members of the party were served. The apples in the crumble were unfortunately crunchy. While the staff were very polite, it was difficult to get their attention and order.
Really love this little place. Ive stopped here a few times passing through on route to kilkenny. They do a really nice breakfast but theyve a lovely afternoon menu if your not in early. The cafe itself is lovely and really comfortable, staff are very friendly and welcoming and the food is top class. Ill definitely be stopping in again on my next journey.
Found a little unknown treasure in Durrow - we were passing through and headed into Bowe’s cafe. Excellent atmosphere in a stunning setting in the garden. Enjoyed a delightful duck wrap and finished it off with a delicious slice of chocolate cake. Definitely recommend. Looking forward to go back , it is only a short distance from Kilkenny!
Dont be fooled by the two little chairs outside the front of this cafe. Especially if you have never been to Dorro before. It has a lovely setting out back with plenty of room with gravel paths and some grass areas. This is a little gem. The service is good the staff are friendly and helpful. The setting is relaxing. Just had tea but looking at portions of food being put to other tables they are good and look lovely.well worth a visit.
Lovely place with nice staff. Great coffee and treats as well.
Ive dined here a few times and on each occasion their food has been top class and very tasty. Id have no problem recommending Bowes.
A real hidden jewel. Stopped in Durrow for lunch and thought wed try here for a quick bite. We didnt realise how beautiful it was inside and out in the garden. Add to that the fab food. Really special spot
Fabulous lunch and some of the best most attentive staff Ive ever experienced. Highly recommended.

Ive been here a number of times and never fails to impress or satisfy. Great food, great atmosphere and hard working staff. Even at its busiest it is always consistent. Could not recommend more. Also the coffee so good!!
I admit Im a regular; but thats because the food is wonderful, the coffee like no other, the staff are friendly and the menu is ever-changing. No reason to go elsewhere, a new food experience every day. 💓
