Touring operas, shows, comedians and ballets perform on the stage of this venue in a 1920s pavilion.
Radio Gaga Queen tribute bloody brilliant.. all ages were rocking
Great venue, in lovely condition. Superb sound too.
Just gotta love this little old venue. It gets you so close to the stars and great acoustics from plays, opera, stand-ups to rock music. Only downside is the price for parking, no thanks to Bournemouth town council - £12.00 for the evening is ridiculously overpriced.
A really nice theatre with a great view from the balcony.
Lovely old style theatre with great sound and acoustics
Lovely theatre. Shame that you charge £3 for a small bottle of fanta
Tea Dance in the lovely Ballroom with live music tea and cake. Glorious 😀
Absolutely awful evening to see Abba. Tribute.Paid for seat and expected to be able to see them. Everyone insisted on standing all the way through. Spoilt the nights. Loads of people went to complain. They said nothing could be done. What a load of rubbish. We would have been better off sitting in the car and listening to a CD. The car park charge was £16.50. Wanted to change seats but there was none. Awful night. My very last time at this venue
Really good fun, nice place, good location
ABBA tribute "Thank u for the music" Was awesome. Worth seeing it next time theyre down.
Decent venue seating okay until someone spills a drink and it runs down through the seats making it slippery
I worked there a few times and all staff is lovely, and the place too
How in heavens name do businesses expect to get customers when they use people to deliver their advertising leaflets and they leave them hanging out doors or on the floor at the door this is a very poor service you are paying for items should always be put through letterboxes properly for security reasonsMaybe you should use a proper company or person to deliver your itemsFrom not a very happy resident
Went to see Mj starring BEN last night and as always Ben was amazing but I can’t say the same for the staff. Not helpful at all. If you are on the larger side or have a disability or both in my case don’t expect any help.
Just watched Mumma Mia .. and it was brilliant 👏 👌 😀.... amazing performance...
Here we go again. Just seen Mama mia for the second time. What fun ot was in a perfect pavilion. Well done Bournemouth 👏.
Traditional theatre, not a bad show so far .Facilities always clean and the place looks tidy and well maintained
Staff were so helpful. Only negative the cost of parking. £2.70 an hour.!!!!
Went to see The Proclaimers who were Fab!! 8th July 2022 but couldnt believe how many people were allowed to go in and out of theatre once show had started. Show started at 7.30 with warm up act and people still being allowed in after 8pm...During the proclaimers set people were going in and out frequently to get drinks from the bar, never known this to happen at any performance before...spoilt the evening somewhat
Bournemouth Pavilion Theatre is right on the sea front, we parked on Madeira Road (free Sunday parkingand walked down to the theatre, although having walked through the rundown town, in future it would be worth paying to park at the Pavilion. The foyer is small for the amount of people the theatre holds but it didnt take long to walk through to our seats. We were sat on row L, seats 26/27 and had a fantastic view of the stage. The seats were comfortable and were raised a little above the seats below.Seeing Jane Mcdonald was an amazing experience, we had a great fun night, it was fantastic to see Jane live in concert, shes a phenomenal singer and a great laugh on stage, a true entertainer. With songs from Queen, Abba, Officer & a Gentleman as well as Janes own songs, we were singing & clapping along.
Seating very tight.Good views of stage from circle.Sound and lighting excellent.
Had A fantastic Evening At BournemouthSeeing Jane Mcdonald In concert
Went to see the Illegal Eagles absolutley fantastic band Apart from the fact i was not enjoying myself when told to ssshh when i was having a conversation privately with my Aunty. When i pay to go to a concert i feel the need to express myself wirh dancing.I had the whole row basically.Which was very nice. When i was told to ssshh at a concert i felt harassed and quite distressed as i wasnt being overly brash.Spoke to the manager Robert who was rather condesending saying 2 people out of 500 complained ?? Hhmm what by dancing ,?? I understand the rules but i definately wont be attending any more events at this establishment. POOR TCf And duscrimination against freedom of expression and actually enjoying the music. I WILL be contacting head office with regard to this.SUCH A SHAME AS I AM LOCAL .
Worst theatre seats I have ever sat inLeft the show at half timeTotally spoiled our evening
Prefer the Pavilion to the BIC as a venue. However, the seats are so small and uncomfortable. Also parking outside the Pavilion to see a show was £8, this all adds to the cost of your afternoon/evening.
As other reviewers have said the seats desperately needs sorting out! We came here last night for a Alan Carr and it was so cramped and crowded your legs were easily touching the person next to you. I understand that they need to sell tickets but they need to distance the chairs slightly more. I’m 6 foot 6 and by the end of the night my legs were really hurting. I go to the theatre a lot but the seats at this one by far the closest together.
Its a lovely venue, but the seats are narrow, and it can get warm.
Stunning theatre but rather uncomfortable seating especially for longer performances such as the opera
The theater was cold so had to keep my coat on. The show was good, the staff very friendly
Our first (post covidtheatre experience for two years! Booked in 2019 - Remembering the Oscars with Strictly Professionals Aliaj and Janette. At Bournemouth Pavilion with friends😊🕺💃 Brilliant dancing, music and company!
Saw that will be the day sixth time great show always good fantastic talent
Lovely theatre, very friendly staff, thatll be the day , brilliant as always,
Went to see kinky boots on my own on Friday.A brilliant must see fun performance ...even for children 10 and over. The staff at the pavilion are amazing. The bar staff fun and very attentive.I booked last min so I could only get a seat near the back. When 3 very tall people arrived in front I couldnt see an inch of stage.A huge huge thank you to the usherette who went way beyond herself to find me a different seat.My night was made up.Thank you all.
An atmospheric venue conveniently located so easy to find, and lots of food choices nearby. Tickets fairly priced, easy parking. The parking isnt cheap, but the tariffs are clearly displayed.
The bar staff were the the most friendly people i think ive ever met. I went to the friends show on 16th February 2022. Please pass the feedback to the bar staff. Great guys.
Great venue. Lots of bars to choose grim before the event. Friendly and informative staff.
Lovely old theatre with great atmosphere! Staff excellent, very helpful. Only reason it wasnt 5 stars was because the seats are quite snug and the toilet flush didnt work! However, I am looking forward to returning and I love the fountains in front, they give the pavilion true style!
We went to see “ We Will Rock You” yesterday and it was amazingly excellent. Great cast and great music.I would highly recommend it.
The show was pretty good, but the place itself needs to be refurbished. Its such a beautiful building, but a few features are not in a good condition. The seats are really old and it felt like they were about to break. With some work, it can become an amazing beautiful building
We well rock you was a load of rubbish , songs by queen were sung these was no story at all to go with the songs huge fan of queen and they totally wreck who he was and his brilliant songs , walked out on the first half in discuss , rock and roll is not rock it’s totally different and punk rockers are not rockers so we’re did they think They were all related wrong
Seats very uncomfortable, they need replacing! Extremely cold! Everyone complaining it was freezing in there, had to sit in coats for the whole show! Extremely disappointed! This was not a one of, been freezing in there twice, wont be going again, too cold & uncomfortable
The must see panto of 2031 Peter pan absolutely brilliant cast and so funny only on till Jan 2nd
Went to see Russell Brand, great show, lovely staff, only drawbacks were, price of the drinks and the seats are way to small for anyone who is on the large side, I do understand its a very old building and changes are difficult to make but the effort would be appreciated.
Just want to give a big shout out to the staff at Bournemouth Pavilion. They helped my father out massively when we realised that I had booked circle tickets for a show and there was no lift for my disabled father to use. They managed to find us seats only 9 rows from the front and on an aisle with very short notice (10 minutes).Amazing service and show!
Went to see a comedy show which was very good. Venue nice enough and a good evening, however theatre is severely let down by its booking line. Wed bought three tickets and wanted to buy another one to add to our party. This would have meant moving our seats to a block of four which we could see was available online. Not an unusual scenario but impossible to resolve as phone line not available until 4pm. Emailed our specific query to so called help line but a generic response that did not answer the question so clearly not read by a human (if it was then there was no desire to help). So we called - "you are number 35 in the queue". A queue that moved painfully slow so after 30 minutes gave up as we calculated it would be another 45 minutes to be answered. So, disappointingly we left our forth person home alone and had a nice enough evening thanks to some great comedians but missed our missing person.Such a shame we couldnt buy that extra ticket and left with a sense there is no commitment to providing an effective booking service with too much reliance on Internet- cheap I guess but has potential to let potential customers down.
Ive not been to the Bournemouth Pavilion before. Good to see a theatre open & operational again! Lots of people wearing masks, quite a lot who werent too. Portable bar in the foyer. We sat in the stalls. Not a lot of legroom & seats quite close together. Only gave 4* as I felt very squashed. The show was good though.
What a lovely theatre with very helpful staff. We went to watch the Blues Brothers tribute act which was our first trip since the end of lockdown and we felt very comfortable with all Covid restrictions. The only moan, was the cost of the car park.
Our First and Last visit. On entering we were warmly welcomed by the Bar Staff, who explained all of the beers/lagers that were available. The Staff were attentive and polite. A good choice of Real ale but a limited choice of Lagers. We chose their own brand Lager. £4.70! (We found it incipid and it left an unpleasant after taste. There is a dedicated Restaurant area and a separate, but adjoining, Bar area.We did not eat there especially when we were charged £1.50 for a packet of Nuts!Overall, it is a very nice establishment but it is very expensive.
Nice size theatre, with good views of the stage from the circle and the stalls.Good quality comedians and musicians use the venue and the pantomime is exceptional value for money.
Another great day staying at the lovely Park Central Hotel. Visited the Bournemouth pavilion and enjoyed greatly the Rolling Stones Story with my wife and granddaughter.
