Nice restaurant on the side that serves ok food. It is charming due to its first half of 20th century architecture and refurbished interior.
One of the best in Santiago.
Restaurant con decoración antigua. Buen servicio. Siempre atentos. Protocolos sanitarios correctos.
The real tasty food
In the heart of the barrio Yungay, this french style restaurant relieve the traditions of the typical french home cuisine and the old downtown neighborhood of Santiago. An very visually attractive barber shop still runs in the frontis of the building. After a great meal, walk around, admire the architecture and street art flourishing in every corner of the neighborhood.
A trip to the past. 1858.
Very nice old place
Cool
Nice
Historic restaurant and barber shop. Good food, coffee not great.
Overrated.
The food was lovely and we had excellent service from our waiter Ricardo.
Such a gorgeous old restaurant! Food (ceviche and grilled tunawas outstanding & service was top notch! Interesting cocktail list too
A classical to visit in the Barrio Yungay !
Great food in a very charming ambiance.
A funky little spot, but other than the assortment of old barber artifacts displayed throughout, not much to recommend. For starters, the seats were quite uncomfortable. They made one of the worst martinis Ive ever had to gag back. The food was OK, but nothing to go out of your way for. I had a tuna on creamed corn. The tuna was presented as a huge chunk, not an exact cube or nicely sliced, just a chunk, and the corn was sweetened, like they use in their pastel de choclo. The service was good, and while the seats werent great, the table was a good size and well separated from the others.
The food is delicious!
We had a very weird experience. While being sitted at a table (a small one for two peopleat the moment of ordering, we and the waitress were notified by another waitress about the table was exclusive for another couple and that we should change immediately to another.Understandable if a note were put as "reserved", this was not the case. We didnt understand which was the special client which he spoke about, but as clearly one can guess, we were not in the "special" category. We are letting this message in here as warning for future clients in order to be aware of this kind of policies.
Been in Santiago for a year now and this was the best restaurant in terms of decor, atmosphere, quality of food, service and price. The area is also great, feel like your in S America and not in the bubble
Beautiful place with really nice food. Completely recommended
This is one of the best meals of my life. A hidden gem in Santiago. Great French cuisine, amazing staff, great wines.
Incredible historical restaurant serving excellent food
A must go restaurant in Santiago. Delicious food in a very peculiar house.
The barber shop is the primary motivation for this review. An old fashioned, cutthroat-razor shave is really a must do; this spot is such a grand setting, and such a professional finish! After the cut, lunch at the attendant museum-cum-restaurant is an expensive but very worthwhile experience. Food was good, but the unhurried service was outstanding. The setting is, again, a must-do. Lots of money, very well-spent!
Food and decor was great
Good food and great service. Interior is unique.
Nice restaurant, good food, reasonable prices
Great food, great atmosphere. The desert (chocolate volcanowas just splendid :).
The womans bathroom is hilarious.
We really enjoyed our meal here. Four of us went for dinner and tried the salmon, the duck, the shrimp crepe, french onion soup, and the risotto of the day. All of our food was cooked perfectly and the flavors were spot on. The service was friendly though a bit slow. The food is moderatly priced but worth it.
service slow but nice ambience
historic. fascinating decor individual service interesting cuisines try a steak with chocolate sauce
Great old-timey barbershop! Apparently a national landmark.
Friendly waiting staff, good atmosphere
Nice original and cool place
A nice restaurant with the old French inspired Santiago architecture and decoration.
Super cute place with different well decorated room. A well thought out and executed menu (good creative foodand great service. I would say a must go. Price is pretty good too for "a nicer place"
Really nice French restaurant in town. My personal favorite for duck, rosti and other tasty dishes. As an addition, there is a traditional barbershop besides it, if you want to have that old timers experience, and in the restaurant itself, they have plenty of old style decoration and households, that you can actually buy
A former barbershop transformed into a cool, trendy restaurant. The food was good - fillet Mignon
Unique decor, large menu and good service. Worth a visit!
This is one of then cutest places Ive been in some time. Such a chill ambiente with various rooms with just slightly different lighting and paintings in each which changes the feel. Artwork adorn the walls from many different artists, most of which is for sale. French chill music playing.Highly recommend making the trip out here, whether to chill on a couch for a coffee as I did or, even better, for a proper meal.
Beautiful restaurant with plush interior and historic setting. I loved reading about the history of the neighborhood and the barbershop itself - it was like stepping back into Santiagos history. The food is good as well although the ambiance beats the cuisine.
