Bottega Toffoli - Italian restaurant in Dublin, Ireland
Had a lovely family meal here. The pizza is probably the best in Dublin, and the experience is very cosy, with a very friendly waitress and a chef who is clearly passionate about pizza. When my son requested chillis on his pepperoni pizza, the chef came to ask if he might prefer the chillis infused in the sauce…which turned out to be simply delicious. We will be back again!
If youve read the lower reviews and hesitate because of the price or for fear of waiting - stop. I almost made that mistake. The pizza is a miracle and absolutely worth it! You can see and taste the high quality ingredients and the love for food that is put into them. Also great service, provided by absolutely lovely people. Can definitely recommend the Pizza Peperoni, Pizza Capricciosa and Tiramisu! Thank you for a fantastic dinner!
Amazing pizza!! Definitely worth the high price!!! In fact, that wasn’t a pizza, it was a masterpiece. You taste the good ingredients and the owner was such a nice person, we would come every day if we could.
Great pizza, lovely chef/owner.
Great food, great environment
One of the best pizzas in Dublin. A true hidden gem!
Real italian food in Dublin. Great experience, dont miss it if you are in the area.
Best pizza in Dublin!
Cosy little restaurant with a character, great music, there was a real passion by the owner for the food which was delicious and made with love. Quiet and relaxing atmoshere. Give it 6 out of 5 stars 🍀
Delicious food, the cook is a wonderful person
When an Italian friend tells us that somewhere has fantastic pizza, you listen. I’m glad I did. Definitely the best pizza I’ve had in Dublin in a very long time. Highly recommend Bottega Toffoli. Carlo is a lovely host and makes the experience all the better. Molto gustoso.
Unique experience! Carlo cooks for you while youre there. Had an amazing time in his place. Food (pasta & pizzaand wine were delicious. Ill go back for sure!
Had the most amazing dinner here! Pastas were spot on made with fresh ingredients and the pizza crispy&delicious. The whole place is run by one charming person, from cooking to serving. Highly recommend!
Lovely little place. Delicious pizza, antipasto and pasta, delightful chef.
Perfect Pizza! This little pizzeria has the best pepperoni pizza I have ever eaten. The dough is crispy and the ingredients are very fresh and authentic. I recommend it and I will definitely return.
Been coming here for years. The pizza is the best Ive had in Ireland. Delicious, fresh ingredients cooked up by an Italian chef. Friendly front of house. Charming and quirky interior. Love the place.
A fabulous gem of a restaurant tucked away near the historical Dublin castle quarter in castle street .The owners go above and beyond to give a high standard of service and the food is absolutely superb.Mouth watering pizzas, pastas, Salads and much more .The cozy atmosphere makes you feel at ease as you languish over a glass of wine or coffee after .A truly memorable place and I will most definitely return .Thanks a million for a wonderful experience.
Love this place! Small cosy, best pizza in Dublin! And the amount of garlic in the pasta is just perfect!! Not fast food, but cooked with lots of TLC and served woth care. Nice amd quiet too.
Absolutely wonderful place with good wholesome and authentic Italian produce which is organic too
Absolutely delicious pizza and excellent service! On a cute street behind Dublin Castle.
I have been to Toffolis plenty of times. The restaurant is small and there is only one person making the food. But in saying that, its the main reason I go. Yes there might be a wait, but the food tells a beautiful story. Fresh pizza, fresh pasta. What else would you want. Seeing as you might have to wait I would recommend going to this place to have a good long chat with some amazing food and great service. A hidden gem in Dublin City. Would recommend to anyone who doesnt have a gluten allergy.
What a cozy place to spend our Sunday night. Owner/Chef/Servant was such a great and genuine character that made us feel as we were welcomed to his home. Could not help to observe when he took the role as a chef preparing our pizzas and could really see that he put his heart into it. There were even small eatable flowers that had been carefully placed there and the taste and quality was just superb 👌🏻thank you for making our night 🙏🏻
I would have ordered the pizza again but I was a bit disappointed in the pasta. A bit pricey for what it is.
One of the best pizzas in Dublin. All carefully selected ingredients. Service from the chef cook second to none! Will be back.
Quirky, off beat, tiny, good food and earnest welcoming staff. If you have time and want to feel like you are in your eccentrics aunt and uncles kitchen, this is the place. Pizza and wine like no other place. Not cheap for pizza. We go back.
we liked the idea of a small family owned place offering authentic Italian food with fine quality ingredients.. but we were surprised by the menu, only very expensive pizzas (far from my favourite in Dublinand a couple of super simple main courses, grilled chicken breast or white fish with side pasta at 25 euro. Only one choice of wine at 34 euro. One spoon of tiramisu, 6.5 euro.I feel bad leaving this review cause I want them to do well.. my feedback is to lower your prices, at the end of the day its just a pizzeria
Great wee spot. Carlo is such a character and a brilliant chef. The pizza, for this Chicagoan, was brilliant. Best since home. Definitely on my list to tevisit@! A+++++
Cosy, relaxed local spot. Authentic food, cooked to order and adaptable depending on availability of ingredients. Phone for booking. Prices are perfectly reasonable given the location, ingredients and quality of the food. For those who complain about the speed, its a one man show most of the time and its somewhere to sit and savour the food and have a glass of wine, not gulp down a bite enroute elsewhere.
Lovely small Italien spot that isnt advertised in very many spots. We had the bruschetta and the Parma ham to start and they were both perfect.Of course the real party piece are the pizzas which are all very well made with excellent ingredients and the staff here are very friendly.Highly recommended!
Without a doubt one of the best Italian restaurants in town, a small little hidden restaurant with some super friendly owners, the house red wine is definitely worth a try. We will definitely go back, love it!
Absolutely the best restaurant I have been to. The pizza is incredible and service excellent.
Little Italian hidden gem at the back of the street.O found it very personal experience for the good being prepared and served by the owner...
Hands-down the best restaurant Ive ever been to. Incredible pizza and pasta dishes. This is the coolest experience youll have eating out in Dublin. Im gushing like an over-excitable schoolgirl here but visit this place if you can.
Amazing pizza. The place is small but warm.
Fantastic food - best pizza I had so far in Dublin. Very friendly staff.
Amazing hidden gem in Dublin city. THE BEST FOOD YOU WILL EVER EAT!
Lovely night in Toffoli. Quaint, relaxed and off the beaten track. The pizzas are out of this world (go for the Holy Toffoli - the smoked mozzarella is incredible), and the house wine is fabulous.Staff are lovely and have great craic with each other the whole time.
Authentic food, tiny little place.Make sure you book ahead to know if the place is open and if you get a table.Good pizza and daily food, not a lot of choice tho so make sure you show up with an open mind
Very special and great restaurant. Book a table in advance cause there are only five. As well as only three meals (and about 10 pizzaswhich change almost daily depending on availability and seasonality. If you wanna have a wonderful Italien evening, thats your restaurant. If you cant get a table, they also offer take away.
Really good. Delicious pizza and wine. Lovely chat with the owner (the only staff on a quiet Monday nightwho walked us through the pizza choices and the ingredients he had that day. Everything is fresh and organic and he clearly cares about his work - he was unhappy to be missing a couple of particular ingredients that night. It didnt matter to us. It was a splendid way to spend an evening.
Very authentic pizza, reminded me of the pizza I enjoyed in Italy. I highly recommend this place.
Food here is excellent. Hands down the most authentic Italian Restaurant in Ireland. Everything is very fresh from an owner that clearly loves the food and is extremely selective about the ingredients. Its a hidden gem. A must try.
This place is somewhat hidden, only has a few tables, and opening times seem irregular. Still though, a solid 5 star for the amazing roman pizzas they put on the table here. The prosciutto was freshly cut right before my eyes, and the dough had great flavour. Unfortunately I havent tried their (ever changingother dishes yet, but with such great pizzas its unlikely I ever will. Service was personal and kind as well. Definitely recommended!
Delicious Italian food! Everything is very fresh and the cook can adapt to what you want!Very small restaurant, so quite calm. Romantic in its kind of way :)
Very tasty, honest food, cibo vero! Carlo is very friendly, a great cook, and the restaurant is clearly more than a business, its a vocation - I wish there were more places like this in the city! The menu is small (always a good sign), and usually flexible, he is open to preparing ad hoc dishes - salads or sides. I suppose this is only possible because there are so few tables. I know I passed Toffoli many times when rushing down Castle St as a shortcut and thought that it looked great - all I can say is Im glad I actually tried it eventually. One of my favourite places to eat in Dublin.
1h 20 min waiting to eat a pizza with a reservation. The antipasti was good but overpriced and its price not in a menu so they csn charge yoh whatever they want. The food is good and the waitress nice though. 40eur = 1 pizza +antipasti. In my opinion slow and overprice
Super slow even with a reservation and a little bit overpriced, I dont like that theres no price for some of the dishes so the bill can be a surprise. The pizzas are really good, the dough is thin. The waitress is lovely
Best pizza in town. You fell welcomed from the minute you enter the door. The concept of the place is very unique. They have only 4 sets of table, so make sure you book in advance.
Hands down the best pizza I have had in Dublin! Such a cute place too! A real experience!
Possibly the best pizza Ive ever had, possibly the most expensive one too! No starters, no sides on offer, just pizza and tiramisu. Very authentic, your pepperoni and pancetta are sliced in front of you. About 4 tables available in here, one man show. He takes your order and makes your pizza too all with a warm smile! Only Erdinger available on the beer menu. Cant wait to return!
