MoreIt’s a fun place for kids.
The botanical garden in Zürich is perfect to visit during fall time as its not too hot to enjoy.
MoreMarvelous and very well maintained and organized! Very rich plants variety and beautifully pllaced. Good place for family and the little ones.
MoreWonderful garden, my son loved every corner of it and it was like an exotic adventure! Pity that the English legend was left toQR codes not properly working…
MoreSo much to see you need more than a day to see most of it !
Beautiful garden. Open for a picnic or the outdoor activities.
Very nice garden, plants that you don’t Find anywhere. Very nicely maintained. The tropical part is a must.
MoreGreat park to learn plants & other botanical exhibits. Local & foreign herbs & spices are grouped into common uses/functions/ habitat viz insectivorus, arid & pungent or fragrance. A little bit of forestry example - lumber & cone samples. An educational garden worth a few visits
MoreWonderful and beautiful place ❤️
Absolutely beautiful. Many many exotic plants that are worth watching and the place is open for public for free.
MoreProbably the most underrated place in Zürich. It is free, quiet, peaceful, serene, beautiful and you can learn stuff if you want to.
MoreWe booked a guided tour which was very informative and customised to the weather and our fitness. This place is beautiful and to be there and listen to facts and tales about some individual plants, makes a visit there even more special. One star less as the cafeteria was closed by 4 and no way our thirsty group would get some service at 5 past 4. Clearly no entrepreneurship there and the confirmation letter stated its open till 5.
MoreBeautiful botanical garden on campus. Its free to visit. A biodome that creates a tropical rainforest and a dry desert climate with an amazing variety of plants. Café, small lake, flowers, citrus fruits and crops from all over the world.
MoreIts really beautiful, with lots of informative signs (most only in Germanand a wide variety of plants. You can take a pram to most places too, all the paths are very well maintained. The three indoor areas are small, but lovely. Also theres a nice University cafe at the top on the hill.
MoreA really nice place not far from the city center. It is free of charge. There are a lot of different plants. Definitely would recommend visiting.
MoreYou have the feeling of being on a hike on montain roads. And then you come across the tropical and ecuatorial domes and their rich diversity of plants. They may not be huge, but they are lovely. Great place for a quiet walk, lots of things to see, and places to rest for a minute.
MoreVery nice and beautiful and peaceful place.Thank botanical workers for all hard work they do !Definitely will come back. Thank You.
MoreWent there on a rainy day during winter, so the outside garden was obviously kind of dead, but the inside "Bubble" were very interesting to see. Lots of different variation of plants and flowers and well maintained ! Its got to be a very nice during a sunny and warm day!
MoreIt is a very relaxed placed. If you are interested in about different floras you can check it out in one of the artifical domes.I highly recommend the botanical garden for one of the afternoons during your stay in Zurich. It is free of charge and easily accessible by public transportation.
MoreThis botanic garden is big, but not well taken care of. The only place which is organized is an exposition with vegetables and plants which require water.Botanic garden in Geneva is much better.
MoreA lovely park to spend some relaxing time on the weekend. Plenty of interesting plants and flowers to discover. Very quiet and suitable for chill out. Bring a blanket, you will enjoy laying down in the grass by the ponds. Entrance is also free, nearby parking allows only for up to 2 hours.
MoreExcellent botanical garden in Zurich. One can find some permanent plants and trees as well as many seasonal plants in the garden. In Spring and summer one can find exotic plants from around the world grown at the rear entrance of the botanical garden which are categorized into vegetables, spices, herbs, etc. The three tropical houses are a must visit as well. Great place to bring kids to teach them about plants and for adults to learn more about plants.
MoreLovely Place. Very Interesting and well organized Place. The three domes are a huge recomendation for everyone! It‘s free to visit and a nice place to hangout, picknick or just have a nice and calm walk. The personal might be a bit unfriendly. But as long as you don‘t stay until closing times you won‘t have to worry to run into one.
MoreGreat place to go in all seasons. The awesome greenhouses house tropical and warm climate plants that are great to see in winter.
MoreNice place un go on a sunny day and see a lot of exotic and very interesting plants from different parts of the world.
MoreA beautiful place with thousands of plants from all over the world. Medicinal plants, ornamental plants, trees, shrubs, spices, desert vegetation, great Amazon forest (great climate inside). You can sit down and rest. A place worth seeing!
MoreVery nice place if you have time to see and explore all those awesome plants from all over the world. And also if you dont have so much time, its worth a visit. Also a good place to enjoy and relax.
MoreBeautiful collection of foreign and native plants. There is a very interesting area with edible plants for example herbs but also linseed, coffee, tea, castor. Loved our visit, I really recommend to visit this garden when in Zürich.
MoreVery nice green houses with tropical, exotic plants. It is great to visit also in Winter when it is gray outside to enjoy some green, fresh view.
MoreOpen daily 8-17 (Mar-Sep 8-18), tropical glasshouses 9: 30-16: 45, free entry, free restrooms, cafeteria. No dogs, no bikes! Guided tours and events on offer. Large garden of the University of Zurich with countless plant species, old trees and rarities. They are classified and provided with signs. The lovingly decorated tropical showhouses are a feast for the eyes especially in winter days, amazing how many crops from agave to coffee to cinnamon can be seen here. Very interesting!
MoreI went during end of autumn. It was cold, quite, serene. Nobody would disturb you. I like the environment and surroundings.
MoreThis place is super nice. Still a lot of flowers for this time of the year. It is free. Not a lot of tourists. No parking on premises. I wish I had more time to spend there. Did I mention free?
Moreamazing, I get there without any expectations and have been amazed. It is a big botanic garden with various things to see. You should plan a longer time if you don‘t want to rush through. You can discover a lot during a chill walk through the garden. Parking is about 3CHF first hour and additional 2CHF for every added hour.Perfect place to explore and bless your brain
MoreSad I didnt get inside the domes, as they closed at 5pm. Beautiful park in the heat of Zurich! Very easy to reach after a few minutes walk from the nearby tram station. Definitely check it out!
MoreAn amazing place to pull up a chair and relax, entrance is free but come early if you want to visit the signature domes. Depending on the time of the year the domes close a few hours before the park (which closes around seven)
MoreA beautiful location to escape the bustling city and streets. The gardens are beyond peaceful and theres plenty of room to relax, hang out and explore. The best part are the three glass domes you can walk through. I had a blast seeing all the amazing flowers and plants, and cooling off in the rainforest dome under the "rain." Best part was that hardly anyone was inside the domes so we basically had the place to ourselves. If youre looking for a tranquil and beautiful place to visit, you cant pass this place up. Plus its free!
MoreCompact but world class botanical garden surrounding Zurich Universitys plant research department. Delightful way to spend an afternoon.
MoreBeautiful and impressive. Loved seeing the plants and enjoying the ppace with my kids. They were so fascinated by the plants and info boards they forgot to run around wildly ..... which is preferred by the garden ;)
MoreSuper. Really well done and organised botanical garden. For a free-entry it is perfect. The tropical area ist stunning. Always a good choice to go there. Also just if you want to have a nice chill in the sun.
MoreLovely spot for a walk, unfortunately when we visited the tropical plants areas were closed off! However there was still some pretty views and nice plants to look at.
MoreGreat outing while in Switzerland! Good for a rainy or sunny day! It is free to enter and stroll about at your own leisure. There are gardens and ponds and amazing biodomes. They house cacti, tropical plants, and other flora and fauna. It is a bit of a walk from the main part of town, but a nice stroll and worth it!
MoreVery nice exotic and beautiful place with a magnificent variety of plants. Defenetly worth the visit.
MorePerfect place! Really nice to visit at least for a few hours
Botanical gardens are rather small but nonetheless definitely worth a visit, there are three greenhouses each with different climate inside all open for free as well as a lot of pretty flowers and plants blooming outside in the open.
MoreNice garden, at the moment in renovation but even for a cold January day, a perfect get away for families with kids to go! Highlight: deck on high tree! Kids love it!
MoreWe visited in the winter so much was sleeping. But the setup and the fact that its free to visit is great. Highly recommend for an exploratory day.
MoreIts a huge garden with plants from all over the world — most of them with labels, so you can learn their families, latin and german names. There are also greenhouses with plants that prefer warmer climate — but beware, they are not available after 5 p.m.Lots of benches to sit on, not much people around, so this place is great for quiet thinking and resting.
