Bota MoMo - Jhochhen in Kirtipur

Ok i hv long story. Yesterday, i went to Bota JHOCHHEN to have some lunch and chit chat with my sister. we met after really long time as i was abroad and we had lot lot lot to share. we reached bota@12pm. we thought to have some drink first (we were not so hungryand other main menu later on so that we can get more time for ourself. we ordered banana lassi(for which they said they dont have), then we altered with sweet lassi. and ask to leave main menu with us so that we cn order later on. we were having good time. After 20min suddenly one girl came and said "yetikai lassi matra khayera kura garnu vanda kei khaja lidai kura garnu hunchha ki". we were like, why this suggestion in mid of our good conversation. Its upto us, khaja khadai kura garos ki chiya piudai ki lassi piudai. we said we will do later on. But time and again they were looking at us. making us really embarrass and uncomfortable. Bota was really empty at that time to feel we are covering the busy space for other. at 1pm we ordered some main course. and we were about to finish and deciding to order some more or just some cappuccino. then suddenly again, another girl came and gave us the bill. 1st thing, we had not finished what we were eating and 2nd thing we were planning to order some more. why so rush to handover bill which we havent asked for? even though they gave us bill we ordered cappuccino, they said they dont have. Really!!! then we paid the bill and felt like talking to some responsible person there about making us feel we  just came there to have few bucks lassi and spend 3hours. and they didnt hd anything that we ordered like banana lassi and cappuccinos. person said coffee machine is damaged. but being a waiter, she should had explained us abt coffee machine and ask us if we would prefer anything else. she just said "Chhaina re". Such a service. i had been to Bota Kamalpokhari. i never faced this kind of service there, even if the restaurant is so busy. there is one boy so welcoming and even asked me and my husband for the food review. i expected same service at all bota branch. but Jhochhhen service is horrible. and yes, i had to call so many time to add up one pepsi "excuse me excuse me" vanda ni guff ma busy. Guys its not i dont recommend bota.. but i dont recommend bota JHOCHHEN. About food, no complain for food.

Their interior design is amazing. Honestly In my point of view I tried their momo twice but the taste wasn’t as good as I expect.

The place was good. We can find many variety of mo:mo And we can find other items too. The service was fast. Its was great experience.

This time we had Jhol momo and Sadkheko momo (both Buff). The soup in Jhol momo was really creamy and delicious. The taste felt quite different than other momo places, in a positive way!Sadheko momo was our first try here. Loved it! Gave chatpate vibes, and we lived for it.However, price is a little expensive than other places, but worth it. Although, never have local momo here! It is exactly the same like other places, however, more expensive!All in all , good food.

The quality and taste of the momos have really degraded than before. I was very disappointed by today’s momo that I ate. They were literally frozen momos that were heated and served. The moment I picked it with my fork, the momo all broke out. The sauce also not good. The momos were so small than before too. The quality really doesn’t match with the price. For that price of momos we expect good and freshly made momos. Hope you bring back the original quality and taste of the Bota’s momo.The only thing I liked was the service and the staffs were very good and friendly.

It is one of the best momo franchise in the valley. Bota momo has been growing rapidly. The momo are also really good with variety of sauce. There are various choices in momo itself. And there are also other menus except momo. The place is hygienic and clean. And the green and white colour designing has make the place really ambient. But is is little expensive for normal people.

Was curious to try Bota so popped in after lunch elsewhere. At the entrance, we received a warm and friendly hospitality by Roshan Pant. Asked staff for their one best dish and the Premium Mixed Momo was recommend.We were asked if we wanted to sit upstairs which we did. On the way, stumbled upon the board where the mission and vision is presented. Not many business think to do it but kudos for that!Upstairs was more cozy, family restaurant vibe where people could enjoy their food.We sat in one of the corner table to the street. The cleaning was top notch. Besides the table and chairs, the fans, aircon, sauce table, napkin holders, walls were impeccably clean.They had done proper advertising in walls and napkin holder. It did not look too much for the nature of the restaurant.We were provided the Wi-Fi password and greeted while our food arrived. The mixed momo presentation was eye-catching afterall it is what makes people want to try. I walked to the sauce station liked how they had infos on different momos. Clean cutleries, plenty of sauce variety and mouth freshener. The momo tasted pretty good. For just chicken and pastry, it is a good variety that they tried out. Thumbs up for that.Went to the toilet, was neat and had everything you needed to finish your business.The staffs were neatly dressed, caps and shirt is always a presentable attire. They were also sanitizing the tables.On our way out, we were greeted again.Thanks for that experience to all the Bota Team.Overall, it was very satisfied experience. I would visit again and recommend the restaurant. I am giving 9/10 only because there is always room for improvement.On the other note(this for the admins), I find the advertisement "chitto mitho and sasto" quite insignificant.Momo has been an instant food, always delicious and no body liked to pay a fortune to enjoy a plate.Moreover, if I were to enjoy a cheap/sasto momo, I would be going in on one of the many stalls outside which is why I feel it us delivering a wrong message. You want to be famous because you have set this standard not becoz you are cheap!Maybe, "Delivering Steam of Happiness" could be a good one.All the best.

Amazing momos at reasonable prices. Good service. Professional staff. I wish the coffee was served in a glass or ceramic cup rather than plastic cups. Other than that the food was delicious. We had open momo and kothey momo and both were delicious. The place was clean and well managed.

The Chi-chi rolls at Bota are just amazing. I tried a smoothie and it was one of the best I have tasted in Nepal. The staff are hospitable and although it is a bit more expensive than other places, I think the service plus healthy and tasty food makes up for it.

Yes.. Great taste. Its a chain Market. So great year all over. One of the draw back is you have to pay before you eat. So somebody like me! Find this a lil odd

Five stars for the quality and taste of this Bota Chain. Like any other Bota outlet this one is also simmilar but bit small.. being in the center of the city dont expect to get here on your four wheeler. Two wheeler parking is also minimal but the guards do manage some space. One star less for the price and lack of parking. I guess international quality does have its price to be paid.

I am very embarrassed that they want us to even pay for water, you cant I impose customer for mineral water. In the meantime classic Momo is giving free soup and pop corn you guys are asking even to pay for water thats terrible. Have always been fan of your Momo but this time I got very disappointed.

Non that competitive price for all level of peopleBut i have heard the interview of owner that .. they introduce one new dish as per the establishment of new outlet.. Thats quite a thing of a business mind..Super spicy chipschilly are best for spicy food lovers and you got to take a strawberry smoothie to cool down your burning throat!!

Little overpriced place. According to its name it should serve the best and tasty momo but its not the case. Momo is average here. The only thing is, you get the extra types of achaar. Thats it. Other than momo the chicken items are good.

Since the momo outlets are commercial and probably the chefs are not long tine cooks and only quickly trained employees, the taste is not so good. Quick and clean but the momo is just tasteless, specially the wrappings are as chewy as rubber.

Really Good than other Bota Branches. Khaja Set is really delicious. Though the price is little high than comparing other restaurant, foods are good. Regarding the environment, its good and lovely. One thing I dont like about Bota is the self service, We pay really high cost for the service but its self service. Beside this everything is fine. Even the achar(pickleof Mo:Mo have so many varieties. We can choose which one we like and can take as per our will. You can try Bota Momo of this place if you have try in other places because I found delicious Momo here comparitively than other places.

This is like small world of momos. So many varieties of momo from fried to steam to soup. Really happy to see places like this opened up here in Nepal. The interior was pretty impressive. All the staff were very polite & friendly. Loved the jhol momo, if I have another chance to go will definitely try the chhoila momo.

Open Mo:Mo here is just wow! Varieties of achaar and the peace you get within the place is much appreciable. Well, self service was abit of bore but with friends even that went interesting! Foodies don’t miss your taste here!

I flew back to my country after 3 years a lot of things have been changed. I heard about this place and i was like lets give a try . It was so good and mouth watery . Each and every dishes was like out of this world. I miss our one only favorite momo . Highly recommended

Place where you can experience the different varieties of momo like fried momo soup momo jhol momo chocolate momo chicken buff momo and many more. Quit expensive but you definitely gonna be satisfied fully. its located at basantapur and kumaripati as far as I know. hospitality is really aweaome here. Pay you before order is a good idea. definitely visit once when you all are around this location

Bota MoMo has been around for a while, but I never did put much though on it as we just have so many momo joints around the valley. You kindda have your own place where you get your momos actually. But Bota has surprised me completely as we un-decidedly went in just to check it out at Freak Street. The first thing we saw was that it wasnt anything like the usual momo places or big fancy restaurants by the way the store is set up; its rater new, clean and efficiently designed. The staffs are humble, pay it as you order it system they have also makes less of the hassle as momos are something you eat and go. When our momos came in bowl it looked really great and the size of momos youll love it, theyre decently big enought (bigger than what most provide you). And then the jhol, oo its great. Calling it great is and understatement, it was so good it brought me back my childhood memories, the same taste and quality you used to get like 15 years back. Turns out they have made and improvisation and have their own new jhols as well, remarkable. This might be just the best momo Ive ever eaten in my entire life, definitely the best in the past 5 years or so.And then they provide newari Khaja set as well, the chwaela came out with the same taste as what we get at home and most of our newari festivals.This place, honestly, I speak of very highly, I recommend to everyone. Specially if youre a newar, this is your place. I regret that I tried only lately. Much love!

A great variety of momos available at a cheap rate. And as I believe one of the few places that serves 10 pieces of momos to this day. The staffs are very welcoming and food delicious. The must try is the open momo.

Bota simply momo is one and only mood soother place where our craving for momo is fullfied by the varities of momo dishes served at a same floor. Its worth trying Chhat Momo here👌coz youll get to find a very unique taste being a foodiee. & a new recipie of finding Choclate Momo so so yummylicious must try.

Momo chat was very tasty, portions are pretty big for one girl)Don’t expect too much from the ambiance, it is super simple diner-like (and not the one with couches;)place, not super clean, but spacious and bright. There’s more than one floor so I would recommend to go upstairs, feels and looks better.

Good place for a quick snack. Ample seating arrangement so you do not need a prior reservation. Make sure you park in new road, there is no parking space in the restaurant. The jhol momo was good, so were sandheko momo, steam momo, but the open momo was terrible. The sauces were sweet and just made out of ketchup, didnt look like it was made in a restaurant but by some kid living in a hotel. They do need to improve on that. The momos had lots of aginomotoo , so migh limit the number that you eat. Its okay for a quick bite.

A little tiny Bota Momo outlet, they should really call it Bota express as there is hardly any seatings. Considering they are right in the middle of Jhonchen its understandable..food no different than any other Bota outlets as in the taste , all the food they do must come out from the same factory. Decent ,quick service. Signature Bota assorted sauces are available in one corner. Its definitely a good place to go in for a quick bite.

I do not usually write bad reviews about any place, but this place was actually a disappointment. If I have to describe the place in two words, they would be overhyped and overrated. There are definitely better restaurants in town which provide you with better service, and more importantly, better momos.

We went to this place twice. The first time, it was okay, not that great. But we had major issues the second time. Wed been to the Kamalpokhari branch and the service as well as the quality of food was great there. Of course, our expectations were high from this place too. But to our surprise, the customer service at this branch was terrible. Even the food did not compensate the service provided. Their motto, sasto, mitho, chito, sounds like a joke. Had it been a good service and food, wed not have any problems with the price. We had to wait for over 45 minutes to get our food, and when we asked why other tables which came after us already had their meals served, they blatantly replied saying that it will still take a while. After about an hour, we were served a terribly bad food. This place is definitely not recommended if the service as well as the food is not improved.

Love the place at Jhochhen. Nice place, varieties of momo and chutni too taste.Abit expensive but worth visiting . My favourite open chicken momo upto now ...

I really dont write bad reviews for momo place but this time, i had to. First of all, I wanted to try the momos on this place because so many people were talking about it. Sadly the momos didnt meet upto my expectations. Also the price. Beleive me, This place is totally overrated. For the same money I could get some really tasty, big (literallyand fat free momos at delicious momo , Jamal. The service is okay~ish, but the food sucks so totally not worth it. Just goto delicious momo (if youre eating on the basantapur branch), save your time and money. Youre welcome.
