Boston Pizza - Pizza restaurant in Kindersley, Canada
Very good. The food was all fresh and great quality. Service was very good
Absolutely wow! Over charged, over cooked steak, draft tastes old, hardly any dressing on ceaser salad, no gravy with mashed potatoes. I dont feel well after consuming beer.Staff was friendly, and I still tipped 18%Ill go back to Kindersley Inn
Good food. Consistent with other BPs.
Very poor services, expect to wait 30 minutes before being helped.
They missed all of the sides with all 3 kids meals. We picked it up as we were driving through so were 30 min away when we noticed. We were told we would be reimbursed for what was missed or sent a voucher for in the future and never received anything or heard back.
Good food and service! Thank you!
Service was pretty bad. Waited up front for 5 min for a table and the cook actually came out. Then still no server with only 3 tables full. Went to the lounge, 8 min to be served and well the first beer came in decent time, if another 10 min is normal? Food came out and both pizzas were under cooked but yet somehow crust was burnt... its actually impressive how one could screw up a pizza that bad. Tables were disgusting and sticky. I never knew boston pizza could be this bad. I will say the server was not by any means at fault and she still got a tip. Not her fault the manager cant run a business properly. I hope I dont get diarrea tonight.Edited update: Got the diarrea... knew I shouldnt have eaten an uncooked pizza... gross.
Just dropped by for a pizza take out and the service was just amazing.
If I could give less than a star I would. No one ever upfrontSat in lounge, waited 15 mins. (Not busy with two servers)Had to go up and ask for menus. Tables werent cleaned.Took another 15 mins for drinks. Then another 10 to take our order. Now if the server is busy, or having a rough night and just even acknowledge us to be like "hey I will be over asap just trying to catch up" boom instantly understandable. But outright dodging and ignoring tables is mind-boggling.Food was ok, expected for a Boston pizza.Waited 20 mins for someone to come by to refill drinks or check to see if food was proper. Then waited for bills and payment for a while I stopped timingDidnt Even want to speak to a manager because that would of probably taken another 20mins.For a franchise owner I would be embarrassed to run a business like this.Only take away I can say is I had one meal left for my life Id pick this restaurant because it would take 8 years for it to show up.Youre better off ordering take out and going there and sitting down with it.This is multiple times with similar experiences not even just one person or server.
Wed 25th May 2022.Stopped for supper at Boston Pizza Kindersley, Sk. on my way to Calgary.I was greeted by a nice young lady and seated in the main dining area.I had waited for around 20 mins for someone to ask if I would like a drink or to order something to eat, but it never happened. While I was waiting however, a group of around 6 or 7 entered and was seated right away. The server went directly to the group and asked if they would like to order.Thats when I decided to stand up and leave. Is a person on their own waiting at a table for some service for 20 mins any less valuable than a group ?... apparrently so ....it seems.I spoke to one of the servers to voice my concerns and said I was not happy about being totally ignored in favour of a larger group ( bigger tip from them i suppose ).The young server just said to me... have a good night....I walked out in disgust and without any food or drink.I WILL DEFINITELY NOT GO THERE AGAIN.
The food is what you expect, but they always seem so understaffed for as busy as they are. Nothing happens quickly there.
Wait time to order was a little long but pizza was excellent!
Almost broke my tooth on what looks to be an olive pit that was hidden in my nachos.mushrooms in my chicken and mushroom fettuccine were not cooked and was barely any sauce even tho I had paid for extra. There was barely any au jus for my Boston brute.. and too top everything off this was a takeout order so when my husband returned home with our order to find the cactus cuts were missing from the bag he had to drive all the way back to get them. By the time he got back home and we could eat everything was cold. Waste of $70.
Hours of service suck! Dropped by on a Thursday at 8:45pm, said they were closing and I would not be served. I will never stop at a overpriced, below par food at any Boston Pizza again. Always bad service and below standards food.
Very Terrible service. Waitress brought my drink and took order never seen her again. Ordered a steak and gave me no cutlery. Waitresses stand and gossip behind counter whole establishment should be fired
We always stop by at this Boston whenever we are on the highway. They provide a best customer service and very well prepared food. Very impressed !!
I never do these reviews but I feel this needs to be addressed. We sat in the lounge, didn’t get served, thought maybe not open yet. Waited to be seated at the restaurant waited and waited finally seated. Waited for them to come take our order for at least 15 minutes, almost ready to leave when the waitress came to our table. Ordered, we didn’t get our drinks until after our food arrived. Apparently they forgot. Our waitress was wonderful she apologized for drink mishap said the manager was coming to talk to us about it. She never did. The restaurant was not busy. We paid our bill and left. This is very likely the worst Boston Pizza I have ever been in and there have been a lot it’s our go to restaurant. I will never go to the one in Kindersley again.I would not recommend this one at all.
My girlfriend and I used to love this place and go here all the time. There now must be new management or new cooking staff as the drinks are not made correctly and the food coming out of the kitchen is unsatisfactory. I love spending money on a nice dining and drinking experience but if I cant get a drink made correctly or food made fresh to order I will not be returning. Cold fries and a cold chicken sandwich is not worth $25. Do yourself a favor and dine somewhere else. 0 stars out of 5.
Unfortunately can’t give 0 stars, ordered food at 8:00, my stater, meal and to go all came at the same time but the to go was not in a to go container so I let them know. It’s been 30 min since then and I still have not been given cutlery to eat with or been checked on. Not sure if it’s an under staffing issue but it’s baaaadddd
Tried to order delivery and they only deliver to the hotel adjacent to their location. How can you offer delivery when you only deliver to one place?
Awful! Last time we were in Kindersley we ordered for take out and they didnt even place the order. This time we ordered a large Boston royal pizza, there was very little toppings and it was all on top of the little bit of cheese for $40 ridiculous. Again just terrible dont waste your money. We wont be going back 🤑
Just a friendly reminder to the customers that are rude to the wait staff. When the establishment is packed and the kitchen is backing up…don’t yell at the wait staff.I can say that it’s pretty obvious that the restaurant/lounge is going to be slower than normal when there isn’t a single free table.I enjoyed being able to people watch and all of the TV’s were working perfectly. Plus I enjoyed my conversation time. At least the drinks kept flowing.
We stopped in for supper on our way through. The food was decent, and representative of BPs. Service was a bit spotty. It could have been related to the whole reopening after the covid 19 shut down, as it just reopened for dine in. Staff seemed a bit unsure of protocols and stand offish. At any rate, we managed to get a decent supper and back on the road.
The service was real good. Have been there a lot. Place is very clean. Excellent food every time.
Worst Boston Pizza I have ever visited. Started off with no ice tea, and the pasta dish I wanted.. then when the orders came out, they F@#$%? Up the pizza.. no ranch, no chillis or parm.. place is tapped! Wont return. Panago Pizza in the hotel is 100 times more enjoyable..
The Caesar salad had way to much salad dressing on it. I couldnt even eat it. I let the serve know and she said I through so too. . She forgot to order my sons food but that happens sometime I guess. She looked like she had to much on the go.
Place was clean and not crowded. Food was delicious.
Food was delicious, hour and half wait, new customers received orders way before ours. Waitress was unprofessional, came back after half an hour to ask if she took our order and wouldnt say that she forgot to put our order in the first time...
Good Covid protocol in place.Friendly staff.Chicken pecan salad was enjoyable enough. Seemed to be lacking on the dressing but still tasty. We had ordered an appy but waitress either didnt write it down or didnt give it to the kitchen because we never got it and there was no charge on the bill.Overall, its BPS typical experience.
Thank you for a good experience eating out for the 1st time since Covid-19. You presented a safe environment and thank you to your employees for being there for us. Food was excellent.
We just had a lovely experience at the Boston Pizza Kindersley! We ordered delivery and the delivery man was so pleasant! Our food arrived quickly, still warm and was delicious! I can’t speak highly enough about the service - just so lovely!
Come to Kindersley lots for work and this is a pretty regular spot for me. Last night we walked in at 10pm, we didnt even open the menu and orders our usual Appy hour wing order, a while later, the server brought out a regular order for myself to the tune of 13.99 and a double order for my friend to the tun of 20.99, as opposed to $5 per order.we started eating and asked our server if they were the Appy hour ones we asked for when she returned (certainly on use for starting to eat). She said she assumed because we didnt ask for an Appy hour menu, it was not Appy hour wings, she assumed we wanted the regular.Overall, push came to shove and she decided to argue with us as opposed to mending the situation appropriately, even after we asked o speak with a manager. The manager came, and clarified what she had been told by the server. She claimed Appy hour isnt that popular so unless people ask for an Appy hour menu, it is assumed they want the regular order of anything. Communication issues or not, a single order of 8 wings for 13.99 vs. 2 orders of 5 wings for $10 is common sense, and you would think a server would suggest it to a customer if the situation came up. At the end of the day, I would certainly leave 1 star for this experience, however, the manager eventually gave us the wings under the Appy hour pricing to alleviate the issue, and I will therefore give it a 2.I was frustrated with the amount of arguing went into justifying the communication error before any attempt to alleviate the issue. Could be an off day as we have had great service from the exact same server.Maybe make the giant Appy hour in the front door more noticeable? If you go, make sure you are clear with your order, and make sure zero assumptions are made.
I ordered take out from here on the weekend on our way home. We ordered a salad, wings, and ribs. The salad did not have any dressing on it and the wings were supposed to come with ranch. By the time we realized that neither one was with our order it was too late to turn around. I sent a complaint on the website and got an email saying that someone would get back to me within two business days. I still have not had a response. This has been some of the worst customer service that I have ever had.
I love Boston Pizza!! But this waiter was being rude and interrupting us mostly mainly my Aunt, and I felt uncomfortable when she always came around to us and said "What do you want family" or "Are you done!🤬" or "Hows agoing family😚" It was very uncomfortable like really uncomfortable. The other waiters there were very nice so thank you!So thats why Im rating this 4 stars, if that incident didnt happen then it would have been a five stars!
Got there with little to no people, waited 15 minutes before getting to order. Drink finished at this point, put it at the edge of the table for a refill, food comes 15 minutes later, drops the food off and leaves. No refill. Total of about an hour, with 10 minutes of eating and the rest waiting for the bill. Only saw our server twice this entire time. Not the best service.
Last time I gave 5 stars but after tonights experience I wont be eating here again. Only giving 2 stars because the service was great. Went there with friends and our one friend ordered a pasta with alfredo sauce. There was do little sauce on it that all of us thought they forgot the sauce. The waitress took it back only to be basically told too bad if they want more they sauce they have to pay. The servers felt do bad that they offered to pay for the extra sauce. Whoever us running the kitchen obviously doesnt understand customer satisfaction or service.
If could give no stars I would. Never seen such poor customer service from kitchen manager. There is actually supposed to be sauce on the pasta and when asked was told there would be a charge for it. Pasta is to come with sauce you would think. Servers were excellent and very apologetic for what happened but kitchen manager had no concerns it seems. Food was cool not hot and wasnt busy so how can it be cool to the touch. Customer satisfaction is not priority for this Boston pizza and only saving grace is the excellent service from the servers
Driving through and needed a quick stop for some food. BPs usually doesnt disappoint but tonight it did. Wasnt super busy but took them awhile to seat us and the another 10 minutes to even have our server acknowledge us. The food was okay, def not great. Our server barely spoke to us or took the time to check in with us. Then when we were done it took over 10 more minutes. We make the trip through town a few time a year, we definitely wont be stopping in again
Not perfect yet, but great place to bring kids. They have colouring/activity books with pictures of the kid meal options (reasonable price for what you get), crayons, and crackers/spoon right away for babies to play with/eat. Some waiting and miscommunication between our server and what we needed, but thats expected in a new restaurant. Great view of the prairie. Food tasted like it should, like every other BP. The bar side looked packed for a Friday night! Restaurant had lots of open tables.
Only franchise restaurant Im aware of in Kindersley. Its Boston Pizza. You been to one, youve been to them all. Can really only comment on the staff as the food is carbon copy from one to the next and in this case, the staff is great. I felt they werent just there to drop off your food and bolt. Often checking back to make sure everything was fine and asking if you needed anything like refills. They were happy to be there I felt. Interested in conversation granted it wasnt overly busy when we went. Im sure like most other hostess positions, when its busy the hustle is on but for us that night, they were very sociable. Was really nice actually. Made the visit feel more personal and hospitable. Weve frequented there many times when passing through town and will continue to do so. Certainly a place where the people make it worth the visit.
Ordered our food, it took 45 minutes at least before we were told one of our dishes was no longer available. Thats after they told us they were fixing the original dish. Very disappointing experience. And this is after my terrible experiences with Calgary Boston pizzas
Stayed at the Canalta Hotel (same parking lotwhich had a deal with this Boston Pizza. A percentage off the order and free delivery. We ordered online and had it for pickup. Hubby went to pickup and while he was gone a delivery person showed up at my door.I was shocked as we had it for pickup. The lady said it was a mistake in the system and was put down for delivery. I did not have money ready and I had a cranky toddler trying to sleep. The lady was very nice about it as she had to wait for me to shuffle to find payment. The one meal was great (the other sub-parhowever we were charged for delivery!! We had to pay a delivery charge for them to walk a couple steps across the parking lot when it was advertised as free.. and we didnt even want it in the first place? Seriously? Not impressed with the pickup mistake, the pizza not being very good and the extra charge.Lesson learned, double check everything.
Food was just ok. But at 11pm the chances of getting a steak cooked the way you like are slim to none. Regardless, after eating my meal I walked up to pay with cash. The waitress automatically assumed she was getting an $8 tip on a $30 meal. After waiting a few minutes she asked if I was waiting for change and proceeded to pull out nickles and dimes. She got the tip she wanted, but lost a repeat customer.I’m sure I can find another place with better service, and a waitress that doesn’t assume she gets a 30% tip!
Visiting Boston pizza was a great experience in the past in Calgary but this one is definitely not worth any of people’s time or money. We walk in and was looked at like we were stupid, from the (host/possibly manager as she looked older and was wearing different clothing the the servers). We waited there for a few minutes until we were asked “can I help you” as if we were not there to eat and then she told us to go put our half drinken Tim’s coffees back in the car because “we sell hot chocolate here so you can’t bring that in”. We were then seated with a small lunch menu in front of us and no normal menu with more options on it. Then we met are horrible server brandy, she came up and asked us what we wanted to drink and when we all said water she got upset and left with a very sarcastic okay. Then when she returned we asked her if there was a normal menu to look at and she corrected us immediately saying “you mean the supper menu”, and we said “no just the normal menu that shows all the restraunt food options” and she said “okay so the supper menu” and then had to very Rudely point out to us, as if we were 5 that we have the lunch menu and I will grab you the supper menu. At that point we were not impressed at all. This was possibly the worst service and treatment that we have ever experienced so we decided not to tip and trust me we always tip! When we got up to pay the bill 2 of us started walking towards the exit as the other one was paying the bill with out a tip. When he was done paying the bill Brandy stood at the booth entrance for a few seconds not letting him leave. When we proceeded to exit brandy ran up to the front and rudely said “you know I pay for you to sit in our restaurant” and we responded “we had horrible service” to which she responded “you are a horrible person”. Since we are not classless people and don’t have bad temper like Brandy we proceeded to walk out, and then Brandy felt the need to then storm outside to our car and say “just so you know you are not welcome back here” .Terrible experience!!And none of this was exaggerated!Brandy need to learn good customer service and learn to control her temper.
Walked in....they ALL ignored us (assuming because we are Asianand looked at us as if they didn’t know what we were. Two of us were holding Tim Horton’s cups that we had from before and the older lady at the front told us “we serve hot chocolate here” so we put our Tim’s cups back in the car.We got there at about 2:00pm and we were given a small lunch menu and a Holiday page, and when I asked our waitress, Brandy, if we could get the full menu, she rudely told me that if I want the supper menu then tell her I want the supper menu! In Calgary, our Boston Pizza’s do not make us call their menu a “supper menu”. They give us the menu and if it’s lunch time, they might give us the lunch menu as well. Brandy was obnoxious and seemed to be annoyed when we asked for the full menu, because apparently, we were supposed to know to call it the “supper menu”. Personally, I think I would choose the term “dinner menu” as it sounds much classier. When Brandy asked us what we wanted to drink, we ordered water (we are not big alcohol drinkers and we typically order water to drink), and she seemed mad that we were only ordering water. We decided from the beginning that we were not going to tip Brandy because she was so rude.We were all getting up out of the booth, all except the one paying the bill. When he did not tip her, she stood beside the booth chair where he was sitting and would not let him get out for a few seconds. She then came running after us and met up with the other two of us at the front door and rudely said “do you know we have to pay for you to sit here?”, and she proceeded to go on about how its money out of her pocket. I responded by saying “we had horrible service”, to which she yelled “you are a horrible person!” as we were walking out the door.We got in our car, and she came storming out to our car and when we rolled down the window, she said “just so you know....you are not welcome to come back here!”This is exactly how it went, no exaggerating or leaving out anything that was said either by her or us. We did nothing to disrespect her or be rude to her and certainly nothing to be “banned” from Boston Pizza!I didn’t think a waitress had the right to refuse patrons soley because she did not get a tip, and trust me, we ALWAYS tip!!Awful experience!!!! BRANDY, the server needs to practice better control of her temper - especially at her place of employment when dealing with customers.
We went as a family of four. Everyone enjoyed their meal, my wifes steak was done perfect and our server was excellent. We dont eat out often and this was one of the best Boston pizza experiences Ive had.
Boston Pizza has excellent quality control in all of its establishments. This is no exception. A menu with a wide number of choices both traditional and more trendy was presented. The service was excellent and fast. The facility was clean and comfortable.
This place was honestly really good the first few days it was open probably because they had trained staff come in to help the new franchise, but now as the restaurant sits its terrible. Every time Ive come here its either extremely slow service or uncooked food. Im talking either my pasta is raw and still crunchy or my chicken is pink. I only now come here if friends or family owe me something and are paying me in food. I hope things improve here as the next closest BPs where I live is two hours away
Maybe I got a good waitress, maybe people complain easily, but the service here was just fine. The food was pretty good as well, except the pizza burger didnt really have a taste... it just "was".Cool thing to note: if you stay at the Canalta beside the BP you get a 15% discount. ALRIGHT!
Really poor service. Was waiting for more people to show up and a table near us was told "are more people coming? You need to figure out if more people are coming because we are gonna be busy soon".Slow it nonexistent service, such as drinks not being refilled for about 10-20 minutes, unless your drinking alcohol Ive noticed.Just seems as if the staff arent trained.Foods good though.
