Lovely food, friendly staff and a nice place in all.

Lovely brunch and staff were top marks

5 star location, 1 star customer service. 8:25 pm yesterday evening was hoping to be served food. Knew timing was a bit on the later side. Asked bar man albeit more a younger teen with the customer service knowledge of a twig if food was still being served.Reply: "We stopped servin at 8. Ya should have come sooner" needless to say left and up the road is Goosers. Where staff are friendly, professional and food was delighful.

We were in Bóruma on Saturday and the staff were so friendly and helpful ( even though we were a little boisterous....sorry 😜live music that night was really good! Thanks for making our day such good fun!

Lovely pub, where we got 2 pints for €10 which is very rare these days, great spot to watch a match. Nice staff and we will definitely return especially to try the menu 👌

Amazing food and staff are so friendly. Highly recommend Boruma. Family friendly aswell. Beautiful views of the lough and bridge. Prices are very reflextive of the high standard of food served. Defo a must visit if your nearby. 🥰🥰🥰

First visit was good for a chicken burger.Second visit was terrible: Nachos and the pizza were very bad for a gastro pub, probably wont go back.Id recommend they fix their wood fired oven for pizza and do it right.Take nachos off the menu if you cant make them properly. very poor. all out of a can and tube of cheese and served cold.

Walked up at 2:15 to a half empty dining room and were asked if we had a booking. When we said no, we were refused seating and told to “maybe come back in 30 minutes” to try again. No thanks. Go ahead and assume that if you don’t have a booking, you won’t get a table no matter how empty they are.

I arrived by boat into killaloe 1.11.21 and walked across the bridge to boruma for a bite to eat. Signs outside were offering food and heated areas. I went in to the bar where 2 people were sitting at the end of the bar having a pint. The rest of the establishment was empty. I was looking for my covid cert to show the bar person but was informed that they were not actually open. They were booked for a function. I am on my boat since dining aboard and seen nothing happening there. Very strange place turning away custom but there place I guess. I would not recommend on these grounds.

The staff are very kind and the food is excellent. Great views nearby and in the restaurant. Will defenetely go back there whenever we are nearby.

Five of us ate here for lunch; nice table overlooking the river (although it would be even better if you could see the water!Lovely food, good service, reasonable prices. Will definitely be back.

Food is average (but it would be hard to expect emphasis on a kitchen in such tourist location). It offers great views of the river from upstairs terrace and tables across the street. Nice place for a quick brake or refreshments on your way.

Extremely rude staff member when we enquired about a table for two. Luckily the venue next door (Flanagan’swere extremely accommodating with great ambience and food.

Left this reply and when i left the restraunt i was confronted by 2 staff members giving out to me telling me to take the review down. Very unprofessional to do this. After i said the staff was nice and gave them a decent tip i wiah i hadnt now. Disgraceful.Food is garbage. Pints are lovely and so are the staff.

Stopped at Boruma Gastro Bar for lunch today and so glad that we did 😊We were seated quickly in their roof top seating area, plenty of shade and great background music 😎Excellent menu, with lots of choice and great vegetarian options were offered for my daughter 👍Food was so tasty and filling. The staff were absolutely fantastic, so friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble and they made the whole experience such a pleasure 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟We will most definitely be back ♥️

Not a good experience, food OK but the staff need some training in courtesy with the customers, It felt like they were doing us a favour. I paid the reasonable cost of the food and drink and added a 6 euros tip. Expecting a happy response only to be told by the staff member No bother.Gee thanks for excepting my gratuity..

Love this place, always have the most friendly accommodating staff and delicious food served daily. 10/10 would recommend. Beautiful upstairs terrace with covered seating and Riverside seating also available. Staff cant do enough for you and its great to see a local business doing so well and being supported by a wonderful community. Kudos to the Boruma Management & Team. A great employer of locals also 🙌

Came to killaloe during the beautiful weather and decided to stop in to boruma for a meal. We had the most delicious food and had a gorgeous view of the Shannon from the rooftop terrace. I ordered a burger and my wife had the chicken skewers. Very tasty. Will definitely be calling back again!

Recently visited passing through the beautiful twin towns of Ballina/ Killaloe and was wonderfully surprised at the fabulous Boruma Gastro Bar on the River Shannon. I was greeted by a lovely young woman at the door who was friendly and guided us to the upstairs rooftop seating area. I must say it is absolutely beautiful with gorgeous views across the River Shannon. I had the most wonderful meal here and thoroughly enjoyed my time and would definitely pop in to this hidden gem again.If anyone is looking for top class service, gorgeous food and beautiful views then this place has it all. Very rude staff that refused to seat a group of 4 people because we were only ordering coffees. They had free tables. Two staff members then followed us out onto the street shouting at us because we said we would not come back.

Excellent service and great food, and the Guinness was great as well. Would highly recommend this place.

Amazing location and great food. They have a gorgeous roof terrace and tables right on the lake. We had the chicken burger and scampi, both were delicious and the service was really friendly. Can’t wait to be back!

Food and drinks were good, but staff came across as ignorant and nearly aggressive to some customers while trying to enforce covid restrictions. We didnt feel like any rules were been broken by the customers! Would return for dinner maybe but not for drinks and a bit of craic!

Weve eaten here before, last time the weather was amazing so we got to eat on the upper level which is out side, absolutely beautiful view s, this time we were indoors, staff are so friendly, food was beautiful and there was some live music

We had a meal in Boruma yesterday evening, food was beautiful, one of the nicest meals Ive had in a long time. We were all still talking about how nice the food was today and cant wait to go back. Staff were so friendly and helpful and the service was amazing. Will definately be back and would highly recommend a visit to anyone 😊

Had a private party here on Saturday night in the function room upstairs, it was a fabulous night & we were very well taken care of! The food was outstanding, mini burgers, pork sliders, prawns and chorizo, which went down an absolute treat, and more! The staff were so attentive and Liam really went the extra mile, chatting to our guests and even making my Mum an extra special Mother of the Bride gin! Thanks again and we’ll see you soon!
