Very good relaxing point in Bhavnagar, one biggest lake here, around you walking also, very good place

Loved the calmness in the early morning visit. Gets slightly crowded during Eve hours. Overall good experience while taking a stroll in early morning and there is a pathway for walking.

I love Bortalav, went from the Victoria part gate and had to access the talav from stairs & the sight was very peaceful & calm.

Mesmerizing experience. You surrounded by water and nature. You can either walk or sit and talk. Must go with family and there is playing area for children also.

It is built in 1872 as a water reservoir for drinking water by Shri Gaurishankar Oza.It is also know as a BOR TALAV and spread area in about 380 Hector.Its a very attractive place for visitors.Near to this lake balvatika, musical fountain and boat house attract childrens.

If you are in Bhavnagar do visit this place, it is huge and a beautiful landscape. If you are a morning person, reach Bortalav and climb the steps to the Lakefront and have a good walk or jog around it with the beautiful view of water, sound of birds and Sunrise. If you are a evening person go there and see the place decorated with blue lights and carry some picnic snacks with you and have it with your friends or family. They do have place for Yoga. There is some structure made there of a Ship shape which is really good. They also have a miniature of Dam where sometime in Monsoon they really have overflowing water and its worth going.

Best place to visit in bhavnagarIt is place where your time past auickly, if you are planning for family trip then this is the best place ever, there are lots of stalls for snacks and water but out of lake area, they developed new garden area which is paid not free but fee is jusr rs 5 per person and its affordable for everyone i think, they charged you due to maintanance but once you visit it then you dont think about charge next time, park start with big mahadev and its beautiful, lots of colorful flowers and grass for relaxation., garden is new place for prewedding photo shoot.This place is also too good for fitness freakers awesome place for walking.If you are in bhavnagar then must visit this place

It is an ancient Lake of Bhavnagar State,which had been developed by maharaja Takhtsinh ji. I want to suggest you must visit once because it gives a pleasant view of water reservoir as well as picnic spot. Moreover, there is one classic Palace also exist with beautiful scenic view of nature, but unfortunately officials dont allow common public to visit it . I enjoyed its calm and peaceful environment thoroughly....👍👍😄

Bor talav is directly connected to history of Bhavnagar. It is well known place and is visited frequently. Development is taking place but lack of peoples awareness and ignoring the duty of cleanliness makes it dumped and dirty. Government is taking care of it though people should follow basic rules of preserving it.

The Bortalav lake is also know as gaurishankar lake. If you want to visit this place dont go for Google map it will lead to wrong direction I recommended to ask local people it will lead you to right direction.

Just Recently I Visited this Lake and really i just felt the real beauty of the nature and had some peaceful time overthere so basically the Gaurishankar Lake locally known as "BORTALAV" It is a tourist location.The lake bordered by a garden, popularly called Pil Garden, is also a major picnic spot. Tourists can also see a planetarium in near the site of the lake.The lake was built with the plan of supplying water to the entire town. Tourists can visit the lakeside to enjoy the view of the sunset over the lake and take a stroll in the garden. Fairs and public events are also organized at the site.Just Recently Renovation of this lake has done and now it is look so beautiful so you have to visit this lake once💘💕

Best place to enjoy peaceful environment in Bhavnagar ! It is near from Victoria park which is also worth to visit for the same thing. one can go here with friends or family or both together. A good place to take children too. One can enjoy "masala corn chat" or "chana masala" is seller is there. Advice to take a water bottle with you and arrange transportation from to and from.

Crown jewel of Bhavnagar. Lake front is a very peaceful and serene place to sit. The Balvatika is a fun place for a family picnic.

One of my favorite places in the city. The lake side gives a wonderful sunset view. There is also a park near the Mahadev temple for kids. Good place to spend some family time. I recommend taking a walk along the border of the lake during sunset.

Due to sufficient rain at catchment area of Lake it had received @ 13 feet water on 28th August 2017 by evening within 3 to 4 hours. .......fantastic serain place for us.
