Borsch - Ukrainian restaurant in Vilnius, Lithuania
Very great ukrainian food and nice service. A really can recommend to go there. Only recommendation for the owners would be: Take care more often about the toilet, the paper bin was completely full. And the music was a bit loud and did not fit the style of the restaurant. Both things do not at all disturb the good food. Really worth a visit.
First of all borscht here is a "seasonal dish" which is stupid. Also if you present yourself as a Ukrainian restaurant what is "shchi" doing on the menu? If you present yourself as a Ukrainian restaurant why theres no menu in Ukrainian language? Its a great dining spot if you want to witness russian perception of "funny Ukrainians" or how we call it Sharovarshchyna. Food is mediocre.
This place is a joke. The prices are outrageous. The quality is so terrific it seems like the restaurant is owned by occupant russians to shame the Ukrainian culture.
About year ago (2020it was really tasty authentic food place. But not any more… we’re so disappointed now. There is no more borsc like it’s used to be.
This place is always a great choice. Authentic Ukrainian food (borsch is amazing), reasonable prices, big portions, good stuff.
Rude staff. You can wait for ages for menu. Lunch is only on board, in reality you wont get it after 12:45. (Its a trap)
We had dumplings with meat, sadly they were overdone and dough was falling of the filling. However I would like notice that the meat inside was delicious and high quality.
Good place to go if you want authentic cuisine. Reasonable prices for the quality
Awesome food, very reasonable prices. So far my favourite place to eat healthy in Vilnius. Staff is super friendly and helpful.
As always tasty food!
overpriced average quality food, previously liked as at least portion size was big enough. And cabbage soup for 6.5 eur, really?
Had upset stomach after the food.
Place ok. Nice company & fun time.
The tastiest place in Vilnius
Welcome shots and famous KYIV cake🥳
Expected more from Ukrainian cuisine...
Decent hearty traditional Ukrainian meals.
Always nice to visit and always good borsch and dumplings.
Borsch soup was really, really nice, with buns and garlic sauce! Amazing!Potato pancakes were nice abd smal Kiev cutlets were also nice.
I am surprised I forgot to rate this place, but they have amazing food and great service, 5⭐️
Suoer place. Very good traditional Ukrainian cuisine 🥖🍲🥘🥙🥫🥒🧀
Excellent food and friendly service for less than €10. Recommended!
excellent authentic cuisine for a very good price
If you want a cafe-style meal then this is the place for you. MTV, borch and very friendly service. If you want an evening out in a pukka restaurant forget it.
Bit pricey but environment is good and the Chefs choice borsch set is plenty.
Awesome! 😊
Great food, great service. Best borsch in town 🙌
The food is good, the place is good, its very cozy the only problem that the prices a bit to high for this kind of place
1 ⭐ for clean areas incl. WC2 ⭐ for English speaking waiter3 ⭐ for menu variation and English/LT option4 ⭐ for food quality-1 star for very gloomy dark interior design and lightning. We felt more depressed but sitting in such dark surroundings, then cosy or anything. The dark lighting also takes away any real change of seeing the supposed traditional interior design. We were there at 11:30am so a more positive feel with bright lighting would have made it better.
Excellent Service, the food was great.A definitely must Visit Restaurant when in Vilnius, Lithuania 🇱🇹 😋 😀 👌🏾
Very good food. It would be nice if they could indicate which food is vegetarian, vegan, etc.
Good food, nice atmosphere and staff, decent prices.
Ordered in twice from them.First time I bought borsch for myself and another person. I thought it was bit expensive, but it tasted great and we both loved it.The second time I bought a beef steak and it took the place of 2nd worst stake I have ever eaten. By the way, that is without taking the not so humble 18 euro price into account. The meat was seasoned well, but thats about the only good thing I can say about the dish. The steak was stiff like an old tire. The sauce that comes for the meat had an overwhelming taste of whiskey. It was supposed to be a pepper sauce, but it tasted like warm whiskey. I dont mind whiskey as a drink, but not warm whiskey as meat sauce. I found egg shells in my dish, which weird consider there was no eggs in my dish. Potatoes (bakedalso had a very distant flavor of old fat (the kind that has been sitting for too long).I dont know if it was 1 time mistake, but I am not taking my chances.
Very good service; moderately priced; lots of food; a traditional vibe of Ukraine too!
Worst service ever! I am not a fan of borsch in general, but was convinced to try by a group of friends. Unfortunately, the bartender showed a full disrespect to us who did not find any non alco wheat beer in the menu, and while planning to order full menu for 4 people, disqualified us from the the place. I get it, the place had the loss of single non alco beer, but being so sensitive, the place lost a client for long.
Very big portions! Order half portion and it eill be just enough for normal dish.Price is good, food is traditional and waiters are very helpful
A MUST visit in Vilnius. I was craving some Borsch and stumbled upon this quaint restaurant by chance - and Im glad I did!Their ambience is excellent. Their food is even better. I had the Borsch which is served with amazing garlic butter bread. I also tried the chicken Kiev, which is delicious.Very affordable and great service, too. Would love to visit again!
Great food and service. Friendly to multiple languages, has small bathroom inside.Outdoor seating available.
Nice place very good meals🔝🔝🔝
Nice restaurant, but the food was a bit disapointment. I was there with a friend from Ukraine and we agree that the soups was just ok, but salo really bad, like from supermarket.
Interior is okay, lots of space. We ordered Borch, plate of meat and snacks, herbal tea and gluntwein. The soup was really good, definitely recommend. Snacks plate was ok - few types of meat was a bit like rubber, but no problem with that. I didnt liked the cup for tea, it wasnt comfortable to use. Also I missed some customs of Ukrainian serving of Borch. Overall a good place to visit and eat.
Delicious Ukrainian food! The prices are a bit high, but the food was great. No-nonsense service.
We ordered borsch, pear and blue cheese salad, cottage cheese-spinach and pumpkin dumplings, salmon pancakes and chicken (last two in pictures). The food was good. Although (subjectivelythe salad used to be better in the past. The staff is polite and accommodating, however the venue could benefit from hiring more servers as the service was quite slow for a Saturday afternoon.
Borsch definitely is one of my favorite restaurants. It is not extravagant or what, but serves good Ukrainian food made with love. Especially like this soup - borsch which is a meal in itself.
Had a lunch here, food was very good with rich taste and was made of quality products. After lunch I felt full but not heavy and not sleepy which sometimes happens when eating at other places. Definetely recommend to visit for a lunch break.
Nice atmosphere and good service. Starters were good but mains nothing special. Prices outrageous at 50 euro per head
Some of dishes were tasteless for too high price. Ordered potato pancakes with tiny amount of meat for 7(!Euros. Tasteless. Very tasteless. Only salt could help. For 7 euros it is unacceptable.
Upscale place for Ukrainian food. Delicious meals, Ukrainian horilka and of course Borsch! Definitely worth to come and taste.
Ordered the steak with pepper sauce. Was more then well-done and very chewy. All though I guess the borsch and dumplings should be better, after all its a Ukrainian resturant.
The most delicious Borisch Ive ever eaten!
