Borgo 139 in Vatican City
Description
the two vegan sandwiches on the menu were tasty and satisfying for a quick bite in the Vatican. Friendly staff! :)
MoreOrder the borgo 139, Easily the best sandwich I have ever eaten! Owner is very friendly and there is charger inside as well
MoreSuuuper nice place!!! I was really hungry so I got a Bologna sandwich and a pizzetta diavola. In the end the guy even offered me a free slice of cake! It was really nice and it made my day.
MoreGreat little place to eat! The owner was wonderful - friendly, helpful and also threw in a little desert! The food was tasty and fresh - the ambience, authentic!
MoreExtremely nice staff, gave us free cake to try. Food was very good and prepared from fresh ingredients. I recommend this place very much!
MoreMy girlfriend and I came by for dinner while we were in Rome and got 2 paninis, the Roma and the Milano. Both paninis were great (the owner makes them on demand), and theyre well-priced as well (7 euros for a filling meal). The owner is also really nice; he gave us free samples to try alongside a free dessert for us to have after the meal. On top of all that, he takes credit card, which isnt true for all places in Italy. All in all, we had a great experience and definitely recommend this place.
MoreTasteful sandwiches. The prices are ok.. the staff was good. He has to fix his English though..
MoreSuch a perfect sandwich. Pork, verdura and artichoke sauce! And the owner is very welcoming. I’ve got a new favorite in Roma.
MoreFantastic food, and the host was very welcoming, even giving us a free dessert to try 👍🏼
MoreExtremely friendly staff and variety of different choices for sandwiches. Delicious and amazing experience :)
MoreWe needed a snack after visiting the Vatican. Borgo 139 had great reviews as we did a quick check of the surrounding area. Glad we stopped here! The owner was fun and super nice. The sandwich was amazing and we got a free pastry. Highly recommended after a 3-hour tour at the Vatican.
MoreShort trip to heaven! Service was great and we had a lovely meal. Perfect for a short break nearly to the Vatikan
MoreExcellent Place to eat and have a cold beer. The place is very clean. If you visit Rome. please stop by. Thank you for your service.
MoreWe found this small sandwich shop during our time at the vatican and were glad to find great food and a good price! The sandwiches were delicious and the service was stellar. Would absolutely recommend. Saludos mexicanos!!
MoreGreat place! Good food and price is ok. The owner even gave us a little desert for free.
MoreGreat panini for the price, a little bread-heavy, but still really good filling. The staff were really friendly and helpful.
MoreExcellent food very friendly staff and good value for money... The best place to grab a quick bite to eat within a short distance of the Vatican! Highly recommended
MoreBorgo 139 is an absolute gem. The service was great, the food was even better (we had a Panini and Pizza), and the prices are very reasonable.Definitely go here if you are in the area near St Peters Basilica and you are looking for a quick bite.
MorePlace was very clean. Food was delicious. Prices were very reasonable. Would definitely come back again!
MorePretty lovely, cozy place full of flavor and great atmosphere! Definitely a must for everyone trying to get a taste of Rome!
MoreVery lovely shop owner and food for quick bite outside Vatican
Deliciuos and fresh food! I have tried Lasagne and Margarita all really tasty. To drink we tried Bier nastro azzurro light and and fresh wine Chardonnay andreassi Lazio wthite, fresh with bit of sweet, I took away one. Great staff and owners friendly and customer focused - regards to you all... Prices are low. Its place you need to step in. Recommend.
MoreVery good place to eAt at good price, salads, sandwichs and pizzas. Service is excellent, very friendly with tourists. Close to Vatican . Take care with other places ; prices are too high and sometimes don’t include service charges and beverages.Francesco and Danilo are very good people. You will enjoy your food .
MoreThis is a cool sandwich bar that is perfect if you want good food but dont feel like going to a fancy sit-down restaurant. The staff here are super friendly, and prices are very reasonable. We had the Milano (schnitzel paniniand mushroom risotto, both delicious and fresh! The coffee was great too.
MoreGreat place and very nice staff!Price is good and food are delicious! You can eat at the bar or take out food!Highly recommended! 👌🏻😎😋😋😋
MoreWe had the lasagna and the Risotto since it was recommended by the staff, and suggested to be fresh! Few minutes later we find out that it was packaged and microwaved! Service was good, but I cared more about the food.
MoreMan, this place is tiny, but the panini was so good. Super fresh I gridients, sandwiches made right in front of you. Short walk from the Vatican. Take it to go.
MoreGreat staff, very friendly and accommodating. Flexible with their choices and great service. Real Italian Sandwich!
MoreGreat place to grab a quick bite for real cheap. Located in a street parallel to Piazza San Pietro, the place has a large array of sandwiches and a few other items to choose from. The owners were extremely friendly people. :)
MoreExcellent sandwich shop. Custom made hot panini with sundries tomatoes, artichoke cream and a hint of pecorino and pepper!
MoreLocal sandwich shop. Welcoming staff, simple but tasty menu. Team may not be fluent in English but will be able to communicate with you. Delicious porchetta sandwiches. Good stop for a snack after visiting Vatican Museums.
MoreVery friendly, good food, I recommend, if you are searching for a quick snack. The place is very small, only tables for 2 inside and 2 tables outside, that dont have a cover - we came after rain, so unusable.
MoreDelicious!!!! We had the aroma, Borgo and Parma paninis and loved them. Perfect Porchetta!!
MoreHad salad. Staff were helpful and spoken broken English. It was easy enough to communicate. Chef did a great job with dietary requirements and it was easy for me to indicate what I could and could not have.
MoreIt was good, the gentleman that prepared the food was very nice and made sure we got exactly what we wanted. The food was good and price was great!
MoreNice little sandwich shop near the Vatican.Quick friendly service.Good fresh food.Try the roast pork with chilli and cheese. Delicious.
MoreLovely little sandwich shop with delicious paninis and a super caring owner. The food was also very affordable. Couldnt ask for anything more. I definitely would recommend this place as a snack or quick lunch if you are visiting the Vatican and need a place to stop.
MoreSandwich shop with high quality products. The owners are very approachable and helped us to choose the right sandwich for us.Prices are cheap compared to the rest of the area (Vatican cityso about 6-10 euros for a meal.Recommended!ITAPaninoteca con prodotti di qualità.Proprietari disponibilissimi e super gentili.Prezzi bassi per la zona del Vaticano (6-10 Euro per un pastoma panini gustosissimi.Consigliato!
MoreSmall sendwich shop close to vatican on moderate prices. The porcetta to try is a must, i love it. The guy is very nice however speaks only italian. There place only for 4.but you can take away the food. Wide range of food and fresh made and served.
MoreOne of the best places around to get a nice sandwich. Affordable and very tasty. Lots of options!
MoreFor me, they have the best sandwiches in Borgo Pio. Always fresh and tasty! Try the Borgo 139 porchetta and the Aversa salmon sandwiches.
MorePrice is correct, food is fine (we had two different kinds of lasagna, both good), but portion could be a bit small for some, but they were more than enough for us.
MoreI read the good reviews, but I was a bit disappointed. Yes, the prices are good, and the food was quite delicious. However, I asked in my best Italian (which is quite bad), whether the portion sizes were big, and the answer was yes. I could have easily eaten two plates, which would have been a big portion. If they make the quantities bigger, I would definitely recommend this place.
MoreGood panini place! There are lots of places in Rome to get very nice panini for around 5 euro, and this is one of them. Wont blow your mind, but it was really quite good.
MoreQuick counter service, great food. Friendly service. Good prices! Would recommend for a quick bite after Vatican Tour
MoreVery delicious pizza with good price. The restaurant is quite small but unexpectedly clean and the owner is nice and patient. I will personally recommend you Pizza Margherita!
MoreThis is a nice little gem just down the road from the Vatican. I wouldnt recommend this place for dinner, unless you come early, but it works well for lunch. The prices are good and the paninis are excellent. The owners were really nice to me as well.Just a note: though the shop officially closes at 7:30pm, it really closes around 7 or a bit earlier when its not busy.
MoreGreat paninis close to the Vatican/Saint Peters Basilica. Not a lot of room to sit, but if you are lucky (or patientenough, you can enjoy your food there. Very affordable and fast.
MoreGreat place for a sandwich. The service is great. The space is small but easy to grab a sandwich and go or hope for one of the small tables to open up. Either way, perfect place to rest and enjoy a light meal.
MoreGreat little Sandwich shop with really decent prices. Its small, its an eat-and-run sort of place that does good Sandwiches at good prices. If youre taking a trip to the Vatican, quickly swing by here. Its certainly worth your time.
