Bordeaux Wine Trails - Wine tours in Pessac

We had a very nice wine tasting workshop in a lovely location in the center of Bordeaux. The host was very flexible to organize this workshop for a group of 15 people. The place, the wine and food pairing - everything was great. Special thanks to the wine specialist for the great experience!

Our company used Bordeaux Wine Trails to organise a trip away and we had an incredible time. We had 2 days full of tours, visits to vineyards and wine tasting. Everything was well thought out, we enjoyed all of the activities and everything was tailored to us! It was informative but great fun too. Thank you!

We had a great time with this wine tour of the Medoc region tasting left bank wines. Our guide Yan was a great guy who made it fun and very informative. Would highly recommend this company but make sure you ask for Yan who will make the experience more amazing.

We were a group of 12 ladies and we had 2 full fantastic days visiting the left and right bank of vineyards. Clement from Bordeaux Wine Trails guided us in an excellent way as he is knowledgeable, very friendly and service-minded. Fantastic experience! A real off the beaten track style tour. We learnt all the essentials of what there is to know about Bordeaux wine. Very helpful when we are selecting wines in the future. The picnic lunch was very delicious too.

We had a fantastic time on our full day Graves & St Emillion tour today. Our guide/owner was a great host, he was super knowledgeable, very warm and entertaining. The tour was laid out very well and the hosts at the wineries were all welcoming. We learned a ton about the region’s grapes, wineries and wines. I highly recommend Bordeaux Wine Trails!

Great tour with a guide that was from the region and knew so much about it. small groups so it was very easy to ask questions as well. The tour also allowed for leisure time in case you wanted to buy a bottle to split while at one of the wineries. Highly recommend!!

We did the electrical bike tour and it was fantastic!!! From the lunch in a boutique chateau with fresh produce, the gorgeous wines and most importantly our tour guide who used to be a sommelier too. The bikes were brand new which made the trip even more enjoyable. I would recommend this bike tour to anyone looking for a bespoke and off the beaten track experience in Bordeaux vineyard. Merci !

This was such a great tour! Our guide, Clem, as well as the tour guide at the chateau, were both incredibly knowledgable but also engaging. I had a lot of fun, but left realizing I had also learned a lot about French wine. The small group size also made the experience more personable. I would highly recommend!

Such an amazing experience! The private tour is highly recommended. Thanks to Yan our guide and driver for the day, we got to get to know and love Bordeaux for its history, culture and most importantly its terroir 😉.We got to see a great range of chateaus, learn and taste a lot of great and unique wines. I would do it again in a heart beat!!

Daylight robberies, don’t do it it’s a tourist rip offHi just confirming that Didier Balez was on the tour yesterday.Positives:- Julie the tour guide was lovely and very informativeCons:- the “local produce” platter that consisted of capsicum on bread and a few pieces of cheese were underwhelming to say the least (we actually brought our own Comte which fair exceeded what was served to us)- considering we paid €80+ euro each we would have expected more than tasting a total of 7 small samples of wine - definitely not value for money- we only visited two vineyards over a 5 hour period - we would have preferred to explore more chateaus deeper into the region focussed on wine tasting.As a group of 5 we spent over €400. Suggest to others to spend that money on one of the amazing Bordeaux restaurants/ purchase four bottles of amazing wine / hire your own driver and explore the region on your own terms.As a French citizen travelling with some Australian friends I am ashamed and appalled of what you are offering during your tour. There was nothing cultural to talk about, the produce plates was a joke, the wine testing is a joke as I said before vous êtes des voleurs !

Had a great full day group tour with Elise, she is a great guide and very knowledgeable about everything Boudreaux. Regions, restaurant and bar recommendations for after the tour, wine knowledge superb and made the tour fun and enjoyable - the 8 hours flew by. Would recommend if you want a chill and well organized day through the wine lands of Boudreaux. Group was 8 In our case. Vehicle is a large Mercedes’ Benz minivan very comfortable drives.

The tour was very well organised, we learnt a lot of interesting history and fun facts about Bordeaux and the wine region, and tasted some amazing wines. Julie was a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable and organised. I really enjoyed the tour and would love to go again!

We had a wonderful experience with Clement on this afternoon tour. We visited two wineries and both were great. I especially loved the second, Château Paloumey. Adeline was very nice and introduced us to several great wines (with a case being shipped back home!). Highly recommend this tour.

Took a tour to Saint- Emillion with Yan this morning and could not recommend it enough! The trip itself was fantastic but Yan made the trip even more memorable. His knowledge of wine, the regions and historical knowledge of Saint Emilion was fantastic. Do not hesitate to book this trip!

We did a private tour of Medoc. Visited three contrasting winemakers and had a lovely lunch. Simple and pleasant. It was very informative and the guide was keen and knowledgeable. The company was very honest and open with what was being planned.

We had an amazing day touring the wineries of Medoc. Our guide Clem was extremely knowledgable and educated us on the appellations system. We then got the opportunity to visit 2 wineries in the region (including a grand cru classe!and learn about their different methods and blending preferences. And of course, we got to taste some fantastic wines!Clem returned us back to the centre of Bordeax around 7pm, armed with the knowledge to help us seek out the best wines from local wine bars.

I cant say enough about our experience with Bordeaux Wine Trails - from picking us up at lunch, to the beautiful vineyards and finally dropping us right off where we had booked for dinner, everything was planned perfectly.Huge shoutout to our guide Jonathan who was lovely and taught us about much more than just wine!We had such a great time and highly recommend to anyone visiting Bordeaux.

We had a really nice experience visiting St Emilion and two estates. The group was quite small (8 peoplewhich was perfect to ask questions.The second estate in particular (Clos des Abbesseswas lovely and we got to eat and drink with the wine producer himself.The tour was led by Elise who spoke excellent English and was really kind and forthcoming. Big bonus points for making the aperitif veggie-friendly! An easy 5/5.

Excellent day trip accross 3 wine regions in Bordeaux, with a nice picnic in the middle. As in most of these trips, the tour guide is a key part for a great experience, and in this case our guide Yan delivered big time! Excellent attention and great communications skilss.

The e-bike tour of St. Emilion was really spectacular. The tour guide Johnathan, was very cool and helpful when needed. Our group enjoyed the ride, the weather, and the wine. A very fun way to spend a day among the vineyards.

Parfait! Jon the guide knew his stuff. We visited two small wineries which meant we got an intimate experience, Saint-Èmilion was beautiful and we tasted some great wines.

Jonathan arranged an afternoon visit to some wineries on the right bank of Bordeaux. He is a great guide and he makes you feel like a local during the visits.His knowledge of the region and wine making techniques is really amazing. On the other hand, the tour was always fun and interesting in terms of local french culture.Thanks a lot Jonathan for a great day in Bordeaux!!!

I went to learn more about the region as i have just moved to Bordeaux. We were a small group of 3 and Camille was our guide. She is a very friendly person, and she has a lot of knowledge. The history of Bordeaux, the wines, the different classifications and appellations, she explained it all quite well... The tour of the Medoc and its beautiful Châteaux was much more "approachable" than what i imagined. At the Châteaux, the professionals running the visits and tastings had interesting anecdotes. I have in mind the "egg" from Château Marquis de Terme. I 100% recommand this tour and hope i can do the Saint Emilion one soon too.

We did the half day van wine tour in St. Emilion. They cancel the bike tours in October when its too cold in the morning. We learned a ton, tasted some fabulous wines, and had a really great time overall. Perfect length, opportunities to buy wine, educational and insightful. Would definitely recommend!

This was the highlight of our time in Bordeaux! Great conversation, beautiful places, and amazing wine, highly recommend. Jonathan was really friendly and very knowledgeable about wine and the region. We had two great tours at beautiful vineyards/chateaus and were able to do tastings at two locations (one vineyard, one separate tasting room). The wines were all superb with great explanations so people were really able to appreciate the wine and learn more. We also visited St Emilion which was beautiful and Jonathans information made it even better! There were a few snacks, as well so it was really the whole package.

Have done a few wine tours and this was one of the best, Hugo the guide was really knowledgeable and helpful. The two châteaux hosts were lovely too and the wine tastings were great with surprise snacks accompanying them. The two places were different enough so you didnt feel like you were doing the same thing twice. Would definitely recommend and will use this company again on my next visit.

We had a great time with Julie on the full day tour. She told us a lot of extra information about the proces of winemaking in the area, but also: some very helpful tips for diner and drinks in Bordeaux. We saw 3 amazing chateaux, plus stopped for about an hour and a half in St Emilion, where we visited the church and tried some brut de Bordeaux. Everything was very well organised, lunch was excellent and the other people in the group (in total we were with 5were very nice too. We enjoyed it so much, that we decided to book another half day tour with them on Sundy, when Yan was our guide to the Medoc-area. He grew up there, so he told us a lot too. And made an extra stop at the Chateau Megaux, to just marvel at it. All and all: highly recommended! Both Julia and Yan were professional guides, told a lot and made this an experience to remember.

In case you are on the fence about doing a guided tour, I highly recommend taking that step forward. We loved having access to vineyards and wine makers directly, which simply would not occur on a self-guided trip. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, often going out of his way to ensure the experience suited my wife and Is particular interests or preferences. Id recommend both French and international travelers to experience Bordeaux without the worry of planning and allow yourself to enjoy the best of the area.

We could not be happier with the kindness and professionalism weve received from Bordeaux Wine Trails during such a chaotic time! My wife and I were set to travel from the U.S. to France to enjoy a tour in June with Bordeaux Wine Trails as part of our honeymoon celebration. Unfortunately, COVID-19 changed those plans, and we had to postpone our trip. Jonathan and the staff have been incredibly accommodating with us as we work through figuring out when we can visit. They even helped "bring Bordeaux to us" with an opportunity to purchase local wines from France to ship to the U.S. We were so thrilled to take Jonathan up on the offer, and weve enjoyed all of the wine. Every time we open a bottle, we feel like were celebrating something special- even as we sit in our home through a pandemic. Jonathan and the staff are first-class, and they feel like old friends even though we havent even met them yet. Best Tour in Bordeaux! Jono runs the show and we were so lucky to have him as our guide for the day! Saint Emilion is so quaint and stunning. We were taken to some amazing organic wineries and toured the vineyards. The tastings were generous from friendly and extremely knowledgeable locals. The lunch in the Château was so delicious and such a unique experience. You must do this tour if you want a special experience in Bordeaux!!

Most authentic tour weve ever done! Bordeaux Wine Trails and our guide were super helpful since our first contact. They designed a customized Itinerary in the Saint Emilion region, our guide (wset3 level!was on it and could answer all our questions about Bordeaux and even more.The wine, the food, the winery, every thing was just fantastic!Merci Bordeaux wine trails!

We were a family of 8 visiting Bordeaux. From the get go when we request to make a booking Julie responded very quickly with detailed info and she was easy to talk to and very informative. On the actual tour we really had a great time, our guide was Camille she was wonderful and very knowledgeable. All in all, our Saint-Emilion wine tour was fun and memorable.

We had a great tour! I got a private tour with Bordeaux Wine Trails for a half day and it was perfect. We went to two different chateaus then go a tour of Saint Emillion. Our tour guide and the two contacts and the wineries were extremely knowledgable and answer all of our questions and more. I am someone who is not a wine expert but knows more than the basics about wine and I still found this to be a valuable tour to really learn more about the Bordeaux wine and history.

He easily navigated the narrow roads, and we felt very safe with him. He knew all about the region and winemaking. He cleverly kept us on schedule, but also made sure that we thoroughly enjoyed all the stops throughout the day long tour.Planning- I worked with Jon to plan the tour and he was incredibly responsive and attentive to my wants and needs for the tour. Everything was perfect!Quality of Vineyards selected- Perfect. Very authentic. No crowds. We received private tastings and tours.

We had a great tour with a friendly and super-knowledgeable host. I cant think of a better way to experience the wine regions of Bordeaux! It really made our brief time there worthwhile. It was casual yet thorough, long but never exhausting. Not only did we drink lots of wine, but we also ate grapes off the vine, tasted "grape juice" pressed just that morning and got a little grape jelly. They were also very accommodating of our dietary restrictions for lunch.

We had a very good half-day tour of St. Emilion from Bordeaux, including two wine tastings and a short visit in the village of St. Emilion.Camille was very friendly, polite, knowledgeable and managed the group well. She gave us comprehensive details of the wine growing regions and history and also on the wine estates that we visited. The group size was perfect, 8 of us and we were taken around in a air-conditioned van. Overall, I highly recommend this tour and will be looking to explore the other tours offered by the same company. Cheers.

What a day!!! We did the Market tour and The Chartron gourmet tour as were not big wines drinkers. Our local guide took us in hidden gems throughout the city of Bordeaux to sample some of the best local food here. My stomach is still asking for more! We did other tours like this before but this one was definitely the best value for money! Thank you guys for an awesome time!!!

18 friends were visiting Bordeaux and we chose Bordeaux wine trails for a day amongst the wineries and we were not disappointed! Jonathan was a great guide, we got to visit 2 wineries, stopped for a 3 course lunch and then wandered around St Emilion old town. Plenty of water on the bus to balance out the wine. Highly recommended.

I had the best time on the half a day tour with Bordeaux Wine trails! It was perfect that we were in a small group of 6 lovely people, which made it more personable. We visited two beautiful Chateaux, tasted their delicious wines as well as visiting the town of Saint Emilion itself. Jonathan, our guide, was great! On the tour I learned a great deal. Jonathan made it really interesting and we all had a lot of laughs! It wasnt tiring or rushed (as some tours tend to be).I would recommend Bordeaux Wine Trails tours to anyone! A fantastic way to learn more about wine, and to visit the stunning region. Thank you so much!

Enjoyable tour. Very friendly guide. Beautiful area to tour. Nicely organized . . . except that a 5-hour tour with wine tasting should include a bit of food to balance out the wine (plate of cheese; some bread, etc.). Im also not sure why the tour was called "holy wine" when we never visited a monastery vineyard. Price seemed just a bit steep, but was in line with similar tours.
