Nyamira, Kenya, Sotik
Borabu Country Inn - Hotel in Sotik, Kenya
Upgrade the services and rooms and also add some modern requirements but the location is nice though near the road.
Best food in Nyamira county
It is an ok place for a short term stay
Worst place ever intruders all over the hotel
Sat for 30min and nobody was serving me at the hotel. The waiters/waitresses are a bit sluggish. I just left without service.
It was good being here. Services are top high.
Its a very nice place for the breakfast lunch and dinner. Their beds are excellent.
The hotel looks the beat for the area. Some rooms are small. small corridors. Natural light not adequate.
Can do better for rooms. Esp the bathroom
Poor services, poor seat arrangements, in other words a fake hotel!
Relatively secure. Good service and meals
Good place to have a rest
Splendid stay. Nice hospitality, good food and good pricing

Nice Breakfast, very clean, good customer service and they gave me a discount.
Probably the only decent and affordable hotel anywhere in Nyamira County.
Thanks, this is a wonderful place to find yourself in. How I remember vividly, that once upon a time,in this same place ,lodged The Kenyan last vice president, Kalonzo Musyoka. What a beautiful place it is,!
Budget accommodations available. As the price goes down so does the bed size.Clean ,efficient service and the food was good
Why do I like this one? Well location, serene environ will definitely let you dine enjoying the view. Wine and dine after a narrow escape from daily schedule.
Good customer service, three course full breakfast even with the lowest priced room
Excellent service. They serve delicious authentic local dishes
Quiet place. Basic menu. Basic service. Okay for Nyamira. Probably best of 1 or 2 places.
Best services in the entire county. Great food. Wonderful rooms.
Good countryside Inn with very good rates set in a highland area with picturesque ranges and valleys. Can do better with provision of intercom, electric kettles and buffet breakfast.
Our large group was graciously taken care of while at the Borabu Country Inn. We felt safe, entertained and well fed.The showers are not what you get in America but why go to Africa if you want to feel like you are in America.
My stay at the inn was very comfortable and food was delicious. Raymond and the staff were very helpful with any requests. Great place to stay for a long or short term visit. Safety was a priority at the inn and I felt very secure staying here.
I had a terrific experience at the Borabu Country Inn. The staff was professional, the room was cozy, & the food was delicious and abundant.
This hotel is perfectly situated as a stopover between Nairobi and Lake Victoria and also between Nairobi and the Masai Mara park. It has a deep well, meaning that the water is safe for westerners to drink, and in fact the water is used to supply the local hospital. The kitchen is wonderful and serves a variety of delicious and authentic Kenyan cuisine. I stayed there for 6 days and never had a bad meal. The rooms are newly-appointed and are clean.
I loved staying at the Borabu Country Inn. The owner, Raymond, is an excellent host. The food is great and the rooms are cozy! The really big news is that you do can use the water coming out of the faucet to drink and brush you teeth. Raymond has drilled down to a fresh water source that is safe. Also, I must mention that the staff is attentive and helpful.
Great accommodation, wonderful staff! Clean rooms and most of all clean, drinkable water! The owner went out of his way to make us feel comfortable.
What a find for those traveling through this area or even a great stop over between Masai Mara and Lake Victoria. Hotel is very clean and staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Certified clean drinking water, each room has its own shower/bathroom. Food was excellent! All fresh and local ingredients.
This is a great place to enjoy the "real Kenya" and it is perfectly placed between Masai Mara and Lake Victoria. The owner is American educated and a wonderful host. The food is delicious and authentic. The service is world class. The rooms are comfortable and the water is drinkable. I have traveled for business my entire life and this is the first ime I have given a hotel a 5 rating.
Our large group had a wonderful weeklong stay at the Borabu Country Inn. The owner, Raymond, really knows how to take care of his guests and his staff was helpful, too. Clean rooms, hot showers, flushing toilets, and delicious local foods make this hotel the perfect spot to stay for a week or a night on your way to/from Lake Victoria and Nairobi.
Relative to hotels available in the area, this is a 5 star hotel! Water is clean and drinkable through their 30 meter well. Hot showers are available, but ask for instructions on how to use the heat on demand shower head. Food was very good and reminded me of soul food. This is a perfect place to stay if you are making your way to Lake Victoria.
A special and spacious hotel in Town. One that accommodates your pocket.Has a free WiFi connection.Family rooms.
A nice budget accomodation for a town like Nyamira. Its well along the main road giving a visitor easy access to the hotel. The reception area is small so dont expect anything so fancy. However, the eating area outside the hotel is very accommodating and has a very good supply of air. Id advice someone to sit out and use the WiFi as they enjoy a cup of coffee.
That place is very hospitable, very good services, actually its a nice place to stay
Good group training facility . But I advice they better consider serving CHILDREN accompanying parents during group trainings.
Not so good but can be an option when no other options are available. Ample parking but not as lively as other inns
A budget hotel worth visiting. Good rooms average prove and clean . Kudos
Hospitality, Good food, and a great staff sums up my experience at Borabu Country Inn in Nyamira. I have stayed there many times and have used Borabu as a home base for a team of 35 people from the United States. Every member of the hotel staff is welcoming and the kitchen staff prepares meals that even timid U. S. guests enjoy. The hotel is enclosed within a wall and their is security at the gate. I would not stay anywhere else in Nyamira County.
This is among the very few hotels in Nyamira town. Not very exquisite but manageable.Their chicken kienyenji is finger licking
Great place to stay while in Nyamira town. Hot shower, free wifi and hospitable staff.
