Great place with good vibes. Food was top notch and a great selection of beers and ciders.

Easy going, feel good and sound staff.

The outdoor area is very picturesque, there seemed to be a long wait on anything ordered, even though it wasnt that busy and as you can see the toilets were terrible, 10pm on a Friday night.

No cocktail menu but still a nice local bar

Perfect venue for functions particularly their outdoor section (its huge). Had a nice meal there and enjoyed some tap craft.

Great food - especially loved the sweet potato and French fries. It was a bit noisy (6:30-7pm), but thats to be expected in a bar. Friendly staff who were happy to accommodate us when we showed up with no reservation at 6:30pm :Id probably recommend contacting them for a reservation if you want to be sure of a table.

The beers were delicious. Not to mention the mozzarella sticks and the chicken. I think I might pay another visit to this place

Great service, excellent drinks and a lovely venue. The food coming out looked great, Id have happily dined there if I didnt already have other plans. Its good to see a place live up to the high number of five star reviews.

We ordered food with uber last night.I understand the current inflation of primary food costs, therefore do not mind paying for the convenience on the odd occasion. The food was unusually sub standard, over fried chicken, reheated fries in old oil, badly balance spice in bao buns....definitely not worth $89 and were not ordering here again.

A fun pub located conveniently on a Elizabeth st and easy walk from the city. Fun crowd, lively atmosphere and good food.

Boodle Beasley is one of our favourite haunts in North Hobart. With its chilled atmosphere, range of table, bench, lounge and outdoor seating options, it is perfect for any occasion. Finally we have bars in North Hobart where you can enjoy a pre or post dinner beverage without having to head to the waterfront.Update April 2022. Boodle has grown and matured since my last review. Its a wonderfully inclusive venue and as lively as ever before. The crew are super amazing and friendly. The outdoor space is awesome and dog friendly. If youve not been, the only question is "why not?"

Would go again. Excellent wait staff. Good menu selection for meat eaters and vegetarians. A grilling option for portobellos etc would be a nice addition. Dont miss the outdoor seating in the back.Texas visitor.

Absolutely terrible food. Worst I’ve had in Tasmania. Went for an after work snack at five pm and the staff did not talk or make eye contact and the food was greasy and disgusting. Would never go there again.

Great location, food, drinks, staff and atmosphere. A good place to bring littles without feeling like youre at a fast food joint.Cocktails are great - well priced and pack a punch 😉Amazing vegan options too - the tofu nuggets and the Hot Vegan burger are a favourite! They will sub in ingredients to make the cocktails vegan as well ☺️

Great range of beers, tasty food and friendly staff

Boodle always has a great variety of beers on tap for selection to fill a crafty lovers heart. They have an amazingly large beer garden thats an absolute gem in the summer time.Their food is consistent and well priced but nothing overly fancy.

A very chill, vibing atmosphere, well mixed cocktails, friendly bar attendants, back area with heating.

Rude and nasty bar staff, Ive been here multiple times and only had bad experiences. Ive had bartenders picking on my friends for what theyre wearing, spilling drinks on me and my brother and not even acknowledging it and just being rude and cold in general. Not to mention the $13 pots of beer that they call pints.

We walked in off the street with no booking and were warmly welcomed and accommodated by the staff. Cocktails were lovely and we ordered the bao buns. Overall the bao buns were a little disappointing, mainly soggy and lacking some flavour. Only bad thing to say about this bar, everything else was great!

Excellent service. Staff very friendly. Great selection of Tassie beers on tap . I suggest the original chicken wings as a starter. Best Ive had. Maybe a Coco Loco Palomino cocktail.

We had my partner’s 30th upstairs at Boodle Beasley last night. I was so impressed with the whole event! The staff were great at communicating in the lead up to the event, offering us to decorate the space and bring cake. On the night the staff wanted to meet me to make sure I was happy with everything, if i wanted to play my own music or request any songs and they constantly checked in throughout the night to make sure we were happy. And of course the food and drinks were on point as usual. Thanks Boodle team, you’re amazing!

Really great lunch, Salt and Pepper Squid was excellent. Very reasonable prices and personal service.

Was in Hobart for a wedding. Stopped by here a couple of times for a great selection of beer/cocktails and cool back courtyard. New to Hobart I asked the bartender (Jamesfor some bar/restaurant recommendations. He wrote me out this list and even marked Beer/Wine/Cocktail. Boodle Beasley is rad, North Hobart is Rad, James is rad. Highly recommend Boodle Beasley for a real pint.Cheers James thanks dude!

Relaxed bar, decent music, plenty to choose from drinks wise, didnt eat here but what we saw meals looked good. Outdoor area too.Will definitely be back, now our go to drink place in Hobart!

A place with good snacks with drinks menu (bao buns yum!ok level cocktails, fast service. As a bar, somewhat limited personality for some reason, although nice enough space.Best if you can grab a couch upstairs with company you enjoy and languish there with a G&T...

First visit and very impressed, casual and relaxed, rustic interior, friendly staff and awesome calamari. Great variety of bevvies on offer, with a few quirky offerings on tap. Big thumbs up.

Great spot for an Old Fashion on a sleepy Saturday afternoon. A go to spot for locals with a good vibe and well turned out reno of the old building. Recommend if you looking for a quality drink in nice surrounds.

Beautifully decorated and great, friendly atmosphere. Staff are friendly and happily offeree tastings and advice on choosing the perfect pale ale for a sunny Saturday afternoon drink in the back courtyard. Excited to come back during night time. Great place for a beer and a meal, prices on food are very reasonable and have a great selection. They have a burger and schooner deal from 12 until 5 for $19. Beer selection is great and constantly rotating taps meaning you can always find a beer you want that you have never had before.

This place has a nice atmosphere and good beer taps. The food that is served is simple pub grub and as a consequence you shouldnt expect to get a chicken burger with such dry overcooked old chicken inside it. As I said it is simple pub grub and it shouldnt go so horribly wrong. As a side note I understand that this business is associated with Preachers who serve amazing food every time I go there. Why are you guys getting it so wrong.

Great atmosphere with really great furniture and decor. I really like their vegetarian bao. It tastes really clean. It was delicious without the greasy after-taste. Service was good too. Friendly staff members.

A nice place with both an indoor and outdoor area. Especially nice on a lazy warm afternoon for an ice cold drink.They have a range of beers and traditional cocktails and a really impressive Gin selection.Today I was going to grab a beer when the scent of freshly picked mint carried me away to ordering a Mojito (which Ive never had beforeand it was so Good! Highly recommended.If your not sure what you want the staff are quite knowledgeable in their cocktail and Gin lore and are good for recommendations.

Great range of craft beers, seems like they rotate new ones through the taps too which is good, even if a bit expensive. The only downside is some of the bartenders. The few times ive been there I was standing at the bar for a good few minutes whilst the bartenders lazily started drying a glass, having a chat amongst themselves, and generally seemed disinterested in serving people. If they can work on this, then id definitely recommend it as a nice venue to go for a drink.

I absolutely love this place. My friends took me there when I was visiting Tasmania. Blond lady (I believe managerwas delightful. I highly recommend this venue for a drink or lunch.The only negative is that fish burger patty, I believe it was frozen, didn’t taste so nice. The rest was brilliant.

Visited on a Saturday and this place was quite busy with locals ordering cocktails, wine and craft beers. The food menu is interesting. I ordered the chicken wings as a snack and the serving was definitely too generous for one person. Good selection of craft beers. The indoor space is stylish and grown up and the beer garden really inviting. All in all a good alternative to other popular North Hobart bars. This place is doing everything well and Id like to try again during the day for coffee or breakfast. .

This is a very cool new bar in Hobart with a great vibe.8 different beers on tap, a selection of amazing sounding cocktails and an excellent wine list should keep everyone happy.The menu looks fabulous, so Im keen to go again when the kitchen is running.Lovely, welcoming staff as well.
