So, basically this is some of the best fried chicken Ive ever had. Highly recommend the spicy chicken. Well definitely be coming back.

Comparing to Vons, it is more crispy and less sticky. Both are nice options for Korean style chicken wings.

With an awful lack of customization, especially when it comes sides, and pretty average chicken. Theres better places to eat for the same price or cheaper, only come here if you specifically want their style of food.PS: The seasoning is above average and decently spicy.

Will have to try the bone in wings on my next visit

This place used to be good. The wings are too dry now and they overcharge. Legit got a new rice bowl from them to go, called them because the portion was so small. The staff didnt even know this was a menu item and I had to argue with them that I ordered it from there. On top of this, I ordered pick up, got there at my pickup time, restaurant was empty and I still had to wait an additional 10 min because they forgot about my order. Legit seriously poor customer service.Lets see what their response is to this paltry chicken bowl...Do yourself a favor and order from VONS down the street. I dont like their marinade as much but overall experience is 100% better.

This is the best chicken. It was still crispy two days later. The sides are bomb. Really, really tasty and worth the price.

Great service and food is what weve come to expect with all of their locations, the Sunnyvale location did not disappoint.

My name is Tay. And I order from the one in Sunnyvale as much as I can possibly afford. There is nothing on their menu that is dissatisfied you will be happy with anything I say try the potstickers and the kimchi is always good. I put that s*** on everything. Its just that good.

My 1st visit to Bonchon was sometime early April 22. I generally dont like to eat chicken because my parents used to always make chicken dishes. When they fried chicken, it would be dry and chewy. I decided to try Bonchon because I like Korean food. My waiter was Rory (I believe thats his name). He was the only Caucasian waiter at that time. He was fantastic!!! Well, I tried their garlic/soy sauce chicken; and Wow!!! it was incredibly tasty and tender inside. Since then, I have gone back several times. I went for take out on Mothers Day. There was Rory again. Same as the 1st time. Very personable, friendly, and checked a couple of times if my order was ready. He really made me feel like a valued customer. Great food, great service.

Small dining area, but dont pass up the option for take out. Compared to most Bonchon, the size of the wings at this location are bigger than most. This time I ordered the tenders and they were really good.

First time having Bonchon in Sunnyvale as I have only been to the Blossom Hill, San Jose, location before.The service here was very friendly.The food was okay but it just didn’t taste as good as my previous experience at the other location. Was also surprised that they don’t have fried rice at this location.Wasn’t a bad experience, just wasn’t what I was looking forward to.

The wings were delicious but we had also ordered some ranch and extra dressing, this was the first time I had dry wings! I wouldnt give 4 stars if they werent delicious!

They need to stop calling this Korean fried chicken. It’s just a fried chicken place with some random Korean dishes that don’t taste anything like back home.Chicken smelled due to poor prep. I realized they don’t have a no-sauce flavor and it’s probably to hide to smell of the chicken.The breading was crispy and it wasn’t too bad.Not sure how they got such a high rating but no actual Koreans would go here for food.

Ordered online from their website at 12:45. Website says food will be ready by 1:30. Now its 1:45, food is still not ready. Asked to cancel the order, they are not willing to. Seems bad operation here. People eating in are not getting much attention either.

We are a tech company at Moffett park. We ordered several boxes of fried chicken last Friday for a farewell party for our lovely interns. Unfortunately, the fried chicken were not fresh and many of us got light diarrhea. We will not order from them again.

Bonchon serves Kyochon style soy-source based fried chicken. In my opinion, quality and taste is the best Korean fried chicken in BayArea.I also tried many other Korean style chicken franchises in the south bay area, but this place is the best.

I only have one bad thing to say about this place . They don’t have fried rice at this location. Other then That I would say everything that I ordered was great . The service was good as well . The servers very attentive and fast . I always appreciate good customer service and great food . This is my go to chicken spot . Great parking and small dinning area .

This is my first visit to Bonchon Korean Fried Chicken Restaurant. I visited the one located in E. El Camino Real near Sunnyvale. It is tucked in a corner in a shopping strip. The ambience is mediocre but the food items were very delicious. I ordered Takoyaki (Octopus Dumplingsfor starters, a plate of boneless chicken wings, Bull Dak and an order of Fries.The chicken wings were very Juicy and flavorful a bit on the sweeter side for Soy Garlic flavor. The fries tasted fresh. The Bull Dak though advertised as spicy could use some more chilly heat and some extra mozzarella cheese but tasted good. The waiting staff were very friendly and the order was delivered to the table in a reasonable timeframe. Though I have not tried their other dishes like Bulgogi, Bonchon wrap, etc., overall, I give a thumbs up to this Korean Fried Chicken chain.

Pretty good Korean fried chicken place! I got the 5piece drums with both sauces, and it really hit the spot!The spicy sauce is at a good, strong spice level, so definitely keep that in mind. The original sauce is very tasty as well. The chicken drumsticks have good layer of crispness on the outside, but still tender on the inside. Can’t ask more than that!

I was accidentally introduced to bonchon a few years back as we were planning on eating elsewhere and ended up getting this instead and this is by far the best accident I’ve ever had.The Korean fried chicken here is one of the best forms of fast food I’ve eaten in the bay. The wings and drumsticks are crispy and tender at the same time and the serving is pretty large for the price. Highly recommend!

Seasoned fries is a must have. And Soy Garlic Chicken is amazing. 👏

Such a great place for Korean food! One of the workers saw that we were really getting into the Olympics  judo matches and put it on the main screen for us.Their japchae, spicy bbq chicken, and bulgogi are amazingly delicious. 👍 Highly recommended!

Crispy, hot, and overall delicious chicken. Juicy interior. Service was fairly quick and friendly. The sides of coleslaw are pretty small, smaller than expected for the amount of $/chicken. But overall delicious experience!

We just ordered boneless chicken. When we get home my wife find out that it is really salted. She call for a replacement and the restaurant manager tell us that the restaurant will not do replacement. Very bad customer service. Make sure you take the food before take it home otherwise you will loose your taste.

This was my first time having Korean fried chicken, and I thought it was okay. We were a party of 7 and we came on a weekend night pretty late in Jan 2018, but we still had to wait for around 15 minutes. We decided to go with the large combo (15 wings, 8 drumswith sides of kimchi coleslaw, pickled radish, and kimchi, and an order of Tteokbokki. The spicy flavor was quite delicious but I thought it could have been bolder. The soy garlic was okay too. The skin was really crispy and delicious and the chicken was tender, but the chicken itself was lacking flavor; except for the skin, the chicken meat didnt have any flavor. The kimchi coleslaw was delicious; never had anything like it. The vegetables tasted fresh and the flavor was good. Kimchi was good too, and the pickled radish was fresh and crunchy. The Tteokbokki was basically a bowl of sauce; there was a significant lack of rice cakes, fish cakes, and other ingredients. If you took away the sauce, the bowl probably wouldnt even be half-full. Also, the rice cakes were a bit overcooked as they were too soft. In general, Im not super impressed with this place; meat was significantly lacking in flavor and prices were really high with low quantity. Our meal came out to be $58 post-tax post-tip (gratuity was included since we had a big group), so essentially each person paid a bit more than $8 for 1 drum, 2 wings, and a scoop of lots of red sauce and 3-5 rice cakes. Not a fan!

I order their combo every week. My favorite flavor is the garlic Sauce.I love the chicken wings always crispy. But I hate the drum sticks, too big and no flavor at all.

Enjoying having the spicy wings. Dint like the soy one much. The wings had an extra crisp which made these wings unique. Overall a good place to try some spicy Korean wings !

Spicy chicken and Asian-American fusion. You will get a southern taste too, which is their philosophy actually based on. This is another restaurant where you need to try the different sides different times - specially the Kim chi Coleslaw and Seasoned Fried which are their specialties too. Also, had one of the best noodle soup here; they call it something like Udon, which is super tasty if you take it hot. Also, this place grew my appetite and interest to Korean dishes and their own style of fowl roasting.

I got the popcorn shrimps and the shrimps were not devained. It is important to devain shrimps as otherwise it causes stomach upsets and its also not pleasant to chew the mud in the veins. I had to throw it away.

Forget KFC, if you want decent fried chicken go here. The service is great and I crave their wings more than I care to admit. My preference is their spicy wings as it has the right amount of heat without compromising flavor.

Bonchon is my to go food when it comes to korean fried chicken. We usually get medium size of 20 wings for two of us. Personally I love the spicy chicken, its one of the best and the other flavor is soy sauce. The spicy sauce sometimes not that consistent given that it can be quite spicy sometimes and the other time its just okay. For the price of 20 wings its quite worthed and also comes with 20 coleslaw. I always use uber eats to get it delivered during pandemic, the only down side is that the chicken wont be as crispy as dine it but the upside is no need to drive.

Ordered a large combo with half spicy and half soy garlic for takeout. Was pretty excited with it but it didn’t taste as good as I hoped it would be. Maybe my expectations were too high because of the good ratings. I’d say not worth the hype though, or maybe it’s just the Sunnyvale branch. Bonus point for the crispy chicken though!

The best Korean fried chicken! Bar none! Crispy on the outside, tender and juicy in the inside. The soy garlic flavor is excellent, however if you can stand the heat the spicy is out of this world! The kimchee coleslaw is very good also.

Great Korean fried chicken. Recommend soy and garlic flavor. We arrived at 6:30 on a business day, served tables are not too busy while many people are waiting for pickup.

The small portions were pretty large. Good enough for two to share or for one person with an appetite. Zucchini fries were fried and battered slices instead of strips like I thought they would be.

They have the best friend Chicken in Bay area. Simple fried simple flavors, but so tasty.

Korean style fried chicken. We had the sweet garlic and minor spicy with kimchi cole slaw style. It was a good side dish. The main meal was crunchy and delicious. It was prepared fast and efficient. Great staff. IMO, i considered it a snack/ meal. Somewhat good wings and drumstick size legs. We also had the takoyaki."octopus" with edible fish flakes as garnish. We all tried , but not a fan.

This little restaurant has such amazing fried chicken! I didnt try anything else except for the sides. The spicy flavour has some soccer but for me, it was perfect. The flavour stayed with me for a long time. This truly is my favourite fried chicken of all time. Its a small and not very modern spot but worth it. Its difficult to get seats because it is well known to have great food.

The fried chicken is very good. I like the Korean fried chicken tacos, just the right amount of crispy chicken and veggies. This location can get crowded which is good indicator. The last time I was there, they had the TV very loud making it difficult to have a conversation. Otherwise it is a good place to have finger licking fried chicken.

Tasty chicken wing, but the spicy chicken wing is really spicy hot. Korean Taco with bolgogi is also excellent.

Really enjoyed the spicy fried chicken and the Tteokbokki was killer! Gret combo especially if you like to dip your chicken in the sause and cheese! Only way to enjoy Bonchon! Officially obsessed! Thumbs up.

Love the soy garlic korean fried chicken here. Service was very fast for me. The takoyaki was decent but I probably wouldnt order it again. It is a chicken place anyway so Id say stick with the chicken. The batter is super crispy and the flavor is great. All around a solid place to go. The spicy flavor is very spicy for me though. So make sure your tolerance is there before you order it.

This popular Korean fried chicken joint offers tender and flavorful chicken. The dining area is small so ordering a convenient choice. A large mixed chicken wings/drumsticks with both garlic and spicy flavors, plenty for two and just enough incentive to workout these calories the next day.

Im not generally a fan of Korean food, but two friends recommended this place and I happened to pass by it one night so gave it a try. The restaurant interior is simple but the never-ending line demonstrates the popularity of this place, with a separate line dedicated just for take out. The menu is essentially many different types of chicken with sides. The food I ordered was very tasty, reasonably priced, and made to go fairly quickly. Id eat here again.

Go for the chicken! Tried something new the second time but didnt like it that much. Chicken is delicious!

The chicken wings were the best part. The covering was extremely crispy and the sauce was decent. We tried both the spicy and non-spicy versions - I preferred the spicy version. The biscuits were rich, but I felt that they were just average. The green tea ice cream tasted quite artificial and definitely had too much food coloring in it.Service was acceptable.I suggest going and getting their spicy chicken drumsticks.
