Counter-service eatery offering classic cuisine, with lunch specials for eat-in, pickup or delivery.
In one word, the food was just HORRIBLE!!Ordered the famous “Butter chicken and Garlic naan”The chicken was half cooked and there was a smell in it too. The garlic naan hardly had any garlic taste, sides were raw and it felt like a rubber. We had to discard the food as it was raw and chicken was half cooked.OVERHYPED AND WASTE OF MONEY!!!
I checked the review on google maps for this restaurant thought it would be the great food here. Really disappointed. I do not suggest people to try it out here. Tasteless and price do not meet the expectations as well.
Had veg biryani as take away, it was spicy as ordered. Will try butter chicken next time.
Loved the whole theme they had going on with funny texts and motivational quotes. Butter chicken was hot and well prepared 🤌
Amazing restaurant. The spicy butter chicken was amazing . Excellent food . Briyana is really good . Decor is nice and very clean . Only issue is the paper plates . However this doesn’t affect the score as many restaurants during covid 19 have changed their service . The naan is on point . Really good Indian food.
I am very glad to share my experience about the food of Bombay to go restaurant, at the first time i tried garlic naan with shahi paneer it is really very scrumptious i never enjoyed this kind of food anywhere in canada. Moreover, it is very good place to eat out.
I tried food Food from Bombay to go many times and never disappointed. Same experience this time and I couldn’t stop myself writing that this is the best indian food in the city.
Surprisingly, this place has a high rating but I still dont know. All fake reviews do the job here. The food was TERRIBLE!We ordered the following items:•Chicken Tikka•Jumbo meal (which was supposed to have Naan, one chicken dish, rice and samosa)The chicken bhuna looked like it was just boiled with no spices, and the gravy was uncooked and it tasted awful. The chicken tikka ($13had 6 mini pcs of chicken which was tasteless, chicken was hard, didn’t even have salt forget about spices. Naan felt like we were chewing elastic. To serve food they give you paper plates which cannot even hold a gravy dish.Normally, I dont write reviews but this was worth it so it can save someone else from going to Bombay to Go.This was the worst food we have ever had!!!!!WORST PLACE EVER! WILL NEVER GO BACK! For the first time we felt like we wasted our money and time. Disgrace to Indian food. Pathetic!!!This restaurant does not even deserve half a star rating but had to give one star because it won’t let me submit the review!Date of visit: Oct 29, 2022
Service was great and fast. Nice restaurant. Butter chicken, naan, and rice was all perfect.
First time trying butter chicken, got the one with dark meat. The dish lacked flavour. Not enough salt. Tasted like tomato sauce and cream with not much flavour or spice. Cost $20 with tax. Not worth it.
It was an amazing experience! I got butter chicken and it tasted phenomenal. The staff was very friendly. The place is so clean. I was in love with the decoration too..If you are craving good indian food, you should give this place a shot
First time at Bombay to go & was not disappointed! One order will be enough for one person, but would suggest upgrading to a biryani & can be split for two people. The Chana masala & the butter chicken was delicious & the spiciness was on par to their description. The naan was soft & delicious & the atmosphere was homey & inviting. It is about a 20-30 min wait so would suggest ordering ahead. Workers were friendly & attentive. Would eat here again!
The best butter chicken you will ever taste, I recommend bombay togo for everyone looking for the best food ever. I come down all the way from waterloo for their food hopefully they open more locations soon🤍🤍
The chicken tikka is fantastic. Lamb vindaloo could be spicier but tastes great. Great spot overall!
I tried the butter chicken poutine from this restaurant and it tasted amazing, I would give it a solid 8.5/10. The staff was overall very polite and the interior design of the place was immensely creative as they had a wall filled with paintings of Bollywood stars. They also sell the best as well as the coldest cans of coke there lol.
Veggie spring rolls are awesome..mix veggie rice is almost like home cooked…less spice and masala…delicious 😊😊
The butter chicken dish was quite good (not the best in town - Bombay Palace and Avani are better), but the amount of meat you get for the price was meager.
*MELTED MY HEART WHILE CLOGGING MY ARTERIES! 😁The butter chicken is to die for! Its killer!I am so tempted to return here and try the other varieties of butter chicken! The staff are so kind and its a very relaxed and downright hilarious atmosphere suitable for the whole family!
Unbelievable food and most importantly service. Had their butter chicken lunch special…. Spices and flavour were to die for. Thanks to the owner for being to hospitable. Liked it so much taking meals home with us to Ottawa.
Seriously some of the best butter chicken and lamb we have ever had. The simosas were delicious (a bit spicyand the nann bread was warm and tasty. The restaurant is full of positive affirmations and funny notes. The people are nice and friendly and the food is in great portions. The mango lassi is a treat.Definitely a place to eat regularly
Went here a few times , never disappointed. This place serves the most delicious food and has real good environment. If you want to have tasty food this place is a must try.
Wonderful place. Great food and super-friendly staff. The quotes gives the place a cool vibe. 😎
Me and wife had an amazing lunch at Bombay to go! We had been craving for good Indian food for a while so we decided to check this place out. We tried the combo meal and their butter chicken was indeed quite amazing! Overall a great dining experience!
Ordered here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised. Everything was tasty and good quality. Chicken was cooked perfectly and every dish had great flavor. We ordered the samosas, spring rolls, green chicken, tandoori chicken, Mattar paneer, butter chicken, okra and chicken Tikka with garlic naan and everything was delicious. Portion size and presentation was good as well.
I eat here quite frequently, and find that the food is constantly delicious, and a great price!!!!!!! The staff is very friendly and service is great, try it out, you wont be disappointed .
We ordered paneer tikka masala kadai paneer and naan. Their naan was the best i have had in a long time, and we eat naan-paneer twice a month! The paneer tikka masala was also very good and flavourful. The staff was also very friendly.
This is my go to place for Indian food. Being a picky eater myself I can definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic taste. Their portion sizes are very generous as well. A lot of places cut down on their quality and quantity ever since pandemic started but not this restaurant and I really admire you guys for that. Last time I was there to pickup the order the owner himself was in the kitchen and today he delivered the food himself. This speaks volumes to me how owner is so involved in how his restaurant is being run which is why it’s so high quality. Please keep your food quality and quantity the same. I’m a regular customer and will remain 😊
Happen to be in the plaza doing a Rust Check, I am so glad I did because I found this amazing restaurant. The mango lassi was perfect, not overly sweet; the perfect mixture of yogurt flavor + mango to cool down the spices from the food.Veggie pakora was SUPER crispy and the homemade green sauce was PERFECT. Plus the portion size was really fair, would be a great lunchtime snack just to order this.I also got the North Indian style Butter chicken spicy, and I think this might be my favorite butter chicken I have tasted yet. The spice wasnt overly on the front, it built up over the course of the meal as a proper spicy dish should. By the end I was left with a huge smile and a bit of sweat on my forehead. Will definitely be back with the wife to try more of the menu.
OK well...I had lunch the other day at the Port Credit location. The owner Manish was so great, service was perfect and the food was incredible. I had the best butter chicken Ive ever had. Definitely will be back! (Jeff Jones)
This is the best butter chicken you can find. Amazing naan bread made fresh and the lamb bhuna is a winner too. Im a big fan of the samosas always grab a few on the side and my son loves mango lassi from here. Highly recommend this restaurant, the owner takes pride in his restaurant and cooking and the place is super clean
Best butter chicken in town and I’ve tasted plenty. We have been coming here for years. Owners and staff are humble & awesome people. They always go above and beyond, very accommodating always! For instance when my daughter had a cold and wanted butter chicken I told her no dairy and our food was made with coconut milk. Garlic naan huge & tasty. In fact everything we’ve ever ordered here is simply delicious and portions are perfect.Thank youStella & Asha
By far the worst panner tikka masala I had, just sweet gravy no flavour, Just tasted sweet. After that they haven’t changed the prices on there menu so don’t be surprised when you get there and price if double and food don’t even worth it.
I have not been to Bombay Indian restaurant since the bombing incident a few years back. theyve rebranded it to bb. but, any long term local, know the truth about this spot. I purchased one of my favourite dishes , chola baturay (forgive the spelling, and it was lack luster and flavourless. ill stick to nan next time
Would give this place a 4 star rating because of the taste and quality of food. Buttercchicken and paneer tikka masala are my favorites..a bit sweet but not too sweet as it should be.. must try starters are .. paneer poppers and spring rolls
Love this place! Rainbow, the owner, is such a hospitable individual. Had such an amazing in house experience. Got a chance to attend a cooking class and witnessed naan making magic! The team here is so hardworking and friendly. The food is just as amazing. Highly recommend!!
This place is definitely underrated, and deserves more recognition. Based on their proudly displayed best butter chicken in the city banner, I had high expectations of Bombay To Go. They did not disappoint! As someone who cant handle food that is too spicy, but who does not want to compromise on flavour, this place does an excellent job of balancing those things. I usually ask for mild, and I dont feel like it is watered down at all; just the right amount of spicy, and great flavour. I originally tried the butter chicken here, and it is very delicious; get some naan bread to go with it, and its one of the tastiest meals you can have. I stopped eating poultry due to animal welfare concerns about one year ago, and I love that they offer butter lamb. It tastes really good, and satisfies my craving for butter chicken despite my dietary restriction.
First time try this famous dish Butter Chicken, It absolutely blew my mind 💥Freaking delicious and indulging, I’m a small eater but I couldn’t stop eating till the last drop of the sauce, beautifully seasoned and cooked.Highly recommend!! I would definitely come back for this😘
Best baingan bharta in the gta! Tastes smoky like in india. I tried the dish from 5 other restaurants and they were all bad. This place is definitely worth the drive. Chicken tikka is tasty too. Only thing id say is the naan is kinda small.
It may look like another average Indian restaurant, but Bombay to Go is anything but! Amazing experience!I wandered in with a friend on a Weekday night, and was immediately greeted by the friendly owner of the restaurant.Incredible food varieties with the aroma of various spices used in yogurt, veg cutlets and spicy Paneer curry! Exotic Naan on top was an add-on to this experience! Luxury was the ambience of this place! Everything here had a different vibe!P.s. do read the quotes on the wall!Would recommend everyone to visit once for sure :)Happy New years! May you prosper more in this new decade✨Purva (From the land of Osho💕
Delicious food, made to order. We came in four some vegan options, they provided a few, and modified the dishes to accommodate us, WOW!!. Great taste and service. Only wish they had a few more vegan choices.
We came in kind of late for a quick dinner and didnt know what to expect but our server was very welcoming, kind and helpful to me and my parents. Great atmosphere and we loved the wall of film stars, and the chicken tikka and chicken bhuna masala we ordered were delicious!
Excellent place, excellent food, excellent hospitalityI came here on a Monday evening with family for dinner. The environment inside is very soothing and there was mind relaxing music and a feeling of peace inside.Thankfully place doesn’t offers wifi and wants people to talk (loved the though)The food was served with gentle smile and warmth. Food was very tasteful and low on oil and unwanted doze of heavy spices. The taste was very well balanced and everything was just optimum to meet the taste.Must try mango lassi here ... it was awesome.Unfortunately we couldn’t eat non veg due to some religious restrictions for this time. I’m surely coming back for tasting butter chicken here.
Good Indian food at a good price!!Very tasty and very less oil! The Creamy Chicken Curry was very good and very different. The presentation is good as well. Next time Im in mississauga Ill go here for sure!
The vegetable biriyani was sumptuous. The paneer was soft and the mixed vegetables perfectly spiced. Really a good indian dining option!
Excellent experience here on a Tuesday evening! The owner greeted us, as I don’t eat Indian food often he assisted me in choosing the perfect vegan dinner. I had chickpeas, cauliflower and potato with rice. I would definitely recommend this location for Indian food, although not a buffet, the quality is superior. Also, the posters inside the location definitely are worth reading. Thank you so much!
New place to order one of the best chicken Biryani. High quality food. A bit pricey compared to other places but u get for what u pay. I recommend it for sure.
I would say they shouldn’t praise themselves so much and instead focus on the quality of the food, that would earn them good reviews. Chicken tikka masala as the name goes was low in masala and high in spice (too chilly). Chicken pieces were plain (like butter chickenin a dish called Chicken tikka masala. Daal makhani was awesome. Tandoori rotis were so so. Staff is friendly and ambience is good.
Visited Bombay to go on a Saturday , wanted to try out this place after going through all the positive reviews on Google. Bombay to go is definitely one of the top Indian restaurants in GTA, though i found it a bit expensive but surely youll get your moneys worth. Their signature dish is butter chicken which has a unique tangy taste to it and is throughly enjoyable with naan, the seekh kababs were awesome. All in all a great experience and will recommend Bombay to go for those looking to try out Indian cuisine with a twist.
Had dinner with friends and family party of 7. Butter chicken $13.99 is very good as advertised. Channa masala $11.99, allo ghobi $11.99, lamb biryani $12.99 and green chicken $13.99 were very good also. Portions are larger and suited the prices charged for curries compared to other places. All were mildly spiced but it was just a bit too hot for me and few others. Largely enjoyed the meal with soothing freshly made yogurt with cubes of cucumber along with tasty salty and mango lassi $4.50 each. Butter naan was fresh and just crispy to hold the curry. Read the signs, quotes and sayings as you inhale the spices throughout.
I saw the rave reviews of the butter chicken but decided to try the biryani instead. For me, biryani is a staple and indicates the quality of food in the restaurant. I have to admit I was worried about it being oily and heavy but it wasnt. It was spectacular! The chicken Tikka appetizer was a great plate too. I will recommend to family and friends. 👌
