An absolute great evening with friends. Food, service and decor was amazing. Highly recommended 👌The garlic prawns for the starter was amazing, and the kerela fish curry was a delight. Looking forward to coming back

Went a few weeks ago but forgot to write a review!Had a fab time for my besties birthday! Loved our food. Only down side was my friend had to ask for extra chillies as the food wasnt spicy enough for her (she likes her food extra spicy!)The star of the show was definitely the Gadbad Sundae for dessert absolutely amazing! The chilli syrup with the ice creams was a stroke of genius! The food was delicious and they even gave my bestie a complimentary dessert for her birthday! The atmosphere was fun and the decor was beautiful and unique, such a great place to eat. We would definitely recommend Bombay Bustle to everyone we know.Service was good but our server did forget to bring the chillies we asked for and forgot to bring the bill after we asked so we did have to ask twice for these things but the restaurant was busy so it was understandable and didnt really have any impact on how much we enjoyed our visit. We will definitely be back!!

The spinach side dish was perhaps best. The tiger prawns and samosa were really nice. Generally food was ok but not the spice and flavours you usually expect for Indian! Very nice staff and great central location

Overall a pleasant dinner. Food was above average but lacked that final detail to make it a front runner in the London Indian scene. We did the tasting menu, which is very filling. Staff were eager to please, maybe a little too much.. somehow I left happy but not excited about wanting to go back.

Went in 2019 and left a 5* review. Deleted and replaced. This place is now a COMPLETE RIP-OFF. I don’t mind spending £75 a head (one drink each, no desertif I’m getting real value but here you 100% are not. One of our main courses, a chicken curry, was £28 and contained five small chunks of chicken. Yes, I counted. It is of course trendy, and the tiny amount of food you do get is tasty, but is just not worth it. Oh, and the fact the owner has his book on a little stand by the entrance to try and rinse a few more quid out of you is about as classy as the chap I saw throwing up on the tube on the way home. Go to dishoom.

The prices were astronomical but the food was merely good.I came here as part of an evening out for work. As such the food was expensed. Its a good thing too because I would have been very disappointed if I paid out of my own pocket.Without doubt I would recommend somewhere like Fatt Pundit or Dishoom where the quality of food is just as good but the prices are more reasonable

Either theyre trying to cheat or just incompetent. We ordered the brunch bundle for 3 which was already overpriced for what it is. Twice we had to ask for missing food as they only brought two portions. There were four in our party and they tried to force the whole table to take the set menu even though the menu clealry states "minimum of 2" not the whole table must take it. The lamb curry also had exactly 3 small pieces of lamb in it. The bundle also included a free cocktail or mocktail. Cocktails are double the price but they tried to charge for all drinks separately. On top of this the service was poor and our server needed a shower. Then they have the cheek to charge 13.5% service. Overall the food was nice enough but best to avoid this place and go somewhere where they actually care about the food, the experience, and arent trying to cheat you.

I’ve been a patron of Jamavar and of Samyukta Nair’s brand for the several years I have lived in London. Hence, it is not surprising as to why I continue returning to Bombay Bustle. There is something very homelike about this tucked in Indian restaurant. The staff make you feel as though you are in their home in India, the interiors are designed as to make you feel like you are on a journey on an Indian Orient Express and the food fails to disappoint. My favourites include the broccoli starter, the raj kachori, the garlic naans and the saag(creamy spinach). If i have to criticise.. an area of improvement would be the black dal and the butter chicken. Both the dishes are standouts in Indian cuisine so it’s a shame that the dishes here at Bombay Bustle lacked the kick, the spice and creaminess that they ought to.

We were 6 minutes late for our 14:30 booking and were told theyre closed and we cant come in. The booking clearly states the tables are held for 15 minutes and last orders can be taken 14:45 for lunch. The waiter or manager, whatever he was, did not communicate any of this and came across fairly rude and uninterested.Ive never been denied entry into a restaurant for being 6 minutes late on the booking. Ive eaten here before and enjoyed it, but after this experience I will not be returning and would not recommend to anyone. Theres plenty of good restaurants in London to choose from that will make you feel welcome. More than I can say for this place. Very disappointing.

We had the weekend chillies, which is their version of a brunch and it was excellent. As was the ambience and the service. My only criticism is over the cancellation policy, where they will charge £50/person if you cancel within 48hrs. This is completely unjustifiable and will put me off coming back.

Set is the atmosphere on an enlarged train car in decor. Food is mediocre and not up to par with what is expected from fine dinning. Price is excessive and service is almost friendly with a rush to get you in and out. We arrived early and asked to sit at the bar for a cocktail. They said we just opened any you can sit at your table and enjoy a drink before you order. We said ok and sat down. Ordered a drink and before we even had a cheer the request to place the order came. They would attempt to take serving dishes with food before one was finished with the meal and one hour and fifteen into our booking they told us that our time was up. Well buyer beware at this restaurant it is not worth the price and service is sub par. I will mot return and would strongly recommend you consider going elsewhere. Sorry.

Restaurant: The ambiance was pleasant and has good music throughout the night that was not too loud. Everything is very well kept and maintained eg even the door handles in the bathrooms were sparkling!Staff: All very attentive and friendly! Could not fault them at all they made sure we we’re happy at all stages of the night.Food: We got the sharing platter for £75 each per person (note on the website it still says £70). There was overall a good amount of food for the price, the starters and tandoori assorted meats were delicious. We had a good amount of chutney throughout the meal etc. Where everything unfortunately went downhill was the mains. This reflects the 3/5 star rating I have given. I was looking forward to a rich gravy with the meat dishes (we got lamb and chickenit was watery and lacked flavour.I thought perhaps we got the set menu version of the curries but I looked over at fellow diners in the restaurant and their curries had the same consistency. The best part for me is a rich gravy, this one barely even had any fat on the surface which indicated either a watering down or just no richness of ingredients. The lamb also tasted quite over cooked and slightly cheap. If the main course has been what I expected it would have been a straight 5/5. It was slightly disappointing because of the v high price point, if I had not got a set menu and some value from the amount of food served I would have been fuming if I spent £24 on a watery chicken curry. For context I am from an Indian background so was expecting it to taste as good, if not better to what I have at home.Overall: It was nice, but the main course let us down.

I booked this week in advance for my partners birthday. I asked if I could bring a cake and I received an e-mail back that there would be a £5 per person cake charge, this is shocking as I have never known a restaurant (especially a high end one as Ive been to manythat require a £5 per person "Cake charge" to replace the desserts not purchased. May I also add we spent just under £500, Im sure Bombay Bustle could have allowed us to bring a cake out of courtesy.Anyway this wasn’t the biggest issue, I responded to the e-mail and said ‘its fine I don’t be bringing a cake’. On arrival the first thing I was reminded of was the £5 per person cake charge when I was standing next to my partner, we didn’t even bring a cake in the end despite and responding to the e-mail I don’t know why your staff felt they needed to remind me, this obviously gave away any form of surprise to my partner who was standing next to me, now I understand it was an honest mistake by the staff so I didn’t want to upset the person who said this to us, I just felt she could have been a bit mindful but anyway, once again this wasn’t the biggest issue...The main issue was the lady who attended to us downstairs, I didn’t catch her name but she was Caucasian with blond hair tied in a bun...she had no manners and constantly rushed us, she said we only had a 2 hour slot and needed to order quickly or she would be forced to move us... This made me feel incredibly uncomfortable, no only had no one told us about this "2 hour slot" but to be told wed be "forced to move" really shocked me. This whole experience is such a shame and could have easily been avoided, the food was good and the place is lovely but the staff were shocking. I was honestly so taken back by the poor attitude of the 2 ladies we had to deal with I didn’t even complain, we just ate and got out of there. I cannot recommend this restaurant based on the customer service.

I went to Bombay Bustle for lunch with a colleague. We were not disappointed. We tried a fair few dishes from the starters and loved it all. The dosas were my favourite along with the king prawns. The staff were friendly and didnt rush us, we took our time and they were very helpful in helping us select dishes.I would def go back again.

Visited Bombay Bustle on a Sunday evening with a friend. We sat on the lower level of the restaurant and the decor was pretty. It took over 45 mins for someone to take our drinks order. We ordered a starter and two main dishes with sides. The chops were over seasoned and very spicy and the broccoli florets were tasteless. However, the biryani tasted good. The karak chai was over spiced with ginger. The mocktails were delicious, we tried the berry one and the passion fruit, mango drink. It took over an hour for the food to be served and for £170 which it what our bill came to, I think it was overpriced.

Now we get to the main even of Indian restaurants in Central London. An unassuming exterior boasting a restaurant that is anything but. The price would make even the most seasoned of oligarchs eyes water but I wasn’t paying so what the hell! We started our Sunday brunch with an in trend charcoal cocktail which was style over substance. Never mind- I went crazy with an array of dishes one of which, the truffle scrambled eggs made me yearn for another! The dosas were a nice touch and the panner kulcha was delectable! This is the place you want to take your date to impress!Dress code: smartCost: ££££ 🤑Service: AdequateAmbience: Loud and crampedTop tip: Better seating downstairs.

Visited for lunch and had the express menu. Starters and dessert were good but main course was very ordinary (I can cook better food at home). Portions were good (for main but not for starters). service was good (except they don’t tell you about express menu unless you ask for it). However, at this price point, the food is definitely not worth coming back for…

Lovely Indian restaurant right in the middle of central London. Free parking during weekends on single yellow. Restaurant very welcoming and cosy. Very nice ambience. Excellent customer service. Everyone was smiling and enjoying. Food is really good but I think it is expensive for what it is. I felt that the food wasnt as tasty as it could have been. I had to add salt to some of the dishes such as chicken madras. The vegetable Biriyani was delicious. Coca cola bottle is 200ml. That is disappointing. Usually it should be 330ml. The price you are charging for 200ml is daylight robbery. The music in the restaurant was very loud. It is like you are in a night club. Please turn the music down a bit. The waiter couldnt even hear my order clearly and I couldnt even hear the waiter. Everyone is literally talking loudly to hear each other because the music is so loud.

Food is authentic and delicious BUT DEFINITELY THE DISHES ARE DOUBLE PRICE AS COMPARED TO OTHER RESTAURANTS. one time experience! They serve delicious cocktails (I tried Red Rain - fabulous😋 It’s very busy and too loud. I feel the seating could be better - you can listen to the conversations of others so I felt uncomfortable in chatting personal things :/

The food, the service, everything was phenomenal. My husband and I were recently on vacation in London and this restaurant was the food highlight of the trip! Everything on the menu was delicious and the servers were so attentive I felt like I was at a Michelin star restaurant (and we’ve dined at a few including In at Little Washington). This place matches Rasika DC quality, 5 out of 5 recommend and will definitely go back when we vacay again in the UK.

Deserves to be a 5 star restaurant!I went on my wedding night in 2021 and had the time of my life! A night we would never forget. Everything was still up to par and I just love the style of inside the restaurant.Very good Indian carriageway theme throughout.Let’s get this restaurant to 5 stars!! ⭐️

Beautiful venue, good service. My partner booked for my birthday. The starters were tasty, we had keema pao and garlic prawns. The mains were good as well. However, we ordered the tawa crab. When something is cooked on the tawa I expect it to be dry, this was a curry and the there were no chunks of crab, the crab was melted in.I was not impressed with the dessert at all. The Jalebi cheesecake was a cheesecake with a few broken jalebis in it.I think the food was overpriced for what it was.

It was a special anniversary to us both so we decided to head into London for the weekend. So glad to have found this special gem in Mayfair. The service from start to finish was tremendous. We never felt ignored, drinks were always topped up and the staff were super friendly. Im very picky with Indian restaurants as I never find them quite like home, but the flavours here were superb. We will definitely be back to visit again. And thank you for the surprise anniversary cake :D

Right in the middle of central london Mayfair, excellent place for Indian food. Once you get inside the understated exterior/entrance, the ambience inside is bustling!! There is seating downstairs too, but ground level is better, more livelier. The 3/4 set course options are tasty and wholesome. The Bambaiya Ragada is the right start and ends with the Kulfi combo. With delicious options for chicken and fish/prawn in between

Wanted to give 5* but was unfortunately slightly disappointed 😞. Food itself tasted great especially the Paneer Tikka N Mushroom, had to order another plate. The same can be said for the Paneer Butter Masala for mains. Value for money was poor, chicken madras had 3 small pieces for £20. Food came hot but went cold quickly! The Bohri Lamb Samosa were 2 very small samosas for £10, thats £5 each for a small buffet sized samosa, clearly wasnt enough for a party of 5.Overall, Ambience was lively, more casual dining than fine but thats ok. Food presentation was average and decor ok. Wine menu was good but expensive again. Cheapest bottles were circa £40 for a 2017 and the average price was a bottle was circa £55. Booking a table was easy and the host was tentative and very efficient.
