Bolsi - Paraguayan restaurant in Caacupe, Paraguay
Great Paraguay food.
Amazing food! Get the same I got. Look at the photo. Its fish with cheese and mashed potatoes. Amazing!
Food is nice and postres are to die for 😍
We had no idea how the area that looked like a self-service at the entrance worked so we ended up at the fancier part of the restaurant. The staff was very professional and the food was delicious. Its on the pricier side but nothing too crazy.
Fun atmosphere and good beer choices.
There was a lineup but it was quick to get in. The fish soup was delicious.
great American restaurant here in Paraguay. ive been several times and love ot
Delicious food great service, I love their bolognessa sauce, it is sweet, smooth, creamy, INCREDIBLE! If your new to Paraguay this is a great place to have lunch or dinner at!
A must visit. Very tasty food and good service. The Paraguayan típico taste plate was great
Very good restaurant if you want to taste the Paraguayan food
Great place and probably one of the most well known restaurants in Asunción! It is a very busy place on the weekend, but its worth the wait! Here is where I tried most of the typical Paraguayan pastries, which were all amazing! Recommend this place for sure!
Steak is great. And other dishes as well
Absolute nice food and service!
Very nice experience at Bolsi, I had bife de chorizo rustico with potatoes and fried onions. It was excellent. 400gm of heaven with a cup of malbac and creme brulee to boot. The service was just excellent. Resterant was nice, dining inside but they also had dining outside and had a bakery attached. Highly recommended in Asuncion a very old establishment.
Good traditional place with indoor and outdoor seating. They have baked items such as chipas, saltenas etc, soups, but also fish and meat. Some craft beers on tap of which Herken Pale Ale I can really recommend.
I very rarely write recommendations, but this restaurant gets a glowing one! Despite the fact that they offer a wide array of options, they make it all delicious. Went here two nights in a row with a group of 13 people and nobody was ever disappointed with what they got! (Without pushing our limits, upon further request(s), they even personalized our orders. Great staff, surprisingly wonderful restaurant. Can highly recommend! Suited for meat-lovers, pescetarians, vegetarians, vegans and even raw vegans!
Nice place to have snacks or meal with good quality and regular prices.
I think this place is one of the most well known spots in Asuncion so its definitely worth the visit! Always busy and does fast food like coxinha amongst other things. Theyre really good and pretty cheap too. Its worth visiting if you want a quick lunch in a busy spot amongst loads of locals.
Their qr menu is very complicated to use. They dont have a digital ordering platform when you scan the qr code and order what you want; what you get are very hard to read single pdfs for each category so it makes it rather uncomfortable and long for your meal to arrive.
Great food can have long waits to get a table but well worth it. Parking van be a challenge if the parking next door is closed
I read some pretty bad reviews (on Facebookfrom a few months back but we had a very good experience today. Food was great and the service was very good, too.
If you are in asuncion visiting this a place you must go!! It has his history (if im not mistaking one of the oldest restaurant in the city still in businessthe have a great variety of dishes in the menu meat, chicken, fish, vegeterian, pork and desserts! Ive been there a few times and trust me!!!...Everytime i go is the great quality food and service that you always expect from them.Pictures are a river fish soup called surubi traditional to the country (must try)Chicken in herbs and fried rice.
Love the place, its a classic from downtown Asunción.. whatever you choose from their extensive menu, pretty much everything taste delicious. Before corona, it used to be the only real restaurant in town opening 24/7, for now only until midnight though. In peek hours, getting a table is not straight forward, gotta put yourself in a waiting list.
Apparently a must visit in Asuncion. A all day long restaurant which serves all your needs. It had a pretty good menu and food was nice. I liked also the staff which was friendly. The patio outside is very pleasant at night
A mix of locals and turists make it a perfect place to have a quick chat, good food, coffee and/or beer. The staff is right to the point, without excessive sympathy.Try the coxinha and enpanadas.
I had a decent breakfast here at this popular restaurant. There are more breakfast choices here than the Juan Valdez across the street. They have a really good plate of fruit and even boiled some eggs along side my morning coffee and juice. Overall I paid 62,000. I would go back again. The cleanliness of the seating area of the restaurant good be improved though.
I visit Asunción at least once a month. It takes about 15 minutes to walk from the hotel to this place. Open 24 hours, it just feels like home away from home. Sitting at the counter and just watching the kitchen staff and the waitresses doing their work is amazing. So much noise from people chatting, ordering food, coming in and out of the restaurant reminds you that this place is Alive. Plenty of options as for the food; everything is really good. Consistent, abundant and freshly made plates is what they serve here. Great Service. Great Ambiance. Great Food.0
One of the best restaurants in Asunción.
We had a lovely evening at Bolsi. The restaurant was cozy. They offer an excellent range of Paraguayan food, which were absolutely delicious :)
Lots of movement, selection of typical Paraguayan foods, quick service and good food.
Great food in this very classic restaurant of the Paraguay gastronomy.Don’t forget the opportunity to try river seafood (Surubi, Pacu etc....your are not going to be disappointed.Ask for the “a la teja” Surubi, it is a classic here.If you doubt for just one second do not hesitate on check my pictures.
Its not expensive and offer great meals. Excellent benefit-cost imo.
First day in Asunción, and I decided to eat here! I’ve to say, I was very happy with the decision as it’s an amazing restaurant with super friendly staff! Especially señor Oscar, he was super nice and had an amazing friendly nature! The food was delicious, and I loved the pollo, stroganoff de pollo!! Super bien!
Had their nachos and was pleasantly surprised on the amount to eat in this serving. Have tried to order some nacho plates in other locations but they come out un-inspired or without much substance. These wheat nachos had some decent surface area to load all the toppings and the especially the guac. I liked the unique guayaba hotsauce as well. Disappointed most of the beers I wanted werent available. Tried the local craft beer and loved it. Great place and can tell why it has the history it does.
Good local food, nice „busy but friendly“ atmosphere, and also for people who eat alone very attractiv, because you never sit alone.
Now they have 24hrs delivery app which is amazing. I would say one of the best mbeyu in town! And their sopa paraguaya and empanada Chilena are sooooo tasty! Is a must come restaurant in Asunción I would say
Spectacular! The best restaurant Ive been to in Paraguay absolutely! Ive been twice and am not disappointed. The menu is large, yet the quality of items is by no means short changed. Highly recommend, and I look forward to returning for my third time.
We ate here three times during our stay. The menu is extensive and well prepared. Our experience was spoiled when the waiter 1asked for a tip, which my friend gladly gave. 2but then overcharged us, and 3then after it was corrected, our credit card was charged three times. We were dining with our Paraguyan friends, so I was surprised they would try to cheat us
Delicious the home speciality, the fish suribi. This dish is a must to be try when you come to visit Asuncion. Good service and general quality.
Delicious food and a great night of local and international cuisine with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options (which is rare in Asuncion). The prices vary, but this place attracts a lot of tourists as well as locals. They have great beers and the service is fantastic.
Their menu is amazing! Their chefs can cook anything! They have 2 sections... a more casual walk in section and counter. They also have a really nice restaurant section for dinner. And they have a bakery in house! The staff was super nice!
Very cool joint, they also have open space seating. Incredible food as well.
Loved the food here! Beef was a overcooked a little on one side, but it was still red inside. Very delicious!
The bread, beer, and appetizer has been great. I am looking forward to the rest of the meal.
Its a nice place, atmosphere is a bit weird. Customer service should be improved and also maybe they should train their staff in pouring beer in a glass. However, food is exceptional. Wine is good and beer likewise. We had ceviche and pira caldo. Very tastefull.
Bolsi is a very pleasant restaurant surprise. I almost couldnt believe the good rating of the place, but after an early burger dinner with happy hour drinks I can agree - Bolsi is an awesome place. These veggie burgers are just excellent! They have many other vegetarian options as well, such as salads, dips, pizzas and sandwiches. Affordable prices and great crowded atmosphere. Seating available in the restaurant, pub or outdoors. Only slight minus was our first waiter who was totally uninterested in his job and serving us. He was replaced with another waiter who was much better at his job!
Excellent food, great ambiance. A must visit when in asincion.
Staff is very friendly and nice, I got a chicken soup, test was very good, but chicken was a bit dry. Enpanada de carne flavor is delicious, they use cumin I think. Expresso coffee is a bit mild for my taste was ok. Cozy place to share a good moment with friends.
If you are from Paraguay, you might have heard of Bolsi at least once in your life. It is a great place and it has one of the most varied menus Ive ever seen. They are a different restaurant in paraguay, you will feel its atmosphere once you get in. It is always packed up with lots of people and it is mostly loud. I do love the pleace though. I am a vegan and they have a vegan menu available. Food is Okay, I had better vegan options in asunción but at least this is 24/7. One thing you should know if you are a vegan is: I asked for a muffin once and it was not good at all, I guess its because they dont produce it there, they work with a vegan cook who provides them with her food, so I guess they froze the muffin and thats why it wasnt good anymore, overall I think Bolsi is a great restaurant and I would recomend it to everyone because it has lots of options.
Great typical foods of Paraguay. Good place to take friends that want to try Paraguayan snacks!
