Only Muslims are allowed to enter for prayer. Nothing too special inside also. Beautiful from the outside.

Bolo Haouz Mosque is a historical mosque in Bukhara, Uzbekistan. Built in 1712, on the opposite side of the citadel of Ark in Registan district, it is inscribed in the UNESCO World Heritage Site list along with other parts of the historic city. It served as a Friday mosque during the time when the emir of Bukhara was being subjugated under the Bolshevik Russian rule in the 1920s. Thin columns made of painted wood were added to the frontal part of the iwan (entrancein 1917, additionally supporting the bulged roof of summer prayer room. The columns are decorated with colored muqarnas.

Beautiful masjid! Its different than the other ones around. You cant go inside however unlike a lot of the others it is still used as a masjid. The prayer entrance is though the side and they do have a small area for women.

Beautiful mosque with stellar pillars at the front.Only downside is that there is little information available on-site.Inside the building is a souvenir shop.

An ancient beautiful mosque. If you come to Bukhara, you should visit and pray there. I enjoyed the Friday prayer in this place. Moreover, I can say that the imams of this mosque are awesome.

La moschea è attualmente chiusa ma questo non impedisce di apprezzare gli eccellenti soffitti in legno e gesso dipinto del portico. La vasca davanti alla moschea doveva servire per specchiare la stessa e ottenere uno spettacolare effetto di "doppia vista" del frontale della stessa...effetto che si perde a causa della scarsità attuale dacqua per cui nella vasca ce ne sono pochi litri e in aggiunta verdi.

Замечательное сооружение, с красивейшими узорами на потолках, красивейшими айванами и мозаикой.Мечеть Боло-хауз возведена на средства матери узбекского правителя Абулфейз-хана — Ситораи Мохи-хоса; до Революции служила главной пятничной мечетью Бухары, в ней молился бухарский эмир. Зимняя мечеть и хауз были сооружены в 1712 году, фасад зимней мечети был заслонен расписным айваном летней мечети на гипертрофированно вытянутых колоннах. Согласно М. Ю. Саиджонову, айван был отремонтирован в 1917 году. В том же году зодчим Ширином Мурадовым был выстроен минарет.Мечеть отстроена по типу большой квартальной мечети и имеет зимнюю и летнюю части. Зимней частью является четырёхколонный зал, имеющий несколько входов. Летняя же часть — это айван, окружающий собой с трёх сторон зимний зал мечети.Колонны айвана сделаны из дерева в форме сталактитов и служат для поддержки потолка айвана, поэтому они укреплены на бетонном фундаменте. Колонны, находящиеся с одной из торцевых сторон айвана, выполнены особо — они образуют парадный вход в айван и затем зимнюю мечеть. Оформление интерьера характерно для XIX — начала XX веков.Бесплатное место, с небольшим хаузом. Народу не много.

Красивая мечеть снаружи. Внутрь не попали, совершался намаз. Завидую тем, кто смог попасть внутрь и посмотреть. Очень красивый вход в мечеть: все из резного дерева, отличное состояние, интересно решено архитектурно.Под этим сводом можно встретить лавочников с монетами и др сувенирами.Рядом старая башенка и прудик, много лавочек в тени деревьев можно отдохнуть.Мечеть прямо рядом с башней Шухова

Beautiful mosque and beautiful architecture. The entrance is free but donations are accepted. They don’t allow you taking pictures from the inside but I saw some people taking pictures while it was a huge board saying NO PHOTOS AND NO VIDEOS.The mosque is more beautiful from the outside than the inside.

Nice mosque to visit if you’re next to the Ark: especially the wooden columns are interesting.

Moschea Bolo - Hauz si trova a Bhukara, Uzbekistan, direi un posto unico è stupendo come tutti monumenti a Bhukara su questo sono molto bravi. Quando ci sono stata eravamo con la guida locale era molto bravo a spiegare le cose si chiamava Noric, ero molto grata di aver visitato questo posto mi è piaciuto molto.

Стариная мечеть. В ханские времена была главной, пятничной мечетью, в ней молился хан и его свита. Красивый резной потолок, внутрь попасть не удалось, шла служба.

They dont let women even stand in front of the mosque when they have an event. I think thats humiliating and disrespectful towards women, having in mind you dont even try to enter and sit with them.

View outside 300% better than inside, i would suggest not to go inside as its "free" but they will ask for donations when you leave

Ahşap sütunları ve tarihi yapısıyla farklı bir atmosfere sahip. Önünde havuz bulunan huzurlu güzel bir yer. Kesinlikle görmenizi tavsiye ederim

Si può già ammirare il suo ingresso dalla cima dellARK (che trovate di fronte.Molto bello ed elegante il porticato con colonne di legno finemente lavorate e capitelli squisitamente decorati. Un poco deludente l’interno molto spoglio tutto bianco e azzurrino. La Moschea fu costruita nel 1718 e rimase a lungo luogo di culto ufficiale degli emiri.

A beautiful working mosque. The Islamic carvings and plaster work on the facade is amazing. The use of thin carved wooden pillars as support is quite unique to Uzbek (or in central Asia?)as I have not come across this design in other Islamic countries that Ive visited so far . Good photo op from the opposite end of the pond in front of the mosque. On a calm day when the water is still, you can take a great pict of the mosque with its reflection in the pond..
